What further evidence does the public or the press need to confirm that the prez and VP are so far out of the loop they dont have the slightest idea what is going on?
Yesterday Cheney told the Heritage foundation that the elections were the death of the insurgency. Yesterday the insurgency killed 50 Iraqis. Today they killed 100, and 5 American soldiers.
Yesterday Bush said that it was a miracle what was happening in Afghanistan. Yesterday the Taliban killed a bunch of people and are quietly going about beheading teachers. It is indeed a miracle.
Living down here in Guad I watch a lot of local news. The networks have people live, on the ground, in both Iraq and Afghanistan. They report that in the latter the Taliban is on the rise and are going aroound killing women seeking education. Is this the Bush credo?
Members of Congress should be outraged that Bush chose to keep them out of the loop of information as be proceeded to conduct business in his own fashion.
Members of select committees are unable to operate effectively when the president withholds information. George Bush needs a crash course on U.S. Government and the Constituion.
Bush continues to deny it… seems none of this matters until Dems can serve up something with teeth… there must be some way to take a criminal president out of office, even if his own party doesn’t want it…
Hardy, I really love your idea… Million Mad Voter March has a nice ring to it… I’d make the trip to DC for it… seriously, get something going…
The President can’t break the law. The last one could, but this one’s a War President, and he makes the law as he sees fit. If you don’t believe him, just ask him. Sheesh.
And to his defenders: It’s not the surveillance, it’s the oversight, and it ought to concern everyone.
‘hey look GW, if we ‘declare war’ you’ll have ‘unlimited power’….gollie gee, let’s do it! 17 saudi’s attacked us,but if we declare war on them, the’ll cut off our oil,so we’ll attack iraq!….good thinking GW. (cheney laughing inside)
#8 that sounds funny but it is almost exactly like a conversation I had with my brother inlaw prior to the Iraq Invasion. It went something like this…
Me: We can’t attack Iraq, they pose no threat to us and are actually enemies of redical ismalic fundamentalism. The terrorists we are fighting Hate Sadaam because he is not religious or radical enough.
Him: Sure, I don’t disagree with you.
Me: besides a majority of the people who attacked us were from Saudi.
Him: I know
Me: And the atmosphere in Saudi Arabia is what we need to clean up. The Saudis tolerate the anti american hate speech as long as the terrorists leave Saudi alone. We need to clean up their act and get them to stop breeding terrorists.
Him: That may all be true but we can’t attack them because they are our allies so we need to attack Iraq.
BushCo has had a six year head start on destroying this country. Will we ever recover?
Call your representatives. Tell them what you think about your 4th amendment rights being trampled on. Tell them what you’ll do if they fail to represent you and your concerns. If they won’t listen, take to the streets and boycott GOP businesses.
Impeach Bush NOW! And tell the Hague they’ll be putting on trial a particularly nasty bitch shortly.
One and the same skdea. My computer crashed, I got it fixed and since so many people thought I was a Mexican horning in on their right to troll, I just decided to use my real first name.
Tear me a new asshole if you want, I am used to it.

So much for Republicans bringing back responsible government.

January 5th, 2006 at 11:25 amJCGOW,
the dnc site has a couple of petitions:
one for Alito, (”Just Say No to Alito”, I call it)
and one calling for impeachment.
If we all mosey on over there we could “kill two crooks with one stone”, as it were.
January 5th, 2006 at 11:33 amif NSA whistleblower Tice testifies against the White House, they’ll frame him as a disgruntled former employee… mark my words…
