“The U.S. Justice Department and defense lawyers asked a federal judge Friday to delay the scheduled March sentencing of lobbyist Jack Abramoff in a Florida fraud case to allow him more time to cooperate in a broader government corruption investigation.”
Oh what he could tell should he decide to come clean
February 17th, 2006 at 5:27 pmWow.
“Your honor I haven’t finished throwing the bastards under the bus who have disavowed knowning me.”
“Mr. Abramoff I am going to grant you the time you need to continue throw your ex-friends under the bus.”
“Thank you your honor. I will comense with the under the bus throwing on Monday.”
February 17th, 2006 at 5:36 pmWhen I think of Abramoff squealing to the Feds, I’m reminded of Michael Corleone trying to convince Tom Hagen in Godfather II, that Hyman Roth could be killed: “Tom, you surprise me. If history has taught us anything, it’s that you kill anyone.”
February 17th, 2006 at 5:39 pmThey’re gonna kick the can down the road…….for 3 more years.
Then on the last day, there’ll be about 1000 pardons.
The press will applaud the Preznit’s ability to act selflessly for his country.
February 17th, 2006 at 5:40 pmI can bet this short little remark has the GOP pooping in it’s diapers.
February 17th, 2006 at 5:40 pmThese investigators might want to hire some temporary help, there’s quite the load of work ahead.
February 17th, 2006 at 5:42 pmHa! He knows so much he needs more time. Operation GOP Download in the Pants.
February 17th, 2006 at 5:48 pm#2 – Cool blog, Spudge. Is that new? Fabulous rundown on the Gonzales swear-in thing.
February 17th, 2006 at 5:49 pmWHat difference will it make. They will figure out a way to pardon anyone who took his money and cover this all up, just like the treason committed by Cheney and Bush.
February 17th, 2006 at 5:59 pmInteresting. Hate to say it, but this sounds like another DeLay tactic. With the lead prosecutor on his way to federal judgeship, Tom DeLay back on the judicial sub-committee for appropriations, and Gonzales refusing to recuse himself, I’d say there is a pattern.

February 18th, 2006 at 9:31 amZookeeper,
Yes, I just started a blog. Because I was tired of watching my work go into the archives. I want to be able to get to all of my facts, links and images quicker fro posting here at TP.
I got one on DeWine’s FISA amendment and a new one I am working on regarding the late 2001 Anthrax intimidation.
February 18th, 2006 at 12:49 pmyellodog – I am not convinced that this is not a stalling tactic. I know he doesn’t want to go to jail.
February 18th, 2006 at 2:46 pmThere’s many more than just Abramoff who is going to sing like an Opera Star! My personaly story includes more than a few crosses with Abramoff/Gus Boulis as it also involves Money Laundering in more than a few Laundromats partially used for Political Corruption. Beleive me, we are only at the tip of a huge icegerg and THEY KNOW IT! This is one reason why they need to try to stop progress. But can they? I’m afraid that continued collective interest to openly stop progress may result in something more serious later. Right now, it’s much TOO obvious for everyone’s brain.
February 18th, 2006 at 4:30 pmI say give him all the time he wants. Just keep prodding him to tell all. Go Jackie Go!
