  1. Clif says:

He’s probably hoping that some of “Dukes” old defence contractors are still looking for a congressman for hire.

  2. the fly-man says:

It’s time for his red shoes. He needs to click his heels 3 times and head back home.

  3. Jay says:

Why would Delay be considered for a leadership position on any Subcommittee? Shouldn’t he be concerning himself with a solid legal defense?

Seeing Delay squirm and knowing that he’s radioactive in Washington is one of the few bright spots on the political landscape. May he do the time to fit his crimes.

  4. Flashback says:

I Thought Delay was in Prison. WHAT? Another Criminal on the LOOSE?

  5. Flashback says:

    I Suppose”Yer doin a HeckuvajubTom” Bush Approves?

  8. california_reality_check says:

Well, you know, Appropriations are where the REAL money is to be made. Just ask the Duke. This stinks, as usual. I hope it gets big press.

  9. Sharon Cox says:

This is old new’s. Heard this a couple of weeks ago all over the net. Maybe Delay is going to help clean up the house and senate. His experteseeeee is tarp, tape and poison to kill roaches and bugs. right.? LOL..:)…..Blessings

  11. Bobbytoo says:

WE CANT WAIT . ORG, Did anyone hear about Frist going over to the house after a Conference Committee closed and along with hastert inserted a 40 page addendum into a bill that no one was allowed to see?

  12. Southwest Bob says:

Tom’s gotta act as if he’s being framed so why is this a surprise? All these clowns act the same. Deny, deny, deny, conviction = “Ops, I’m sorry, please don’t send me to jail, this was all a misunderstanding and I’ll tell you all about the bad guys in congress.” Tom is the lead clown, nothing new here!

Bush / Cheney, The WHole Lot Committed War crimes of Humanity.
    This is Unjustifiable.
The War on TWO Nations Peoples DID NOT RESULT IN THE CAPTURING OF THE SUSPECTED 911 CONSPIRER.
It Is my CONCLUSION THAT BUSH NOT ONLY FAILED IN PROVIDING SECURITY AND SAFTY OF AMERICA,BUT, RESULTED IN ENDANGERING THOUSANDS OF MILITARY TROOPS, INNOCENT CIVIALIANS,COST IS EXTRANOMICAL, JUST TO Name a few Crimes!
    TIME IS UP!
NURNBERG TRIALS ON THIS ADMINISTRATION IS WAY TOO LATE!

  18. Jay says:

    oops…that’s “on fire”

  19. Pete Bogs says:

DeLay should be angling for a spot in the unemployment line…

  20. Granite State Destroyer says:

I wonder how many Romans sat around and thought about the same things as we are thinking before the fall?

    -GSD

  21. Jay says:

GSD, nice day here in NH, can finally see the grass after all that warm weather washed away the snow. Think I’ll head out to the shed to sharpen my sword and polish my armor :)

    Have a good one.

  22. the fly-man says:

Did any body catch any of the VP’s speech at the Manhattan Inst. the other day? I watched him as he started off and he kept mentioning John Adams as Vice President and made, IMHO, some all too obvious comparisons. I think this is very telling about the Historic arguments they have in store for their defense of the power they seek and have deployed. By default, initiate enumerated, or otherwise, power entitlements for the sake of the republic itself. I’d read more Hamilton and the Federalist papers. Next ?: Who’s going to carry thier water for them in 08. Cheney himself?

  23. wisedup says:

after watching all about presidents on the history channel, bush wins out as ‘Worse president in history’.

  24. mparker says:

This is like rotating child molesting priests between Churches.

  25. the fly-man says:

mparker, here is a quote for ya: ” Depend on’t; no Truth, no matter of Fact fairly laid open, can ever subvert true Religion” Richard Bentley, Master of Trinity College, Cambridge.

  26. kindness says:

Someone said it yesterday; pot, I’d like you to meet kettle.

DeLay will only hold that until Dec. 05. He’s losing in his district to ANY (they used un-named in the poll) democrat.

DeLay will be more like Cunningham in the next Congressional session except in one manner. They’ll both be out of office then but DeLay will be in a prison somewhere.

  27. Granite State Destroyer says:

Jay, yeah, unseasonably warm to be sure.

Remember how the gas/heating fuel prices were raised because it was “going to be a cold winter”.

Now the prices are going up again?

They can’t even get their lies right anymore and it doesn’t matter.

Anyhow, polish away. You do know that NH is the only state with the right to revolution in the consitution.

    -GSD

  28. Sharon Cox says:

Say GSD, where is that in the constitution.? Need to drag my copy out and read up on it again. No matter if it’s against the law for the rest of us to revolt, if it should come to that, and it may. We must do what ever it takes, especialy if our elected officials refuse to follow the will of the people. Good posts men, were drowning out here on the west coast. A dear friend from NH just traveled through on her way to Calif. She said they were having lots of snow last Monday when she left, it will be nice for her return trip that it’s over…Blessings

  29. WaltTheMan says:

In Article 10 of the state bill of rights:
“[Art.] 10. [Right of Revolution.] Government being instituted for the common benefit, protection, and security, of the whole community, and not for the private interest or emolument of any one man, family, or class of men; therefore, whenever the ends of government are perverted, and public liberty manifestly endangered, and all other means of redress are ineffectual, the people may, and of right ought to reform the old, or establish a new government. The doctrine of nonresistance ag ainst arbitrary power, and oppression, is absurd, slavish, and destructive of the good and happiness of mankind.”

  30. Jay says:

Thanks for that GSD and Walt. So we revolt at the capitol building in Concord and we string up Judd Gregg and John Sununu…well, it’s a start.

  31. Sharon Cox says:

    Thank’s Walt, GSD and Jay….Blessings

  32. Wayne says:

I thought it was against the repug rules for someone to hold a leadership or commitie postwhile under inditement? Of course, why would they follow their own rules in light of things….

  33. Clif says:

Hell they even changed the rules so DeCrook could keep his job, until some repugs were even repullsed by that.

  34. WaltTheMan says:

    Jay,
We can always hope that W visits NH.

  35. Marie says:

#32, Wayne, they made Delay leave as majority leader because of his legal troubles, so I don’t understand how he can even be considered for appropriations committee either — except when I recall that is the committee that determines where a lot of the money goes.
Rules?! Rules?! They don’t need no stinkin’ rules!
There’s gold in them thar hills!

  36. Clif says:

But since Bubble-boy has declared that he gets to make up the rules donchya think he might let DeCrook do the same

  37. Dreary Urbanite says:

DeLay may be angling for Duke Cunningham’s old spot but he also seems to be angling for his current spot as well. Cell for two anyone?

  38. Clif says:

    Birds of a feather………………LOL

  39. WaltTheMan says:

Shouldn’t DeLay be angling for Ricky Cunningham’s old spot?

  40. RightPunch says:

Power corruptions, but power corrupts republicans absolutely – or so it would seem :)

I’ve always suspected that people with low self esteem and a great desire for power seem to drift to the heads of churches and the republican party administration. Both leadership sets seem to be dominated by the most easily corrupted and disreputable people. It seems almost like a drug adict being drawn to drugs – which if you’re as afraid of the world as most republicans seem to be, power does seem like the drug they would be drawn to. Poor things, I feel so sorry for them.

  41. Scott says:

Duke’s old spot ought to be renamed The Exit.

  42. WaltTheMan says:

    Erudite, Scott, erudite.

  43. WaltTheMan says:

    For the W crowd:
    Definition of erudite (adjective)
having a wide knowledge acquired through reading; learned; knowledgeable; educated

  44. WORFEUS says:

Yes, Tom Delay needs to be involved with DOD Appropriations.

Thats like making a child molester an elementary school nurse.

Let’s not and say we did.

  45. WaltTheMan says:

    WORFEUS said:
“Yes, Tom Delay needs to be involved with DOD Appropriations.

That’s like making a child molester an elementary school nurse.

Let’s not and say we did.”

Couldn’t we just appoint Cheney to the post and eliminate the middleman? I’m with you WORFEUS, Just pointing to the bottom line.

  46. Keith H. says:

Someone please tell this loser DeLay that he’s over.

  47. progressive and proud says:

This guy needs to be back in the bug business. He is the worst thing that this country could ask for. He is utterly corrupt and stupid.
