Of copurse they think they are above the lasw, shit they started an illegal war against the advice of the rest of the world.

  2. Lesly says:

Freedman forgot torture. “The position of the executive branch is that it can be judge, jury, torturer, and executioner.” Why anyone would think that giving the state the power to be torturer in addition to being executioner is beyond me.

  3. afterthought says:

It is rather depressing that people weren’t
immediately concerned when the executive branch
grabbed for untimate power. This should have
started alarms in all good patriot’s heads.
    Lord Acton was no fool.

  4. afterthought says:

    umm,
    make that “ultimate” power. ;^|

  5. Acksyn_JAcksyn says:

The imbalance we see is a Direct result of the Neo-Cons philosophy of a Unitary Executive.
That is The Neo-Cons wish to put all the power into the hands of the President. –Aj

  6. For Truth says:

The Right does not believe in “balance of power”.

  7. afterthought says:

Would it be improper to introduce the
    word “fascist” about now?

  8. Average TV Viewer says:

In the meantime, yet another “#2 Guy” has been killed in Iraq. Ho hum, more meaningless propaganda.

  9. Marie says:

There is reason for all Americans to be very concerned by the absolute power assumed by the present administration. The neocons have placed an egocentrist, ignorant of the Constitution, in the chair of the president, allowing them to pursue their goals without question. Our forefathers are turning in their graves.
Another ultraconservative on the Supreme Court is simply the next step on the path toward fascism.

  10. Marie says:

Do a google search for Maurice Ogden’s poem, “The Hangman.” This thread reminded me of that poem; all of this is happening before our eyes, but we are keeping still.

  11. Mark Marco says:

The path toward fascism is paved with good inventions! I prefer the “We’re the judicial branch but we kinda like to MAKE laws too” invention started a few decades ago….now THAT was a great invention! Hurrah for fascism…..this Buds for you!

  12. Susan says:

Contact your Senators and Representatives. Let them know that if they do not start impeachment hearings immediately the will NOT have your vote. Republican or Democrat.

Do it immediately. America cannot wait.

    Impeach now!
