The Dems are idiots. Just saw Durbin on TV and was asked a direct question: was this spying illegal.
Did he say “The 4th amendment of the constitution grants rights which are codified in the laws regarding search and seizure, FISA, warrents, and court oversight contained within. If you go by the constitution and the law, this warrentless spying on Americans is clearly illegal. But not only that, it is a direct threat to the freedoms granted to evey American under the constitution.
No, he said: “I’m not prepared to say this was illegal. I think we need to have hearings. I think in 2006 we will have a debate about what powers the president has in time of war…”
WTF?!?! Are you kidding? You are going to let that softball question go by with nothing but an acknolegement that perhaps this was legal and we must have a disscussion on whether it’s ok for the President to trash the constitution?!?!?
What a a$$. If these are the people we are depending to protect us from the horrific GOP “leadership” and provide some reasonable leadership in its place, we are doomed.
How about the way Bubble boy is trying to distract from this….He wants an investigation into who leaked this crime to the public. LOL!
He could care less when The New York Times leaked the identity of Valerie Plame.
2006: Bubble Boy vs. The Times
My money is on the Times, afterall they once were propagandists for Bubble boy. Like all mafia wanna be’s they turn on each other when caught red handed.
The Truth, my husband has been coresponding with Durbin lately and has recieved non answers. Like most politicians Durbin wants hearings, to hell with hearings, let a constitutional judge decide.
Bubble Boy would rather investigate the whistleblower than admit to wrongdoing.
He preferred to trash Wilson and his wife rather than admit he lied about Niger.
He is the Eddie Haskell president. While professing innocence and good, he is a lying and underhanded sneak.
Except (for those who don’t know Leave it to Beaver) Eddie was a kid! Bush’s role model nonetheless.
Speaking of Bubble Boy, did anybody see the NewsWeek article Bush in the Bubble? It is a good read and nice to see another MSM talk about the fact that Bush doesn’t listen to anybody but himself.
For those in the Chicago area or those who are able to be in Chicago on Friday, January 6th.
D.A.W.N. and other grassroots organizations will be protesting Bubble boys appearance (hand selected audience of course) at the Chicago Board of Trade.
Bubble Boy will be boasting about a booming economy. As an Illinios resident I can attest to you that the economy here is not booming. Illinois has suffered major job losses.
The Debtonator and I have compiled statistics and interviews from The Department of Human Services, Local Food Pantries and The Peoples Resource Center in DuPage County, IL. (a very affluent county) Our research describes a very different situation than that of Bubble boys.
We will counter Bubble boys lies with a broadcast coming soon to the Blackbird Radio Network.
We will be attending the protest with D.A.W.N. on Jan. 6th and will report our experience.
We hope you can join us in Chicago on Jan. 6th.
D.A.W.N. has not posted this event on their website yet but will shortly.
Daschle is incapable of speaking in stronger terms than that. So pathetic. Why does everyone (except Howard Dean) tone down their message? The president is abusing his power — let’s hear someone in power say that!
We incarcerate people for years with out every being charged for any crime, we debate what torture is, We are lie to about Medicare costs, we are lied to about the amount of dead in Iraq, we lie about our Iraq’s troop level, We were lied to about going back to the UN before invading IRAQ, He promised to be an uniter, to reduce the size of the government and deficit. He promised to make us safer.
GWB has embarrassed us and failed us. Enough!!!! Let the due process of law finally begin.

January 1st, 2006 at 3:48 pmWell, sounds like Mr. Daschle is working on getting off my sh#*#$t list.
I will have to pay more attention to Mr. Daschle over the coming weeks.
January 1st, 2006 at 8:01 pmAmen PNY. I am tired of the weak democrats as well.
I will however have to pay attention to Mr. Daschle’s efforts here. Perhaps he is going to show us something here.
If he does, then maybe I will have to take him off my sh#*$t list.
January 1st, 2006 at 8:04 pmI… can’t understand why it is so difficult to investigate him and his adminstration. (elipsis mine)
Two words, and it is also the answer to why it was so easy to investigate anything at all regarding the Clintons: Republican Congress.
