Glad to see these folks getting some attention. But there doesn’t seem much to back up crowley’s assertion that conservative blogs are more effective than left-wing blogs.
Well, perhaps they forgot talk much about Duke Cunningham. How influential was Josh with that story? Duke is going to the big house – that seems influential to me
I dunno. I think Stoller had a point. This people plug right into fox news. Liberals are in a vaccum. We don’t have fox or drudge.

Are you just ill-informed or is it something else?
Let me “help” you out.
First of all, cable news is the backwater of the TV media. O’Reilly gets the lion’s share of viewers, about 2 million per show. Compare that to the 40 to 60 million viewers who watch network broadcast news on any given evening. Only the nutbar fringe watches Kill Bill O’Leilly, and a fair number of viewers are people who hate his guts and watch to call him on his bullshit. Now granted, there is no “liberal bias” in the media, not even at CBS, the NYTimes or the WaPo. They are all major corporations and I don’t know of any left-leaning media corporations, do you? But you grant Faux News a faux status it doesn’t merit.
here is the problem. Right wing Christians(Whatever that is).

How much damage will men like George Bush, James Dobson, Pat Robertson, Sam Brownback, Ralph Reed, and Rick Santorum inflict before reason prevails and they are unmasked as the twisted, malevolent charlatans that they are? Fundamentalist Christians, adherents to a nauseating perversion of Christianity (conjured from their twisted imaginations and their distorted interpretations of the Bible) wield a significant amount of power in the United States, socially and politically. Fund-raising, promotional, and organizational skills have enabled these Corpora-Fascist Capitalists masquerading as practitioners of the Christian faith to gain pervasive influence over the Republican Party. Despite recent blows, Republicans still control the Executive and Legislative branches of government, and are well on their way to dominating the Judicial branch by appointing judges who zealously rule in ways which promote the Social Darwinism, elitism, bigotry, property rights, and corporate power the Christo-Fascist Fundamentalist Christians crave.
Oppressed groups succeed because life is tougher for them in the jungle, and they develop skills others never find the need to use. And people respond, “Well, good for them – life is tough. It’s tough in the jungle for everyone.”
This is good news and reflective of all the good work that so many groups are doing including the AFL-CIO, Jobs with Justice, Wake Up Wal-Mart and Wal-Mart Watch. It’s no doubt this is why Wal-Mart is advertising about how their employees (ooops, associates) love their jobs and benefits.

Now, as far as cable goes, the liberal blogosphere surpassed cable news in the critical 20 to 45 y.o. demographic back in June. And as far as the blogosphere goes…DailyKos alone is larger than the entire conservative blogosphere. We have a ways to go, but don’t underestimate the mood of the country because “the media”, including the non-existent “liberal media” gives you the impression this place country is decidedly “conservative”. It ain’t. Not the majority of the population. We as a population are far more moderate than Faux News. Turn off your TV. It’s all bullshit anyway.
December 11th, 2005 at 4:34 pmAt least the TV News is bullshit. Watch movies and the Discovery channel. I like to watch the mammals do it like they do on the Discovery channel.
