  1. Tim Says:

This would be the same George Bush that famously remembered every frat boy’s name on pledge day.

  2. chuck despres Says:

“Why remember when forgetting comes naturally?”

  3. Gary Ruppert Says:

Meanwhile, it appears that Abramoff isn’t as Republican as you all think.

    Abramoff Hired Anti-Bush Writer

The liberals want the public to believe that Jack Abramoff was a “Republican” lobbyist, even though his clients, and associated firms showered money on Democrats such as Harry Reid and Byron Dorgan. Abramoff’s non-conservative tendencies were also in evidence in his selection of subsidized columnists.

The main one, Doug Bandow, describes himself as pro-drug legalization, anti-abortion, pro-free market, and anti-Iraq War. Bandow, who He says he dislikes President Bush. In fact, Bandow wrote an article before the 2004 presidential election encouraging people to “Vote Democratic” for President.

  4. Keith H. Says:

    Another case of ’selective memory’.

  5. S.D. Says:

    Maybe he’s Drinking again???

On a more serious note: Isn’t the “Scooter”s defense?

  6. Dumb Fox Says:

    Oh dear, Gary.

    1. Indian tribes have always donated to Reid and Dorgan.

    2. Doug Bandow is a libertarian.

Oh yeah. Abramoff was Chairman of the College Republicans back in 1983. He was best mates with the likes of Grover Norquist and Ralph Reed. He’s a conservative, he’s a Republican. He’s also a felon.

  7. Gary Ruppert Says:

Libertarians are just people who want to make excuses for their support of abortion.

They’re admirable on economic issues, but morally vacant on most social issues.

  8. The fly-man Says:

Yeah and Conservatives are for smaller govt., states rights and no nation building.
    Oh I forgot compassionate to.

  9. Anti Warhol Says:

I wish more Republicans were as honest as the trolls on this site about what they believe. Instead, they have to hide their position on social issues that most people would find deplorable and completely out of the mainstream.

See Bush, George W., Roberts, John and Alito, Sam.

  10. Gerald Gibson Says:

When you are morally correct people see it and follow you Gary. You should have learned that in church. People see your actions and know the type of person you are. I wonder why it is so hard to get people that believe in liberty, democracy, peace, reason, and justice behind republicans? Maybe it is because their actions do not smell like nor look like morality? It is not like the liberals are a bunch of jew baby eating war mongers that like to rape and pillage. How hard is it to get these type of people behind you if you are so “moral”? You must be mistake morality for cronyism. I wonder how many KKK were considered “moral” by their neighbors?

  11. Ron Says:

    Lying must cause amnesia.

  12. The fly-man Says:

BTW I am going to nolo responde to Mr. Ruppert, just as a point of civility.

  13. Harman, Rockefeller=DINO Says:

  15. Koalablue Says:

well he is rather busy…. the shrubs need cutting.. there is some war that needs to be won… and bugga me the nsa wiretapping well he has to listen to them…. so much to do and so little time…

  16. Rosencrantz Says:

If he doesn’t remember any of them, then why is his administration working so hard to finding those photos and hiding/destroying them?

  17. Hardy Haberman Says:

Since we are making up definitions:

Conservatives have become people who make up reality to fit their already existing ideas. In other words, if it dosen’t fit with “my version” of reality it does not exist.

  18. Pete Bogs Says:

how can Bush not believe in evolution? his own story on this issue has evolved so much since its inception…

  19. Marie Says:

Hey, Bushie, want some of Senator Roberts’ “memory pills?”

  20. MagnumDB Says:

Maybe Bush meant that he has SEEN the photos with himself and Abramoff, however Bush doesn’t actually remember that moment when the photo was taken, or the moment ANY of the photos we’re bound to see in the future were taken.

  21. katy Says:

another right wing criminal…but he ain’t hurtin’ either…

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doug_Bandow
…was a Senior Fellow at the Cato Institute, a libertarian think tank. He resigned on December 15, 2005 after admitting to accepting payments from lobbyist Jack Abramoff in return for publishing articles favorable to Abramoff’s clients over a period of approximately ten years…He has referred to his activities for Abramoff as “a lapse of judgement”…Copley News Service, a carrier of Doug Bandow’s column, suspended his column immediately after the payola news became public…

too bad more didn’t listen to bandow in 04:

Why conservatives must not vote for Bush
A Reaganite argues that Bush is a dangerous, profligate, moralizing radical — and that his reelection would be catastrophic both for the right and for America.

    hell, i knew that…

  22. Brando Says:

methinks he is misunderestimating things here

  23. Lis Riba Says:

If he’s suffering from that much memory loss, is he really able to discharge the powers and duties of his office?

  24. WaltTheMan Says:

Perhaps W does not remember Abramoff because he was dead ass drunk. Looks like Gary fell off his chair after the second liter of Johnny Walker Blue.

  25. dlet Says:

I’ve seen better feigns of memory loss and stupid alibis on COPS.

  26. Zookeeper Says:

Uh, Mr. Bush, if you’re going to lie all the time, you might want to get better at it. Just sayin’…

  27. piltdown Says:

Reagan had a better memory than this shithead!

  28. Clif Says:

Gary have you ever considered quail hunting,….. with,…..say,…..er,……Vice pres Cheney?
trust me it’ll be so much fun even the helocopter ride to the hospital…..LOL

  29. Evil Spaniard Says:

Declarations are changing subtlely, as in Iraq War’s rise… “I don’t remember Abramoff”, “I don’remember if there were pictures with Abramoff”, “I don’t remember when were the pictures taken”… someone needs to spur this guy to the truth, or it will take forever until he recognizes having being in a one yard radius of Abramoff…

  30. big papa Says:

  31. Gregor Samsa Says:

“He does not remember any of them”

What is this? The Alzheimer’s defence?

  32. Clif Says:

#33 No Greg it’s the “I did way too much cocaine but don’t want to talk about it” defense, at least Reagan had a legitimate medical issue.
