Wal-Mart wants to start a bank. Yeah, you heard it: the country’s biggest company is trying to get into a business close to home, that’ll probably end up hurting consumers, workers, taxpayers, and communities in your home town.

Wal-Mart’s mistreatment of employees; its destructive impact on local communities, the environment, and small businesses; and the lawsuits it faces for discrimination tell us the problems we can expect from a Wal-Mart bank. Wal-Mart has an irresponsible past, so why should we think a Wal-Mart Bank will be any different?

I really hate this consumer attitude of buy cheap, don't take care of anything because you simply can buy more cheap crap; and there isn't anyone that has the skills any longer that can repair it anyway, and customer service, forget you. Whatever happened to buying quality, taking pride in taking care of it, and being conservative, fiscally and environmentally.

What the heck does "conservative" even mean these days... it seems to me the Republican party is everything but "conservative".

Maybe we should keep a list of companies that don't sell at Walmart and buy only from them.

Make your next lawnmover a Snapper!

#51 Z- I would give you solutions but suffice it to say that financial literacy is the easiest way to answer most of these questions. The details of what that means can be cataloged in a few hours on the internet and easily taught if we had a school system that wasn't anti-capitalist and anti-critical thinking. BUT, the important thing is what the hell is #52 grandpa talking about? I think we have a live one, somebody get me my pole and a lawn chair.....

Nothing is free my friend.

Program on the emergence of civilization.

"14 species of large animals capable of domesitcation in the history of mankind.
13 from Europe, Asia and northern Africa.
None from the sub-Saharan African continent. "
Favor.
And disfavor.

They point out Africans’ failed attempts to domesticate the elephant and zebra, the latter being an animal they illustrate that had utmost importance for it's applicability in transformation from a hunting/gathering to agrarian-based civilization.

The roots of racism are not of this earth.

Austrailia, aboriginals:::No domesticable animals.

The North American continent had none. Now 99% of that population is gone.

AIDS in Africa.

Organizational Heirarchy/Levels of positioning.
Heirarchical order, from top to bottom:

1. MUCK - perhaps have experienced multiple universal contractions (have seen multiple big bangs), creator of the artificial intelligence humans ignorantly refer to as "god"
2. Perhaps some mid-level alien management
3. Evil/disfavored aliens - runs day-to-day operations here and perhaps elsewhere

Terrestrial management/positioning:

4. Chinese/egyptians - this may be separated into the eastern and western worlds
5. Romans -
6. Mafia - the real-world 20th century interface that constantly turns over generationally so as to reinforce the widely-held notion of mortality
7. Jews, corporation, women, politician - Evidence exisits to suggest mafia management over all these groups.

Movies foreshadowing catastrophy
1985 James Bond View to a Kill 1989 San Francisco Loma Prieta earthquake.

Our society gives clues to the system in place. We all have heard the saying "He has more money than god." There is also an episode of the Simpsons where god meets Homer and says "I'm too old and rich for this."

This is the system on earth because this is the system everywhere.

I don't want to suggest the upper eschelons are evil and good is the fringe.

But they have made it abundantly clear that doing business with evil (disfavored) won't help people. They say only good would have the ear, since evil is struggling for survival, and therefore only the favored could help.

The clues are there which companies are favored and which are disfavored, but they conceal it very hard because it is so crucial.

I offer an example of historical proportions:::

People point to Walmart and cry "anti-union".
Unions enable disfavored people to live satisfactorly without addressing their disfavor. This way their family's problems are never resolved. Without the union they would have to accept the heirarchy, their own inferiority.
Unions serve to empower.
Walmart is anti-union because they are good. They try to help people address and resolve their problems by creating an enviornment where there are fewer hurdles.

Media ridicule and lawsuits are creations to reinforce people's belief that Walmart is evil in a subsegment of the indistry dominated by the middle and lower classes.
Low-cost disfavored Chinese labor is utilized by corporate america to maximize margins. They all do it. Only WalMart gets fingered because they are the ones who help, and those who seek to create confusion in the marketplace want to eliminate the vast middle class who have a real chance and instead stick with lower classes who may not work otherwise. So they dirty him up while allowing the others to appear clean.

The middle class is being deceived. They are being misled into the unfavored, and subsequently will have no assistance from their purchases with corporate america.

I believe the coining of the term "Uncle Sam" was a clue alluding to just this::Sam Walton and WalMart is one of few saviors of the peasant class.

Amercia is a country of castoffs, rejects. Italy sent its criminals. Malcontents.
Between the thrones, the klans and kindred, they "decided" who they didn't want and acted, creating discontent and/or starvation.
The u.s. is full of disfavored rejects. It is the reason for the myriad of problems not found in European countries. As far as the Rockafellers and other industrialists of the 19th century go, I suspect these aren't their real names. I suspect they were chosen to go and head this new empire.

Royalty is the right way to organize a society. Dictatorships and monarchies are a reflection of the antient's hierarchical organization.
Positions go to those who have favor with the rulers, as opposed to being elected.
Elections bring a false sense of how the world is. Democracy misleads people.
Which is why the disfavored rejects were sent to the shores of America::To keep them on the wrong path.

Jesus Christ is a religious figure of evil. These seperatist churches formed so they could still capture the rest of the white people, keeping them worshipping the wrong god.
And now they do it to people of color, Latinos and Asians, after centuries of preying upon them.

Simpson's foreshadowing::Helloween IV special, Flanders is Satan. "Last one you ever suspect."
"You'll see lots of nuns where you're going:::hell!!!" St. Wigham, Helloween VI, missionary work, destroying cultures.
Over and over, the Simpsons was a source of education and enlightenment, a target of ridicule by the system which wishes to conceal its secrets.

Since Buddism doesn't recongnize a god, the calls are never heard, and Chinese representation is instead selected by the thrones.
Budda was the Asian's Jesus Christ::: bad for the people. "They came up at the same time for a reason."

Jews maim the body formed in the image of "god", and inflicted circumsision upon all other white people, as well as the evil that is Jesus Christ.
I think about how Jews (were used to) created homosexuality among Slavics, retribution for the Holocaust.
Then I think of the Catholic Church and its troubles.
What connection is here between Jews and the Catholic church???
If it is their sinister motives that’s behind the evil that is Jesus Christ are they being used at all?
Perhaps it is them who are pulling strings.
Their centuries of slavery in Egypt proves their disfavor.
The Jew leaders decided to prey on the up-and-coming Europeans to try to fix their problems with the ruling elite, a recurring aspect of their methodology.

I believe Islam is the one true religion, and those misled christians who attack "god"'s most favored people will pay dearly one day.

I believe the coining of the term “Uncle Sam” was a clue alluding to just this::Sam Walton and WalMart is one of few saviors of the peasant class.

Amercia is a country of castoffs, rejects. Italy sent its criminals. Malcontents.
Between the thrones, the klans and kindred, they “decided” who they didn’t want and acted, creating discontent and/or starvation.
The u.s. is full of disfavored rejects. It is the reason for the myriad of problems not found in European countries. As far as the Rockafellers and other industrialists of the 19th century go, I suspect these aren’t their real names. I suspect they were chosen to go and head this new empire.

Royalty is the right way to organize a society. Dictatorships and monarchies are a reflection of the antient’s hierarchical organization.

Simpson’s foreshadowing::Helloween IV special, Flanders is Satan. “Last one you ever suspect.”
“You’ll see lots of nuns where you’re going:::hell!!!” St. Wigham, Helloween VI, missionary work, destroying cultures.
Over and over, the Simpsons was a source of education and enlightenment, a target of ridicule by the system which wishes to conceal its secrets.

Since Buddism doesn’t recongnize a god, the calls are never heard, and Chinese representation is instead selected by the thrones.
Budda was the Asian’s Jesus Christ::: bad for the people. “They came up at the same time for a reason.”

Jews maim the body formed in the image of “god”, and inflicted circumsision upon all other white people, as well as the evil that is Jesus Christ.

I believe Islam is the one true religion, and those misled christians who attack “god”’s most favored people will pay dearly one day.

Thank you Mark Marco,

I don't know what the solution is... But there is a problem. Never mind the growing gap between the wealthy and the middle classes or the wealthy and the poor.

My personal belief is that everyone should be able to afford healthcare, food and shelter. If these three basic needs are met then everything else is luxuries.

People have been shown by the media that they need televisions, cars, huge mansions with hot tubs and swimming pools to be "happy". As a result their is a tendency to ce a consumer when you can't afford it.

If I could make changes I would have universal healthcare, low cost housing and a means-tested food program. Yes, there would be a cost, but I have lived under a nationalised health care system and approximately the same percentage of my wages went in taxes to provide social security, health care and other government services as I pay in the US to provide health care for myself and taxes... The big difference is that there my money helped pay for universal health care, here it helps pay for my healthcare and my family's...

Now if America provided those three things, it would be a worl leader. There are details that would have to be worked out, but even then it is doable. For example, a food progrma could require that people are given basic nutrition and cooking classes, and some basic nutritious foods. It may not be exciting but it will keep you alive. Teach people that for less than the cost of two fast food meals they could make a good meal for four (or more), and perhaps they will be able to care for themselves more.

Z- Good post! There is a serious dilemna in economic education. The reality is that looking to corporations to act from a "moral" position is to legislate the morality of what we want...an option...but a job killer... Companies have ONE priority and that is to make money for stockholders, parents have one priority and that is too give our kids financial literacy and not blame others for not having the tools. I agree with you on everything but the solution, and that is where the discussion should begin.

The "Liberal agenda" is not a single agenda. The working practices supported by Walmart are not usually approved of by the people that they apply to. If you were earning minimum wage, wouldn't you want affordable health care?

But, equally, Walmart is cheap. Their goods are "affordable". The majority of Americans are trying to make ends meet and that means buyng as cheaply as possible. Not everyone can afford to boycott companies. Thus Walmart makes a profit.

I don't see this as a lack of support for Liberal "weenies" or Liberal policies, but simply a symptom of the reality of living in this Republican controlled company where being a corporate slave means that you can't afford little luxuries (like three meals a day)... I know my stepdaughter has $20 per month after they have paid all their bills, including most of their food bills. That $20 has to provide clothing and any emergencies mean problems... Healthcare is currently provided by me, but even then, she can't easily afford the $10 copay for a doctors office visit, and the $10 prescription charge...

Tell me why people should live like that... or worse.

Doesn't the fact that Wal-Mart is so successful fly in the face of the liberal weenie's claim that they represent main stream America? If they are so right and main stream America supports their agenda, why is Wal-Mart so successful? Hahahahah!!

Sorry Mark Marco, the word Gullible isn't in the dictionary.

Your post wasn't satire... Satire is funny. Your post was just intolerant drivel. I assumed that it was supposed to be a dig at "French loving liberals" but it just came across as a bunch of claptrap.

Zwack- Thank you for defending the French, steering me right about the parking spaces and looking up the word gullible in the dictionary.
P.S. I just found out that Peugot is French for BBQ! My tolerance is growing.....

Mark Marco you shouldn't be driving. Given that I've seen F550s and H2s parked within the bays at Walmart, if you can't park a Volvo in the same space you should not be on the road.

I don't understand your anti-french sentiments. Given that you can't even name a single french supermarket chain, I assume that you have never been to France and are instead showing the world what a wonderful, tolerant person you are. (Leclerc, Carrefour and Magasins U should give you a start...)

If you want to watch Nascar, go for it. If you don't like Nascar don't watch it. I don't think that Americans are forced to watch (or not) sports yet.

Making light of the French riots is not funny. For the people who have lost anything as a result, it is very serious. I was shocked by the fact that the unrest had to last for over a week before the American media mentioned it.
