Is there anymore reason to believe that these guys actually care about serving the people? These guys have always been about power and influence. Cheney is unapologetic about torture, secrecy, corruption and outright partisanship.
I believe your headline should read “Two rats in a pod.”
I suppose Cheney will be effective for the event’s purpose, but do these people give a damn about appearances any more?
Cheney’s COS is facing a serious indictment, DeLay is obviously under indictment as are three current or former staffers and his situation is going to get worse over the Abramoff scandal.
Could it be it has reached the point where they know they are going down, and this is a quid pro quo so they can swap mailing lists when it’s time to raise money for all the Bush Administration criminals?
You can bet there will be plenty of Ronnie bashing at this bash!
Cheney propping up DeLay? Too funny.
The Dick will be lucky if he makes it till Dec. 5th. All of these public appearances have to be taking their toll on his ‘ol electric koolaid pumper.
Lil’ Bush the Bicycle Boy has been described, accurately so, as the “F-ck You President.” This would explain episodes like the John Bolton interim placement, Harriet Miers, and other in-your-face episodes. He truly doesn’t give a f-ck what we think of him, his actions, his people or his policies. And with this Cheney/DeLay love-fest, we’re forcefully reminded that Cheney presides over the “F-ck You Vice Presidency.” No surprise whatsoever.
That sounds like a poor move on Cheney’s part. Today Scanlon pleaded guilty in a deal with the prosecutor in the Abramoff scandal. Scanlon will likely reveal unsavory facts involving Delay – among other higher ups in the GOP – so the price of being real cozy with Delay these days may not be worth it.
Well of course he would go. Cheney doesn’t want Tommy boy, who loves praying on his knees in his office, to be going around telling any Dick stories.

November 21st, 2005 at 3:29 pmAny more “flips” and the whole
house of cards may collapse.
Abramoff and Co. may already be enough.
