That’s not even considered a “tip”.

I don’t know why everyone is focusing on chump change. It is MEFTA (Mid. East Free Trade Agree.) that will bring big oil billions in tariff savings alone. Combine this with regional telecom and the hundred other investments after passage and we are talking BIG GREEN FABRIC.

    Just a little something for being a good stooge….er…I mean customer….er I mean business partner….er I mean human being….er I mean…I like chimps so here’s a mil.

  4. toys says:

Why so much room needed for two books? My Pet Goat doesn’t take much room, and the ‘Fascism for Dummies’ book is usually in the oval office…

Boy am I glad money doesn’t corrupt people any more! In the past, this kind of thing would look a little funny. But not in New America.

Does junior even know what a library is?

  6. Zookeeper says:

    Don’t forget the pop-up books & coloring books…

The library is the chimps daddys.

Bush Library Foundation?…Pardon me, but does anyone see the irony in this? What does he stock the shelves with: How to sell out America to our enemies?

  11. toys says:

#11, some people are just born with that talent, sort of adepts at selling out and telling everyone how much better everything is.

I don’t think that is something you can learn and do well at. But we’ll see. Perhaps Rove will join the faculty of ‘College of the Americas’, and then we can see how easy it is to teach.

GEORGE W. BUSH PRESIDENTIAL LIBRARY DESTROYED BY FLOOD Crawford, Texas (AP)

A tragic flood this morning destroyed the personal library of President George W. Bush. The flood began in the presidential bathroom where the books were kept. Both books have been lost. A presidential spokesman said the president was devastated, as he had almost finished coloring the second one. The White House tried to call FEMA but there was no answer.

That $1,000,000 ought to buy alot of black magic markers.

  20. toys says:

I would think that the handlers will do just what they did in Texas when Bush43 left: Box up all his papers and whisk them away to never be seen again?

So why would Bush43 need a library? Somehow I don’t see any reason for one.

    Clif,

    Calm down partner…

    …read my post #9…

…the “Carlyle Group” refers (not in the post but common knowledge of his status as a “founder” and “former”-yeah riiight- investor along w/the, Sauds and bin Ladens) to George HW Bushiva (41)…

    …but you can bet…

…the son (Bushiva 43) is as thick as the rest of the thieves…

    thus

    …no harm, no foul…

  27. Keith H. says:

What language are you speakin’ there Clif?

  28. Jeff says:

Let’s be fair. I’ll bet the library will have many volumes by Dr. Suess. I understand he has almosr finished The Cat in the Hat.

  29. Clif says:

Keith when you said “I know it’s his daddy’s, I don’t give a damn, freaking loser should’ve pulled out.” my mind imediately flashed yes but not for pulling out of and election 43 did not win but 41 before 43 was created, and laughed, yes 41 could have saved us a whole lot of trouble with one stragetic withdrawl.

As you can possibly see, I have an injury myself — not here at the hospital, but in combat with a Cedar. I eventually won. The Cedar gave me a little scratch. As a matter of fact, the Colonel asked if I needed first aid when she first saw me. I was able to avoid any major surgical operations here, but thanks for your compassion, Colonel.

Since I don’t have cable could someone please cite when Fox first reveals this? I shall not hold breath.

  37. Spudge_Boy says:

other wise we will look like the Bush43 bashers they always claim us to be

    Clif and mr ho,

Since I don’t give a rats ass what the right wing NeoCon paid trolls here think of me, I will continue to Bush Bash every chance I get. You outta talk to me in person. If there is anything I can hit Bush with I do it. I do it in every possible instance and I will never stop. I am a professional Bush Basher. I hate that mother fvcker. Yes, I said hate.

Besides, daddy Bush, sonny Bush. Whta’s the difference. Well, okay, the dad is smart and the son is stupid. But, If somebody gave my dad’s library a million dollars, I would fight for them.

Looky who else gave for the George H. W. Bush Library:

Other Arab donors include the state of Kuwait, the Bandar bin Sultan family, the Sultanate of Oman, King Hassan II of Morocco and the amir of Qatar. The former Korean prime minister and China also gave tens of thousands of dollars to the library.

See, Arabs aren’t bad as Bush would have us believe, they are part of the Bush family.

Notice Bandar Bush’s family gave money to the Library?

  38. Clif says:

Spudge bashing bush is easy, and I’m for it as long as the facts support it. In this case the story requires a more suttle understanding, UAE gave money to 41 for his library, and 43 is gung ho for a deal that doesn’t pass the smell test for UAE owned company DPW to take over US ports. The question is did the money for 41 influence the decision 43 made more than 41 and 43 connection to Carlyle which stands tto make money off the deal and the possibility of nixing the deal will make Daddy’s friends angry, and that might cost 41 and his friends money and then 43 doesn’t get any money for his comic book collection reposetory. Remember when we ignore the facts we look like IRI, MA, WW, Tracy, and a whole lot of others who troll thru to derail the truth.

  39. Spudge_Boy says:

Clif, you know I am all about facts. I pointed out the Bush 41 thing in my last post.

Did the money affect the green light? Hell yeah. Was it this million dollars alone? Hell no. Bush 41’s New World Order didn’t go away. It happened just like he said it would. Bush 43 is just picking up where daddy left off. He just goes about it in a stupid way.

Bush 41 smart. Bush 43 dumb.

I joined the Army under Bush 41 because he wasn’t stupid enough to get us into the “war” we are fighting right now.

  40. Clif says:

Spudge I DOunderstand but I am also all for the facts because not to have them leads to the Neo-con agenda we have now.

    Have you seen this yet;

    http://www.democraticleader.house.gov/pdf/AmericaForSale.pdf

    Long but good reading.

  41. Citizen80203 says:

    Look folks

The whole point of this story is the question of quid pro quo. What is Sheik wanting in return for a donation to “daddy’s” library?

I say it is just a donation of change from the ashtray. It is his way of saying; “we are partners”. Partners for what is the question unasked.

Partners in a free trade agreement is how I would answer that question.

  42. Vance says:

I thought his 8 years in office would be his “LIE-brary”.

  44. coal_train says:

The Dubya library location is yet to be determined at either SMU, Baylor, Univ Dallas, or Texas Tech. “SMU is widely considered the favorite. First lady Laura Bush received a degree in elementary education there in 1968 and now serves on its board. Vice President Dick Cheney was a trustee from 1996 to 2000, and several other top White House officials also have ties to the school.” http://www.theeagle.com/stories/022406/texas_20060224010.php
Around Texas they refer to Southern Methodist Univ as Southern Millionaire’s University.
Texas A&M has the Bush 41 library and tried for the 43 library, but lost out, and they have Robert Gates (former CIA director appointed by Bush 41) as the university president. College Station is where 41 jumped out of the airplane for his b-day a couple of years back. Lots of Bush lovers, military lovers (Aggie Corps of Cadets).

  45. Clif says:

Coal_train when I was at LSU they would add a f at the front of the Texas A&M’s moniker……

  47. Marie says:

    Bush’s library is an oxymoron.
$1 million is chump change for the UAE, so it is a nice tip to the man in the White House who serves the emirate’s federation so well.

  49. Paul in Mexico says:

Oh yes, George W. Bush will have a library. The biggest and the best that money can buy.

It will be a towering edifice, pointing up into the sky denoting the fact that during the Vietnam conflict our prez was defending the coast of Texas against any attack by the Vietnamese.

There will be sidewalks galore lined by Ginko trees, both male and female, so they can propogate freely throughout the mating season and pepper the sidewalks with their dark smelly messes.

Off to the left as you approach the entrance to the library, which by the way, houses not too many books because we had a president who could not read, you see his IQ was equal to his shoe size, you will see a huge pedestal. On that pedestal is the very Air Force jet trainer that our beloved king, I mean president, flew his many missions defending Texas during the Vietnam War.

Off to the right will be plaques thanking all of the terrist nations for their donations to the library.

    Clif,

NOW the criminal Bushiva bares his teeth…

…he shows the world that with his inbred base’s support he is “politically” invincible…

…the Houses of Bush and Saud are one against the Constitution, and America’s poor/middle working class masses…

…and the American poor/middle working class SUCKERS are footing the bills…

…our children, grandchildren and great-grands will be their progeny’s slaves for generations to come, because we were too cowardly to stop them…

…because we allow our friends, neighbors, and family members to betray us daily with their treasonous support for their false gods Bushiva and L’il Dick…

…every civilization has had its traitors…

…the Bushites among us, the IRIs, Tracys, Mighty Hermaphrodites, et al. are ours…

    …the question remains…

…what do we do about them?

USTDA GRANT SUPPORTS STUDY OF PROPOSED CONTAINER TERMINAL AT THE PORT OF DORALEH IN DJIBOUTI

    FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA – Earlier today, U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) Director Thelma J. Askey announced the award of a $348,378 grant to Dubai International Djibouti FZE (DID), a Djiboutian subsidiary of Dubai Ports International, to partially fund a feasibility study for the Port of Doraleh Container Terminal Project in Djibouti. Director Askey signed an agreement conferring the grant on behalf of the U.S. Government. Mr. Ted Bilkey, Executive Director for Dubai Ports International, signed the grant on behalf of DID.

The grant will be used to determine an appropriate design and size of a new container terminal that DID plans to build at Djibouti’s new Port of Doraleh, located approximately eight miles from the current Port of Djibouti. The container terminal is expected to expand to an annual capacity of 1.2 million TEU (twenty-foot equivalent units of a container), with 1,200 meters of quay length, and modern container handling equipment and computerized terminal systems. Han-Padron Associates, LLP, a New York-based transportation consulting company, was selected by DID to carry out the study.

Djibouti’s port services represent the country’s primary industry and the largest private-sector employer in the country, accounting for approximately 30 percent of the country’s gross domestic product. It is also the only point of entry for commercial traffic and donor aid to Ethiopia and serves as the exporting point for several countries in the region. The New Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPAD), an organization designed in part to facilitate regional partnership in infrastructure development, designated the Port of Doraleh as a priority project for regional trade capacity building.

The U.S. Trade and Development Agency advances economic development and U.S. commercial interests in developing and middle-income countries. The agency funds various forms of technical assistance, feasibility studies, training, orientation visits and business workshops that support the development of a modern infrastructure and a fair and open trading environment. USTDA’s strategic use of foreign assistance funds to support sound investment policy and decision-making in host countries creates an enabling environment for trade, investment and sustainable economic development. In carrying out its mission, USTDA gives emphasis to economic sectors that may benefit from U.S. exports of goods and services.
