RightMarch.com, a conservative online advocacy group, has launched a campaign trying to get a right-wing musical duo, The Right Brothers, onto MTV.
Well grab your iPods and crank up your speakers, because ThinkProgress has a sneak preview of the Brothers’ new single, “Bush Was Right.” If any song was ever a virtual lock to top the TRL charts, it’s got to be this rockin’ tribute to all things Bush.
Some sample lyrics and an audio excerpt below (and no, this is not a parody):
Don’t you know that all this means…
Free elections in Iraq, Saddam Hussein locked up
Osama’s staying underground, Al Qaida now is finding out
America won’t turn and run once the fighting has begun
Bush was right! Bush was right!
[UPDATE: MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann put together a music video for the song. Crooks & Liars has the video.]
RightMarch.com has big plans for The Right Brothers. Here’s a bit more from a recent email to their supporters (again, this is not a parody, we promise):
This is what the youth in America need. They’re already bombarded with songs on the radio and videos on MTV that trash our President, conservative beliefs, and traditional American values. From “Mosh” by Eminem, to “Idiot Son of an A**hole” by NOFX… all of these songs serve to fill young people’s minds with LIES. […]
WILL YOU HELP US? We’re putting together a “kickin’” music video right now, and we’re preparing a HUGE grassroots campaign to get hundreds of thousands of people to request “Bush Was Right!” on MTV’s “Total Request Live” show… leading to our demands for it to be played in regular rotation!
If they DON’T - then we’ll hit the media in a BIG way, showing how MTV plays left-wing videos while CENSORING conservative videos!
Full text of the email (with song lyrics) here.
It sounded better with a German accent.
November 16th, 2005 at 1:18 pmSomehow I think Clint Black has a hand in this. Scumbag. I used to love Clint. What a freakin’ shame.
November 16th, 2005 at 1:18 pmIs this on the BS record label?
November 16th, 2005 at 1:18 pmI love the out of nowhere “Ted Kennedy, wrong! Cindy Sheehan, wrong!”.
I can actually see this finding an audience.
November 16th, 2005 at 1:20 pmWOW…this cannot be for real, I am never much for what is played on MTV but this bad even by there standards (hopefully AirAmerica keeps playing those GD & Phish bits)

November 16th, 2005 at 1:23 pmWow, sounds a lot like “We Didn’t Start The Fire” by Billy Joel. Like a modern sub-standard punk remake version of it. The way they sing “Freedom in Afghanistan, say goodbye Taliban, Free elections in Iraq, Saddam Hussein locked up” sound a lot like “Pope Paul, Malcolm X, British politician sex, JFK, blown away, what else do I have to say”.
Anyone else wanna back me up on this?
November 16th, 2005 at 1:24 pmIs this some bizzaro world sequel to Billy Joel’s “We didn’t start the fire”? - I’d say sue ‘em Billy but this thing has got to get wide play, it’ll destroy the gop’s chances with an entire generation.
November 16th, 2005 at 1:26 pm“Who’s the Most Unstable rightwing blowhard?†Here’s where we’re at. Seems we missed an important member to this list.

November 16th, 2005 at 1:30 pmFortunately those that watch that shit on MTV couldn’t find a polling place anywhere that didn’t have funny cigarette smoke pouring out the door. This is no surprise. Tbe Bushco has always appealed to those with IQ’s less than their shoe size. Why should we expect more?
November 16th, 2005 at 1:30 pmthese guys should team up with the Nazi Jailbait Twins for a tour… it’d be called the We REALLY Suck Tour…
November 16th, 2005 at 1:31 pmDo MTV viewers even know who Cindy Sheehan is? Or who Zell Miller is? Man, even is music form, Republicans can’t back up their arguements. Just saying they are “wrong” and Bush is “right” does’t help anything.
There isn’t that much freedom in Afghanistan, the Taliban is still alive and well, Free elections in Iraq have happened before except these latest ones were reportedly rigged, Saddam Hussein is lockeded up but it took forever for him to be put on tiral or have charges put against him, and his followers are still fighting for him, and Osama has probably been dead forever, but even if he IS underground - America never brought him back dead or alive as promised, and HIS followers are strong too.
Sooooo… anything else you have for us Right Brothers?
November 16th, 2005 at 1:32 pmYoung Pioneer songs were usually sung at various Young Pioneer meetings, in Young Pioneer camps and at schools. One of the earliest and the most popular song was the Young Pioneer March. It was written in 1922 by Aleksandr Zharov (music by Sergei Dyoshkin) and was sometimes called The Anthem of Young Pioneers. There were a great many of other songs, here are some very popular ones:
Song About The First Young Pioneer Detachment (music by A.Dolukhanian, lyrics by S.Runge)
Our Land (Dmitry Kabalevsky, A.Prishelets)
Gaidar Is Marching First (A.Pakhmutova, N.Dobronravov)
The Eaglet (V.Bely, Ya. Shvedov)
The Little Joyful Drummer (L.Shvarts, Bulat Okudzhava)
March Of Young Pioneer Groups (N.Gubar’kov, G. Khodosov)
May There Always Be Sunshine (A.Ostrovsky, L.Oshanin)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pioneer_Movement
Here are a few about the beloved leader.
“Long live Stalin, who leads us from one victory to another one…”
One more song spreading cult of Stalin
Stalin is my dear teacher and friend…”
This song was written for elections in 1938.
By Pyotr Kirichek
Heart is beating for Motherland and singing about Stalin…”
A good pre-WWII song about Stalin was written for elections in 1938
“The people sing a beautiful song about Stalin, wise and dear…”
Music by A. Alexandrov
“…we sing and Stalin will hear our song in the Kremlin Palace…”
This and other songs were used to teach soviet children
Official name: “Song about Stalin”
“Stalin is our glory, Stalin is a flight of our youth…”
A good song about “Father of the nations”
Music M.Blanter, text by A.Surkov, 1938.

November 16th, 2005 at 1:33 pm#20 - I didn’t know the Twins sucked. I suspected as much. But without video it’s rather difficult to tell just how slutty they can be.
November 16th, 2005 at 1:33 pmlook what Sean Combs (I can’t keep up with his latest name..P, Diddy, whatever) did with his vote or die
November 16th, 2005 at 1:33 pmHas any American group or artist devoted an album defending the president prior this? I’m just thinking… if they gotta roll up their sleeves and make some elbow room to join the vastly powerful, vastly overwhelming—unstoppable I tell you!—left-wing conspiracy to try to stop the left from influencing kids through music, it really shows how out of touch these people are.
I love the rationale behind the right’s knee-jerk reactions. When the polls showed Bush had a slight over Kerry, it demonstrated the American people know who’s the better man for the job. Now that polls show the American people don’t trust Bush, don’t support the conflict or the Republican-led Congress, we liberals are somehow brainwashing the American people. Too bad we couldn’t get it to work before election night, hey?
November 16th, 2005 at 1:33 pmThe Right Brothers? That’ll never fly.
November 16th, 2005 at 1:36 pmthe funny thing is, this song goes into complete detail, down to very core, of every GOP argument:
“ME RIGHT; YOU WRONG”
November 16th, 2005 at 1:37 pmBilly Joel, Warm up your lawyers.
November 16th, 2005 at 1:38 pmUmmm, is it me, or is the style about 15 to 20 years old.
THIS is going to appeal to a rap crowd, a punk crowd, a “new age” crowd? I don’t think so.
so, who are they trying to impress? The kids? Or the parents who remember this semi-1980’s, early MTV, style music with a vague Huey Lewis and the News style to it?
Here’s a good one to remember…..Bush lied, and the troops are still dying because of those lies.
November 16th, 2005 at 1:39 pmIf ever a story required a response of
“SEIG HEIL!”
This is it.
Repeat Refrain:
“Bush was right, SEIG HEIL!”
November 16th, 2005 at 1:41 pm“Bush was right, HEIL mein Fuhrer!”
“Bush was right, HEIL BUSH!”
Opium in Afghanistan, say hi American Taliban
Rigged elections in Iraq, Saddam Hussein’s lawyers dead
Osama’s hiding underground, and we cannot smoke him out
America won’t turn and run once the spinning has begun
North Korea makes some nukes, hurricanes are running loose
Syria tries to deceive, and the sheeple still believe
Bush was right?
Bush was right?
Bush was right?
Democracy is on the way, but not in our USA
All over New Orleans, in water up to their knees
Don’t know what they’re gonna do, their worst nightmare is coming true
Where’s the National Guard, you ask? Not enough to do the task
Bush was right!
Not a mite!
See the light!
WMDs - wrong!
9/11 link - wrong!
Abu Graib - WRONG!
Zell Miller - NUTS!
Economy is on the rise (up from its complete demise)
Angry workers can’t believe their jobs have gone to the Chinese
Education’s staying down, ’cause ID has come to town
Poverty is going up, can you say “Tax Cutsâ€
Bush was right!
Far to the right!
Out of sight!
Kerry was right, Edwards was right,
November 16th, 2005 at 1:42 pmFitzie was right, Wilson was right
You were right, We were right, “The left†was right
and Bush can’t fight!
The right bites!
Thanks… g’night!
Seems like a good time to remind everyone about the way, way cooler Music for America.

November 16th, 2005 at 1:44 pmPoppies in Afghanistan, hello Mr. Taliban

Don’t you know that all this means…
Bush was wrong! Bush was wrong!
Man, that was easy - think it’ll play on MTV?
November 16th, 2005 at 1:44 pmThe Truth is, the Song Sucks!
I just saw a segment on Countdown with Keith Olbermann, about this song, which purports to spread the “TRUTH About Iraq”. It is from RightMarch.com, where their tag line is “Patriotism in Action”
November 16th, 2005 at 1:45 pm“Hey there, Georgie girl
November 16th, 2005 at 1:45 pmSwinging down the street so fancy free
Nobody you meet could ever see
The lonliness there inside of you”
#11 - It does sound like billy joel, when i first saw it i thought it was sarcasm, a joke, but it’s not. Now it makes me kinda queasy thinking about the people that will actually like this song.
November 16th, 2005 at 1:45 pmSo Bush was wrong about WMDs. Now 2000+ are dead, $200 billion is spent, 15,000+ wounded and maimed, with no end in sight. Pretty expensive mistake. Don’t we pay the president to get it right? Isn’t this mistake alone enough to condemn him? Other people and countries — including the oft-maligned French — were telling him he was wrong. He ignored them all. He was determined to go to war, no matter what the real threats were. He did not use war as a last resort, as he said he would. I think that ignoring the truth, along with sending men into battle with faulty intelligence ought to be a punishable offense.
I know that if I cost our country 2000 lives and $200 billion I would be in big trouble. The president should be in big trouble. Getting it wrong ought to matter and it ought to have consequences. Getting it wrong certainly has had consequences for the 2000+ dead and the 15,000+ wounded and maimed. It certainly has consequences for all our citizens and for our economy. President Bush seems to be trying to pass the buck. Where does the buck stop? Don’t we need to get people in there who don’t make the kinds of mistakes that George W. Bush makes? Hmmm?
They got it wrong on pre-war intelligence, wrong on Katrina, wrong on tax cuts for the rich, wrong on cuts in benefits for the poor, wrong on burgeoning deficits. How much else are they wrong about? How long are we going to take it? George W. Bush and the Republicans are just Wrong for America.
November 16th, 2005 at 1:45 pm#34 - Great rewrite!
November 16th, 2005 at 1:46 pmThat should be “no great threat” -sorry.
November 16th, 2005 at 1:47 pmI think MTV just censors out the crap, and not right or left. What is it with conservatives and their extreme paranoia about the “left wing” media?
November 16th, 2005 at 1:47 pmHahaha. Billy Joel is soooooo going to sue these guys.
November 16th, 2005 at 1:48 pmKinda like the Monkees or the Archies- an astroturf pop band?
Geez, this whole schtick went out way long ago.
November 16th, 2005 at 1:48 pmAmerica, F**K YEAH!
November 16th, 2005 at 1:49 pmI got two words for these losers: Green Day…
“American Idiot” sums up how the reality-based community feels. If Carson ever plays this dreck on TRL, he’ll be laughed outa Times Square…
I wonder if they’ll donate all their proceeds to the USO or VFW or some other veterans’ cause? Nahh…they’ll just pocket it and laugh all the way to the bank, like the rest of the ultra-right wingnut fascists…
November 16th, 2005 at 1:50 pmI like the sort of weird references that don’t really help…
“Democracy is on the way, hitting like a tidal wave”
Democracy is going to cause a huge amount of destruction and kill tons of people? This might be a more apt simile had we not recently witnessed a tidal wave.
“They fear the domino effect”
November 16th, 2005 at 1:50 pmSure you want to invoke the Vietnam era, guys? And that’s not even what that means — the domino effect was the risk of “one bad apple spoiling the bunch,” not of some neocon wet dream invasion of country after country.
The Witch, I like your version a lot better.
November 16th, 2005 at 1:51 pm#44 - This reminds me, I thought Team America was a documentary. It was soooo real.
November 16th, 2005 at 1:51 pmI liked Olbermann pointing out on Countdown last night that for the song to find a significant mainstream audience it would kinda need to NOT SUCK first
November 16th, 2005 at 1:51 pmIf you click on the ‘tour’ link on their site, you’ll find that they have two gigs (copied and pasted, scout’s honor):
11/29 Franklin, TN Williamson Ag Expo Operation Welcome Home featuring Lee Greenwood
01/28 Washington, DC Georgetown University Take Back Georgetown Day
November 16th, 2005 at 1:52 pmclose tag
November 16th, 2005 at 1:52 pmKeith Olbermann did his own “video” of this thing last night on Countdown. Too funny! The brothers say the song is going to be a hit on MTV, and if it’s not, it’s because the lefties are keeping them down. Riiiight.
November 16th, 2005 at 1:53 pmSo, “RightMarch” seems to me to be obviously a front group for some GOP or right-wing lobbying group. But what group? Can someone with more tech-savvy than myself figure that out? My guess with be the Young Republicans, but I have no evidence of that, just a hunch.
November 16th, 2005 at 1:53 pmAwesome! We have better songwriters here on TP, even if they are parodies of that crap-assed attempt of a song. I can’t wait to hear Jello Biafra ro Steve Earle’s take on that earache-in-the-making.
November 16th, 2005 at 1:56 pmPut your purple finger in the air
November 16th, 2005 at 1:58 pmn’ point it like you don’t care.
I envision them as a jack-booted Smothers Brothers in reverse (but with less talent). And how do you tell which one is the “stupid brother”? Looks like a tie to me.
November 16th, 2005 at 2:00 pmGreat, we can have a “Battle of the Bands”, just like in high school, except they’ll be using disinformation, chemical weapons and torture, and then blame us for not saying it was a stupid idea to start with.
Sympathy for the War
Don’t pull your hair wondering
who it was that bombed Baghdad
way back in 2003.
Sorry for not writing earlier
I was in Congo and in Darfur
praying with Bush43.
Can’t yet year the bombs coming?
And don’t wait too long, don’t be sad
Georgie’s doing it with me.
The war is on, and I always win
and afterwards I’ll see you all,
see you all in Hell.
Clinton saw it coming and tried his best
just used Whitewater and a ho
put him in his place.
Seems to be some confusion here
y’all want a nuclear war
what you bitch’n fo?
Don’t you know my face?
November 16th, 2005 at 2:02 pmCan’t you guess my name?
I personally find this song absolutely hilarious - it really is a parody and is just laughable. These wingnuts can’t even get talented artists to push their line of BS. I have 3 teenagers and I think they’ll all be ROFL when they hear this piece of garbage. I’m not too worried that MTV will pick this up …
How pathetic these people are!
November 16th, 2005 at 2:04 pmthat’s the first time i’ve ever heard “NOFX” and “TRL” used in the same breath.
November 16th, 2005 at 2:04 pmRight-Wingers Want Right-Wing Rockers on MTV?
From the Shit-You-Not files,
RightMarch.com a right-wing hate site, is pushing to get a song by the, I kid you know, “Right Brother” onto MTV and radio stations. I first want to say this shows how out of touch they are, MTV does not play music! Al…

Song: Spirit in the Sky Lyrics
When I die–
and they lay me to rest!
Gonna go to the place–
that’s the best!
When I lay me–
down to die!
Goin’ up–
to the spirit in the sky!
Goin’ up–
to the spirit in the sky!
That’s where I’m gonna go when I die
When I die–
and they lay me to rest
Gonna go to the place–
that’s the best!
Prepare yourself
you know it’s a must
Gotta have a friend in Us!
So you know that when you die
He’s gonna recommend you
To the spirit in the sky
Gonna recommend you
To the spirit in the sky
That’s where you’re gonna go when you die
When you die
and they lay you to rest
You’re gonna go
to the place that’s the best!
Never been a sinner
I never sinned
I got a friend in Jesus
So you know that when I die
He’s gonna set me up with
The spirit in the sky
Oh set me up
with the spirit in the sky
That’s where I’m gonna go when I die
When I die
and they lay me to rest!
I’m gonna go

Bush songs lyrics are even a ripoff…cant remember name of group tho’..=)
You guys read the rest of their lyrics on the site? There is some plain, downright offensive shit on there. Try “The Illegals” or this one:
You Can’t Racial Profile
Written by: Aaron Sain
Lead vocals: Aaron Sain
Well, I ain’t never seen a grandma
Strap dynamite around her waist
Or put explosives in her slip-ons
And try to blow a plane to outerspace
As a matter of fact every terrorist act
That’s taken place in the friendly sky
You must understand has been by an olived skinned man
Between 18 and 35
Chorus
You can’t racial profile
We’ve got laws against that insensitive attack
And meanwhile, they can pull every granny out of line
You can poke ‘em and prod ‘em if they’re yellow, black or white
But if they’re Middle Eastern well you’d better treat ‘em right
‘Cause being politically correct is more important than saving lives
Ermm, olive skinned man? This is a joke, right?
November 16th, 2005 at 2:09 pm#11–the pertinent lyric from that song is “Ayatollahs in Iran, Russians in Afghanistan”. One of the reasons we’re having so much trouble “democratizing” over there now–they keep shooting us with weapons we gave them in the 80’s.
November 16th, 2005 at 2:10 pmThey’d make a terriffic coaster….
November 16th, 2005 at 2:11 pmMan, what a piece of crap. Even for pop-punk this is just a big stinky pile of utter rat crap. Total schlock. Olby is right, it needs to not suck first. But the scary part is if they get the word out, the mindless drones of the right will all fall into line.
If they go on tour, they should be giving out “brownshirts” at the door.
November 16th, 2005 at 2:11 pm#53
There seems to be so many reasons and organizations behind William Greene, mastermind of RightMarch, to single them out.
Just check it out:

November 16th, 2005 at 2:21 pmfind out where they’re playing and bottle them off the stage.
November 16th, 2005 at 2:22 pmIs this a joke? I think Billy Joel is going to sue.
November 16th, 2005 at 2:22 pmCondi can play a classical version then the twins can have a rave then Scott McClellan can do a Solid Gold dance interpretation a hit on all social levels!
November 16th, 2005 at 2:23 pmIt’s true. There really is a such a fine line between stupid and clever.
November 16th, 2005 at 2:24 pmSounds a little like a Billy Joel rip off of “We Didn’t Start The Fire…
November 16th, 2005 at 2:24 pmWho are the Right Brothers that are singing this? Are they really going to put this on TV or Radio?
I like what #31 Witch made up.

November 16th, 2005 at 2:29 pmI guess we can all email MTV begging them not to play this peice of propogandist crap - or I hope they will play it and DIS it mad!
November 16th, 2005 at 2:30 pmAnd hopefully a bunch of counter-protesters will show at their Georgetown U gig. Run these lame-ass geeks out of town on a rail, if only for bad songwriting!
The Prefab Two, “Putting together a kickin’ music video”?
November 16th, 2005 at 2:30 pmThat is frigging hilarious. If it wasn’t for that STAR SPANGLED chorus Billy Joel could’ve sued them for ripping off “We Didn’t Star the Fire” (ironically the song Dwight the Fascist ripped off on NBC’s “The Office”).
November 16th, 2005 at 2:31 pmOMFG!
My ears are bleeding, but I just had to listen to it.
Jeebus, that sh!t sucks big time. That sounds just like a n ’80s poser heavy metal band. You know the guys that didn’t know how to play guitar or sing, but looked good in makeup.
Baaaaaarrrrrrrrrfffffffff.
MTV WILL NOT PLAY THIS!
Not to mention it costs money to get your video played on MTV. They don’t just play something because people want them to. Get a grip you retards.
November 16th, 2005 at 2:31 pm#20–45 comments later, and I’m STILL laughing at “Nazi Jailbait Twins”….that’s going on my top ten list of funniest things ever seen on a blog…
As for MTV…y’all can calm down. not a CHANCE this gets any play. The young generation is wickedly liberal, and there’s NO audience for this garbage. And I love how they already have excuses for their inevitable MTV rejection–”liberal bias”. Ha ha!!! It’s not bias–it’s that you music sounds like a shit.
November 16th, 2005 at 2:33 pmSounds a lot like “Christian Rock”–music that sucks but that a gullible captive audience has to listen to. Lotsa luck on MTV, guys. Maybe if you could get Eminem to sing it…
November 16th, 2005 at 2:33 pmLike a steely blade in the silken sheath we don’t see what they’re made of
They shout about love but when push comes to shove, they live for the things their afraid of
And the knowledge that they fear, is a weapon to be used against them
Neil Peart
November 16th, 2005 at 2:34 pm[…] And you’ve gotta love these kick ass chuckleheads (listen to that MP3- you will cry). I laughed so hard I cried. Trust me on this, you will too. […]
November 16th, 2005 at 2:35 pmLeave it to sleazy used car salesman republicans to come up with this propaganda shit. The difference between the songs with a right twist and this crap is that “Mosh†by Eminem, “Idiot Son of an A**hole†by NOFX, “American Idiot” by Greenday, etc., is that those were written by artists expressing their personal views and weren’t blatantly pushed on liberal-based websites. This is such an obvious conservative plant, and such a weak attempt at brainwashing youth, I almost feel sorry for them.
November 16th, 2005 at 2:36 pmWow. Sounds like a weddding band.
November 16th, 2005 at 2:39 pmSorry Right Brothers but creativity and calculation don’t work well together.
November 16th, 2005 at 2:40 pmHEY!! Can anyone get some tour date information? I’d pay money to attend this concert, just for the absurdity (and surefire heckling) I’d be witnessing.
Somebody find out if they plan to tour (outside of OK and Utah, that is)
November 16th, 2005 at 2:40 pmJust another piece of cheap, and cheesie right-wing propaganda. Full of lies, deceit and adolescent theatrics. It smells of cheap booze and cocaine, just like Bush’s breath!

November 16th, 2005 at 2:40 pmFrom Arron Sain’s website, producer, writer and drummer for this crap.
“Monday, February 21
THE RIGHT BROTHERS second album “II” is now out and available at http://www.therightbrothers.com. They debuted it last week at CPAC in Washington D.C. and are in the process of booking shows for ‘05.
In less than six months THE RIGHT BROTHERS first album, “For My Country”, has sold to all 50 states and two foreign countries!
Aaron has finished his time with Curb Music and wishes to thank everyone there for their support over the past three years. Aaron is the owner of 367 Music and is currently talking with some publishers about a co-venture.”
So, we haven’t updated our website for oh 9 months.
Their second album is called “II”. How original. It debuted at CPAC ‘05.
CPAC ‘06 will have some of our favorite performers. Here’s the list:
Vice President Dick Cheney
Speaker Dennis Hastert
Senator George Allen
Senator Mitch McConnell
Ann Coulter
Ken Mehlman
Wayne LaPierre
Bob Novak
Grover Norquist
and many more!
It goes on to say that in less than six months, they have sold “II” in 50 states and 2 forieng countries. So, from this, I can guess that they have sold 52 copies.
Then it goes on to say that Aaron owns 367 Music, of which I can’t find a website.
Want some more fun? Go check out the lyrics for the songs on the album “II”
http://www.therightbrothers.com/lyrics/two.php
You will notice that their web master used “two” and not “II”. Funny sh!t.
November 16th, 2005 at 2:42 pmThis is a new frontier.
The line “olive-skinned man” reminded me of a band called “Prussian Blue” from California:
http://www.prussianblue.net/
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prussian_Blue_(American_duo)
These 12yo girls are a white supremacy pop music duo.
The Reichwingers seem to have a never ending supply of “artists” who are more than happy to spew hate, and advocate racism as a way of life.
November 16th, 2005 at 2:44 pmThis tune is bound to get a few laughs.
November 16th, 2005 at 2:45 pmI’m just wondering, is it meant to be funny?
CEA,
You’re absolutely right — it fits right in with the “Christian Rock” genre. This is going to get mega-play on Christian Rock stations (a major market in some areas).
November 16th, 2005 at 2:46 pmAny chance Arron could rename the band N’Sain?
November 16th, 2005 at 2:46 pmThis screams desperation so loudly we should all be deaf by now. It will be forgotten by tomorrow. Kind of like the people who came out with “documentaries” that “debunked” Michael Moore’s “Fahrenheit 9/11.” People talked about them on the release date, but they were forgotten a day later, while “Fahrenheit 9/11″ is still being talked about. Lies, BS and gossip are only interested as long as it takes to tell them. They have the shelf-life of a carton of milk. The truth lasts forever.
November 16th, 2005 at 2:48 pmKudos in advance to whoever sets that dreck to footage of Iraqi casualties, Hurricane Katrina victims, etc…
November 16th, 2005 at 2:50 pmRIP OFF. Billy Joel should sue.

November 16th, 2005 at 2:52 pmWithout saying anything other than “listen to this”, I played this for a 19 year old here in my office and his first words were “Eww, that sounds kinda gay… what the hell?”.
Maybe lefty should ban gay songs too.

November 16th, 2005 at 3:03 pmmaybe we can get them chipmunk critters to sing it!
November 16th, 2005 at 3:05 pmYee Haw!
This makes me angry. Now I can’t listen to REM’s “End of the World (As We Know It)” without thinking of this song. Or that Billy Joel tune.
Favorite part: “French … WROOOONGGG! … Zell Miller…. Riiiiigggghhhht!!!”
Maybe we can make our own sequel with a chorus that says, “BUSH WAS RIGHT! But he said, throughout his re-election campaign, he would have invaded Iraq even if he was wrrrrrrooooonnnnnggggg!”
November 16th, 2005 at 3:05 pmWow, well I’m convinced. This song and video TOTALLY changed my mind. After seeing this video, I think I’ll become a Republican. What a joke! This is their intellectual capacity? I say MTV should play it, hopefully the kids will realize how stupid it is. Unless they read “O’Reilly For Kids”.

So, “.” shows his true colors. STFU.
November 16th, 2005 at 3:07 pmEver seen a Christian rock concert? They all have an arm in the air and sway back and forth with their eyes closed. The same audience is just one small upward wrist movement away from the fascist Nazi salute.
November 16th, 2005 at 3:08 pmOrville & Willpower - The “Right Brothers”
Joe E. Brown once said that he wanted to lose some weight, and so he gave up heavy eating and heavy drinking, and he found at the end of two weeks he had lost 14 days.
That is the way it goes with many weight loss attempts. Weight is lost, and then it is gained back. That means that the only thing really lost is time.
What I really would like to talk about today is “will power.†Have you ever used the phrase, “I just don’t have enough willpower?†Certainly you have heard others use the phrase. The saddest thing about that phrase is that it is completely untrue, and still people believe it. You have willpower, plenty of if. How many times have you gone to work, faced a boss or coworker that was obnoxious, stupid, and rude and not punched him the nose, or even acted in an uncivilized manner? How many times have you been cutoff on the freeway by some unthinking moron, and not slammed your car into his, as he was begging you to do? How about the last time that clerk at the counter made some rude comment to you, and you did not reach over the counter and rosy up her cheeks for her as she so richly deserved? How did you remain civilized in the face of uncivilized behavior? You used your will power! And it took more will power to control your actions in those circumstances than the vast majority of a weight loss journey will take. Does that sound crazy? Let me explain.
Think of willpower as jet fuel. Jet fuel supplies the power for flying aircraft all around the world. No one would suggest that jet fuel is an ineffective source of power for air travel. However, if you try to use it directly, you will fail to achieve safe air travel. If you take the amount of jet fuel, necessary to fly from here to a destination 1,000 miles from here, and you put it into a large tank, crawl up on top of the tank, and then light a match…. BOOM! You just blew yourself up. It was not because you did not have enough power in your tank, but it was because you used it incorrectly, that you failed.

I seem to remember a recent campaign to get MTV to show DEVO’s old “Whip It” video once again. That didn’t work, so I suspect this won’t either.
I’d much rather see “Whip It” than this shit. It makes much more sense.

What does a right wing site have to do with who is talking about 9/11.
Truth: I literally just had a co-worker come up to me on Monday, yes this Monday and tell me he just watched 9/11. His quote: “How the fvck did Bush get relected.
So, people are still talking about it. Your firends and family may not be, because you are republican zombies, bu the rest of the world is.

I don’t mean you and your loser liberal circle of friends. The movie is over. Nobody with a life continues to talk about the previous summer’s movies as if they were current events, but you and the left have no life. Also, did you catch where Michael owned shares of Halliburton? What a hypocrite! That alone would piss me off from being a liberal forever. Also, how many minorities does he employee? Michael is in business for Michael. The sooner you guys understand that the better.
November 16th, 2005 at 3:26 pm[…] Update: found it (@ TP). Apparently the “silent majority” is a majority if 35% is now defined as more than half. Which it is… in Kansas. […]
November 16th, 2005 at 3:26 pmBoy, even a rightwing jerk like me has to bite down real hard on this one. I can tell you right now that the guys down at the bar won’t be playing the “Bush was Right” tune any time soon. Even those hillbillies know bullshit when they hear it. I’m thinking the Right Brothers are a just a couple of turds trying to cash in on the rightwing of the Republican party.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but in checking out their site, only two localized appearances are lined up and no one seems to be knocking down their door to book them on a show. If it wasn’t for the RightMarch site, they would still be writing songs for REAL singers. I mean, maybe Frank and Aaron should stick to song writing as their obscure sorry-assed recordings are not even getting a review on the country western stations.

November 16th, 2005 at 3:34 pmJoe Sixpack — it’s obvious that they aren’t trying to get a hit on country radio and/or jukeboxes. This is rock and roll! And the kids and adults into the rock aren’t about to rock out to it.

November 16th, 2005 at 3:38 pmThing is, if these idiots were simply giving the song away, they could claim it as a parody. But since they’re charging $25 a pop for it, they’re setting themselves up to be sued by Sony and/or Billy Joel.
Way to go, morons!
November 16th, 2005 at 3:43 pmIt’s much more than a movie.

These guys are lame.
November 16th, 2005 at 3:46 pmThat is frigging hilarious. If it wasn’t for that STAR SPANGLED chorus Billy Joel could’ve sued them for ripping off “We Didn’t Star the Fire†(ironically the song Dwight the Fascist ripped off on NBC’s “The Officeâ€).
Oh, he can still sue. If half of the people here automatically realized the morons were ripping off Billy Joel AND SELLING IT, Billy Joel has a case. And since they aren’t giving it away, but actually trying to sell it, he has even more of a case.
November 16th, 2005 at 3:48 pmJust remember, repubs are so deperate now, they have to put propaganda out for the kids. They are scraping the bottom here folks. It’s like you can almost smell the rotting flesh. And repubs will buy anything. Judging from our budget deficit, they aren’t very frugal.
November 16th, 2005 at 3:49 pmHey #113, I checked out the state.com site. The liberals would think that it sure does suck, huh? All that slanted, rightwing crap that slate puts out even chokes up into my throat for God’s sake, and I’m a conservative! But with the tag “.”? I mean, “.” reminds me of that lame-assed Bill O’Reilly’s constant “pinhead” characterizations.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but as long as we are attacking Michael Moore, whats your take on him traveling to Iraq 7 times to entertain the troops, who always give him a BIG welcome? I mean, don’t it just frost your ass the way the military troops in Iraq like him? Makes you wonder why O’Reilly and Hannity can’t get off their $$$tours long enough to go there themselves, especially since they like war so much.
I think you need a new handle before everyone starts calling you “pinhead”, pinhead.

November 16th, 2005 at 4:04 pmHey Right Brothers:
Good luck trying to get that dreck played on MTV, even though, MTV rarely plays music videos nowadays and shows mostly reality shows with has been celebrites and pretty people who have nothing in common with blue collar or middle class folks like us.
Kevin NYC,
Unfortunately, Bobby Hatfield died last year of a cocaine related heart failure, so I do agree that Bill Medley and Billy Joel should get their lawyers as well
as a few Mafia guys to settle this matter once and for all.
I heard that piece of dreck on Countdown, too. Keith tells it like it is. I hope he destroys Al’Reilly in the ratings.

and MTV doesn’t “censor” anything; they play the music which will get them the most advertising revenue. surely the self-described “greedy capitalist” right brothers can appreciate that. and while it’s most usually crap, it’s not crap that will make 12-year olds think they’re watching the news.
November 16th, 2005 at 4:13 pmMan, that is some skeevily horrible lite rock music they got there.
My favorite is how they couldn’t come up with a second verse!!! So they just repeat the first verse!! Har har.
November 16th, 2005 at 4:23 pmWhen those doomed black men in the early 50’s invented rock’n'roll, I wonder if they ever thought their creation would be abused this way. Whoever the “right” brother are, my hope is that they contract painful, inoperable cancers. I mean that with all due respect.

November 16th, 2005 at 4:42 pmThere’s a bigger issue here than simply the Right Brothers. Is it just me, or do most artists/songs that support the president really really suck? And not just “not fun to listen to” but “irrevelant”? Think about it. On the Vote For Change, there were young, popular, rising bands like Bright Eyes and Death Cab for Cutie. There were legendary rock acts like Bruce Springsteen, John Mellecamp, and REM. On the right, who’s comperable? Charlie Daniels? Does he have another song beside “The Devil Went Down to Georgia”? Toby Keith? Do people my age (20s) even listen to Toby Keith? Anyone else important or relevant like the President’s policies?
November 16th, 2005 at 4:47 pmWow, it sucks and blows at the same time!

For My Country
Written by: Aaron Sain/Frank Highland
Lead vocals: Frank Highland
I’ve never served in the military
Or put my life on the line
I’ve never made a sacrifice for my country
But I know of those who have
Lost it all in the fight
And of the ones they left behind for my country
Chorus
Makes me wanna sing, sing out loud
With a voice that’s free and proud
For those who fell on blood-stained ground for my country
Wanna let the world know where I stand
That I believe in the heart of this great land
And that I pray God’s guiding hand for my country
Turned on the news first thing this morning
And saw where two more soldiers died
So I could sleep in peace last night in my country
Repeat Chorus 2X

Yeah, Osama’s underground but I’d rather he be dead or in custody, like Bush promised. And yeah, the Taliban is still out of power but I’d rather they be dead or in custody, too, instead of circling Afghanistan’s borders like a pack of hungry jackals. And yeah, al Qaeda’s now finding out that we won’t cut and run because we were too stupid to send enough troops in the beginning to do the job properly so now we have to fight them in Iraq so we don’t have to fight them anywhere else (hint- they’re everywhere else).
Oops, I guess Bush wasn’t right about everything.

November 16th, 2005 at 5:24 pmThe Right is finally fighting back and getting the message out: Bush was right! This along with the new commercial that shows how flip-floppers like Bill Clinton, Howard Dean, and Ted Kennedy supported the idea that Iraq had WMD long before Bush said they did. If Bush lied, than Clinton lied, Howard Dean lied, and Ted Kennedy lied!
If I could vote for Bush for a third time I would because George W Bush is saving America. He’s saving America from itself. From the cowards and the traitors. The flip-floppers and the appeasers. The liberals who would throw up a white flag and hand America over to the terrorists on a silver platter. George W Bush is saving our freedom.
Bush is like a freedom evangelist. He’s bringing freedom to the world weather they like it or not!
Saddam’s locked up, Iraq is liberated, Afghanistan has freedom. Mission Accomplished Mr President.
