Lynne Cheney “was the latest Bush administration figure sent to marshal support for the United States’ Iraq policy,” the AP reported today.
Her audience? Fourth- and fifth-graders at Washington-area two elementary schools.
For her part, Cheney did allow some questions, a practice President Bush frequently resists:
When a student asked how the Iraqi constitution would benefit the country’s children, she said the change would be significant. It gives them the chance to grow up in…”a different society from the brutal one they used to live in.”
Unfortunately, that’s not the case. It may be a different society, but for many Iraqi children, it’s still brutal (more here):
Acute malnutrition among young children in Iraq has nearly doubled since the United States led an invasion of the country 20 months ago, according to surveys by the United Nations, aid agencies and the interim Iraqi government. [...]
The new figure translates to roughly 400,000 Iraqi children [under five] suffering from “wasting,” a condition characterized by chronic diarrhea and dangerous deficiencies of protein.
The surveys suggest the silent human cost being paid across a country convulsed by instability and mismanagement. While attacks by insurgents have grown more violent and more frequent, deteriorating basic services take lives that many Iraqis said they had expected to improve under American stewardship.
Iraq’s child malnutrition rate now roughly equals that of Burundi, a central African nation torn by more than a decade of war. It is far higher than rates in Uganda and Haiti.
Lynne Cheney should have given the kids a lesson in the consequences of failing to plan.
Isn’t that reaching a little far for an audience, Lynn?
December 15th, 2005 at 3:18 pmMaybe she’ll show Mary Cheney how to skick up her finger.
December 15th, 2005 at 3:19 pmWhat’s she doing – stealing their lunch money to help fund the Occupation?
December 15th, 2005 at 3:20 pmWhy did the school permit this bitch access to their 4th and 5th graders to propagandize her husband’s war?
If I were a parent of one of these little darlings, I’d file a lawsuit.
December 15th, 2005 at 3:26 pm.
Can’t…They’d probably take the parents and accuse them as terrorists and they’d never be heard from again!
C’mon, a photo-op is a photo-op! She can’t address grown-ups (unless it is carefully scripted) and so they put her in a class of toddlers so they cannot ask the tough questions…
This administration has no clue! The SCRIPT everything and unless it is rehearsed, then there is nothing to report!
December 15th, 2005 at 3:31 pmHow does the United Nations have the balls to survey how children are living in Iraq when their own “Oil for Food” program denied them of the food and aid? At least now they have hope for a better life now that they don’t live under a tyrant. I thought that liberals used to fight for human rights, I guess they would rather have their power back.
December 15th, 2005 at 3:32 pmMaybe she is part of the DOD’s arsenal of military recruitment tools aimed at children…

December 15th, 2005 at 3:35 pmNeato – Isn’t Casto a tyrant as well? Why haven’t we invaded & occupied Cuba? Oh that’s right, no oil.

December 15th, 2005 at 3:35 pmAnd did the parents of these children consent to this?
This is why my children won’t set foot in a public school for their education. I don’t want war mongers teaching my child anything
December 15th, 2005 at 3:38 pmCastro is not harboring terrorists you idiot! When will the left realize or understand we did not attack for oil? You people are morons. Its a good thing you are not in charge.
December 15th, 2005 at 3:39 pmI have come to the conclusion in my short time posting here that liberals are eternal pessimists and hate America. I don’t recall conservatives being so pessimistic during the Clinton years. Are you guys ever happy?
December 15th, 2005 at 3:41 pmHay Neato, Incase you are not aware the tyrant in charge here is the one who started the war there, He cares not about the children or the people in either country.

Absolutely. It’s nice walking through life without the blinders on.
December 15th, 2005 at 3:43 pm#9 We actually put Castro there. We had their democratically elected leader – Manuel Noriega assassinated (because he was outspoken againstthe U.S.) and established a dictatorship in Cuba. Yeah, the very same government bringing “Democracy” to Iraq…
December 15th, 2005 at 3:44 pmI know you did not attack for oil. You attacked for money.
200 Billion dollars of it and climbing.
Or did you think none of us noticed that the ONLY company to get the NO BID contract, a contract that no one else could bid on, just happened to be the company that the recent former CEO of just happens to be the VICE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES?
Did you really think that none of us noticed?
December 15th, 2005 at 3:45 pm#12 I’m a liberal and I teach high school in the Public School System. Not all teachers are Bushevics. In fact, most are pretty liberal. Knowledge is the krypton of the Neocons, afer all.
December 15th, 2005 at 3:45 pmMaybe Castro is not harboring, but he didn’t treeat his own people well either, poltical prioners and no freedom of speech, etc. Besides, whouldn’t the world be better off without Fidel?
December 15th, 2005 at 3:46 pmOil, huh? Well the Iraq case is pretty complicated
December 15th, 2005 at 3:46 pmafter all the BushCo. lies. Gets pretty hard to tell.
I wonder why they only guarded the Oil Ministry?
Must have been an address mistake. I am sure they
wanted to guard the hospital, right?
Does anyone think we would be much involved in
the Persian Gulf if there were no oil anywhere
in the area?
Not saying oil isn’t important, but it WAS in the
Iraq calculus somewhere.
BTW, My comment #18 was for you Ryan Neato, your comment number 13.
December 15th, 2005 at 3:47 pmCheney looks like she is holding up the Satan “horns” sign to me. What an appropriate crimson blood colored blazer and black pointy “witch” shoes. Did she leave her pitchfork in ther corner? I’m surprised the kids didn’t run away screaming.
December 15th, 2005 at 3:47 pmwwallace, How do you Like my Phoney Name?
December 15th, 2005 at 3:48 pmLynne Cheney is speaking the truth. It is the other side, hell bent on losing, that seems to blur the facts. Sadam was a brutal dictator.
If we do lose the war, the American left should be forced to live under Sadam since they seem to think pre-war Iraq was so much better than a post-Sadam one.
December 15th, 2005 at 3:48 pmHey nerto (Ryan) we don’t hate america , we hate people like you . Your kind keeps getting us in messes like this and then don’t have the nards to admit your wrong , that’s what true sociopath does .
December 15th, 2005 at 3:48 pmIt’s not the oil. It’s for money. It’s for neverending multi-billion dollar contracts for the Vice Presidents firm. He will be reaping the profits of this war for years to come once he is out of office.
He probably figured it was the only way to make money, as his heart would not stand up for the lecture circuit.

This is so Orwellian it’s ridiculous.
December 15th, 2005 at 3:52 pmYep!Neato, Please tell us all how much your president has done for the USA and the world.
December 15th, 2005 at 3:52 pmWORFEUS, it’s satire, not an opinion. Castro is as much of a monster as Sadam – trust that. For as much as Bushie touts the “are we better off with him or without him” on Sadam, why didn’t he go after Castro the same way, if that’s the criteria – that’s the point. I guess if there was oil in cuba…
December 15th, 2005 at 3:55 pmI think she was discussing the voting process and democracy – something the History and Civics teachers fail to teach adequately. Wish we had the balance of Mrs. Cheney at our local schools. My neighbor came over and mentioned a “Social Sudies” writing prompt about sparing “Tookie” Crip Williams. She was livid. Needless to say, her little Repub thought the needle was too good for the murderer. I guess Tookie got taken.
December 15th, 2005 at 3:56 pmDid Lynne tell the one about the WP falling on the civilians like a gentle snow, or the one about how the Iraqi children have a new kind of fun playing in the depleted uranium contaminated soil. Great fun!,Lucky kids.
December 15th, 2005 at 3:56 pmSee Ryan Nerdo nobody likes you and your daddy didn’t hold you enough .
December 15th, 2005 at 3:59 pmSorry, back on point. Who was it that said give me your children untill they are 5 years old and I will have them forever.? Cant remember but it was one of the Nazi bunch many years ago. If I had children in public school right now I would be pulling them out of that school and getting ready to sue for filling my kids head full of propaganda bull S***. Same for prayer and leanings to parties left right or center. More reich wing crap.
December 15th, 2005 at 4:00 pmNeato – Well, while we are “helping” the worlds children, why aren’t we doing anything about North Korea? Do you know how many hundreds of thousands are starving (if not millions)? Or what about that governments official policy of taking all triplets from their parents and placing them in government run institutions? Oh, thats right, theres no oil there either. Plus they wouldn’t be as much as a push over as Iraq was. Do you know why we don’t attack North Korea? BECAUSE THEY ACTUALLY HAVE WMD’S! That and the fact that they have large allies (China supports North Korea, and Russia has offered them support). Iraq was supposed to be two things, an oil grab and a photo O.P., and now that it has been proven that Iraq had no WMD’s, Bush tries to say that its a mercy mission. I’m sorry, I don’t buy it. Why not feed the worlds children without bombing them first? Just a thought.
P.S. Bush and “Mercy” are two words that don’t go together well, and if you don’t agree, I have a quote that you might remember. “Please”, Bush says in a mocking tone adressing a woman on death row’s plea for clemency, “don’t kill me.”
December 15th, 2005 at 4:01 pm#36
I work in the public school system. I don’t know about all schools, but mine is in a pretty religious, conservative area of teh south and they don’t teach propaganda. Most of them are actually liberal and try to encourage the kids to consider many view points.
But, the reality is that the kids are mostly influenced at home. Their parents are their biggest role models by a long shot. Especially the parent of the same gender. If parents raise their chidlren to be freethinkers during the first five years of life, before they enter the school system, then the school system is really quite impotent to change that (it’s cultural anthropology).

December 15th, 2005 at 4:08 pmWhy do they allow these perverts to address our kids in the schools?
December 15th, 2005 at 4:10 pm
She’s just there to sell more of her crappy kids books. When Dick retires next year because of health reasons, they’re not going to be able to get by with his Halliburton parachute and his VP pension. She’s just doing what she can to help her man!

December 15th, 2005 at 4:14 pmMabey it’s a good thing she spoke of Iraq this way , the truth would haunt those poor kids . Ten years from now noone will even admit they voted for these murderers .
December 15th, 2005 at 4:16 pmI think she was discussing the voting process and democracy – something the History and Civics teachers fail to teach adequately. Wish we had the balance of Mrs. Cheney at our local schools.
It’s too early for your “comedy” routine. It’s also not that funny, it’s rather sad to watch, like Michael Jackson, or a fat, middle-aged Elvis grabbing onto the bowl with his pants down around his ankles puking up his barbiturates and fried peanut butter and banana sandwhiches. In any case, your local schools are fine if you would remove your spawn from hell and “hoamskool” them.

Remember, he thought Iraq had them, and he bombed and invaded.

He’s a puss. A paper tiger. He picks on the kid in the class who can’t fight back, and he ignores the ones who can fight back, and dare him to start something with him.

Liberals are so clueless. During the Reagan years you guys said the same kind of things and thought he was war-monger. Reagan had the correct vision of how to end the cold war and acheived it. President Bush has the same correct vision of how to acheive peace in the middle east and we are winning. History will look back on the Bush years and give credit where credit is due. Again, you guys are on the wrong side. Go Buckeyes!

Hey Ryan Neato –
I’m a republican – and I say that YOU are mindless. You just repeat the spew you hear from your Daddy Limbaugh.
You know, Clinton has been out of office for 5 years now, but you still want to continue to go back and blame Clinton for everything. It’s really getting old man. Clinton left us int he best shape we could have been – and your Boy Bush has run this country down the effing drain in 5 short years.
Bush follows NONE of the principles of Republicanism – Less Spending, Less Government…
Instead, all he’s does is consolidate his power and wealth at the expense of the entire country.
You’re not a republican. You’re just a mindless liberal hater – that has to be told what to think by Hannity the hate spewer.

Reagan a warmonger? Don’t be silly! He was a giant pussy. One bomb in Lebanon (the largest loss of life for the American military in a single incident since WWII) and he ran with his tail between his legs… and attacked… Grenanda! Because Cuba would have kicked his ass, again!
December 15th, 2005 at 4:33 pmI think history is going to look back on the Bush years as the time when the forces of evil tried to end our democracy and criminals ruled. Let’s hope things change for the better soon.

Funny in the sense that he is a parody of himself. It takes great talent for someone who doesn’t speak with that voice genuinely to do it as parody and satire and not go to far over the top. Deputy White House Chief of Staff Karl Rove is found in the woods off the George Washington Parkway with a bullet in his head. President Bush’s statement on the matter is short, and fairly terse. “I don’t think we’ll ever know why Karl committed suicide.” The Washington press lets the matter drop after Rove’s funeral. His body, then office, are checked for a suicide note, but none is found. But, a week later a White House aide sees it right there on Rove’s desk .. Holy Crap, everyone just missed seeing it. A note that three independent handwriting experts would later call a forgery. The Washington press corps remains uninterested.
Now that’s a story only a Republican would believe…right?

Ok, good. Here’s more. Something that didn’t go according to plan.
CNSNews.com) – Statistics released by the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals suggest that fewer than half of the victims of Hurricane Katrina were black, and that whites died at the highest rate of all races in New Orleans.
Liberals in the aftermath of the storm were quick to allege that the Bush administration delayed its response to the catastrophe because most of the victims were black.
Damu Smith, founder of the National Black Environmental Justice Network, in September said that the federal government “ignored us, they forgot about us … because we look like we look.”
Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan in October said that the Federal Emergency Management Agency wasn’t fit to help the storm’s victims because “there are not enough blacks high up in FEMA” and added that, “certainly the Red Cross is the same.”

Yeah, that’s it. All the news channels were using special filters on their cameras to make all of the white people look black. That also used CGI to add more black people to the rooftops to make it seem like the problem was bigger than it was.
The truth is that there were only 14 people affected by Katrina and 12 of them were white.

December 15th, 2005 at 5:48 pmQuestion:
Why are you posting at a hack site? Are you a hack? Do you always post at sites that you don’t feel a relevant? Do you also go to UFO forums and post there? Do you go to sites about witchcraft and post there? Why do you feel the need to post at a site that is in your eyes not worth the electrons it is printed on?

From the AP article. paragraphs 2 & 3:
“Two hundred and seventeen years ago, we held our first vote under our Constitution,” Vice President Dick Cheney’s wife said. “We started then on the path the Iraqis are walking now.”
Mrs. Cheney was the latest Bush administration figure sent to marshal support for the United States’ Iraq policy. She was speaking to elementary school children at two Washington-area military installations – the Marine Corps Base in Quantico, Va., and at Fort Belvoir, Va.

“I saw this movie (Brokeback Mountain) with my husband earlier this week at the Toronto Film Festival. I didn’t think it was good at all. It turns out that this movie is nothing but a perverted gay love story. I didn’t know that before we saw it. My husband, on the other hand, couldn’t stop raving about how great it was and how it really opened his eyes. Last night, he told me he wanted a divorce, and he was moving in with his best friend Erik. I think this movie turned him gay! I am so upset. He has never indicated anything about being gay, or behaved in a gay manner. When he found out that a friend of ours from church might be gay, we stopped talking with him. That’s how straight he was!!! We had a great sex life as well. I know this movie changed him. When is Hollywood going to stop peddling this kind of corrupting perverted garbage? I’m sure this will win an oscar or something and now I have to start my life over because it made my husband turn gay.”

I was summarily banned (without explanation)from the redstate.org site for posting contrarian views to the posts on that site. My point is this, right wing red state Bush worshipping inbreds are welcomed with open arms (with some mild criticisms of their contrarian views) on Progressive sites. They are seldom banned and certainly NOT for presenting their points of view within the posting rules, yet the reverse is not true. Bushites fear TRUTH on their “group think†sites. They are afraid that a ray of sunshine might ruin their mushroom crops!

December 16th, 2005 at 12:07 pmThank our republican top bananas today!”
Here’s a tidbit for all you red state Bushites that you might find interesting. I was summarily banned (without explanation)from the redstate.org site for posting contrarian views to the posts on that site. I violated no posting rules, and in fact offered some very civil and (I’d say) sanguine points and remarks.

So far I’ve only been able to post nearly unhindered on this one and, once again I thank the powers that be that they allow me post here even though everyone knows that I’m a conservative troll and a…(WARNING: cover your children’s eyes)….Christian. That alone makes me less of a human being in the eyes of the Filthy Left. That said I have been banned from DU but in all fairness I did try and say Walter Williams might make a good role model for young American boys who happen to be dark skinned.

I’ll bet. But you need to understand something. Left Wing Weenies (maybe not you) are known to be mostly juvenile delinquents who will spam a site at the urging of some Left Wing traitor blogger like Carlos “Screw Them” Zuninga, or that idiot Justin “Rainman” Raimondo. They filth they spew makes Ryan Neat look like a choir boy. There’s no reason to put up with that shit and who’s got time to figure out which one of you losers is bent that way? There ya go. It’s obvious living in a cloistered, inbred community does not afford you to SEE and UNDERSTAND the tragic irony of the front page of Monday’s USA Today “news”paper, where on one side there was a color photo of Stanley “Tookie” Williams with Headlines announcing Schwarzenegger’s denial for clemency (and Williams’ subsequent execution- for the murders of 4 people); then on the opposite side of the page written in big bold letters “BUSH ADMITS 30,000 DEAD IN IRAQ”.
…and they executed who?

I personally don’t consider you “less of a human” because of your religion. I consider you more of a Neanderthal because of your deep-seated racism.
After exposing the rest of us to your bigoted, racist, misogynistic rants, don’t expect anyone to feel sorry for you.

“Yea? And what has your big bad tough guy done to North Korea.”
Do you actually think that the U.S. would attempt doing anything to N. Korea militarily considing that they have nukes? Do you know what a nuke is and what it can do?
“Remember, he thought Iraq had them, and he bombed and invaded.”
Bush didn’t think that Iraq had nukes before the invasion and never said Sadamm did. Where are do you get your news from? He said he was trying to produce them.
“He’s a puss. A paper tiger. He picks on the kid in the class who can’t fight back, and he ignores the ones who can fight back”
If Bush Jr. would have been in office back when his father was in 1990, not only would he have demolished the 3rd largest army in the world at the time, he would have finished the job and taken out Sadamm…as should have been done nearly fifteen years ago.
BTW Clinton was and is the biggest puss of all time considering he vowed to take care of the Al Qaeda problem for seven years after the 1993 WTC bombing and in turn we got 9/11 and over 3,000 dead. The deaths of those in NYC lie squarely at the feet of Dick Clinton.
December 17th, 2005 at 7:07 pm#146
“NATO did that, and it wasn’t Yugoslavia”
Serbia, Croatia whatever…please don’t get into semantics. The U.S. led the way as they did in the 1990-1991 Gulf War and did most of the work for that puss European’s who couldn’t seem to take care of problems in their own back yard.
“Yugoslavia had already fallen apart and civil war was going on.”
What Milosivic and the Serbians were doing was NOT civil war…it was systematic slaughter of civilians.
“Now there is civil war going on in Iraq when there wasn’t one before.”
So stoping genocide committed by Milosivic and the Serbians was the right thing to do but stopping Sadamm from doing the SAME for thirty years was not?
“Are all trolls this stupid?”
You must be the troll because you asked the question:
December 17th, 2005 at 7:27 pm“What do you mean we, white man?” and then gave a dumb answer: “NATO did that…”
#153
They critized him for not acting sooner!
“Believe me, if Bush had successfully put a stop to violence in Iraq he would have much more support for his war”
The only way there wasn’t going to be violence between the Sunnis and the Shiite’s was if the invasion and the removal of Sadamm’s regime didn’t happen. Then there would be just a continuation of the slaughter of the Shiites by Sadamm and a further continuation after his sons took over. The types of democratic political changes that are taking place in Iraq don’t come about peacefully. Do you know of any free society that came to be without a violent revolution or civil war?
BTW NATO peacekeeping forces are STILL in former Yugoslavia, i.e. an occupying force, so why are so many people whinning about coalition forces still in Iraq?..only three years so far.
December 17th, 2005 at 11:05 pm#156

Bush lied to the U.N.? Do you have some proof of that? Bush had international support to get rid of Sadamm but apparently they didn’t have the guts to enforce their own resolutions.

If you slimy, inbred, right wing, Al Cracka, Bushites remain in power for mush longer mother nature or internecine conflict will destroy this nation.
Personally, I’m from the Sherman school of war. If the dogs of war must be unleashed, one should be sufficiently contemptuous of one’s foe as to be willing to render that foe totally inert! This means that the foe should pose such a threat or embody such evil that one is willing to use brutal force and tactics sufficient to make that foe incapable of ever rising up again.
Bushiva can’t do that (morally) because the Iraqis have done NOTHING to us.
Over 30,000 lives (yeah right wink wink), and $2-300 billion dollars to catch and have a show trial for ONE man, who’s the fool Trite?

http://www.radstats.org.uk/no069/article3.htm
You need to come up with a different list in order to have creditability.
December 18th, 2005 at 1:33 pmTrashy #247
I fully understand why you can’t even spell the word: “credibility”, because the dark force you serve (the Bushite junta) has none; having said that, Bill Clinton (who is NO LONGER PRESIDENT) has spoken on more than one occasion about his regret at not responding to the RWANDAN genocide (and God will judge HIM for that). But pray tell- with hindsight being what it is, why hasn’t your god (Bushiva) moved to stop the genocide being perpetrated daily against the tribesmen, women and children of Sudan?
I’ll tell you why, number one: Sudan (unfortunately for those victims of the infamous Janjaweed mass murdering scum) isn’t sitting on strategic oil reserves. You see to the right wing scumbag Bushites “freedom and democracy” are reserved only for those who can pay for it! Secondly, they’re just a bunch of dirt poor, Black beasts of burden relegated to the trash heap of humanity by your European gods of corruption and evil!
Let’s talk more about “credibility” sometime when you’ve learned both its meaning, and THEN how to spell it!
December 19th, 2005 at 8:29 amTrash #247,
By the by,
December 19th, 2005 at 8:42 amI realize that “creditability” could be used in place of “credibility”, but it (creditability) is a term that carries too monetary a connotation (guess that’s the republiscum in you) for my tastes. “Credibility” seems to me to be the more appropriate term when discussion is of a philosophical nature relating to “trustworthiness” and “believability”.
“Bill Clinton (who is NO LONGER PRESIDENT) has spoken on more than one occasion about his regret at not responding to the RWANDAN genocide”
I don’t care for his MULTIPLE BS excuses especially when it comes to why Al Qaeda was able to carry out 9/11 even though he had seven years to shut them down. His LACK of regret is about as genuine as his regret for the fact the he didn’t shut down Al Qaeda for seven years…it’s NON- EXISTANT. 9/11 happened because Clinton didn’t respond to the Al Qaeda threat. BTW the U.N. and the pussy French (you know the occupying force in Rwanda in 1994) let the genocide happen. The U.S can’t take care of every problem that happens in the world and the U.N. needs to for once, step up and do it without the U.S. having to hold their hand. Where was the corrupt U.N. when the genocide in Rwanda was going on?
“But pray tell- with hindsight being what it is, why hasn’t your god (Bushiva) moved to stop the genocide being perpetrated daily against the tribesmen, women and children of Sudan?”
As soon as you explain why Clinton didn’t do anything to prevent the genocide in Rwanda. BTW the Bush administration has done far more to mediate peace in the Sudan than Clinton ever did in Rwanda…oh I forgot he didn’t do ANYTHING.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/africa/3211002.stm
“Sudan (unfortunately for those victims of the infamous Janjaweed mass murdering scum) isn’t sitting on strategic oil reserves.”

“This means that the foe should pose such a threat or embody such evil that one is willing to use brutal force and tactics sufficient to make that foe incapable of ever rising up again.”
If you are suggesting that a weapon unused is a useless weapon you are wacked. The fact that the U.S. never had to use nukes on the Soviets made the arms race during the Cold War a useless exercise and had absolutely nothing to do with the collapse of USSR? LOL!
“Bushiva can’t do that (morally) because the Iraqis have done NOTHING to us.”
The invasion of 2003 was not about trying to kill Iraqis. BTW why if this insurgency in Iraq today is all about ousting the coalition from Iraq in order to restore Iraqi pride by expelling a foreign force (i.e. their cause is noble), then why don’t the Shiite’s comprise the majority of those insurgents…why are the vast majority Sunni’s? Answer, because the insurgents are sympathizers of the Baathist party that brutally ran Iraq for 30 years!
“Over 30,000 lives (yeah right wink wink), and $2-300 billion dollars to catch and have a show trial for ONE man, who’s the fool Trite?”
If that is as insightful as to the MULTITUDE of long run benefits that ousting Sadamm will bring then you should understand why liberals won’t be back in control of Congress or the Presidency for decades to come. Your insight is about a long as your attention span when dealing with world wide beneficial long term solutions that might take years if not decades to realize.
December 19th, 2005 at 5:25 pm#244 again
“YOUR president lied to go to war”
Which panel, court, or committee has come to that provable conclusion?
“…and Bill Clinton can walk the streets of any country in the world and people will greet him as a hero…(your cheerleading wus can’t do that can he?)”
A hero for doing what?! He didn’t do anything for TEN years! LOL! BTW would he be a hero walking down the streets of Belgrade after bombing the crap out of that city, or the streets of Kartoum after mistakenly bombing an asprin factory while screwing one of his interns, or the streets of Baghdad after killing many civilians with various bombing raids?
December 19th, 2005 at 6:03 pmSo Lynn Cheney talked to school children about the election in the country their parents are serving in. Gee, how terrible. We actually do teach current events in school!
December 19th, 2005 at 6:35 pmThe woman has written childrens books and you call her names? You laud Howard Stern. Uffda.
You have (I would assume liberal) people on this site who say they really indoctrinate the kids in their classrooms and are proud of it. (Maybe that’s why the scores are not so great- too much time indoctrinating-less time teaching). Didn’t see any objection to that….yuck.
Do you people think I mean really think or just foam at the mouth?
“Were we in a “just†society we’d have impeachment hearings scheduled for next week, because there’s no doubt the mr. Danger broke the law when he circumvented the courts to authorize spying on American citizens.”
Please explain to the audience, you being an expert on constitutional law (NOT!), how Bush broke the law by authorizing wire taps on American citizens?
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/12/16/AR2005121600021.html
“The super-secretive NSA, which has generally been barred from domestic spying except in narrow circumstances involving foreign nationals…”
i.e. it’s LEGAL to wire tap in when it involves foreign nationals.
“For more than four years, the NSA tasked other military intelligence agencies to assist its broad-based surveillance effort directed at people inside the country suspected of having terrorist connections, even before Bush signed the 2002 order that authorized the NSA program, according to an informed U.S. official.”
i.e. the Clinton adminstration knew about the NSA program and used it multiple times during his administration…again it’s use is narrow in scope but legal. BTW, just because the NY Time SPECULATES that hundreds perhaps thousands of American citizen’s had their phone or e-mail conversations monitored, doesn’t make it so.
