Were were these 55% in the last election?

  2. Punchy says:

Again…who and where are those 45% who DO? Did this poll just the South? Just Texas?

I’m quickly losing faith in the intelligence of the populace…

  3. Ancient Purple says:

    yankeluh,

Why, they were all voting to ensure that gays are not allowed to marry because that would destroy the American family.

You know, like in Massachusetts, which has the lowest divorce rate in the country, but not in Arizona which prohibits gay marriage but has one of the highest divorce rates in the country.

See? Gays marrying is the ultimate threat to this county.

  4. Jim says:

Goddamn… I hope this means people are going to wake up and quit voting like zombies.

  5. Marie says:

After 3 years, 45% STILL don’t recognize that he has no plan? How much proof do some people need? Yesterday’s highly touted speech was supposed to dispel doubts and encourage Americans, but his words are meaningless slogans. How long must this go on?

IRAQ: Strategic City Stabilization Initiative (SCSI)

    Description

The United States Agency for International Development is seeking applications for an Assistance Agreement from qualified sources to design and implement a social and economic stabilization program impacting ten Strategic Cities, identified by the United States Government as critical to the defeat of the Insurgency in Iraq. The number of Strategic Cities may expand or contract over time.

USAID plans to provide approximately $1,020,000,000 over two years to meet the objectives of the Program. An additional option year may be considered amounting to $300 million at the discretion of USAID.

Funds are not yet available for this program.

  7. madrino says:

Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, Feith and our $400B military conceived the worst military plan of attack and securing the peace in the history of modern warfare. It clearly was not in the interest of the above to ever accomplish anything that was stated before or on “Bush’s plan for victory”. Such a military blunder and the dispersal of misinformation should not go unpunished. Yet, these these people keep making money from their insider jobs, war profiteering, and the military continues to get greater incentives for incompetence.

I have to believe that much of our nation’s leadership is not only for sale, but is on the front side of taking money from nations to do our bidding. The loss of allowing Sibel Edmonds speak due to “states secrets” is terrible in that it could have cast a net far wider in implicating those in congress as well that have been a part of this tragedy and the loss of our freedoms. Ms. Edmonds’ case was denied by the Supreme Court because the information she has is to damaging to a country that is supposed to be open and transparent. I would urge everyone to read August 1, 2004: Sibel Edmonds’ Letter to Chairman Thomas Kean available from her website @ http://www.justacitizen.com which sheds some insight of how insidious this administration, congress and intelligence community of this country really are.

  8. wwallace says:

The Bush administration released a 35 page plan yesterday. Therefore, anyone who says there is no plan is a delusional kook.

  9. freedom is not free! says:

In 1976. I had Just Joined the Army. April 5 1976.
its good to know what happened in 1976.

The last time Bush’s jury duty surfaced in news media accounts sparked controversy involving several questions on his juror questionnaire that were left blank, including a question about previous arrests.

Bush was governor of Texas at the time and running for president. He managed to get excused from jury service, saying that, as governor, he might be asked to pardon the person on whose case he sat as juror.

It later was revealed that Bush had been arrested for DWI in Maine in 1976, and the Democratic Travis County attorney at the time charged in several media outlets that he thought Bush “used his position as governor” to avoid having to answer potentially embarrassing questions about his past.

There are no such probing questions on the basic McLennan County juror questionnaire.

  10. michael says:

Quantity and quality are not related. His plan should start off by saying “We fu@#ed up”.

How has Bush’s speech affected your opinion of the U.S.’ Iraq strategy?

    There’s been no change 46%
    My opinion has lowered 32%
    My opinion has improved 22%

Do you think the U.S. will ultimately achieve victory in Iraq?

    No 66%
    Yes 34%

    Total Votes: 98,341

  13. Spudge_Boy says:

The poll being sited in this thread only polled 606 people. I tend to believe the poll of 98 thousand people more.

  14. Pablo in Mexico says:

Bushlandia lost this war the day they decided, for PR purposes only, to rush past numerous ammo bunkers, go straight to Baghdad, and overturn Hussein statutes.

They are not in a position to win this war today, tommorow, or the next day. They will even be in a worse position when they start withdrawing troops to satisfy the puke electorate in the up-coming elections.
