  6. THOT'S says:

thot that bushco had spirited Think Progress to one of their super secret black holes..Whew! glad your back…

  7. ThinkingChristian says:

I had just figured the dittohead trolls were trying to crash the site…

Seriously, what else can they do at this point? Unwarranted espionage and the like is the hallmark of the far-righters — this is the sort of thing the UN’s supposed to be wanting to do to us, right?

  8. unbelievable says:

Maybe we should consider this a fire-drill of what it will be like when the Neocons do lock down the internet (all in the same of saving the children from pornography or the country from terror, no doubt), and use this sense of concern we have to fight to keep our freedom of speech.

    Impeach Bush!

  9. Randy says:

#7 That’s not very Christian of you is it? But, I forgive you, its not your fault that all democrats seem to be capable of these days is criticism. The last thing we’d want to do is bring down this site. Contrary to what you may think, we do believe in free speech. We’d miss our daily chuckle each day from reading the kooked out posts you all supply us with.

  10. Skeptic says:

I was wondering if the system had overloaded from too many readers. Or a deliberate DOS attack from right wing hackers.

  11. caspermilktoast says:

    #9

Well, these “kooked out posts” are backed by links to credible and/or independent sources. Please point me to a site from the Right that can claim as much.

  12. caspermilktoast says:

Besides, Randy, it isn’t very “Christian” of you to judge your brethren through generalizations, now is it? Gotta love the hypocritical slave-mentality.

  13. Pete Bogs says:

actually I think the NSA has hijacked this site to prevent us from speaking our minds on the wiretap issue…

    Take action now!

Call or write you Representative and Senators and let them know that they will not get your vote if they do not demand impeachment hearings immediately.

    Do it now!

  16. Magnum DB says:

#7, it is not that we are only capable of criticizing, it is that this administration which has stolen the government is only capable of doing things which constitute constant criticism. I know you would beg to differ, but that’s the difference between trolls like you, and patriots like us… we’re for progressing America to a better state, while you just have your heads up your asses, looking to make Republicans seem like the right choice because you hate to be seen as wrong.

  17. Magnum DB says:

Woops! I meant #9! All that talk, and I can’t even press the right number.

  18. Randy says:

#17 – we’re for progressing America to a better state

Huh? What exactly do you mean by this? I guess I must have missed something, but in last fall’s election, the number one priority was national security, something that your candidate, John Kerry, did not perform very well in. How is a state that is not secure, better? Am I to believe that if we elect a liberal president in ‘08, that things will immediately become better for me? I don’t think so, but thats not for me to decide. Its what America decides. Whichever party comes up the best ideas on where to take this country and gets more people to buy into those ideas wins. Your problem and not mine, is that your party has fallen to far to the left that is out of touch with mainstream America. Although, you’ll never admit to this fact because you have your perpetual rose-colored liberal glasses on. Read something else besides the New York Times and you’ll see. We are winning in Iraq, the economy is humming along. Don’t fight us, just join us.

  19. Dr. Strangelove says:

Truth is a whore who steals your wallet when you are showering. Thanks for propogating.

  20. MLDB says:

Randy…have a cracker you Limbannity parrot

  21. Sharon Cox says:

Sooooooo glad the sites back up and running. Was having a break down, first thought it was my old puter, then thought I was booted off for offending someone, lastly thought a Bush worm had attacked us. Yahooooooo! Blessings

  22. unbelievable says:

    #318

Randy, news flash – in 2004, Bush “won” by 51%. He didn’t win by a landslide as you are insinuating. He won by a handful of votes that were mostly likely stolen anyway. And if the 2005 election showed anything, it was that Republicans are not advancing. Stop watching FAUX “News” and try an independent source.

  23. Dr. Strangelove says:

Oh Randy…..such stately, proud trumpets precede you…

If you have not noticed, one could drive over, under and around our borders with relative ease….and it’s…brace yourself….2005….quite a long time after 9/11…but we will protect our airlines from bi-polar disorderlies! Good job, as the death toll rises…..

And don’t start that “economy is good”..crap…key word, “DEFICIT”…

  24. Keith H. says:

Thanks a ton for getting it running again.
I was suffering from TP DTs.

  25. unbelievable says:

Oh, and he didn’t even win in 2000 to begin with – Gore did!

  26. Granite State Destroyer says:

I suggest we change the name to the Stalin Act.

    -GSD

  27. Unarmed says:

Schweet! Say good-bye to the 2nd Amendment, winger trolls. And you never saw it coming. Some did. But not you. Irony. Wingers have always been irony impaired.

  28. Randy says:

    #25
See – thats your problem – you people cannot get beyond 2000! Bush won every recount and all the Supreme Court did was to stop wasting any more time recounting. The 51% he recieved in the last election was more than Clinton received in either one. If your party hadn’t pulled nasty tricks like drudging up the dui story, things may have turned out alot different. Granted, if I were Bush, I would have made sure that story was released prior to even running so that it couldn’t hurt anything. So the swiftboat attacks just returned the favor.

  29. blogenfreude says:

It could have been worse – you could have been on Typepad. A bunch of us Typepad refugees had to put up a temp blog (which now, of course, refuses to die!).

  30. Taco Loco says:

    #28

With the kind of Campaigning that your party has endorsed, condoned and practiced for the past ten years, you have no business saying anything about NASTY TRICKS!

  31. Wayne says:

    #18

Quit parroting Rush Limburger and watching Faux News long enough to read about the laws on the books, that Chimpy broke and you will have to admit that impeachment is the only solution.

When you have empowered yourself with knowledge and understand the crisis our currently is in with this would be dictator in office, join us in defense of the Constitution and American Civil Liberties calling for the Impeachment of Bush.

Bush ordering wiretaps without a court order was illegal, period. That is an Impeachable offence

  32. Skeptic says:

    Randy;
Did you see the last 9-11 commission report? The one where the Bush Administration was blamed for not preparing for future terrorist attacks?
    http://www.cbc.ca/story/world/national/2005/12/05/911051205.html

In case you missed it here is a URL from a Canada news outlet.
SO we don’t have a state secure from external threat and with Bushco we don’t have a state free from government spying. So what were the benefits of electing Bush again?

  33. Randy says:

    Wayne,

Why don’t you quit parroting your party’s line long enough to know that Clinton was have the NSA do the exact same thing. You guys have no credibility and you know it!

  34. Randy says:

If Bush were the dictator that you all claim him to be, why hasn’t he squashed free speech? He is not a dictator. You people are all demented.

  35. unbelievable says:

    #28

No, he did not win 2000. Florida did a recount and Gore won.

I don’t see you getting past anything Clinton did, and Clinton was longer ago than Bush.

Who cares if Bush got more than Clinton – he wasn’t against Clinton anyway… Besides, Bush only won by a thin line, not the canyon you delusionally are claiming.

  36. Burgman says:

    Randy :

People like you who read the headlines about the economy don’t have a clue.

23 Million jobs created under Clinton

    4.8 Million under Bush

    Any questions

  37. unbelievable says:

If Bush were the dictator that you all claim him to be, why hasn’t he squashed free speech? He is not a dictator. You people are all demented.

    Comment by Randy — December 19, 2005 @ 5:02 pm

Oh, he’s working on it… And then you’ll be sorry because you won’t have it either. And you’ll miss all of the Progressives you hang out with here (you do realize that you come to US, and not the other way around).

  38. David says:

34- what exactly is a “free speech zone?”

  39. Donnie Baker says:

  40. Ryan Neat says:

Randy, bush and the Corporate Rightwing Media have consistently squashed free speech – that’s why so much activity is on the blogs, and why republicans have repeatedly tried to create legislation to restrict us.

Why do you think so many press outlets squashed so many stories, including this one, for so long? Because republicans largely control the media, as all dictatorships do. Even in nazi germany, and communist russia, stories eventually leaked you fool…

And hadn’t you noticed that Bush is now claiming (an utter lie of course) that the free press is undermining security as a ‘threat’ as an excuse to restrict the press further. But you wouldn’t know that was happening, been a mentally retarded nazi yourself of course…

  41. seefleur says:

People, PLEASE stop giving any time or energy to “Randy”. It’s a troll, and as such a waste of time and energy. It’s not even a troll with wit or a good writing style. It deserves to be left to it’s fate of wallowing in the muck that this administration has produced. Can we please move on to something productive instead? This site is great in that it allows posters of all stripes to have a say. But do we have to encourage the gaseous fumes that some posters emanate? The noxious fumes from the White House are more than enough to cause gagging. Don’t feed these vermin.

  42. unbelievable says:

    Randy,

You should read CENSORED 2005 (though I imagine there’s a 2006 version about to come out). It’s a compliation of the top 25 news stories that were “squashed” in 2005. And it’s not the kind of information that you’d want to be squashed.

    http://www.projectcensored.org/publications/2005/

    Impeach Bush!

  43. Ryan Neat says:

Boxer floats impeachment after former White Housel counsel John Dean — made famous by his role in revealing the Watergate tapes — asserted that President Bush had ‘admitted’ to an ‘impeachable offense.’.

  44. Susan says:

For more of John Deans work, (check out the open letter to Fitz, its a doozy)….
