The part I liked was when the Democrats cheered and clapped about rebuffing Pres. Bush's attempt to destroy Social Security!

Apolgies for inaction needs to go to the future.
Inactivity betrays their future, not our past.
Their past is happening NOW!!!

Well, #4, for each time he said "Freedom" you were required to take a drink (beer, wine, soda, cider, whatever). Take it from there. If you were imbibing, you're wasted.

He is absolutely correct. Since the majority of us think the country is on the wrong track, we end up hoping for a better future. So if you think about it, George has made us a more hope filled country.

Good one. ;)

I am full of hope. You know why. Bush and friends have brought this country down so low that it can only go up from here. I suppose there is complete depression, but I am also hopeful that Bush will be stopped before that happens.

I just couldn't watch another lie session. My apploigies to our founding fathers for not doing enough to stop our corupt goverment. We are growing in numbers by the day, and will overcome these dictators. I was weak, but I am getting stronger. Iran is just a diversion from them robbing the country. Lie to us, shame on them, lie to us more...shame on us.

It was a plumber,

Thanks for the advancement.

There were so many things in this speech which were quite patently absurd given his own policies — pleading for unity when he’s been just a partisan as anyone, talking about improvements in technology after he’s cut billions in student loans, bringing up the topic of affordable healthcare while cutting Medicaid, beating the dead horse of Social Security…it just went on and on. I can’t understand how anyone with any functioning brain cells left can continue to believe in this man anymore — but then again, I never believed in him to begin with.

I think they have lied so much and so often, thru Roves Spin, and that they realize WE know about their Double Speak, Echo Chamber propaganda, they are tongue tied.
Bush is a Dead Duck Politically speaking, he may as well just Quit, like he has alot of other things.

And Well, Like Nixon Here...
"Thirty-five years ago," the San Francisco Chronicle's Bob Egelko recently wrote, "President Richard Nixon claimed constitutional authority to wiretap Americans' phone calls to protect national security without asking a judge..." In a unanimous decision, the Supreme Court ruled "against Nixon, saying the Constitution granted the powers he was claiming to judges, not presidents."

Egelko also pointed out the "Presidents have approved wiretaps without court orders since the 1940s, but the legality of the practice was thrown into doubt after the Supreme Court ruled in 1967 that electronic eavesdropping was a search, and thus covered by the prohibition on unreasonable searches in the Constitution's Fourth Amendment."

I still can't quite figure out whether Bush truly believes what he said and is simply living in a world of his own which has no relation to this one -- or doesn't believe a word of it and is simply selling snake oil. There were so many things in this speech which were quite patently absurd given his own policies -- pleading for unity when he's been just a partisan as anyone, talking about improvements in technology after he's cut billions in student loans, bringing up the topic of affordable healthcare while cutting Medicaid, beating the dead horse of Social Security...it just went on and on. I can't understand how anyone with any functioning brain cells left can continue to believe in this man anymore -- but then again, I never believed in him to begin with.

# 2 Hee hee hee, good one, I had to have some wine to endure this...

And because Bush tells them to, Hamas is now going
to recognize the state of Israel... riiiiiiiight.

How many times did he use the word 'freedom?'
I meant to keep count. I was waiting for 'the march
for freedom' and I was not disappointed.

Go to Home Depot,Wal-Mart,Kmart,Sam's Club,Lowes,Best Buy,Costco,Target, and all the other big box stores. Look at all the middle aged and older workers who look out of place, and ask them how hopeful they are.
For Christ's sake minimum wage =
