Gee, it must bother you guys that Bush is reshaping the Supreme Court, setting this generations’ foreign policy and apparently setting a trend in the world – to vote conservative. Go Canada!
As liberals crow about meaningless polls, the GOP majority will continue to implement their plan for America. While the left denigrates our allies and our country, we will be ensuring that you do that from the backseat. Are you all ok with that? Bush’s approval can be 20% – YOU HAVE NO SAY in this climate.
You mean lying, killing, stealing, warring, hating, ignorance? Yes, they’re executing their plan prefectly. I hope this makes you proud, it makes me angry and sad for the loss of a once great nation.
IL Well, that may be for now, but it is clear that America is waking up. If this continues for much longer, I will gaurantee that we will have a civil war once again. I will be one of those in the front lines with this as well. I will use my military training to bring down those non-military hacks.
This is going to be a short lived time for the Republicans. They are crooks and liars. I’m not speaking an opinion, this is a fact. Just look at all of the scandals, which are Republicans.
Let’s apply the administration’s apologists justification for torture to this poll: Hey, at least he’s more popular than Osama Bin Laden!
Comment by Ugh
Only here in America. I’m sure OBL is far more popular in the world at large and it gives me no pleasure to say that. Clinton is more popular than OBL and that is why Goopers hate Clinton so much. Bush and OBL are probably in a dead heat in Spain with neither being too popular.
Is 36% why bin ladens voice was pulled out the rabbits hat… just like before the election bin laden comes outs sounding all american like and less middle eastern…anyone caught on yet?
Can’t wait for the Republican’s to return to the minority. History has always shows that the two party system is like a pendulum, sometimes left, sometimes right.
Too bad the current administration is doing everything in its power to show how out of touch they are with the American citizen.
Or maybe this is the great resurgance that the radical right has been talking about concerning Pres. Bush’s approval ratings! ;-) What was Pres. Clinton’s during the impeachment, 60%??? ;-)

I think you’ll find that most of America cares little about these “scandals”. What matters most to them is their security, an issue your party scored very low on in the last election and will again this fall. Just keep doing what you are doing and we’ll stay in power. Thank you for being you.

I think you’ll find that the GOP needs some new material after November. But you go right ahead and play that card. You guys just ain’t playing with a full deck, and all the cards have been marked so everybody at the table can see what they are.
Can Bush run for re-election? Why do you guys care so much what numbers he’s polling anyway? Clinton’s high approval numbers did nothing for his legacy. What matters is what you did while you were president. History will have high regard for the Bush presidency similarly to how we look back at the Reagan years.
Er, #2, I would hardly say that Bush is setting a trend for voting conservative based on the Canadian data point: a tired government tainted by corruption. If you want to see the trend, look south of the Rio Grande. Bolivia, Chile, Argentina, Brazil all throwing off the Monrow Doctrine with social democratic movements. The German election, though replacing a hostile social democratic government, replaced it with one that is equally hostile on the US gulag in Cuba, CIA renditions and is not going to give Bush soul buddy Putin a free ride anymore. Still waiting to hear if you are servile, morally treasonous or unpatriotic, IL.
#13, Yeah I feel much safer……. NOT!
Our borders are WIDE OPEN. We have not captured or killed OBL in over 4 years, and that would be because terrorists are not the issue or concern for this administration. We could have had OBL 10 times over if we wanted. We have the greatest intelligence agency in the world, but yet we can’t find one man.
We now have Pakistan that is growing in hatred of Americans, and are now joining the fight with the insergents. Yeah, I feel real safe with your weak, out of touch president. This bozo could not catch a sluth in a plastic bag if he wanted to.
Please tell me how we are safer with all of our borders wide open and no money to even protect them?
Bill, the only thing this administration will be remembered for is a worthless war, tourcher, and destruction of the Constitition. That is if this president does not enact his “inherint power” and remain in thrown until this war, which will never end, is over.
Bill … America is the shining light unto the world because of its LIBERTY (liberals) and its DEMOCRACY (democrats) … you never read about the great American revolution where someone said “Give me NEOCONS or give me death!” … no no no … it is “Give me LIBERTY or give me death!” … You dont even know what America is about. Bush is going to go down in history as a president that didnt really get elected and used Americas power to wage unilateral war against the spirit of America.
FDR is remembered as a great because he stood up against the capitalist republicans to help the people AND because he defended America in WWII.
IF America ever goes after Saudi Arabia then Bush will not only be seen as a loser over all, but also a traitor that tried to protect Americas enemies from Americans.

Bill,
The only way history will look back fondly on the Bush presidency is if Adolf Hitler is elected in 2008, or Condi Rice. That could happen with Alito on the bench, but I think you would find Canada and the rest of the world invading before that happens and then you would see a real “slam dunk” and people in the streets with flowers and candy really happy to see their liberators. Dream on and enjoy the kool-aid. Like it or not that’s the crazy way this system works. Like a pendulum, though some might say it’s more like a case of bi-polar disorder going from manic episodes to normal and then into a depressive state.
#18 – Yeah, like us selling weapons of mass destruction to Iraq. Oooops!
Or how about turning America into a debtor nation? Ooops!
Maybe the great growth in savings & loans? Ooops!
Or how about the scaling back the military after the Soviet Union fell, care of (current) VP Cheney? Oooops!
Or maybe it was the quadrupling of the deficit? Oooops!
Or maybe the highest number of indictments/pardons of administration members in history? Oooops!
Wow! There’s just so much to look back on concerning Pres. Reagan.
Let me set you straight – if Clinton haven’t been getting so busy with Monica, he could have had OBL sent here but no. We have the greatest intelligence agency in the world but you a**holes to want them to do their job by putting up walls (Gorelick) and complaining about the wiretaps. I want tighter borders too and we will have them provided your side doesn’t put up too much of a fuss over it. I do feel safer and am much safer now that we can connect the dots before another terrorist attack. You will see that most Americans feel this way too come November. I am willing to guarantee that. I know this just pisses off most of you, but ask me if I care.
And that’s the only reason some people look back fondly at Nixon or Reagan now, if you can believe that, because we elected a clown like Bush. The “conservative revolution” has been a race to the bottom of the barrel. It peaked in 94 during the Clinton years, because we had a democrat in office.
#7 You can bet on it. Bush and Osama are only some disgusting foreing whackos.
And, btw, the last one came from USA, when a deal to sale spanish unarmed planes to Venezuela was impeded because there were some USA pieces on it. We only had to change the agreement to implement european pieces. All in all, a benefit for the UE and another harassing coming from the USA. This is no way of making friends. The excuse from the GOP: “Was a private decision from the enterprise”. Yeah, right.
Well, if Bush wants to reinforce Venezuelan ties with China and Cuba, only has to do some “private decisions” more, bugging Chavez.

However, if you keep it up you may be put away and it might even be by your own government that you dont even care is slowly taking over and turning America into a Nazi Germany. You know, I think we should try a social experiment:

Democrat William Jefferson Clinton, past President
It would answer the question which way does America want to go in the future: war for lies/oil and ’sex on the beach’ drinks, or booming economy and sex in the White House.

Bush’s presidency has been called the “worst government the US has had in its 200 years of history”, historians have deemed it a failure, military experts and historians have called the Iraq misadventure “the most foolish war since Emperor Augustus in 9 B.C sent his legions into Germany and lost them”, “the greatest strategic blunder in modern memory”, and the “greatest strategic disaster in United States history.”
