I belive we do need to stay in Iraq untill they get to the point where they can begin to fight this evil themselves.Do I belive we could have been better prepared yes however,I belive we have learned from this war on terror and are making good progress.

The Sunnis are becoming more positvely involved & I understand if insurgents threaten the upcoming election these Sunnis have made it clear these thugs will be dealt with by them!! That to me is a pretty positve development!
our military have in droves have seen more positive developments there too bad the Main Stream Media haven’t.Instead they indanger the lives uneccesarily of

Your article above is baseless nonsense.

Joe Lieberman very directly addressed the drawdown issue in his speech, and if you had actually read it you’d know that:

“Nationwide, American military leaders estimate that about one-third of the approximately 100,000 members of the Iraqi military are able to “lead the fight” themselves with logistical support from the U.S., and that that number should double by next year. If that happens, American military forces could begin a drawdown in numbers proportional to the increasing self-sufficiency of the Iraqi forces in 2006. If all goes well, I believe we can have a much smaller American military presence there by the end of 2006 or in 2007, but it is also likely that our presence will need to be significant in Iraq or nearby for years to come.”

What Lieberman knows as well is that the democratic party is headed for election disaster next year if it keeps up this current anti-war, anti-democracy pro-terrorist crap.

One more thing. The word Liberal as it’s often used to describe those that fall into the Democratic mud puddle is actually a misnomer. The word has been stolen by the Filthy Left just as sure as they’ve stolen other words like progressive and gay.

It used to be that a decent human being could be a liberal minded progressive who from time to time was gay. Not any more. I think you see what I mean. We aren’t in a war, we’re in an occupation. And a BLOODY one. As far as occupation goes, and the measurement of that, this has been a DISASTER. And lets not forget the ~15,000 injured, many of the severely. In previous wars these soldiers would be dead, now they’re just crippled for life, either physically or mentally!

What kind of logic is that WORFEUS? I guess Bush hasn’t really done a good job of honoring the sacrifice of our troops acoording to that line of thinking. 2000 casualties is pretty minimal in a war. After all, we’ve lost more people in the World Trade Center. Perhaps Bush should start arming the insurgents so he can really start sacrificing some more troops.

Ryan, I never called Lieberman “left wing”, you illiterate hack. I didn’t “attack” Think Progress, unless the word “attack” means debunk by means of facts and logic. You are hopelessly stuck in your own spin. Yes, Baghdad bureau chief of TIME magazine offered up an attack on Lieberman on Air America radio. Quite convenient, if you ask me. Now instead of actually refuting what Lieberman says, you just keep saying he is divorced from reality. That’s pretty petty if I may say so myself. And for Judd of Think Progress to sit there and act like he knows more about what the Iraqis want, when Lieberman has actually spoken with them, well that just confirms the “reality-based” nature of this website.

I’m willing to bet that Think Progress would be able to claim they knew more about the moon than Neil Armstrong if they had to.

I left out the fact that Think Progress added “immediate” to the Iraqi leaders words, when they never said any such thing. Just more spin to add to the hurricane Think Progress manages to create every time they have to throw someone under the bus.
