Good for Gore! He’s not letting McClelland and Gonzales get away with distorting the facts once again. I’m glad he’s hitting back so quickly with the truth. Let’s see how McClellan dances around at tomorrow’s press conference and whether he’s allowed to get away with his snarky comments and smug “proud of himself” grin.
You go, Al! Way to slap them down. Why can’t all Dems react this way to misinformation and outright lies? Gone are the days when these buffoons can simply be ignored – an all-out assault must be waged so that the truth can reign supreme. John Murtha’s doing it, and now Al – are the Dems beginning to finally get smart? Here’s hoping!
I did want to say that anybody that only read the speech needs to watch the speech. This is very much not the robotic Gore that we saw during the 2000 election. It was awesome. I have never been a big Gore supporter, but that speech was moving. Flat out, you need to see, not just read it.
Believe it or not, in an article about the White House’s response to Gore’s speech (calling him a hypocrite), the AP actually followed up with this paragraph:
But at the time of the Ames search in 1993 and when Gorelick testified a year later, the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act required warrants for electronic surveillance for intelligence purposes, but did not cover physical searches. The law was changed to cover physical searches in 1995 under legislation that Clinton supported and signed.
I’m stunned – real reporting? Will wonders never cease. What do you say, trolls????? Oh, sorry … it’s that nasty liberal media again. :|
I don’t believe anyone is going to listen to him unless he has support from ALL the Dems on the hill. This gov’t needs to be ground to a screaching halt. Impeach the lunatics while we still have a Constitution to do it. Martial Law is only a breath away with these bastards, Then what will we do?
It amazes me that anyone would prefer Bush to Gore. Are there really that many brainwashed fools in this country? Gore is intelligent and well versed in American history and government. That so many Americans would prefer a “regular guy” “Christian” type guy like Bush despite his obvious lack of intelligence is really horrifying and is proving to be a catastrophic tragedy.
Get Gore out on the road, in front of audiences and cameras and microphones.

I agree with you all, but especially this – we can’t get lazy just because one amazing speech occurred. We need this monetum to keep moving and inspiring us to fight the good fight.
Gore would make an even better President now. One stolen election shouldn’t stop him either. Look at how many times Lincoln lost before he was elected and went down on books as one of the most historic leaders of our union. Perhaps knowing what he knows now is just what we need – experience and humility…
Who would have thought it?
The Dem to finally stand up and get some ba**s is
GORE?!
Strange days, indeed.
(Let’s hope this lights a fire under all Dems’ butts.)
#10 that is precisely the line of thinking IMHO that got the President elected twice.
If you continue to disparage a large portion of the electorate instead of offering concrete proposals to do it better, you get the results we’ve suffered in the last two elections and the previous Congressional elections.
FDR, JFK, Bill Clinton….look at their model vs the Gore, Moveon.org, Sheehan et al…..they won elections and governed to popular favor. I do fear the current Democratic Loyal opposition doesn’t approach that and allows Democrats to get painted as ’soft on crime’, ’soft on defense’ ‘gay friendly’ and any other Republican talking point.
al, don’t you dare fade back into the woodwork… you need to make sure you’re out front 24/7… you started this ball rolling and now you gotta keep it rolling… this is a good start… don’t stop, al… for god’s sake, don’t stop…
#16. I agree that it is not constructive to “disparage” so many people that voted for Bush. Nevertheless, after watching this latest Gore speech on C-Span, I was just struck by the crazy chasm separating the likes of Gore and Bush. I didn’t even vote for Gore (voted for Nader), thinking he was just your normal political insider. Also, I have found it sad that all we have to fight this recent Republican nightmare is the Democrats. But here it is: PLEASE! DEMOCRATS, PLEASE! SAVE OUR CONSTITUTION, SAVE OUR LIBERTY, SAVE OUR SECURITY, YOU ARE ALL WE THE PEOPLE HAVE!
Let’s hope that this quick retort by Gore will demonstrate that Democrats have had enough and will not take it lying down any more. Dems must hang together on issues and not splinter off; unity is key.
As encouraged as I am by Gore’s response, I wonder why the Democrats planned their announcements concerning the ban on gifts from lobbyists for tomorrow when the Republicans announced theirs today. So I am not convinced that the Dems will play hardball.
#16, besides fear and macho posturing, what does Bush bring to the table that cultivates public trust etc…? It’s a serious question, not a slap at Bush. I really just do not see the popularity of this guy. They run very effective, albeit dirty, campaigns, but the actual substance is lacking.
#20…you are correct, I don’t see it either…what I would’ve like to have seen from the ‘04 election was a pro Democrat agenda….we got ‘bush lite’ and the aforementioned disregard for ‘flyover’ country. People in large sections of the country simply could not identify with John Kerry and Bush was the alternative. As unfair as it is the line of thinking that Democrats ‘can’t keep you safe won out for many people as did ‘values’. But frame ‘values’ as health care, education, senior and veterans car……I’d bet anything that a President Bill Clinton would’ve beat the current President handily.
“#10 that is precisely the line of thinking IMHO that got the President elected twice. richb”
Bush lost by a half million votes during the first election, clearly his ‘line of thinking’ wasn’t very popular. As for the second election there are 3 factors. At least 10% of americans will always vote for an incumbent no matter the party, not to mention that there are proven issues with voter irregularities which call into question the election to any serious minded unbiased person. In either case, neither election was decisive enough to warrant an arrogant or ‘mandated’ opinion that you imply.
“If you continue to disparage a large portion of the electorate instead of offering concrete proposals to do it better, you get the results we’ve suffered in the last two elections and the previous Congressional elections. richb”
Concrete proposals are offered all of the time, republicans just don’t like them because they involve taking away money from Halliburton.
“FDR, JFK, Bill Clinton….look at their model vs the Gore, Moveon.org, Sheehan et al…..they won elections and governed to popular favor. I do fear the current Democratic Loyal opposition doesn’t approach that and allows Democrats to get painted as ’soft on crime’, ’soft on defense’ ‘gay friendly’ and any other Republican talking point. richb”
Gore won the popular vote – so what’s your point? And in current polls a significant majority of americans agree with Democrats and not Republicans on virtually every point. Clearly getting the majority isn’t the issue, it’s getting past voting irregularities and a media that tells people their votes don’t count.
GORE ALONE CANNOT DO IT. YOU FOLKS WRITING ON THESE BLOGS NEED TO ORGANIZE AND QUICK! MARTIAL LAW IS STEPS AWAY. WE NEED NOT ONE MILLION PROTESTORS. WE NEED AN ORANGE REVOLUTION MILLIONS AND MILLIONS OF US DOWN ON THE GROUNDS OF THAT BALCK HOUSE (FORMERLY WHITE) PRONTO!!! AND IF THOSE RIGHTWING BASTARDS WHO SUPPORT BUSH SHOW UP TO SHUT US DOWN I SAY WE BEAT THE SHIT OUT OF THEM. TO HELL WITH THIS BALONEY HIGH GROUND AND BEING NICE.
#10. #16, #20. Thanks Mark. That is what is was going for. Insults are useless or, in fact, counterproductive, but sh*t, I am so infuriated and confused. Rational argument hardly works either with those unwilling to re-think and change. But the main point is: WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON IN THIS COUNTRY? How can so many be so blind? What is it? The media? The underfunded public education? The celebrity personality cult? The monopolistic tendency of culture-creating corporations? Overblown nationalism?
BESIDES ITS THE REDNECK RIGHTWINGERS AND OTHERS WHO WILL RESORT TO VIOLENCE FIRST. ALL WE ARE GONNA DO IS GIVE THEM SOME BRAINS BY SMACKING THEIR WORTHLESS BRAINS UP AGAINST A WALL.
“#20…you are correct, I don’t see it either…what I would’ve like to have seen from the ‘04 election was a pro Democrat agenda….we got ‘bush lite’ and the aforementioned disregard for ‘flyover’ country. The polls showed a 3% advantage to Kerry, and bush barely won the election through a very disputed Ohio electorate. Clearly Kerry identified more effectively than you give him credit. Despite the undying affection of the press who fawned over Bush, and the benefit of a desire to ’support a war president’, and the ‘fear of terrorism’ scares of the Osama tapes, Bush barely squeaked out a victory.
Those who paint the Democrats as out of the mainstream are smoking crack. The polls, and even the election results show no such thing. The last two election are clearly 2 of the closest in american history, and hardly a mandate for a republican majority or overwhelming approval.
Most of it is media propaganda hype. I speak to people all over the country, and the republicans are so far out of the mainstream it’s absurd. Without the media as their first line of defense, impeachment would have been a historical event by now.
Yes, in reality Bush lost both elections. But if the elections were not close, the Republicans would not have been able to steal it. Media propaganda steers the electorate towards a pro-corporate, most rightwing view, but what allows the media to continue with this? There must be other factors underlying.
As one of the few Democrats not hamstrung by his/her complicity in authorizing the president to use force in Iraq, hopefully he will go even further and denounce the so-called War on Terror as a what it is — a farce; a lie; a fabrication created by the Bush administration to further their agenda. Only by doing so can the voters be given a real choice.
Gore in 2008! I’m so excited! That man will be an awesome president, probably even better than Clinton.
Gore has no controlling legal authority to push this one.
Even you idiots have to realize how awful Gore sounds. He’s a loser. Just look at him – his world has crumbled and in a pathetic attempt to stay relevant, he’s slandering The Bush dynasty. Oh – did I say dynasty??
Gore nailed it. The MSM has been too quiet and has been complicit with Bush. I hope this stirs something in the Democratic Party and we start to hear more from liberals and progressives. Hillary has to get off the “flag” and “plantations” motifs. I would rather hear something of substance. Democrats should stand for the party of ideas and how to move the country forward. So-called “conservatives”, of which Bush is not one, stand for limited government, and protecting the environment. It appears that he is just another neo-con with no agenda except killing Americans and lining his pockets. Gore sounds like presidential material, not the joker and clown we now have. I believe it should have been President Gore.
Moron,
You definitely deserve your name. I’m curious, though, how you feel that surrendering your rights, condoning corruption, and dismissing criminal behavior is a good thing?
In my book, and I’m certain that I’m not alone in this one, it makes you a traitorous coward and, of course, a moron. Do you not believe in our Constitution? Or the Bill of Rights? Why do you hate America?
“Even you idiots have to realize how awful Gore sounds. He’s a loser. The Moronic Scared Child”
I can understand how someone who won the popular vote and in a ‘democracy’ would be president could be threatening to someone who’s insecure about their president. I feel your pain child. It’s ok, we’ll protect the constitution and the country from you and your fellow republicans. Eventually many of you will wake from the ether and realize what you’ve done, and we’ll forgive you of your sins.
Poor Alberto. He was on his way to untrammeled authority with sweet dreams of torture dancing in his head. Now he’s just the rat who forgot to leave the sinking ship. By the way, stop feeding the troll.
Michael,
Actually, it seems that the bush administrations penchant for lying knows no bounds. It would also seem, unfortunately, that your ignorance is boundless as well.
How can you condone the behaviour by the bush administration and still attempt to call yourself a patriotic american? If it is a dictatorship that you desire, go find yourself one and quit trying to destroy the USA.
That is just a fraction of th White House’s response. Here’s more…
“If Al Gore is the voice of the Democratic Party on national security issues, we welcome it,” said White House spokesman Scott McClellan.
and more…
Ronald Kaufman, a Republican political strategist, said Gore is wrong.
“No one doubts [Bush] was doing the right things for the right reasons,” Kaufman said. “And it’s interesting, Al Gore was one of the folks leading the charge, saying after 9/11 that we hadn’t done our job, that we hadn’t listened carefully enough, that there were things we should have been doing more to make sure it didn’t happen. You can’t have it both ways.”
and more…
Al Gore’s incessant need to insert himself in the headline of the day is almost as glaring as his lack of understanding of the threats facing America. While the president works to protect Americans from terrorists, Democrats deliver no solutions of their own, only diatribes laden with inaccuracies and anger,” said Tracey Schmitt, a spokeswoman for the Republican National Committee.
Okay, time to take out the trolls. I don’t know how much you assholes are getting paid but your pathetic attempts to smack down Gore and defend Boy George are either the worst examples of greed and desperation or simple stupidity. Take a walk.
Gore knows all too well the threats facing America and the constitution. That’s why he’s defending us in the face of those who would destroy our way of life, our laws and our constitution – that’s right both the islamic and the republican extremists are threats. When you can find the love, and patriotism to defend america with your courage to defend our constitution and civil liberties and not just our borders – your learning will be complete grasshopper.
You are cutting and pasting the White House response? Is that the best you can do? Hilarious!
Is Ronald Kaufman suggesting Gore is insinuating, in his remarks after 9/11, that he would have gone for warrantless wiretaps?
And as for Gore “not understanding the threats that face America”, I’d say he understands just fine. A Republican strategist’s comments are meaningless. In other words, opinion. Give us some facts.
I guess the former Secretary of Homeland Security, Tom Ridge, also had a lack of understanding of the threats facing America:
The Bush administration periodically put the USA on high alert for terrorist attacks even though then-Homeland Security chief Tom Ridge argued there was only flimsy evidence to justify raising the threat level, Ridge now says.
Ridge, who resigned Feb. 1, said Tuesday that he often disagreed with administration officials who wanted to elevate the threat level to orange, or “high” risk of terrorist attack, but was overruled.
““If Al Gore is the voice of the Democratic Party on national security issues, we welcome it,†said White House spokesman Scott McClellan.”
Considering he was elected president by a half million votes, clearly the american public had more confidence in Gore than Bush or McClellan. Why must republicans always smear, whine and generally act like children when confronted with their criminal acts. Scottie obviously went pottie when he said this – clearly his fear and hatred of american values and democrats overwhelmed his reason. It’s the only thing that would make him say something so ridiculous, hateful and stupid.
“No one doubts [Bush] was doing the right things for the right reasons,†Kaufman said. “And it’s interesting, Al Gore was one of the folks leading the charge, saying after 9/11 that we hadn’t done our job, that we hadn’t listened carefully enough, that there were things we should have been doing more to make sure it didn’t happen. You can’t have it both ways.â€
Sure you can. The evidence was there “Bin Laden intends to attack”, but Republicans didn’t listen. Clearly the problem wasn’t more evidence, but the inability to hear. That appears to be a common problem among the closed minded and hate oriented right wing. It’s hard to protect the peace, when the president says the #1 priority is the drug war not least than 2 weeks before the attack.
“Al Gore’s incessant need to insert himself in the headline of the day is almost as glaring as his lack of understanding of the threats facing America. While the president works to protect Americans from terrorists, Democrats deliver no solutions of their own, only diatribes laden with inaccuracies and anger,†said Tracey Schmitt, a spokeswoman for the Republican National Committee.”
Sounds like Terry is projecting. Democrats work to deliver lots of solutions – but republicans control congress. If you guys all resign, the democrats would be happy to clean up your mess.

If I had a dollar for every time I’ve seen those same tired comments posted on this site, I could retire. You’re only trying to elevate yourself to some assumed position of superiority–it’s not working for you. The Democratic party leaders could fart and all of you lefties would echo the sound… in fact you just did. When you’re done playing grown-up, try thinking for yourself for a change.
Michael,
Young man, I think for myself all the time which is why I have not been fooled by the bush administration. I find it humorous that you, who posts the quotes from others as your complete and total argument, would accuse someone of not thinking for themselves.
So, you wanna play grown up? Great. Now, what makes the bush administration’s warrantless eavesdropping legal? Or, if you want to defend Scott McClellan, how specifically is Mr. Gore being hypocritical? Or, how do you feel that it is not traitorous for a person sworn to uphold the Constitution to order a governmental agency to act in contradiction to the Constitution?
“If I had a dollar for every time I’ve seen those same tired comments posted on this site, I could retire. What a hateful example of projected fears and insecurities. You accuse others of trying to assume a position of authority, as you try to claim that position for yourself. I’m sorry you’re so scared, threatened and insecure there pumpkin. I forgive you for your temporary loss of reason. When you recover it, I’d actually like to hear what original thoughts you have – instead of all of those silly and clearly misleading quotes that you posted.
As for leaders walking all over us, I guess you don’t consider a runaway president that fabricates a war, and spies on his own citizens in violation of the constitution an abuse of power or walking all over us? Maybe it’s because you believe his ‘intentions’ were noble? And yet republicans always talk about being constitutional literalists, and not reading the ‘intentions’ of the founding fathers. So why the sudden change of heart, did the terrorists give you a nightmare?
Don’t worry there pumpkin, those of us with real courage will not only protect the borders, but we’ll also protect the constitution for those on the fringes of the rightwing who would destroy it. We’ll protect american values, even if you don’t appreciate them yourself. And when you’re no longer scared, and you wake up and realize what a gift we’ve given you, you can thank us then. Ok pumpkin?
You’re not worth a considered response. In fact none of you are. Your minds are already made up. You’ve allowed the Democratic talking points and the media spin to determine your reality, and that’s all you’re capable of hearing.
“You’re not worth a considered response. In fact none of you are. Your minds are already made up. You’ve allowed the Democratic talking points and the media spin to determine your reality, and that’s all you’re capable of hearing. Michael”
So in otherwords, you don’t have an answer, so you’re gonna take your ball away so you don’t have to play. That’s ok pumpkin, we understand how frustrating puberty can be, emotions everywhere, all upset over the slightest thing. We forgive you for your irrational responses there pumpkin.
And we understand why you’d have no problems lying and being a tool of propaganda because you’re scared. The suicided bombers in israel act much in the same way. It’s important to forgive those who are weak of mind and character, so I forgive you of your weakness. I only hope you’ll be able to forgive yourself someday.
Oh and Michael, I rarely agree with the media, as it usually lies for you and your fellow republicans. How about you pumpkin? See I read the speech directly, and formed my opinions without the press. Did you read a republican website first, or have you even read Gore’s speech yet? I bet you haven’t – that would be entirely too open minded – a terrible and fearful place for a republican partisan to reside.
I forgive you for being too afraid to form your own opinion. When you’re older, maybe you’ll give yourself the permission to do so. You have mine, if that helps.
The bushies and their last gasp defenders haven’t a leg to stand on. The administration is criminal and unconstitutional in nature. It was born out of a tortured application of the law and it brazenly defies the law.
A President that breaks the law is a danger to the structure of our government.
Yes, the job of an attorney general is to enforce the law and to interpret it. Gore, has hit the nail on the head. If Gonzales is worth his salt as an attorney, he should use his skills as such and not use these lame claims to precedence. Does the administration then argue to use Nixon’s illegal behavior as precedence also? Well, I guess maybe they are. Gonzales: just another loyal cronie.
#62 – Andrew,
Yes they must go, but I fear that they will take us with them. Could you imagine a fireworks show done with Nukes? What far-out species would enjoy the show?
If Gonzales is worth his salt as an attorney, he should use his skills as such and not use these lame claims to precedence…
Comment by Ergie Earp #63
Ergie,
Al gonzales was Bushiva’s White House counsel BEFORE he became AG…
Which means that Al likely advised Bushiva that what he was doing (illegal wiretapping, torturing, renditions, suspending habaes corpus for Padilla among other things) could be argued as legal…
These Al Cracka bastiches are masters at lying and breaking the law, then using obfuscation, distortion and other lies to cover up…
“There are two difficulties. The first is that the data needed to pass sound judgments aren’t available. Nobody is going to tell the president that he has to hand over a list of the people whose telephone conversations he has intercepted, with the reasons why those interceptions were undertaken. A second difficulty is that it is inconceivable that an investigative panel would agree that the investigation of, say, Ramad el-Sein, was not only preposterous, but revealing of malefaction by those who undertook to tap his phone.”
William F. Buckley, Jr. (from NRO)
…Buckley goes on to state (perhaps prophetically so) that (I’m paraphrasing) NOTING of substance is going to come out of any legal challenges or investigations…
…this is so much “strum und drung” and all for naught…
The way America has become so Al Crackerized (with the politicization of 9/11) it’s a good bet Buckley’s right…
The “Clipper” project that Al worked on during his years in the White House must have slipped his mind as he was giving his speech. What a fricking hypocrite!
Did you get that ‘jewel’ of misinformation and propaganda from the freerepublic or newsmax. They’re both such ‘unbaised’ and ‘trusted’ names, it’s hard to imagine why either of them would lie about anything, yet that’s what the scare little boys and girls at both sights do daily. I feel sorry for them that they’d be so desperate to lie so readily. And I feel sorry for you that you have no self esteem, and would carry water for such partisan liars.
Since Randy doesn’t know what the Clipper chip is, or how it works, let me inform him and the rest of the world. This is just more propaganda from the desperate lie machine of the rightwing.
The clipper technology allowed for a skelton key design for encryption that would permit WITH COURT ORDER, the wiretapping of encrypted documents. This is very similar to the technology hooks in the phone company that permit current telecommunications to be wiretapped under court order. This ‘project’ as Randy calls it was related to how to introduce such a wiretap capacity into the infrastructure and had nothing to do with illegal wiretapping.
The ‘fricking hypocrites’ are republicans who keep talking about Democrats breaking the law when it didn’t happen, all the while saying they will CONTINUE to break the law even after being caught. Randy I feel sorry for you that you would wish to lie and misrepresent so readily. You must be one scared and wiped out fellow to feel so desperate and untruthful. I forgive you of your evil deeds.
Let’s all watch the bushies spin this one now.

January 17th, 2006 at 7:25 pmGORE ALONE CANNOT DO IT.
January 17th, 2006 at 7:26 pm#10.
January 17th, 2006 at 7:26 pmBESIDES ITS THE REDNECK RIGHTWINGERS AND OTHERS WHO WILL RESORT TO VIOLENCE FIRST. ALL WE ARE GONNA DO IS GIVE THEM SOME BRAINS BY SMACKING THEIR WORTHLESS BRAINS UP AGAINST A WALL.
January 17th, 2006 at 7:27 pm“#20…you are correct, I don’t see it either…what I would’ve like to have seen from the ‘04 election was a pro Democrat agenda….we got ‘bush lite’ and the aforementioned disregard for ‘flyover’ country. People in large sections of the country simply could not identify with John Kerry and Bush was the alternative. As unfair as it is the line of thinking that Democrats ‘can’t keep you safe won out for many people as did ‘values’. But frame ‘values’ as health care, education, senior and veterans car……I’d bet anything that a President Bill Clinton would’ve beat the current President handily. richb”
January 17th, 2006 at 7:28 pmJuizzee,
Most of it is media propaganda hype. I speak to people all over the country, and the republicans are so far out of the mainstream it’s absurd. Without the media as their first line of defense, impeachment would have been a historical event by now.
January 17th, 2006 at 7:30 pmBoobytoo, who is them?
January 17th, 2006 at 7:33 pmRightPunch:
Yes, in reality Bush lost both elections. But if the elections were not close, the Republicans would not have been able to steal it. Media propaganda steers the electorate towards a pro-corporate, most rightwing view, but what allows the media to continue with this? There must be other factors underlying.
January 17th, 2006 at 7:38 pmAs one of the few Democrats not hamstrung by his/her complicity in authorizing the president to use force in Iraq, hopefully he will go even further and denounce the so-called War on Terror as a what it is — a farce; a lie; a fabrication created by the Bush administration to further their agenda. Only by doing so can the voters be given a real choice.
Gore in 2008! I’m so excited! That man will be an awesome president, probably even better than Clinton.
January 17th, 2006 at 7:46 pmGore has no controlling legal authority to push this one.
Even you idiots have to realize how awful Gore sounds. He’s a loser. Just look at him – his world has crumbled and in a pathetic attempt to stay relevant, he’s slandering The Bush dynasty. Oh – did I say dynasty??
January 17th, 2006 at 7:48 pmGore nailed it.
January 17th, 2006 at 7:48 pmMoron,
You definitely deserve your name.
January 17th, 2006 at 7:57 pm#31. I guess we are just lucky to have the “bush dynasty” that never slanders anyone.
January 17th, 2006 at 7:57 pmYes, because you are a republican troll zombie. You will say anything they pay you to say.
January 17th, 2006 at 7:58 pm“Even you idiots have to realize how awful Gore sounds.
January 17th, 2006 at 8:08 pmGore’s hypocrisy knows no bounds.
January 17th, 2006 at 8:19 pm#37. Wow, where did you come up with that one? That is the definition of insightful. You must be some kind of genius.
January 17th, 2006 at 8:24 pmPoor Alberto. He was on his way to untrammeled authority with sweet dreams of torture dancing in his head. Now he’s just the rat who forgot to leave the sinking ship. By the way, stop feeding the troll.
January 17th, 2006 at 8:43 pmMichael,
Actually, it seems that the bush administrations penchant for lying knows no bounds. It would also seem, unfortunately, that your ignorance is boundless as well.
How can you condone the behaviour by the bush administration and still attempt to call yourself a patriotic american? If it is a dictatorship that you desire, go find yourself one and quit trying to destroy the USA.
January 17th, 2006 at 8:43 pm#38
January 17th, 2006 at 8:44 pmMichael,
You quote three republican hacks in your (pathetic) argument against what Mr. Gore had to say?
Don’t worry son, us grown-ups will take care of this and make certain that the USA is still around once you get through puberty.
January 17th, 2006 at 8:53 pmOkay, time to take out the trolls. I don’t know how much you assholes are getting paid but your pathetic attempts to smack down Gore and defend Boy George are either the worst examples of greed and desperation or simple stupidity. Take a walk.
January 17th, 2006 at 8:54 pmBut Mom, I can’t go to bed now! I think these blog people actually like me…waaaaaaaaahhhhhhh
January 17th, 2006 at 8:55 pmMichael,
Gore knows all too well the threats facing America and the constitution.
January 17th, 2006 at 8:55 pm#41

January 17th, 2006 at 9:00 pm““If Al Gore is the voice of the Democratic Party on national security issues, we welcome it,†said White House spokesman Scott McClellan.”

January 17th, 2006 at 9:02 pmIf I had a dollar for every time I’ve seen those same tired comments posted on this site, I could retire.
I await your considered response.
January 17th, 2006 at 9:10 pmOops. Kind of let that cat out of the bag.
January 17th, 2006 at 9:11 pm“If I had a dollar for every time I’ve seen those same tired comments posted on this site, I could retire.
Ok pumpkin?
January 17th, 2006 at 9:21 pm#50
You’re not worth a considered response. In fact none of you are. Your minds are already made up. You’ve allowed the Democratic talking points and the media spin to determine your reality, and that’s all you’re capable of hearing.
January 17th, 2006 at 9:22 pm“You’re not worth a considered response.
January 17th, 2006 at 9:24 pmOh and Michael, I rarely agree with the media, as it usually lies for you and your fellow republicans.
January 17th, 2006 at 9:26 pm#55
January 17th, 2006 at 9:39 pmYes I read Gore’s speech. It was posted on moveon.org–Satisfied? Stop acting so gay…you’re freaking me out.
Michael:
Please keep acting so gay. You’re freaking ME out…if you know what I mean.

January 17th, 2006 at 9:46 pmI’m sure everyone you disagree with is a devil.
Michael,
Watch the speech. Don’t just read it. Then you will see how a speech is supposed to be given.
No captive audience, no pre-screened attendees, no teleprompters, no “Uhhhhhhhhh” moments. Gore made two mistakes and checked his notes once.
January 17th, 2006 at 10:17 pmThe bushies and their last gasp defenders haven’t a leg to stand on. The administration is criminal and unconstitutional in nature. It was born out of a tortured application of the law and it brazenly defies the law.
A President that breaks the law is a danger to the structure of our government.
Bush/Cheney and their dead-enders must go.
January 17th, 2006 at 10:24 pmYes, the job of an attorney general is to enforce the law and to interpret it.
January 17th, 2006 at 10:35 pm#62 – Andrew,
January 17th, 2006 at 10:36 pmYes they must go, but I fear that they will take us with them.
These Al Cracka bastiches are masters at lying and breaking the law, then using obfuscation, distortion and other lies to cover up…
January 18th, 2006 at 8:28 amNo captive audience, no pre-screened attendees, no teleprompters, no “Uhhhhhhhhh†moments. Gore made two mistakes and checked his notes once.

Yeah Spudge,
Wasn’t it refreshing to see the skillful delivery of inspirational words sans a teleprompter/or notes by a REAL intelligent leader?
…and the audience looked so….so…un-related to each other…
…unlike Bushiva’s klan rallies…
January 18th, 2006 at 8:31 amin fact you just did. When you’re done playing grown-up, try thinking for yourself for a change.

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!

Don’t ever use the words “think for yourself” again…
January 18th, 2006 at 8:37 am“There are two difficulties.
The way America has become so Al Crackerized (with the politicization of 9/11) it’s a good bet Buckley’s right…
January 18th, 2006 at 8:47 am# 67
Reprobate,
That’s typical for you lefties–you want to tell everyone what they can and can’t say. As long as this is still America, I’ll say whatever I want.
January 18th, 2006 at 8:53 amThe “Clipper” project that Al worked on during his years in the White House must have slipped his mind as he was giving his speech. What a fricking hypocrite!
January 18th, 2006 at 9:03 amRandy,
Did you get that ‘jewel’ of misinformation and propaganda from the freerepublic or newsmax.
January 18th, 2006 at 2:12 pmSince Randy doesn’t know what the Clipper chip is, or how it works, let me inform him and the rest of the world.
