I absolutely agree with what O’Reilly had to say and honestly believe most Americans feel the same. It’s fine for the radical left to live on the west coast, sipping wine coolers and think that they’re above it all but the bottom line is that the Islamist radicals don’t care that the left is anti military. In fact take a look at what Zawahiri said today about the west glorifying homosexuality. If the left or it’s radical followers think for one minute that al-Qaida wouldn’t love to detonate a couple of dirty bombs in downtown San Fran, then they’re absolute fools. What O’Reilly is saying is that as long as the left and San Fran waves the white flag and calls for the impeachment of the president, banning military recruitment in schools, there will always be a lack of understanding that we’re at war and that our survival is based on us winning. If we lose the war on terror, San Fran and it’s citizens will be beheaded first while screaming over desigener shoes and a mineral water and apparently this city needs a terrorist attack to wake people up. San Fran can either stand with the rest of the country in trying to win this war or ask for the right to leave the Union….maybe France will let you surrender with them.

Purely disgusting statement by O’Reilly, as usual. If he loved America so much, he wouldn’t want any city to get blown up. And just in case there are some misguided right-wingers out there, let me tell you the truth, because I worked on getting that proposition passed, which it did overwhelmingly.
First, Prop I is a statement to the Board of Supervisors encouraging them to find college scholarships for people targeted by the millitary, such as youth and people of color, so that they can go to college without having to put their lives in danger.
Second, soemthing that a lot of people don’t know is that under No Child Left Behind, as soon as someone enters high school, all their information, everything on any sort of record, is automatically turned over to the millitary recruiters with no warning to the child or their parents.
Third, The Chronicle is *not* failing because of its politics, rather, it is failing because its reporting is shoddy and there is a citywide boycott because of how the Hearst Corporation (which has Republican support) is treating its workers unfairly, and alos because people are turning to the more progressive free papers like the Bay Guardian.
Finally, I was there when we decided not to bring in the USS Iowa because our city does not want symbols of war in a city named after a man of peace. I also know Supervisor Peskin personally and I spend a lot of time in City Hall. Our electeds are very intelligent officials who are very open and responsive to the people.

This person and many of his ilk feel that because they have been shoved under the door for sooo long that now they have a right{like a victim would} to take their anger out on everyone around them..

Too bad people like the O,reily’s and the Ann Colter’s don,t read books like A Sorrow of Empire{by chalmers johnson} and Michael Paretti{Democracy for the Few}..They might come to an understanding as to why the pentagon-whitehouse and those Twin towers were chosen to be the targets by those we have opressed.
