“A CNN/USA Today/Gallup poll shows Pres. Bush’s approval at 41% among adults, down from 42% a week prior. 56% currently disapprove.” (Via Hotline, sub req’d)
President Bush’s approval rating has surged in recent weeks, reversing what had been an extended period of decline, with Americans now expressing renewed optimism about the future of democracy in Iraq, the campaign against terrorism and the U.S. economy, according to the latest Washington Post-ABC News Poll.
Bush’s overall approval rating rose to 47 percent, from 39 percent in early November, with 52 percent saying they disapprove of how he is handling his job. His approval rating on Iraq jumped 10 percentage points since early November, to 46 percent, while his rating on the economy rose 11 points, to 47 percent.
Yes, but the WaPo poll shows just the opposite. Which leads credence to the suggestion that most of these polls are inconsistent at best, erroneous at worst.
I’ve always wondered how they randomize their samples. With the country so incredibly polarized, simply adding MS to your phone bank in place of…say..MN…would make a huge difference…
Since Bush rejects any talk of withdrawl from Iraq and Cheney has said as much that Iraq is a multi-generational war, the poll numbers, while abysmally still low, aren’t going anywhere even if they fluctuate a few points from time to time.
even with the slight jump bush’s ratings are in the toilet. the majority of the american public is unhappy with him. No matter how many desperate speeches Bush gives, it is obvious that the american love affiar with George is over, and were getting ready to ask him for his keys.
That’s right. It’s another ploy by the media and so-called
research people like Frank Luntz to lie to us and till try an now oudated form of spin to make us look stupid, but we know better.
Of course he/she has, he/she’s probably just too stupid to realize that his masters (Bushiva and L’il Dick) pay people for what wwallace does all the time on this forum.
It’s not a comeback. It’s a bringdown for him, then we take him down.

If you want to get a good laugh, “MSNBC has him at 47%.” What a joke. If a real poll was taken, I’d be surprised if he was in the 20% category.
