VIDEO: The untold story of Katrina.

While the media has largely focused on the impact that Hurricane Katrina had on New Orleans, St. Bernard Parish, a suburban community to the east of New Orleans, befell a much worse fate. The entire area was wiped out and declared unliveable. This is their story.

Criminals who tortured and killed a young hostage, keeping him naked and hooded and burning him repeatedly before throwing him from a train, were inspired by images from Iraq, according to a French prosecutor.

    THANK YOU AMERICA

Smeg I really like your post you don’t pull any punches and that is what America needs.

We had snow here in middle Tennessee this weekend which meant those of us who are outdoors people were taking advantage of the wonderful snow fall.

I am a runner/cyclist/backpacker so I wason the trails Saturday running great way to clear ones head and was hoping to run into frist the non senator doctor.

Sunday morning I got up early to run the trails in PWP again but the trails were caked with ice from the trail people the day before so I opted to run the roads in PWP as I was climbing up 3 mile hill (tha bitch as we loving call her) I came upon a SUV (a Rodeo mid priced) So as a good neighbor I stopped my run and knocked on the window and tried to help this young person from Louisiana he had his 2 yr old daughter with him. we chatted he decided to wait for help and I asked him if Katrina blew him into Nashville he said, yeah it did and I said, did this adminstration help you with your home and to rebuild he said and I quote. ‘we haven’t seen a damn thing from this adminstration” this young man was probably in his late 20’s I said I am so sorry that this admisntration used Louisiana for its own purpose and has left you all in the cold.

This adminstration is practicing Genocide in a way that it doesn’t show up as genocide until the morals of all Americans has been destroyed then it will be acceptable to see the old,the young, the poor die among us. America then has died. When gwbush said,Sometimes you have to shake hands with the devil. He meant what he said and we have.

When gwbush said, the enemy is among us he was serious and he meant that we had put into power our greatest threat to our Country and that threat was him and those behind him to take over America and Foreign Countries out of the need for greed, power and control. We have our own Dicator and this year will be the telling one in how we handle this Monster that was created by the Neo Cons.

    Certainly a horrifying scene…

But on the journalistic side, that was a horribly done and edited video.

more popular siblings always get the attention, don’t they?

    Email Trail…

Hurricane Katrina. The administration just can’t dig itself out of this hole. Every time somebody tries to put a decent spin on how everything was handled, another string of emails just seems to appear! And, some amazing video, too….

Doesn’t the number of comments on this thread really illuminate something beyond katrina. Think about it, the current Administration is telling us non-stop night and day we are at War against the terrorist and they are trying , however nefariously, to convince the American people we cannot afford to have another 911. Look at the numbers, haven’t more people died in car accidents and the total monetary estimates of loss from katrina are bigger than 911? But why do we choose to fight the boogey man then fight in a responsive manner to a natural catastrophy? What because there is no constitutional obligation to rebuild New Orleans and compensate it’s residents? Because real every day decisions would have to be made and a real accountability for rebuilding N.O. might actually involve real pain? How shamefull is that?

Thanks for the link to that video. It was very powerful, and extremely well done. I forwarded the link to everyone I know.
