And laws are written to amend it to further refine our system of government. I would hope that the laws are written to expand our civil liberties. I would rather have the country move forward. My statement about the Constitution being black and white was very abstract and wrong. I guess I was trying to say that our system of goverment, the three branches and the system of checks and balances should be very clear and respected. I'm just frustrated with this administration failing to follow the laws and making up their own. The FISA act had been amended 15 times and it is still not good enough for the president. And I like the president's comment on the FISA act written in 1978 and now it is 200...6, and it is a different world. If he doesn't like it, then he should continue to go back to Congress until he gets something that will work. The Constitution was written in 1776, and it is still a work in progress... Oops.
