RightMarch.com, a conservative online advocacy group, has launched a campaign trying to get a right-wing musical duo, The Right Brothers, onto MTV.
Well grab your iPods and crank up your speakers, because ThinkProgress has a sneak preview of the Brothers’ new single, “Bush Was Right.” If any song was ever a virtual lock to top the TRL charts, it’s got to be this rockin’ tribute to all things Bush.

RightMarch.com has big plans for The Right Brothers. Here’s a bit more from a recent email to their supporters (again, this is not a parody, we promise):
This is what the youth in America need. They’re already bombarded with songs on the radio and videos on MTV that trash our President, conservative beliefs, and traditional American values. From “Mosh” by Eminem, to “Idiot Son of an A**hole” by NOFX… all of these songs serve to fill young people’s minds with LIES. [...]
WILL YOU HELP US? We’re putting together a “kickin’” music video right now, and we’re preparing a HUGE grassroots campaign to get hundreds of thousands of people to request “Bush Was Right!” on MTV’s “Total Request Live” show… leading to our demands for it to be played in regular rotation!

Don’t we pay the president to get it right? Isn’t this mistake alone enough to condemn him? Other people and countries — including the oft-maligned French — were telling him he was wrong. He ignored them all. He was determined to go to war, no matter what the real threats were. He did not use war as a last resort, as he said he would. I think that ignoring the truth, along with sending men into battle with faulty intelligence ought to be a punishable offense.
I know that if I cost our country 2000 lives and $200 billion I would be in big trouble. The president should be in big trouble. Getting it wrong ought to matter and it ought to have consequences. Getting it wrong certainly has had consequences for the 2000+ dead and the 15,000+ wounded and maimed. It certainly has consequences for all our citizens and for our economy. President Bush seems to be trying to pass the buck. Where does the buck stop? Don’t we need to get people in there who don’t make the kinds of mistakes that George W. Bush makes? Hmmm?
They got it wrong on pre-war intelligence, wrong on Katrina, wrong on tax cuts for the rich, wrong on cuts in benefits for the poor, wrong on burgeoning deficits. How much else are they wrong about? How long are we going to take it? George W. Bush and the Republicans are just Wrong for America.

How did you remain civilized in the face of uncivilized behavior? You used your will power! And it took more will power to control your actions in those circumstances than the vast majority of a weight loss journey will take. Does that sound crazy? Let me explain.
Think of willpower as jet fuel. Jet fuel supplies the power for flying aircraft all around the world. No one would suggest that jet fuel is an ineffective source of power for air travel. However, if you try to use it directly, you will fail to achieve safe air travel. If you take the amount of jet fuel, necessary to fly from here to a destination 1,000 miles from here, and you put it into a large tank, crawl up on top of the tank, and then light a match…. BOOM! You just blew yourself up. It was not because you did not have enough power in your tank, but it was because you used it incorrectly, that you failed.

But unlike you “scholarship” athletes, who get top of the line gear, money for clothes to make the school look good, (and don’t tell me you don’t, because I used to work in a NCAA Division I athletic office, so I know) and get preference in class scheduling, I, a soldier of this country, doing a way more honorable thing than just playing a sport (I love sports, by the way), got gear that’s been used since the first Gulf War, got a clothing allowance that didn’t COME CLOSE to covering the cost of uniforms, and didn’t get a preference of any kind for any thing. AND I earned MY free schooling in a much more honorable way than you are earning yours right now. Who do you think is more impressive?
As for the comment that I can count…yes, BECAUSE I AM EDUCATED. Unlike some college football players who “graduate” without knowing how to read, or with some of the lowest SAT and ACT scores and lowest GPAs allowed by the school. And don’t tell me I’m off the mark, Derek, because you know I’m not.

I do not admit however to being one of them. To get into college, I got a 24 on my ACT, it’s not great I know, but it’s better than an 18. To stay in college, I have a 3.0 GPA, once again, not great, but im not completely retarded…Now your gonna say, “well your just a dumb athlete, the teachers probably give you the grade…” wrong again, I go to a small NERD school. I don’t think our teachers believe in athletics or anything that doesn’t have to do with a computer. Than you make the comment about working in NCCA office…First of all, man (or woman, seing how pissed you got the first time), you have done it all haven’t you..I love people like you who have stories for everything and think your soo much better. Even the case, you working in an NCCA office does not pertain to me..Second of all, I believe your comment about their students being babied with the nicest equipment and what not, but once again…because me, and my school, are not involved with the NCCA…So your comment about how hard you had it not having the nicest equipment, also pertains to me. I think our over all budget on the football programs was somewhere in the ball park of 90,000. Not rich. We play because we love the game and want to get an education. (whos leader is involved in recieving MILLIONS in an oil for food scandal) After he blantently ignored these resolutions, corrupt U.N. does NOTHING, then we’re the bad guys for policing them? Saddam HATES western culture. He would do anything to destroy it. His heart isn’t secretely full of butterflies and candy, hes a brutal, torturous dictator. Some people would rather ignore this and it would take a DIRECT ATTACK FROM SADDAM HIMSELF to wake these people up. To those of you whom do not believe in God…please don’t base your judgement about His existence on this wicked administration’s behavior. I can prove the existence of God mathematically. It is mathematically defined as absurd not to recognize His existence. Please don’t attack misguided and misdirected youth because of their attendance at Christian concerts. Most of them hate unrighteousness (like you do…you don’t like the war, right? Be honest with yourself.) and are as ignorant of the truth as you are (since you don’t believe). Ignorance does not mean stupidity. Ignorance means that one does not know better.
So keep your minds open and learn as much as you can. Don’t blindly accept statements but eagerly seek out the truth because the truth shall set you free.
May the Heavenly Father bless you all abundantly…yes ALL of you. Even those that do not agree with me or my view on these important life altering policies. May He bless those whom blatantly used plagarism to promote lies and propaganda.
