on this thing. We are going to give the president well-considered proposals and then he will decide where he wants to go.” — Treasury Secretary John Snow, speaking today on tax reform
I suspect that any tax reform proposal would be much better if the Presnit wasn’t asked where the wanted to go but went where the majority of the taxpayers told him to go.
Speaking of various “wars on” things, I
was wondering if, since this administration
refuses to DO anything about climate change, Chimpy
will shortly annouce the GWOW, AKA Global War
on Weather. That should help his polling.
You know, I think the real Republican Party motto ought not to be “we’re against big government” but “we’re against telling you when we ever plan on doing a damned thing.”
What is it with Artificial Timetables with these people. Set a real god damn timetable.

December 8th, 2005 at 5:41 pmAny timetable, timeframe, deadline, etc. anybody sets for any plan and/or activity is ultimately arbitrary and thus “artificial”.
Whether they set it now, or six months from now, their timetable will be equally “artificial”.
Hiding behind semantics -what a lame way to dodge responsibility.

Set a timetable and let the administration decide if its “artifical”
December 9th, 2005 at 10:17 amAn “artificial” timetable? Then let’s come up with an “all-natural” timetable, no preservatives or additives! Would that bleedin’ help?
