Feingold articulated his position on that issue well. Now, considering that five more Americans, and probably many more Iraqis, were killed yesterday, if only he would be as vocal in urging that U.S. troops be withdrawn from that country. The longer that U.S. troops remain, the more likely it is that they will continue to get picked off by the insurgents, whose fervent goal is to drive the invader from their land. The last thing that the terrorists want is for the United States military to leave Iraq and for people like Feingold to speak out in favor of withdrawal. They realize that if the Americans were to leave, it would make it more difficult to attract more followers to their cause. Feingold and the rest of the Democrats aren’t helping by sitting on the sidelines and remaining mute about bringing the troops home.
Day after day, Feingold continues to garner more respect from me. Anybody have any good dossiers on him? Voting record and the such? According to dKos and MyDD, he’s way out ahead in the race for the Democratic nomination.
Senator Russ Feingold is our best hope for a progressive administration. The christian conservatives will pull out all the cards to prevent the nomination and election of a Jewish president. It’s a long road Russ, but many are behind you.
To quote a line from The Goodbye Girl, I wouldn’t care if Feingold was a “one-eyed Episcopolian kangaroo”, as long as he does put forth some progressive ideas, such as announcing that the best course of action for the United States to take is to call it a day and to begin withdrawal of U.S. troops as expeditiously as possible. If not, as I mentioned earlier, those troops will continue to be picked off like ducks in a shooting gallery.
Just remember folks, another Senator with Spine mysteriously DIED in a Plane crash enroute to somewhere in Minnesota a few years ago. He Too spoke up and knew what was in the air. I personally believe these bastards would go so far to even Murder those who stand in their way. Thats really what the cheering is about folks. These thugs are mobsters dressed as cops.
Feingold is a Jew, albeit a Wisconsin Jew, so maybe his JPSI (Jewiness Per Square Inch) isn’t too overwhelming for the red state mentality. Wouldn’t a Feingold vs. McCain election be interesting considering how much work they’ve done together.
Next time you fax, email or call a senator or representative, include this in with your demand:
Until the legislation or action I demand gets done I will boycott products from Republican contributors Walmart, Wendy’s, Outback Steak House, Dominos Pizza, Red Lobster, Olive Garden, Eckerd, CVS and Walgreens, Curves for women health clubs, GE and Exxon/Mobil.
Hold Republican contributors accountable for their officeholders opposition to progress.
What the people of this country do not know [because they have been lied to] is that our troops are standing between two factions in a civil war and are are being targeted by both. A recent poll in Iraq showed that 80% of the Iraqi people want us to just pack up and leave. And, that is what we should do. We are the problem, we’re in the way.
If we leave tomorrow the Iraqi’s will settle it among themselves and whoever wins will kill or drive out the 750 to 1000 actual outside terrorists in their country. They don’t want them there and they would certainly be more qualified and efficient at getting them uncovered and out of there that we ever could.
We might as well resign ourselves to committing to deal with whoever winds up in control of Iraq. One thing is self eveident. It will never be us and only a group of idiots like Bush, Cheny, Rumsfeld, and the rest of the “Masters of the Universe” crowd could have ever considered that we would.
Russ is my Senator, and I consider him to be one of the true political heroes we Wisconsinites regularly turn out — men like Bob LaFollette, Gaylord Nelson and Bill Proxmire.
As a presidential candidate, however, he’s got several strikes against him. He’s Jewish, he’s been divorced twice and is currently unmarried, and worst of all, he’s a U.S. Senator. That means the Republicans can do to him what they did to John Kerry — turn every procedural vote on every omnibus spending bill into a vote to “raise taxes” or “deny supplies to our troops” while the press stands by and refuses to correct the record.
I think President Feingold would be a beautiful thing. But, sadly, it ain’t gonna happen.
Considering that Feingold on C Span saying he did this
and that with McCain, who is attached to bush, that should
be it right there not to consider him.
And is it true what I read that he has been divorced twice.
If that is true should also be a reason not to consider him.
If you are looking for someone to run then Edwards/Sanders
Not Belt way boys. Edwards went against Kerry over NAFTA
in primaries, told Kerry not to concede, trial lawyer
for children and will fight for us like our mayor who
is trial lawyer, family man, TV does not do him justice
in person his speach is mesmerizing, his father and
him textile workers, union members. Gephardt was
against NAFTA in some weird way we were not and
unions only because they were hurting. But Edwards
against NAFTA way we are and the unions are against them.
Family man.
Sanders is Independant but far better night and day
difference from McCain who Kerry wanted for vp.
He has been Rep for Vermont since l991 and when
Independant Senator Jeffords retires in 2006 will
become Senator for Vermont. Democrats are backing
him in Senate race because he votes Democratic which
means he votes Democratic more than the demorats.
My brother in law and son who are from Vermont are Independants too.
I guess most people in Vermont Independant although
they were for Dean they both are for Edwards/Sanders
in 2008. And know from them that Sanders is for the
people, fights for the people and his signature
is the elderly. And not just them we are from Illinois
and want Edwards/Sanders. Just as my nephew from Iowa
for Edwards and calls Sanders the great hope.
So not just speaking for us on Edwards/Sanders but
a group of people.
You know Edwards, but check out Rep Sanders of
Vermont website and ask the people of Vermont
about Sanders.
For Edwards/Sander know they are gold but will vote
for Dean and Kerry. But will never vote for gore, hillary
or bayh and biden who voting for bankruptcy bill took
away people’s only option and voting agaisnt Alito
does not erase it. Plus if they cheat on you once will do
it again just ask enabler Hillary.
24, hopefully Americans will notice that our current president calls himself a Christian, is married, was never divorced, was never a U.S. Senator, and he has been a complete failure!
#15- There was another plane crash, weeks before an election. Senator John Ashcroft still lost the election, to his deceased opponent. Scary similarities between these “accidents”. Both killed Dem. Senators, just weeks before tight races, that they were favored to win. What a coincidence. And several years ago there was that plane crash that killed George W.’s old business partner, Selim Bin Laden. Democrats in tight races this year should not fly right befor the election. Just to be on the safe side…. or at least safe from a plane crash.
BTW, Feingold has repeatedly and often called for a timetable for withdrawal of U.S. troops in Iraq, as well as being one of the few Democrats to vote against going to war with Iraq in the first place and the *only* Senator to vote against the Patriot Act. So this isn’t the first time he stood on principle and said “No” to neo-con lies and power grabs.
And BTW, Hillary Clinton is *not* a liberal. Liberals despise her. It seems to be conservatives who want her to run for President, because they’re the only ones ever talking about her.
If you’re fortunate, you’ll be able to find a good lawyer who is also a good person, and willing to guide you as you educate yourself. It is always wise to know as much as you can about your legal situation. You never want to turn one hundred perce…

February 2nd, 2006 at 8:23 pmYou can only have a post-9/11 mentality if you were completely unaware of terrorism before 9/11.
You know, that would explain a lot.
