Why would Delay be considered for a leadership position on any Subcommittee? Shouldn’t he be concerning himself with a solid legal defense?
Seeing Delay squirm and knowing that he’s radioactive in Washington is one of the few bright spots on the political landscape. May he do the time to fit his crimes.
This is old new’s. Heard this a couple of weeks ago all over the net. Maybe Delay is going to help clean up the house and senate. His experteseeeee is tarp, tape and poison to kill roaches and bugs. right.? LOL..:)…..Blessings
WE CANT WAIT . ORG, Did anyone hear about Frist going over to the house after a Conference Committee closed and along with hastert inserted a 40 page addendum into a bill that no one was allowed to see?
Tom’s gotta act as if he’s being framed so why is this a surprise? All these clowns act the same. Deny, deny, deny, conviction = “Ops, I’m sorry, please don’t send me to jail, this was all a misunderstanding and I’ll tell you all about the bad guys in congress.” Tom is the lead clown, nothing new here!
Bush / Cheney, The WHole Lot Committed War crimes of Humanity.

GSD, nice day here in NH, can finally see the grass after all that warm weather washed away the snow. Think I’ll head out to the shed to sharpen my sword and polish my armor :)
Did any body catch any of the VP’s speech at the Manhattan Inst. the other day? I watched him as he started off and he kept mentioning John Adams as Vice President and made, IMHO, some all too obvious comparisons. I think this is very telling about the Historic arguments they have in store for their defense of the power they seek and have deployed. By default, initiate enumerated, or otherwise, power entitlements for the sake of the republic itself. I’d read more Hamilton and the Federalist papers. Next ?: Who’s going to carry thier water for them in 08. Cheney himself?
mparker, here is a quote for ya: ” Depend on’t; no Truth, no matter of Fact fairly laid open, can ever subvert true Religion” Richard Bentley, Master of Trinity College, Cambridge.
Someone said it yesterday; pot, I’d like you to meet kettle.
DeLay will only hold that until Dec. 05. He’s losing in his district to ANY (they used un-named in the poll) democrat.
DeLay will be more like Cunningham in the next Congressional session except in one manner. They’ll both be out of office then but DeLay will be in a prison somewhere.
Say GSD, where is that in the constitution.? Need to drag my copy out and read up on it again. No matter if it’s against the law for the rest of us to revolt, if it should come to that, and it may. We must do what ever it takes, especialy if our elected officials refuse to follow the will of the people. Good posts men, were drowning out here on the west coast. A dear friend from NH just traveled through on her way to Calif. She said they were having lots of snow last Monday when she left, it will be nice for her return trip that it’s over…Blessings
In Article 10 of the state bill of rights:
“[Art.] 10. [Right of Revolution.] Government being instituted for the common benefit, protection, and security, of the whole community, and not for the private interest or emolument of any one man, family, or class of men; therefore, whenever the ends of government are perverted, and public liberty manifestly endangered, and all other means of redress are ineffectual, the people may, and of right ought to reform the old, or establish a new government. The doctrine of nonresistance ag ainst arbitrary power, and oppression, is absurd, slavish, and destructive of the good and happiness of mankind.”
I thought it was against the repug rules for someone to hold a leadership or commitie postwhile under inditement? Of course, why would they follow their own rules in light of things….
#32, Wayne, they made Delay leave as majority leader because of his legal troubles, so I don’t understand how he can even be considered for appropriations committee either — except when I recall that is the committee that determines where a lot of the money goes.
Rules?! Rules?! They don’t need no stinkin’ rules!
There’s gold in them thar hills!
Power corruptions, but power corrupts republicans absolutely – or so it would seem :)
I’ve always suspected that people with low self esteem and a great desire for power seem to drift to the heads of churches and the republican party administration. Both leadership sets seem to be dominated by the most easily corrupted and disreputable people. It seems almost like a drug adict being drawn to drugs – which if you’re as afraid of the world as most republicans seem to be, power does seem like the drug they would be drawn to. Poor things, I feel so sorry for them.
He’s probably hoping that some of “Dukes” old defence contractors are still looking for a congressman for hire.

January 21st, 2006 at 12:36 pmJay, yeah, unseasonably warm to be sure.
Remember how the gas/heating fuel prices were raised because it was “going to be a cold winter”.
Now the prices are going up again?
They can’t even get their lies right anymore and it doesn’t matter.
Anyhow, polish away. You do know that NH is the only state with the right to revolution in the consitution.
