#2 – Except that the US media is failing to report that Iran is interested in sitting down and talking about the situation. BushCo demands war. Not deplomacy.
The difference is that Iran actually does have a nuclear program and the US has less ability to do anything about it since we squandered the necessary resources in Iraq. Had the non-plan plan worked as unplanned in Iraq, the presence of a US “ally” on the Western border of Iran, would have been more of an intimidation factor. As it is,this is an exchange of bellicose rhetoric. The Iranians have decided, apparently, that military action is highly unlikely.
Yeah, the problem is that Bush is not providing any options and so Iran, and rightfully so, is standing their ground. It’s like a bully picking on another kid. If the other kid does nothing, then the bully will continue.
I would bet that if Bush would get off his lazy, money dripping, war driven, AS* and actually spend some time talking with them like a human being rather than a low life, things would work out just fine.
But Bush is going to force Iran to continue, and he is going to ignore everyone else and invade Iran. It is all written in the PNAC document. Iraq, Iran, Syria.
Michael Moore is now a prophet… He predicted this. Does it mean he’ll get his own religion, zealous fanatics and his own holier-than-thou book? He’ll be bummed.
So who do the Republicans think are going to fight this war??? The last time I looked out my office window at the Army recruiter’s office there was no line…

Agreed, Oddly though Rhea Shaz, said the Same thing, thru Think Tank Speech, the Iranians dont want war, or Military action, but that SHAZ wanted a Mullah Change.into a Democracy, of course SHAZ is an Edomite Puppet. Much like Mikihail Khodovorsky was
Michael Moore predicted it? PNAC’s goals are stated on their website, nothing to predict. It’s just that after the Iraq debacle and the thorough depletion of our armed forces the question was whether or not they’d be so stupid. I guess we have our answer now.
Bush the Anti-Christ.
Actually it fits, though I dont buy into that stuff, more like the Anarchist or The Synarchist, the anti-federalists.
Given the Falwellian Craziness of ‘Blow you up’ Bush and the other ‘Blowing’ crowd like O’lielly, or Robertson, Is it possible these people think that Armageddon will put him on the Throne?
These zionist agents, right wing inbred Bushites, and the right wing media are pushing us to the brink of hell…
The clear message they’re sending Iran (and countries of color across the globe) is nuclear weapons (military defensive dominance) is for WHITE and JEWISH people only…
The U.S. (with Bush’s preemptive doctrine) and EU (with their colonialist histories) have neither the moral high ground nor credibility to dictate to Iran or any other sovereign nation whether or not they can acquire nuclear weapons…
China and the South American, Russian and Middle Eastern countries like Iran and Syria are forming counter coalitions to the aggressive Brit and American-led coalitions…
This scenario does not bode well for any of us, and can only be short circuited by regime change here in America…
the right wing WASP male dominated government is leading us into Armageddon…
1) the natural resource uranium within it’s own borders
2) the technical expertise & equipment to enrich raw U
3) working nuclear reactors
They are also reputed to have a Cheyanne Mtn type thing where they have facilities if we bomb their above ground facilities (Stargate fans?).
The current nut running Iran isn’t someone I trust. The Iranian people, I generally do. I’m not even all that afraid of the mullahs as news reports have stated they are afraid of the current president as well.
We can slow them by bombing. I think it’s in our long term interest to ask them to join “The Club”. They’re gonna have the capability to refine to weapons grade whether or not we want them to. They will whether or not we want them to. I’d prefer to do it from the civilized side.
I’m waiting to see what those that want to bomb them back to the stone age will say about this. My question to you would be,”that’s temporary, do you want a nuclear power who has a big grievance with us?”.
Well, Iran has 4 times the population of Iraq, is a land full of mountains, while the Iraq territory is mostly a barren desert, and have a ready military (you remember Iraq’s one was depleted after ten years of embargo?).
So prepare to multiply per 4 your deficit, your military deployed, the time (let’s make 12 years to reach the status of today’s Iraq), the price of oil. Oh, and divide per 4 the number of countries and foreing soldiers in the next “Coalition of the Bribed”.
That would create a corridor between the Iraq, Iran and Afghanistan that would help enormously the movement of insurgents. And don’t forget the number of borders you will need to control: only Iran has borders with 8 countries.
Except Iran really is enriching uranium, and the IAEA agrees with our intel this time.

…and your point is inbred?
Any country on this Earth that doesn’t understand that the only way their country’s sovereignty (and people) are safe from imperialism and preemptive strike is the acquisition of nuclear weapons, is a country that is asking to be subjugated, dominated and dictated to by the racist, right wing, facist aggressors of America, GB, and Israel primarily and their lap dogs at the UN and EU…
1) Push claims of necessary military action
2) Attack critics of said policy
3) Lead the nation into war
4) Spend billions of dollars
5) Get into a quagmire
6) Cut and run
7) Profit
8) Go back to step 1
They’d kick our soldiers asses. Patriots vs. Bush beurocrats? Perhaps a real war would drive home the fact that the “War on Terror” is only an excuse to spy on Americans. But I don’t think the abused, misguided, damaged American military can handle a real fight. They can’t handle back wood Islamo-goobers with homemade bombs.
#10 he has to say that he is a war president continually ad nausea. Being a war time leader is the only justification he has for seizing power the way he has over the years. His view of the constitution has presidential power trumping all else during wartime. To ever say that we are nto at war would be to give up these percieved powers. That’s why he says over and over that he is a war president and that the war will go on for years, thus the police state powers will go on for years in his mind.
It does however provide a way to draw down the troops in Iraq…send them to Iran.
Due to King Georgies Advenrure in Iraq, the USA doesn’t have the military force left to invade Iran. Even with another coalition of the bought off (Yaaaay, Tuvalu… your moral support is greatly appreciated, the king will remember your kindness). With out a draft, which King Georgie said he’d “never do” there can be no invasion of Iran. If there is a draft, that will cause all of the people who have been “retecent” about the war to finally realize their asses are on the line, and start to protest. Let’s hope it’s all before the midterm elections. It’ll kill the Repubes chances of even getting elected dog catcher.
That’s so funny. The Iraq and Iran situations are nothing alike because Iraq had no nukes, no WMDs, nothing.
Who the heck are we going to send to fight in Iran? Our armed forces are tapped between Iraq and all the other deployments around the world. No one wants to enlist because of Iraq and now because of Iran. Is it drafty in here or is it just me?
It’s almost as if what the Evil B*****ds really want is more of this:
A June 2005 document by the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command in Iraq described its investigation into suspected abuse of a detainee captured in January 2004 by Task Force 6-26 in Tikrit, deposed President
Saddam Hussein’s hometown. His name was redacted, but he was mentioned as the son of a Saddam bodyguard.
The man was taken to Baghdad international airport, documents stated. The United States maintains a prison there for “high-value” detainees.
He told Army investigators that U.S. personnel forced him one night to remove his clothes, walk into walls with a box over his head connected to a rope around his neck, punched him in the spinal area until he fainted, placed him in front of an air conditioner while cold water was poured on him, and kicked him in the stomach until he vomited, the documents stated…
Same situation? You mean a bunch of dumb rednecks are running around like chickens without heads screaming about how the Witchita mini-mall is gonna get all blowed up?
[...] The full-on bloodthirsty pro-Iranian war drumbeats picked up noticeably in volume today. Watch as the chickenhawk drumbeats get louder and louder. [...]
As the exposure of domestic spying and Republican corruption increases, so does the need to take us to war to deflect and distract from their crimes. They are “all in”…The Republican Corporate Media are pounding the drums for war because they have to subjugate the growing anti-Republican majority at home.
They lose control of the government, they get tried for war crimes.
“Iran Situation Similar to Iraq In 2002 & 2003″
This is mind boggling, even coming from Pox. If the situation was the same, that would seem to undercut any arguments put forward RE military actions against Iran, if not any actions at all. Do these people ever check anything they run, or do they just rely on the short memories of their viewers?
Iran is in the driver’s seat here. The US is bogged down in Iraq. The new Iraqi govt. is friendly to Iran. Iran has 5% of the world’s oil. China does business with Iran. Russia does business with Iran. No one believes the US on anything any more.
If and when the U.S., loses much more of its industrial production, then to maintain its standards and standing, it must control natural resources in the Middle East and South America and other locations with the tacit agreement from the EU in order to contain China and the far East.
In other, very different, words: the American elite has sold out America and its people.
Well, I guess we should invade Iran then. Oh heck let’s just make it Syria as well. Now that I think of it, Mexico AND Canada. Just to protect our borders, of course. They won’t mind. Shoot, even if they do it’s in their best interest. Seems simple to me. Even Ann agrees.
Coulter “I think the government should be spying on all Arabs, engaging in torture as a televised spectator sport, dropping daisy cutters wantonly throughout the Middle East and sending liberals to Guantanamo.”

And from the trumpetting of the neocons, it’s as if 20% of the people in this country actually want him to start another war. They only think as far as the end of the quarter… quarterly profits and results. If he starts another war, his regime will have officially destroyed what Jefferson, Franklin and Paine set out to create. Sad.
I think it’s time to euthanize old chimp… he’s rabid and foaming at the mouth looking for fresh blood…
If the situation in Iran is similar to “Iraq In 2002 and 2003″ we can safely expect prevarications, lies, and distortions regarding Iran as well.
In case there is still any doubt left: James Risen’s State of War: the Secret History of the CIA and the Bush Administration, may hold bigger secrets than the disclosure that President George W. Bush authorized warrantless eavesdropping on Americans. (…) The result is that it is no longer credible to maintain that the failures in the Iraqi intelligence were the product of a broken intelligence community. The Bush administration deliberately fabricated the case against Iraq, lying to Congress and the American people along the way.” Proof Bush Deceived America
It’s obvious what facts will be “fixed around the policy” this time around: The fact that Iran has a nuclear programme. Never mind that it is peaceful, and Iranians are entitled to generate their energy as they very well please.
Beware the calls for something “be done about Iran”.
These are the times that try men’s souls. Bush wants Iran to be next. This monster has to be stopped. With Alito (who’s sure to be in lockstep) what can we do? I feel so powerless as I watch our rights go down the tubes. Will he also attempt to take over that country and occupy it? Bush’s war machine will soon be turned on Americans. If there is any dissent we can now be arrested under an executive order signed by Bush today. All freedon loving people should be very afraid of what is next.
Fox News: “Iran Situation Similar to Iraq In 2002 & 2003″ .
So, in other words, Iran has no WMD’s and the Bush administration is trying to push a phony rational for war with Iran?

#40 – there was just a story about mass purchases of tracfones in California and Texas, possibly for the use of terrorist attacks. The article even went so far as to say that the purchasers in Texas were from “Iran and Pakistan”. How would any of us really know what country they were from. The spin begins.
Bush is a failure as his wars are failures. He’s brought the United States to the lowest point in it’s history and we have a long way left to fall under this Presidents policys. If we had tried to negotiat with Iran instead of threatening them this would have never happened. Iran is a soverign nation with every right to enrich uranium. They stopped voluntarily because we used compromise and diplomacy which are not valued by Bush. The Neocons have a plan and it’s to take this country straight to hell through endless war and Bush seizing imperial power. They are fascists and They’ll make their money along the way regardless.
PNAC/AEI reasons for war:
1. Oil (without it economy collapse)
2. Permanent military bases (for protection of 1 and further wars in the middle-east)
3. Directly connected to 1 and 2: Global dominance
4. Israel
5. Petrodollar (Iran is about to switch to Euro. Iraq did the same in 2000)
Iran (unlike Israel, North Korea, India and Pakistan — to name a few) is a long way from having nukes. But, as Justin Raimondo wrote, and to paraphrase big papa, “Our foreign policy of global aggression accelerates the natural inclination of states to arm themselves to the teeth, thus fostering the nuclear arms race: preemption precipitates proliferation.” http://www.anti-war.com/justin/?articleid=8383
Yes, Mikey, if the oil market changes to the strong euro from the weak dollar the US economy goes straight down the toilet.
“The Iranians are about to commit an ‘offense’ far greater than Saddam Hussein’s conversion to the euro of Iraq’s oil exports in the fall of 2000. Numerous articles have revealed Pentagon planning for operations against Iran as early as 2005. While the publicly stated reasons will be over Iran’s nuclear ambitions, there are unspoken macroeconomic drivers explaining the Real Reasons regarding the 2nd stage of petrodollar warfare – Iran’s upcoming euro-based oil Bourse.”
Fox News: “Iran Situation Similar to Iraq In 2002 & 2003″. So, in other words, Iran has no WMD’s and the Bush administration is trying to push a phony rational for war with Iran?
Good one, Dana! All I can say right now is “please, God, not again”. We’re not that stupid as to let him do this again, are we? Please, someone tell me we’re not…anyone?
Bush is cutting aid for Africa and insisting that money for AIDs treatment not be linked with medical facilities providing contraception or abortion? That means that death and famine in Africa will skyrocket. Woohoo! Death and Famine are signs of the end times.
Bush is committed to war around the planet so he can steal oil? Yippee! War is another of the four horsemen.
Bush is raping the environment by destroying EPA protections? Yep, another sign.
Bush is an evil, cruel, corrupt bastard? He must be the anti-christ. And, as we all know, the end-times don’t start until the anti-christ appears.
No wonder the Talebangelicals strongly support Bush. With Bush in power, Armageddon is sure to happen soon. The fact that he is more anti-christ than true Christian merely makes their support all the stronger.
The Bush cabal believed that a Blitzkreig assault on Iraq would be just the first stage in storm-trooping their way through the Middle East, toppling one dictatorial, right-wing regime after another (except for the Bush family pals in Saudi Arabia). Then our troops got bogged down in the hard slog of Iraq. But their goal stills remains the same.
So, the Bush cabal wants to downsize our ground forces in Iraq, through the training of Iraqis for ground work and through the increased use of U.S. air power.
On the other hand, apparently, the Bush cabal, the British (Blair) and the Israelis believe that an air assault on IRAN will do the trick, destroying any suspected Iranian nuclear weapons sites.
However, how much do you want to bet that the Bush cabal will use small, tactical nukes to neutralize any suspected Iranian nuke sites?
What? The Bush administration show restraint? Who are you kidding?
I figure the Bush cabal will think that using our nukes to destroy the Iranian nuclear ambitions will be poetic justice. And any Iranian site hit with one of our nukes will be unusable for a long, long time.
Of course, delivery of these small, tactical nukes will be through laser-guided bombs dropped from our war planes…and by nuclear-tipped cruise missiles.
One problem.
Cruise missiles have a tendency to sometimes miss their intended target and land somewhere else. So what happens if one of the cruise missiles launched against a suspected Iranian nuclear hard site…and close to a population center…veers off course? Oh, a whole lot of innocent Iranian citizens will be killed. Tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands.
But we already know the Bush cabal has no problem with a little “collateral” damage in their imperial conquests. Just look at the recent revelations about the war plan in Iraq. Just look at the “collateral” damage they’ve done to the U.S. Constitution, the Bill of Rights and the system of checks and balances which traditinally have been the great strength of our democracy.
But, people are beginning to realize, I believe, that we are not dealing with completely sane people in the Bush cabal. Which is why I arrived at this completely insane scenario for when, not if, the Bush cabal launches their attack against Iran. The Bush Blitzkreig must continue, you see. The Bush juggernaut must keep moving on its appointed rounds through the Middle East, liberating the oil…er, bringing freedom and democracy to that region.
What a bunch of evil, little people the Bush cabal really are. And completely insane as well.
I’ve been writing letters and signing petitions under the premise that the pen is mighter than the sword… And thought I will cling to that belief for the majority of endeavors, I no longer feel it is making swift enough progress to keep up with the enormous sword the Bush junta is wielding, and swinging without regard or recognition of the consequences. These people are manical and dangerous and need to be removed from power.
Does anyone have any valid suggestions for pushing this into a higher, but still non-violent gear than petitions and emails? I’m willing to do something. I just don’t know what, and would welcome any recommendations from other progressives…
Though I will say, we don’t seem to have cohesion(strentgh in numbers) of people who have had enough yet and are willing to take action… and perhaps just getting that message out to the masses is some place to start? But how to trump their daily dose of local propagandized “news” | entertainment?
I wish you Americans would just stay in America …….were a lot closer to Iran ……….your really gonna start a major war …….70 million American haters mostly of a young age, a good military , mountainous terrain ,,youll get your asses kicked here, I believe they can have a N-bomb if they want too there not copyrighted and noone in the world should poccess these weapons unless you aim to bully the rest of the world by having one,,,leave them alone or ban the bomb worldwide …….they got cruise missiles with high explosives aimed at Saudi if you do
You can’t win this one. We have neither the money, troops nor the will to go into Iran. Even if we just bomb them they are committed to attacking our troops in Iraq and bombing Israel in retaliation. From Indonesia to the balkans the Moslems will rise against Dittohead America and Tony Blair. In the meantime all the rest of the anti-American and anti- Israel world will smile and wait for the big bully to lose enough blood so they can attack too. And what about the price of oil during all this fun? $5.00 a gallon?
Nice going Bush. Single handedly you’ve ruined my country.
another 18 civillians killed in Pakistan when the media claims this morning there after bin ladens second in command ??????missed him again for the 3 time …WHAT A MESS AMERICA IS MAKING ………according to the UN even flting a drone on foreign soil is an act of War……Bugger off the lot of you you disgust me
Hey, Flying Scotman – it’s not the whole of America doing this is the Bush Regime. Please differentiate. What you’re stating is not much different than what we oppose. This site exists because the majority of the people are against his administration’s actions.
Yes Bush and his CIA fool Porter Goss are killing innocent people in our name! The drone attack on Pakistan is a violation of International Law and considered an act of war!
To, bad for coward U.S. bombers – Iran can take them out. Moreover Irans rockets can even destroy U.S. coward carriers.
Iran got in 2004 the latest drone technology from Israel – you heart it right: Israel. Iran will not be as stupid as Iraq and disarm on U.N. request, in order to get bombed by coward U.S. airforce.
To, bad for American nazi troops the real Vietnam with real weapons and no support of Holywood is just around the corner. Burn America burn.
What we have here is actually the cracks in the American dominated economic New World Order are becoming obvious to the masses, not enough oil to go around so Bush and Co. are attempting to grab all they can, but so is China and China has many connections with Iran and they will not sit idely by and let us disrupt the oil supplies their economy needs for the growth. Second with the outsourcing of the underpinnings of our industrial base to places like china, gearing up for a large scale war which an invasion of Iran would intail could prove difficult if not impossible. Attacking Iran would push the reminents of the Taliban and Al quaeda into alliance with Iran. Our theater of operations would strech from the Syrian border in Iraq to the uncontrolled border between Afganistan and Pakistan. Musharif would either have to renounce ties with the US or he faces a probable revolution at home. Given this senario I don’t think he would remain on our side. Moving on Iran could start a series of nreaction the would mirror the stumble Europe took into WW1. But this time the situatio facing the US would look more like the situation facing Germany. Not enough recorces at home and not enough military to actually win the war.
An addendum to the above….. The US gets its oil from three major foriegn suppliers Canada, Mexico, and Venezula. The third, Venezula has a President that is not too thrilled with the history of the US attempts to controll the Americas. He has formed ties with Cuba, Bolivia (whiched just elected a left leaning president) and China. If we attempted to invade Iran all Mr. Chaves The President of Venezula has to do is imbargo shipments to the US and the price of oil would skyrocket here, can we say 7-10 dollars for gas when available. The goberment would have to ration just like they did in WW2. Other prices would go up because of transportation issues, but don’t expect the right wingers who controll the majority of industry to raise wages. Also given the needs of the military in the middle east and the need of the national guard to control the crumbling situation at home Bush could declare martial law. With a stacked supreme court he doesn’t have to worry about his actions declared unconstintutional, and the rubber stamp that the repub congress has become will not challange either.
I base my thoughts on the 13 years I was in the military which taught me to look at the whole picture and attempt to limit the weakness, and defend those areas that will definately result in defeat. I studied military history and some political history in order to learn what trends reappear over and over in conflicts and what trends that lead to victory or defeat. The road of an expanding number of actual battle fields is almost a guarentee of eventual defeat because no nation or military can feild an ever increasing military. Germany learned this fact the hard way in two seperate world wars. When we were in Afganistan only we had no military stress and were able to prevail there. We had the military capability to overpower the Iraqi military but have been learning the lessons an the occupier that germany learned in WW2. The locals do not like to be occupied and a significant number will resist. At this time we are at the limit of the American military unless we change our recruiting proceedures. If bush deciedes to invade Iran we would need almost double the military we have in order to sucessfully occupy Iraq and Iran, protect the oil infrastructure and protect the homeland. This buildup can not be acomplished overnight, and if Rummy thinks the Iranian will collapse as quickly as Iraq he is saddly mistaken. Iran has not been subjected to economic sanctions for over a decade, and we haven’t been able to softern up their military defences under the No Fly Zone violations. The war with Iran would be much bloodier and harder than anything we have faced since vietnam. The public here doesn’t have the patience nor does Bushco have the credibility left to pull this off with out a much larger public backlash.( which could resemble the antiwar movement of the 69-74) If the draft is reinstated this would lead to more dissatisfaction with the war and given the economic policies necessary to prosecute the war would also lead to martial law.
Mission Accomplished War president Spymaster does not command enough troops to occupy Iran as troops occupy Iraq. Junior&The WHIGs really don’t care about the U.N(cf. John Bolton), so to 3 card monty the home audience in the run up to the mid term elections, we can expect a protracted series of “surgical” air strikes, reinforced by the relentless image of a “cerebrally enhanced” bomb entering and exploding down the same old chimney. Ungulates will eat it up, chew their cud, belch, fart then blink vacuously expecting more. And who are Junior&The WHIGs to disappoint them. Where war is showbizz, Iran’s in the can, man.
The third, Venezula has a President that is not too thrilled with the history of the US attempts to controll the Americas. He has formed ties with Cuba, Bolivia (whiched just elected a left leaning president) and China. If we attempted to invade Iran all Mr. Chaves The President of Venezula has to do is imbargo shipments to the US and the price of oil would skyrocket here, can we say 7-10 dollars for gas when available

Comment by Guenter — January 15, 2006 @ 1:59 am
***** My Dear Guenther, I visited the site you link to -your advocacy for “World Peace” sure flies in the face of your exhortation “Burn America burn”. Your hypocrisy is glaring – but not surprising coming from the radical Left. The only consolation for conservatives is the inability of many on the left to shoot straight – go smoke another bowl.
The wingnuts are all just bluster. There is no way they can invade Iran. They don’t have the troops, they don’t have the material, and they’re fighting a desperate rearguard action in Iraq as it is. If anyone doesn’t realize that Boy George is insane by now, they better wake up.
I read some of these posts… um, we are talking to Iran, as well as other natians. Iran keeps saying the same thing “We’re not going to make nuclear weapons, we’re not going to stop.” But intelligence from all over the world, yes, that includes US intelligence, says otherwise. Thats why its a ’scare’. Not a ‘lets invade’. Its making us nervous. Worried. Anxious. Of course, the liberal news media won’t report it, because everyone knows they just want us to dismantle all our WMDs are join the European Union and start taking orders from France. Uh, not gonna happen.
Thank you FOX NEWS for the fair and balanced reporting. I’m not saying those who posted here have to be on the right side, but just remember that other news networks dont’ always tell the whole story. FOX never said we should invade Iran from what I saw. Infact, we shouldn’t right now. It wouldn’t solve anything at all. If they continue to disobey international pleas, the UN might get involved. That won’t solve anything, it never does. So then the US may get involved then with shock and awe bombings to send a message. Thats about all that can possibly happen, but even thats unlikely. Think about it.
US don’t need to invade Iran. Just need to freeze the Iran oil exportation. Take it off the market. Like the Iraki one. Exploitation can resume decennies from now. Then the price of the baril can go through the roof. No worries, market will adjust and the major oil player can then beat their last year recors profits, without doing anything more than what they already do. It’s just business. No expensive invasion this time. A “mininuke” will do. The special troups are already on the field. Thanks to Rumsfeld new warfare design, it is now allowed and “legal”. Of course muslim world will get really pissed off after that, and “any” american will become fair game all around the planet. Then only the global terror game can become a complete reality and go full speed, opposants to the war on terror can be round-up in stadium and silenced. Bigger chunk of national budget will go for the intelligence & military industry. The medias will arrange the rest. War time. Dissidents are ennemies. The recipe has been working for year, in South America, Africa, Middle East and Asia, in the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s. Ask the CIA. It is just changing scale and coming home. By the way, go get some real infos, there is absolutly NO PROOF of any nuclear weapon program in Iran. Only Bush’s word. But do we really need more.
We should have finished off Iran before we went to Iraq!
But they finally got their act together, and within a few months we will be at war with Iran.
And to those who debate the fact if Iran has Nuclear weapons, remember this… The 9/11 hijackers didn’t have nuclear weapons either and still managed to inflict massive amount of death to the US.
Iran may or may not have nuclear weapons…. but honestly… WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE Iran openly vows for the destruction and killing of Israel and the US
The statement/cooment by Delabarre that, “Except Iran really is enriching uranium, and the IAEA agrees with our intel this time,” is a total lie. The IAEA has never said or even found any proof that the Iran has a miltary nuclear agenda. After 3 years of searching nothing has turned up, nor will there be any evidence. From time to time the U.S. government tries to pass phony evidence like lab tops with prints for a nuclear bomb which are not taken as reliable. Anybody can find information on making a nuclear bomb off the net. I invite you to try it right after. Iran has not violated the Non-Proliferation Treaty, but France, Britain and AMerica have and continue to do so. Britain is talking about updating its weapons even though the whole point of the NPT is to start disarming nuclear nations and stop the prolliferation of nuclear weapons. There is no need for the British to have them, The United States on the other hand is building new nuclear weapons and has not kept to its treaty obligations of disarming and has offered India nuclear technology in what is surely a bribe in the IAEA vote against Iran. India is not a part of the NPT and is not suppose to be given dual-use technology.

Why is it that the US military’s use of napalm in Fallujah is a surprise? It does symbolize whopping moral hypocrisy in that the US government insisted the casus belli for invading Iraq was that country’s asserted possession of weapons of mass destruction; so what does the US military do? They use the self-same weapons on Iraqi civilians: napalm is a banned chemical weapon. Not to mention the shells of depleted uranium, which is a crime against humanity, which have been used on the Iraqis, the Yugoslavians, and in the Balkans.
Americans are being lied to by the Bush Admiinistration again. I advise everyone here to check on the euro-based Iranian oil exchange due to open in March of 2006.
Iranians have no hate for Americans, but the U.S. federal government is run by corporate criminals who build a debt which the nation has to pay back to their banker friends and associates and foreigners like China. the leaders of America by more weapons and military hardware from the companies they themselves own and bill it to American taxpayers. These wars are not for democracy, they are for money, the root of all evil. People and natios do not go to war they are led to war by leaders. The American and Iranian people are both peace loving people. I wish that some Americans would wake up and see past the American ruling elites’ lies and manipulation.
I’m from Iran/Tehran,for me it’s fine to see American soldier here, helping us to achieve Democracy and Freedom,I think United States has right to attack Iran, because these mullahs are not our elected government,i even did not vote yet,as President Bush said they really KILL and TORTUR Iranian people and you never see any of them taking responsibility for anything in the world and for their own people, they are the biggest supporter of Terrorist in the WORLD,they have hidden their nuclear activity for 18 YEARSSSSSSSS.they said several times before that if we have a Nuclear Bomb then no one can attack us or blame us for HUMAN RIGHTS,and they can remain in power for more years.i just know that all the problem that US is facing in Iraq is just because of mullahs, they know if Iraq getting stable condition then they will be the next target.
people of Iran want the WORLD and specialy United States Help them to take mullahs down.for me,the world without Mullahs is safer place.pres Bush is right, let him go.
Mehrad is not from Iran. Those are th comments of someone pretending to be Iranian. Iranians like Americans but they do not want interferance in their country.
Miracles occur naturally as expressions of love. The real miracle is the love that inspires them. In this sense everything that comes from love is a miracle
news that makes cheney drool….yeah..attack Iran and make more money!
January 13th, 2006 at 12:29 pmExcept Iran really is enriching uranium, and the IAEA agrees with our intel this time.
January 13th, 2006 at 12:33 pm… and thus begins the drum beat for more war. It’s a sad day for the human race. Really. It is.
January 13th, 2006 at 12:33 pmWell then that means Iran is no threat and has no WMD. Whew.. you had me worried for a second there.
January 13th, 2006 at 12:34 pm#2 – Except that the US media is failing to report that Iran is interested in sitting down and talking about the situation. BushCo demands war. Not deplomacy.
January 13th, 2006 at 12:34 pmThe difference is that Iran actually does have a nuclear program and the US has less ability to do anything about it since we squandered the necessary resources in Iraq.
January 13th, 2006 at 12:36 pmIran is laughing at us.
January 13th, 2006 at 12:37 pmI would like to think that americans followed the doctrine of fool me twice, shame on me but then how do we explain 11-02-04?
I guess Oceania has always been at war with Iran.
January 13th, 2006 at 12:37 pmYeah, the problem is that Bush is not providing any options and so Iran, and rightfully so, is standing their ground.
January 13th, 2006 at 12:38 pmOnly honest thing Bush has ever said was that he is the War President… Apparently, that one time he was sincere.
January 13th, 2006 at 12:38 pmMichael Moore is now a prophet… He predicted this. Does it mean he’ll get his own religion, zealous fanatics and his own holier-than-thou book? He’ll be bummed.
January 13th, 2006 at 12:41 pmSo who do the Republicans think are going to fight this war??? The last time I looked out my office window at the Army recruiter’s office there was no line…

Agreed, Oddly though Rhea Shaz, said the Same thing, thru Think Tank Speech, the Iranians dont want war, or Military action, but that SHAZ wanted a Mullah Change.into a Democracy, of course SHAZ is an Edomite Puppet. Much like Mikihail Khodovorsky was
POLITYIV continues…
January 13th, 2006 at 12:44 pmMichael Moore predicted it? PNAC’s goals are stated on their website, nothing to predict. It’s just that after the Iraq debacle and the thorough depletion of our armed forces the question was whether or not they’d be so stupid. I guess we have our answer now.
January 13th, 2006 at 12:45 pmI was making a joke Jay…
January 13th, 2006 at 12:47 pmBush the Anti-Christ.
With the ‘Crazies’ you just never know.
January 13th, 2006 at 12:52 pmI think we know what Karl’s campaign issue for 2006 is.
January 13th, 2006 at 12:52 pmMaybe we can Cut and Run and go get our ass kicked by someone else? Repent!
January 13th, 2006 at 12:53 pmThese zionist agents, right wing inbred Bushites, and the right wing media are pushing us to the brink of hell…
Kill it (politically) before it grows any bigger…
January 13th, 2006 at 12:55 pmIran has:
January 13th, 2006 at 12:57 pmWell, Iran has 4 times the population of Iraq, is a land full of mountains, while the Iraq territory is mostly a barren desert, and have a ready military (you remember Iraq’s one was depleted after ten years of embargo?).
If you think Iraq is hard, just wait.
January 13th, 2006 at 12:58 pmExcept Iran really is enriching uranium, and the IAEA agrees with our intel this time.

January 13th, 2006 at 12:59 pm#12- It looks like the draft will be coming back to have enough troops to fight these neocon wars.

January 13th, 2006 at 1:05 pmI just heard Cheney singing this today…..
“Here comes the draft…doo doo doo doo
Here comes the draft and I say its alright
Draft, draft, draft here it comes
Draft, draft, draft here it comes”
dont forget Jonah the draft age is at least 38 so your sorry ass better clean up that kid of yours, put away the keyboard and grab a gun….
I would love a list of all the Rethug Spin artist who would be eligible for the draft
Here is a rough list
Michelle Malkin
Rich Lowry
Jonah Goldberg
Ann Coulter
Ken Mehlman (38?)
Ed Gillespie (40?)
can you think of any others????
January 13th, 2006 at 1:06 pmThey’d kick our soldiers asses.
January 13th, 2006 at 1:07 pmbureaucrat~
January 13th, 2006 at 1:09 pm#10 he has to say that he is a war president continually ad nausea.
January 13th, 2006 at 1:09 pmoh so you mean we are being lied to about a non-existent threat?
January 13th, 2006 at 1:09 pmis anyone really surprised at this?
January 13th, 2006 at 1:17 pmThat’s so funny.
January 13th, 2006 at 1:24 pmFox “fear channel” is pushing that fear to it’s audience, look at the caption.
January 13th, 2006 at 1:57 pmIt’s almost as if what the Evil B*****ds really want is more of this:
[from: http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20060113/us_nm/iraq_abuse_taskforce_dc ]

January 13th, 2006 at 2:02 pmwe can see that, and it’s scary… we can’t fight on two fronts when we’re barely breaking even on one… draft anyone?

They lose control of the government, they get tried for war crimes.
January 13th, 2006 at 2:18 pm“Iran Situation Similar to Iraq In 2002 & 2003″
January 13th, 2006 at 2:19 pmThis is mind boggling, even coming from Pox. If the situation was the same, that would seem to undercut any arguments put forward RE military actions against Iran, if not any actions at all. Do these people ever check anything they run, or do they just rely on the short memories of their viewers?
Rapture.
January 13th, 2006 at 2:29 pmIran is in the driver’s seat here. The US is bogged down in Iraq. The new Iraqi govt. is friendly to Iran. Iran has 5% of the world’s oil. China does business with Iran. Russia does business with Iran. No one believes the US on anything any more.
January 13th, 2006 at 2:40 pmIf and when the U.S., loses much more of its industrial production, then to maintain its standards and standing, it must control natural resources in the Middle East and South America and other locations with the tacit agreement from the EU in order to contain China and the far East.

January 13th, 2006 at 3:09 pmWell, I guess we should invade Iran then. Oh heck let’s just make it Syria as well. Now that I think of it, Mexico AND Canada. Just to protect our borders, of course. They won’t mind. Shoot, even if they do it’s in their best interest. Seems simple to me. Even Ann agrees.

January 13th, 2006 at 3:24 pmunbelievable – Could’t we give the chimp a break and just impeach and sterilize him?
January 13th, 2006 at 3:27 pmIf the situation in Iran is similar to “Iraq In 2002 and 2003″ we can safely expect prevarications, lies, and distortions regarding Iran as well.
In case there is still any doubt left:
James Risen’s State of War: the Secret History of the CIA and the Bush Administration, may hold bigger secrets than the disclosure that President George W. Bush authorized warrantless eavesdropping on Americans. (…) The result is that it is no longer credible to maintain that the failures in the Iraqi intelligence were the product of a broken intelligence community. The Bush administration deliberately fabricated the case against Iraq, lying to Congress and the American people along the way.”
Proof Bush Deceived America
It’s obvious what facts will be “fixed around the policy” this time around: The fact that Iran has a nuclear programme. Never mind that it is peaceful, and Iranians are entitled to generate their energy as they very well please.
Beware the calls for something “be done about Iran”.
January 13th, 2006 at 3:33 pmThese are the times that try men’s souls.

#40 – there was just a story about mass purchases of tracfones in California and Texas, possibly for the use of terrorist attacks. The article even went so far as to say that the purchasers in Texas were from “Iran and Pakistan”. How would any of us really know what country they were from. The spin begins.
I’ll get the link as soon as I can.
January 13th, 2006 at 5:16 pmBush is a failure as his wars are failures.

January 13th, 2006 at 5:34 pmPNAC/AEI reasons for war:
January 13th, 2006 at 7:09 pm1. Oil (without it economy collapse)
2. Permanent military bases (for protection of 1 and further wars in the middle-east)
3. Directly connected to 1 and 2: Global dominance
4. Israel
5. Petrodollar (Iran is about to switch to Euro. Iraq did the same in 2000)
It’s not just about nukes. Check out item #9 in this article…. http://www.sfbg.com/39/49/cover_censored.html
January 13th, 2006 at 7:09 pmIran (unlike Israel, North Korea, India and Pakistan — to name a few) is a long way from having nukes. But, as Justin Raimondo wrote, and to paraphrase big papa, “Our foreign policy of global aggression accelerates the natural inclination of states to arm themselves to the teeth, thus fostering the nuclear arms race: preemption precipitates proliferation.”
January 13th, 2006 at 7:53 pmhttp://www.anti-war.com/justin/?articleid=8383

January 13th, 2006 at 7:59 pmGood one, Dana! All I can say right now is “please, God, not again”. We’re not that stupid as to let him do this again, are we? Please, someone tell me we’re not…anyone?
January 13th, 2006 at 9:05 pmThe end-times crazies are sucking this up.
January 13th, 2006 at 10:27 pm“Where do you want us to run to when the bombs start falling?” – iranian citizen not involved in any of this.
January 13th, 2006 at 11:24 pmNow if everyone will get down on their knees and pray…
January 13th, 2006 at 11:37 pmThe Bush cabal believed that a Blitzkreig assault on Iraq would be just the first stage in storm-trooping their way through the Middle East, toppling one dictatorial, right-wing regime after another (except for the Bush family pals in Saudi Arabia).
January 14th, 2006 at 12:51 amI’ve been writing letters and signing petitions under the premise that the pen is mighter than the sword… And thought I will cling to that belief for the majority of endeavors, I no longer feel it is making swift enough progress to keep up with the enormous sword the Bush junta is wielding, and swinging without regard or recognition of the consequences.
January 14th, 2006 at 7:50 amI wish you Americans would just stay in America …….were a lot closer to Iran ……….your really gonna start a major war …….70 million American haters mostly of a young age, a good military , mountainous terrain ,,youll get your asses kicked here, I believe they can have a N-bomb if they want too there not copyrighted and noone in the world should poccess these weapons unless you aim to bully the rest of the world by having one,,,leave them alone or ban the bomb worldwide …….they got cruise missiles with high explosives aimed at Saudi if you do
January 14th, 2006 at 9:48 amYou can’t win this one.
January 14th, 2006 at 11:12 amNice going Bush. Single handedly you’ve ruined my country.
another 18 civillians killed in Pakistan when the media claims this morning there after bin ladens second in command ??????missed him again for the 3 time …WHAT A MESS AMERICA IS MAKING ………according to the UN even flting a drone on foreign soil is an act of War……Bugger off the lot of you you disgust me
January 14th, 2006 at 1:05 pmHey, Flying Scotman – it’s not the whole of America doing this is the Bush Regime. Please differentiate. What you’re stating is not much different than what we oppose. This site exists because the majority of the people are against his administration’s actions.
January 14th, 2006 at 1:50 pmYes Bush and his CIA fool Porter Goss are killing innocent people in our name! The drone attack on Pakistan is a violation of International Law and considered an act of war!
January 15th, 2006 at 1:47 amTo, bad for coward U.S. bombers – Iran can take them out. Moreover Irans rockets can even destroy U.S. coward carriers.
January 15th, 2006 at 1:59 amIran got in 2004 the latest drone technology from Israel – you heart it right: Israel.
January 15th, 2006 at 2:38 amAn addendum to the above…..
January 15th, 2006 at 2:56 amI base my thoughts on the 13 years I was in the military which taught me to look at the whole picture and attempt to limit the weakness, and defend those areas that will definately result in defeat.
January 15th, 2006 at 3:22 amMission Accomplished War president Spymaster does not command enough troops to occupy Iran as troops occupy Iraq.

January 18th, 2006 at 3:55 pmI read some of these posts… um, we are talking to Iran, as well as other natians.
January 26th, 2006 at 11:32 pmUS don’t need to invade Iran.
January 28th, 2006 at 10:12 amWe should have finished off Iran before we went to Iraq!
But they finally got their act together, and within a few months we will be at war with Iran.
And to those who debate the fact if Iran has Nuclear weapons, remember this… The 9/11 hijackers didn’t have nuclear weapons either and still managed to inflict massive amount of death to the US.
Iran may or may not have nuclear weapons…. but honestly… WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE Iran openly vows for the destruction and killing of Israel and the US
NUKE EM BACK TO THE STONE AGE!!
February 4th, 2006 at 9:12 amThe statement/cooment by Delabarre that, “Except Iran really is enriching uranium, and the IAEA agrees with our intel this time,” is a total lie.

Iran is being slandered very bad.
February 7th, 2006 at 7:09 pmAmericans are being lied to by the Bush Admiinistration again. I advise everyone here to check on the euro-based Iranian oil exchange due to open in March of 2006.
February 7th, 2006 at 7:11 pmIranians have no hate for Americans, but the U.S. federal government is run by corporate criminals who build a debt which the nation has to pay back to their banker friends and associates and foreigners like China. the leaders of America by more weapons and military hardware from the companies they themselves own and bill it to American taxpayers. These wars are not for democracy, they are for money, the root of all evil. People and natios do not go to war they are led to war by leaders. The American and Iranian people are both peace loving people. I wish that some Americans would wake up and see past the American ruling elites’ lies and manipulation.
February 7th, 2006 at 7:20 pmHey its all confused, neither americans nor iranians know what is on, meanwhile others are making hay as the sun shines
February 8th, 2006 at 5:50 pmI’m from Iran/Tehran,for me it’s fine to see American soldier here, helping us to achieve Democracy and Freedom,I think United States has right to attack Iran, because these mullahs are not our elected government,i even did not vote yet,as President Bush said they really KILL and TORTUR Iranian people and you never see any of them taking responsibility for anything in the world and for their own people, they are the biggest supporter of Terrorist in the WORLD,they have hidden their nuclear activity for 18 YEARSSSSSSSS.they said several times before that if we have a Nuclear Bomb then no one can attack us or blame us for HUMAN RIGHTS,and they can remain in power for more years.i just know that all the problem that US is facing in Iraq is just because of mullahs, they know if Iraq getting stable condition then they will be the next target.
February 13th, 2006 at 9:49 ampeople of Iran want the WORLD and specialy United States Help them to take mullahs down.for me,the world without Mullahs is safer place.pres Bush is right, let him go.
Mehrad is not from Iran. Those are th comments of someone pretending to be Iranian. Iranians like Americans but they do not want interferance in their country.
February 25th, 2006 at 2:01 amIs anyone other than Fox News talking about this? If not, why are we so quick to believe them?
