Hey, I-RIGHT-I, why not follow what the Bible says (you DO believe in the Bible, don't you?) -- if your right eye offends thee -- and everyone else -- pluck it out.

Chalabi's a spy for Iran, you know, the country that calls us the Great Satan and that Little George wants to invade. It's sheer thumbing-your-nose perversity that the neocons are greeting him as a hero after wasting our taxpayer dollars buying his 'Curveball' misintelligence that BushCo used to get us into a war that didn't need to be fought.

We need this and more. You make the demands, you go on strike. You have the money and the Republican contributors either do as we want or they go broke under our purchasing strike.

Oh my! A purchasing strike? I think that's a good idea please proceed. We will quake under the combined purchasing power of all you minimum wage losers. Yeah, that should do it all right.

"I’m talking about the kind of evil villain that by thought word and deed disparages our country and gives our enemies aid and comfort. (The Filthy Left in America)"
Comment by I-RIGHT-I — November 9, 2005 @ 3:12 pm

Is voicing a dissenting opinion to give "aid and comfort" to the enemy? Is stating that the Bush II administration "sold" the war by misrepresenting facts, manufacturing intelligence, and distorting the truth, to disparage the country? If anything, what is being disparaged is this administration that DOES NOT represent *you* in any way. You might be a card-carrying Republican, you might have helped vote them into office --but these people are NOT Republicans, or Christians. They just claim to be.

Why would you stand by an administration that lied to you when they said that Iraq was an impending danger? Iraq had no WMDs. The NeoCons in the White House knew it (or at the very least, suspected it), and they still pushed these claims about the "mushroom cloud" over Washington. If the war on Iraq was such a just and noble cause, why lie about it? When justice is on your side, there is no need to lie and/or misrepresent the facts.

You know that Bush's own 9/11 Commission found that there were no credible links between Hussein, and Al Qaeda –in spite of what the current administration said. This administration ordered the invasion of a country that posed no threat, and had no way of defending itself after so many years under sanctions. Is that one of the values you espouse?

You might think Iraqis are better now than under Saddam. Well, there is no difference anymore. It is now known that the US are using chemical weapons in Iraq – the same kind Saddam Hussein used on the Kurds. US military personnel have been convicted of torturing detainees in Abu Ghraib; and there are reports that they are not the exception to the rule –torture IS the rule in Iraq. Cities have been sieged, emptied, and then razed to the ground. Thousands of people have been left displaced, homeless, jobless, and with no way to feed and care for their loved ones. Does that represent you? Is that what you want to see Iraqis going through? Is that what you stand for?

Don't trust IRI.
Two career CIA experts just spoke on TV and their reply to the question "does our presence in Iraq have anything to do with this bombing today?" was it has everything to do with it.
Bush's folly in Iraq has cost our soldiers' lives, Iraqi lives, and damaged us all, maybe irreparably, going into the future.
BTW - have you read the reports today and yesterday (confirmed in the Army magazine) that USA used white phosporous as a weapon in Fallujah. Reports of the USA using napalm (MK77) are also in BBC news and Italian news. Horrific injuries and deaths - the USA did not sign on to weapons agreements.

Are you finally getting it? How many people in the ME would still be alive today if we hadn't declared an elective and immoral war? How many more have to die before you finally DO start blaming the only person who could authorize this heinious action?

You are clueless what the Iraqi’s think. You desperately want to believe it, but the truth the typical Iraqi wants peace and he won’t see that as long as we are occupying his soil.

You don't know what you're talking about. We have been asked to stay and for good reason. The typical Iraqi knows his goose is cooked the minute we leave and their own military isn't capable of repelling the Sunni Ba'athists and the Iranians.

Your side wants us out because the know Iraq will fall apart when we do leave. Basically your side doesn't care if 100,000 die just as long as America and George Bush lose. You people are pathetic and evil and if I had the power I'd throw the whole lot of you to the sharks off Club Gitmo. It's the Christian thing to do.

Gregor to you terrorists are freedom fighters and the US is an occupational force. Most of the Iraqi’s think you’re nuts and I agree. I-RIGHT-I, I hate to be the one to break the bad news to you, but the US IS an occupation force in Iraq.

Main Entry: oc·cu·pa·tion
Pronunciation: "ä-ky&-'pA-sh&n
Function: noun
Etymology: Middle English occupacioun, from Middle French occupation, from Latin occupation-, occupatio, from occupare
3 a : the act or process of taking possession of a place or area : SEIZURE b : the holding and control of an area by a foreign military force c : the military force occupying a country or the policies carried out by it

Iraqis would agree with me and not with you: A recent poll in Iraq revealed that 82% of respondents "strongly oppose" troops being in their country, 67% feel less secure and 72% have no confidence in the occupation forces. Also, 45% approve of attacks on foreign troops. See the article here: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2005/10/23/wirq23.xml&sSheet=/news/2005/10/23/ixworld.html

The American Negroe (sic) will never control anything until they learn to control themselves. They can agitate all they want for “better treatment” from Government agencies but that helps them not on whit when they go home loot and shoot each other. In my opinion what the American Negroe (sic) must do is wean themselves (sic) from the government teat and agitate among themselves for more personal accountability to the group.

There’s a lot of things to hate about Wal Mart. They buy sheep shit from the Red Chinese who produce almost everything they sell by prison, slave or peon labor. If it were my republic you wouldn’t get to vote at all unless you were male and had a vested interest in the country. That means if you actually produced something besides treasonous rhetoric.

If it were my republic you wouldn’t get to vote at all unless you were male and had a vested interest in the country. That means if you actually produced something besides treasonous rhetoric.

"Most of the Iraqi’s think you’re nuts"

Who told you that? This administration? The same people that lied about WMD?

You are clueless what the Iraqi's think. You desperately want to believe it, but the truth the typical Iraqi wants peace and he won't see that as long as we are occupying his soil.

The administration position towards Iraq, contrasts with take on Lebanon. Here are a few excerpts of a March 5, 2005 speech by Pres. Bush on the presence of Syrian troops in Lebanon:

Now why would Syrians want to be free, but the would Iraqis want to be occupied? Do you think the nationality of their occupiers makes a difference to Iraqis?

Comment by Gregor Samsa

Gregor to you terrorists are freedom fighters and the US is an occupational force. Most of the Iraqi's think you're nuts and I agree. But them I'm one of the good guys any you are an apologist for head choppers and assorted evil villains. Hell, you could be an evil villain yourself for all I know.

"Both Clintons and Gore and Kerry and a bunch more said Iraq was a major threat.I think we should put the whole lot in chains. How about you?"

*Sigh* That same fallacy again. It's getting old --I wish the Bush apologists got a new talking point.

Fact is IT DOES NOT MATTER WHAT "both Clintons and Gore and Kerry and a bunch more" said, agreed or disagreed on. They did not order the invasion based on fabricated intelligence, made-up "facts", and misinformation.

Bush was fixing the facts and intelligence around the policy of invading Iraq in 2002. Check the Downing Street Memos here: http://www.downingstreetmemo.com/

Members of his administration who are also members of the PNAC have been long-time advocates of "finishing the business" of removing Saddam from power. Look under "Iraq/Middle East" in the PNAC's web site: http://www.newamericancentury.org/

Again: what "both Clintons and Gore and Kerry and a bunch more" said is absolutely irrelevant –it was Bush who ordered the invasion of Iraq on a deception. The fact that Bill Clinton, in spite of what he thought, did NOT invade Iraq goes to show you what a responsible person does when confronted with evidence that runs against their opinions and/or beliefs.

"Obviously Saddam was and is an innocent man wrongly accuesed (sic) of mass murder, genocide and an invasion of a neighboring country. "

Well, then again I guess George Bush II and Saddam Hussein are even on this one – American troops have invaded Iraq and continue to occupy it. While there, they have incarcerated, tortured the innocent, laid siege to entire cities, cut water and other basic services to them, empty them them, and razed them to the ground. All these are war crimes.

The administration position towards Iraq, contrasts with take on Lebanon. Here are a few excerpts of a March 5, 2005 speech by Pres. Bush on the presence of Syrian troops in Lebanon:

"all foreign forces be withdrawn"
"A Syrian withdrawal of all its military and intelligence personnel would help ensure that the Lebanese elections occur as scheduled in the spring and that they will be free and fair"
"Lebanese citizens who have watched free elections in Iraq are now demanding the right to decide their own destiny, free of Syrian control and domination"

Now why would Syrians want to be free, but the would Iraqis want to be occupied? Do you think the nationality of their occupiers makes a difference to Iraqis?

Cheney should torture him until he hemmorages information. This is the irony of this administration, but unlike the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing, this administration does these sorts of things blatantly, with extreme arrogance. I'm happy to see the Democratic leadership finally standing up to these people!

#6 P&P, I believe you are right on the mark there.
Bush & Co. (Cheney in particular) owe the slimbag, traitorous Chalabi. He will get a posh seat in the new Iraqi government and Cheney's Halliburton, and all the subsidiaries will reap the billions.

But when Senator Durbin toasts and hosts Prince Turki Al-Faisal, Saudi Arabia's new ambassador to Washington, then it is totally okay. Did everone forget that Prince Turki was head of Saudi Intelligence and is considered the mentor of Osama Bin Laden?

Senator Durbin is a hypocrite. Maybe Chalabi should write him a check.
