  4. AvengingAngel says:

“I’m confident the president knows who the source [of the Plame leak] is. I’d be amazed if he doesn’t. So I say, ‘Don’t bug me. Don’t bug Bob Woodward. Bug the president as to whether he should reveal who the source is.”
    - Robert Novak, December 13, 2005.

It proves you can be a complete jackass and people will still watch/listen to your show.

  8. Guardian of Indifference says:

I forgot to add – Hilary and McCain were particulary outrageous in their call for more troops in that my son’s would have been one of them to go – as far as i’m concerned Bush, Hilary, and McCain can all mutuallhy shove it up their aholes

  9. kevo says:

It is sad that our democracy has spawned the likes of the authoritarians throughout the MM list. The people in the list should thank god that they are free to commit such verbal atrocities upon others. Only in our great nation could such a gang operate with such impunity. The quotes supplied bare witness on the anti-democratic sentiment of this crowd. As far as I am concerned, the whole lot is as UNAMERICAN as the likes of bin Laden and al Qaeda

  10. Granite State Destroyer says:

“I gladly acdept the Golden Dildo Award and I would like to thank the Academy.
You hate, you really, really hate me!”

    -Bill O’Rielly

  11. Drew Mackenzie says:

“And so many of the [Hurricane Katrina victims] in the arena here, you know, were underprivileged anyway, so this is working very well for them.”
    - Barbara Bush

  12. Armando Gomez says:

Bill Bennett, Bill O’Reilly, Rush Limbaugh, Tucker Carlson and Anne Coulter and the other right-wing media “loyalists” aren’t really true blue conservatives—they stay swung to Right as long they’re paid quite well. In short, they’re money-grubbing maggots who aren’t fit to squirm about.

  13. the Fly-man says:

Speaking of Outrageous quotes, I’d like to thank the Loyals here, Ryan, Marie, Giacomo, Carl levin for p,GSD, And of course, wwwallace, IRI, and Miss Aphrodite, for providing us all with your unbending passion to clarify your views, along with at times those views and comments.Sorry if I forgot to mention any one. Thanks to all and Party On for Your Party!

  14. Marie says:

Back atcha, Flyman, and everyone posting here, especially the group at the CAP and TP for starting this up for us.
I think I speak for us all when I say that I hope we can see something bright on the horizon in 2006 — maybe some shiny handcuffs for the BushCo staff.

  15. Susan says:

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Happy Festivus to all.

I too am hoping for more positive language in the New Year.

Language like..”I’m glad we got that bunch of crooks out of office”…..”Senator Barack Obama you would be a great candidate for Prez in 08, you can and will win”.

“Peace on earth”….”I’m proud to be an American”.

“We are a united nation”….so on and so on.

    PEACE!

  16. A REAL FATHER! says:

Has any one other than myself, actually took a long hard look at this Act?

Under the 1998 International Religious Freedom Act, countries whose governments engage in serious violations of religious freedom can be named countries of particular concern for religious freedom.

The law offers the president a menu of options for dealing with such countries, ranging from limiting certain kinds of assistance to full sanctions

  17. Think Progress - NOT says:

Thank you ThinkProgress – Bush is at 50% now in alot of polls. Have a Merry Christmas and please keep spreading the hate. It’s a real killer at the polls!@

  18. Susan says:

#19, go to Iraq and strap a bomb to yourself, we expect nothing less from a neocon.

  19. The Debtonator says:

“George Bush is the smartest man I know. He is a man of integrity.”
    -Harriette Meyers

I fell out of my chair laughing when I heard THIS one!

  20. The Debtonator says:

#19 Where did you get THIS delussion from? Mad magazine or The Weekly World News? You are obviously spending YOUR christmas holiday in a psych ward somewhere.

  21. The Pope is the Devil! says:

Here is another most outrages statement by the pope.
Pope: Unity needed to fight terror

  22. The Pope is the Devil! says:

    Updated: 7:55 a.m. ET Dec. 25, 2005
VATICAN CITY – Pope Benedict, in his first Christmas address, on Sunday urged humanity to unite against terrorism, poverty and environmental blight and called for a ”new world order” to correct

    economic imbalances.

  23. The Pope is the Devil! says:

I DONT SEE THE POPE IN IRAQ OR AFGANISTAN. Never beeen there , has he?

The 78-year-old German-born pope made his comments to tens of thousands of pilgrims gathered under umbrellas in a rainy St. Peter square for his ”Urbi et Orbi” (to the city and the world) message and blessing.

  24. The Pope is the Devil! says:

The pope talks about peace and war in one breath. WHAT A DEVIL He is!
In a Christmas Eve message of peace, Pope Benedict XVI lights a candle Saturday at his studio window overlooking St. Peter’s square at the Vatican. Pilgrims, tourists and Romans flocked to St. Peter’s Square before Pope Benedict XVI’s first Christmas service since becoming pontiff.

  25. Marie says:

HA! The Vatican talking about economic imbalances — this from the church with the greatest riches in the world, with the most poverty-stricken, sick and needy believers in its vast congregation, which defends its own pedophiles, which closes schools and charities here in the USA for lack of sufficient donations — this from the former Nazi who now is at its head, with his Prada shoes and his golden raiments. The Catholic Church and its present head are hypocrites in the company of those who pursue their own wealth and aggrandizement on the backs of those who are among the weakest.
They are no better than the evangelicals who believe they have all the “right” answers to everything, as well as the Taliban who believe the same — this is NOT what Jesus preached.

  26. Sharon Cox says:

#27 Marie, Bravo and your right on. I agree. Blessed Yule or however you celebrate, or not…

  27. Evil Spaniard says:

Add to this list of ultrarich “believers” scientolory, telepreachers, etc…

  28. z says:

    By Ellen Knickmeyer

    Updated: 6:34 a.m. ET Dec. 24, 2005
RAMADI, Iraq – U.S. Marine airstrikes targeting insurgents sheltering in Iraqi residential neighborhoods are killing civilians as well as guerrillas along the Euphrates River in far western Iraq, according to Iraqi townspeople and officials and the U.S. military.

Just how many civilians have been killed is strongly disputed by the Marines and, some critics say, too little investigated. But townspeople, tribal leaders, medical workers and accounts from witnesses at the sites of clashes, at hospitals and at graveyards indicated that scores of noncombatants were killed last month in fighting, including airstrikes, in the opening stages of a 17-day U.S.-Iraqi offensive in Anbar province.

“These people died silently, complaining to God of a guilt they did not commit,” Zahid Mohammed Rawi, a physician, said in the town of Husaybah.

  29. Dan says:

I thought ‘You’re doin’ a heckofa job Brownie!’ by George DUHbya would have been at the top of this list.
