Here’s what’s happening in Iraq:
On Thursday, sectarian violence between Shiite and Sunni Muslims left more than 100 people dead. The violence was sparked by Wednesday’s bombing of the Askariya shrine in Samarra, one of the holiest sites in Shiite Islam.
If you are having trouble interpreting the news, Karl Rove is here to help. Yesterday, he explained to Fox News’ Tony Snow that the bombing on the mosque would “likely” turn out to be a positive development:
SNOW: So you expect this [the bombing of the mosque] is going to strengthen the opposition to the terrorists?
ROVE: I think it could. I think it’s likely to.
The good news from Iraq keeps pouring in.
Rove doesn't know anything about foreign policy. Too bad he's making all the decisions.
February 24th, 2006 at 9:41 amWow...sudden stimulation in the deep, deep recesses of the "HOLY F#CK, I can't believe what I'm reading" lobe of my brain....usually stimulated by a link to a Washington Times or WSJ article...
It's that old adage--if THIS is good, I'd hate to see bad.
February 24th, 2006 at 9:43 amWhy does this guy still have a job?
February 24th, 2006 at 9:47 amIraq headed for a civil war
February 24th, 2006 at 9:51 amWe'de better hurry up and sell our seaports to the terrorists or else they will win!
February 24th, 2006 at 9:55 amHow about we outsource our government .. that might save a few bucks in deficit
February 24th, 2006 at 9:57 amPLEASE, Patrick Fitzgerald, SAVE US!!!!!
February 24th, 2006 at 9:58 amI think our government is already outsourced to Insanea.
February 24th, 2006 at 10:00 amRove has been spinning so fast for so long he's dizzy.
February 24th, 2006 at 10:02 amDid I see this or something like it as a topic on the F-word network? Civil War Might be Good.
February 24th, 2006 at 10:03 am...and 9/11 was good for America because I could we could grab more power than we ever imagined!
February 24th, 2006 at 10:04 amJudd - quit cheering for more death in Iraq. It's disgusting how gleeful liberals are when something goes wrong in Iraq.
February 24th, 2006 at 10:06 amQuit characterizing my remarks. I'm not cheering death in Iraq. I'm saying it's a terrible situation. It's Rove who is trying to spin it into a positive.
February 24th, 2006 at 10:09 amThe war will cost 1.9 billion

Etc, etc, etc
I am echoing #11's thoughts.....
February 24th, 2006 at 10:14 amjust can't get the sight of Dubious reading a children's book while his staff fidgits and twitches..... not saying he knew anything, I'm not THAT naive, but I can imagine Rove/Cheney having told him: "If anything bad ever does happen, boy, just sit tight till we get a handle on things"
Most of the people that are bombing and killing are Iraqis. So for Rove to say that this will strengthen the opposition means that this will escalate the fighting between the different groups of Iraqis....basically civil war. Yep I agree with Karl...for once.
February 24th, 2006 at 10:17 amDoes anyone think there is a possiblity of recalling the election of 2004? Like the Republicans did to Gray Davis in 2003?
February 24th, 2006 at 10:23 amSo here's a question for you. When we watch television for 24 hours straight, randomly changing the channel, this coming weekend, how many times do you think you'll find Rove mentioned?
http://www.24HoursOfTV.com
February 24th, 2006 at 10:26 amSmack! Ouch, Hey Sammy Alioto...I could feel the breeze from that slap from here. Musta hurt, huh?
Rove's job is a spinmeister and Phaux Pnews are their alterboys. Karls puts lipstick on every pig and calls it beautiful cause that's what he gets paid for.
Now as far as Karl being an unmarried 50 something hanging around with alterboys, I ain't going there. Hey Sammy, Karl is cooing for you though.
February 24th, 2006 at 10:27 amSoon to be de-classified:
February 24th, 2006 at 10:27 amKarl Rove is Dick Cheney's illegitimate child.
#12 your SICK!
How can you possibly accuse Judd or anyone else you deem "liberal" of cheering death?
I just deleted a couple of paragraphs of retort because feeding a troll is pointless and your simply not worth it.
I can see that this "cheering death" thing will become the new rethug attack on "Amerika hatin' libs".
Divided we fall
February 24th, 2006 at 10:28 amSo here's a question ... When we watch 24 hours of TV straight this weekend, randomly changing channels every 15 minutes, how many times do you think we'll hear Rove mentioned (or speaking)?
http://www.24HoursOfTV.com
(Sorry if this is a duplicate -- my first post acted oddly.)
February 24th, 2006 at 10:29 amFor Karl Rove, sh*t and Shinola are exactly the same. What a cold-blooded bastage he is.
February 24th, 2006 at 10:29 amWe can easily guess why Karl wasn't the front man pushing burgers and health care at wendy's corporate headquarters that week......
February 24th, 2006 at 10:31 am"You better go do it, boy....."
If we could only get a little blond seven-year-old boy in front of Karl Rove, we could distract him from further destroying the country and keep him busy with his favorite hobby. Does Rick Santorum have any kids we could sacrifice to Karl?
February 24th, 2006 at 10:37 amthat is funny skippy, but that might be a tad over the line. Granted, I insinuated as much, but my insinuations at least conjered up consenting adults.
February 24th, 2006 at 10:42 amSantorum won't even give up his dead fetuses; you will never get a live on.
February 24th, 2006 at 10:42 amQ: So do you think more bombings in the U.S. could strengthen the opposition to the terrorists?
ROVE: I think it could. I think it's likely to.
Translation - Rove and the administration that he controls want more attacks like these to ensure a stronger opposition to the war on terrorism - holding both sides in a fearful embrace - thus allowing them to remain in power.
February 24th, 2006 at 10:49 amnot when they're blaming us, it won't hurt the terrorists...
February 24th, 2006 at 10:50 amRove's comments prove he is a FASCIST and a degenerate person! Call your Representatives and Senators to demand that Rove be fired and put into prison at GITMO!
February 24th, 2006 at 10:52 amIf Rove thinks the mosque bombing will turn out be a good thing, raise your hand if you think the U.S. was behind the plot.
February 24th, 2006 at 10:59 amYou gotta love Robin Williams……
Even if he’s nuts! Leave it to Robin
Williams to come up with the perfect
plan. What we need now is for our
UN Ambassador to stand up and
repeat this message.
Robin Williams’ plan…(Hard to
argue with this logic!)
“I see a lot of people yelling for peace
but I have not heard of a plan for
peace. So, here’s one plan.â€
1) “The US will apologize to the world for our “interference†in their affairs, past &present. You know, Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, Tojo, Noriega, Milosevic, Hussein, and the rest of those “good ole boysâ€, we will never “interfere†again.
2) We will withdraw our troops from all over the world, starting with Germany, South Korea, the Middle East, and the Philippines. They don’t want us there. We would station troops at our borders. No one allowed sneaking through holes in the fence.
3) All illegal aliens have 90 days to get their affairs together and leave. We’ll give them a free trip home. After 90 days the remainder will be gathered up and deported immediately, regardless of whom or where they are. They’re illegal!!! France will welcome them.
4) All future visitors will be thoroughly checked and limited to 90 days unless given a special permit!!!! No one from a terrorist nation will be allowed in. If you don’t like it there, change it yourself and don’t hide here. Asylum would never be available
to anyone. We don’t need any more cab drivers or 7-11 cashiers.
5) No foreign “students†over age 21. The older ones are the bombers. If they don’t attend classes, they get a “D†and it’s back home baby.
6) The US will make a strong effort
to become self-sufficient energy wise. This will include developing nonpolluting sources of energy but will require a temporary drilling of oil in the Alaskan wilderness. The caribou will have to cope for a while.
7) Offer Saudi Arabia and other oil producing countries $10 a barrel for their oil. If they don’t like it, we go someplace else. They can go somewhere else to sell their production. (About a week of the wells filling up the storage sites would be enough.)
8) If there is a famine or other natural catastrophe in the world, we will not “interfere.†They can pray to Allah or whomever, for seeds, rain, cement or whatever they need. Besides most of what we give them is stolen or given
to the army. The people who need
it most get very little, if anything.
9) Ship the UN Headquarters to an isolated island someplace. We don’t need the spies and fair weather friends here. Besides, the building would make a good homeless shelter or lockup for illegal aliens.
10) All Americans must go to charm and beauty school. That way, no one can call us “Ugly Americans†any longer. The Language we speak is ENGLISH…learn it…or LEAVE…Now, isn’t that a winner of a plan?
“The Statue of Liberty is no longer
saying “Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses.†She’s got a baseball bat and she’s yelling, ‘you want a piece of me?’ â€
If you agree with the above forward
February 24th, 2006 at 11:10 amit to friends…If not, and I would be amazed, DELETE it!!
copy and paste this and send it to everyone you know. even the congress, senators and let them know if you don't do anything for the american folks we won't see you in the seat.
February 24th, 2006 at 11:11 am"SNOW: So you expect this [the bombing of the mosque] is going to strengthen the opposition to the terrorists?
ROVE: I think it could. I think it’s likely to."
By who, Karl? The average Iraqi wasn't interested in terrorism anyway. All this has done is radicalize those who were "on the fence," giving them that final nudge they needed to resort to violence, and radicalize those on the other side, who want to defend themselves or right wrongs committed by the first group.
FOX isn't news, it's propaganda. Karl Rove is the scum of the Earth.
You mark my words: Bush is consciously leaving us open for another attack. He welcomes it. Then he can suspend the Constitution.
You don't expect Bush to willingly hand over power in 2008, do you?
February 24th, 2006 at 11:13 amRove’s comments prove he is a FASCIST and a degenerate person! Call your Representatives and Senators to demand that Rove be fired and put into prison at GITMO!
Comment by Jay Randal
Nonsense. He stated the obvious and I agree with him. The bombing of the mosque will further alienate the Iraqi people from the terrorists. What is interesting about this is the fact that so far the Shi'ite have not retaliated against the Sunni which of course is what the terrorists want to happen. This isn't the first sectarian atrocity committed by the foreign insurgency. There have been other mosque bombings, market bombings, bombings at Shi'ite religious gatherings yet there has been no great call from the majority of Iraq to take vengeance on the Sunni minority so they know who is behind it and why.
Rove it right once again.
February 24th, 2006 at 11:15 am# 32
February 24th, 2006 at 11:15 amit's a must read
This reminds me of a scene from the film 1984 where the protagonist was being interogated.
He had undergone a grueling amount of reconditioning, and in the end, the interogator asked,
"how many fingers an I holding up?" the protagonist answered,
"how many do you want me to say"
Rove is a master at propaganda. Too bad our liberal media is too timid to call him out.
February 24th, 2006 at 11:18 amRove and I-right-I live in a world populated with pixies and unicorns, protected by shiny rainbows.
February 24th, 2006 at 11:19 amBS Robin is a comedian and not really required to think through the effects of the policies he proposes, but too bad Rove, Bush, Cheney didn't take up comedy eh?
February 24th, 2006 at 11:20 ammaybe are elected officials need to. it seems to be robin has better ideas then the left and the right.
February 24th, 2006 at 11:22 ambut than again you don't need yale, harvard to become an elected official. you ever throws the best bullshlit out there worth of stepping on your elected. or the diebold machines. which ever works.
February 24th, 2006 at 11:25 amI-R-I > The Shia have been retaliating against the Sunni since the bombing of the shrine, but I guess FOX news failed to mention that > about a dozen Mosques have been torched in revenge! Reason why a curfew is in effect to try to stop sectarian strife! Over a hundred people have been killed in riots so far and several Sunni Religious Clerics!
February 24th, 2006 at 11:30 amThe civil war has begun, but Rove wants to inflame it!
The only 'positive' I saw was the joint sunni-shia prayers in Basra and Kut.
In Basra, where the Sunnis are outnumbered by alot, they probably participated to try to keep the peace and not get killed. They did both have common signs though - 'no to america'. Slightly amusing since they despise the British in the area as well.
There's no real positive though, it's all negative. The political leaders don't have a whole lot of strength, so their appeal to restraint means little.
Rove is a political spinner. He could make a nuclear attack on the united states into a positive (it brings all the people together under our president for life).
This is just an intensification of what's been going on for awhile, shiite death squads retaliating in response to Shiite deaths.
Now the militias are involved.
A civil war would be a huge negative for the entire region. Iran would get involved, probably, as would the Sunni governments that make up the majority of the population in the area. Remember Afghanistan back in the 80s? Yah, blind eye to letting their citizens fight in Iraq and financial support to kill the Shias (who are basically heretics in the view of Saudis).
Anyone catch some of the CNN discussion last night with Iraq based reporters? Apparently the US military is trying to decide when and if they intervene. That's pathetic. We've so lost control that we're debating when we should leave our alterreality fortresses.
February 24th, 2006 at 11:37 amIRI:"What is interesting about this is the fact that so far the Shi’ite have not retaliated against the Sunni"
You must be the most ignorant fvck on the planet.
February 24th, 2006 at 11:41 amOh, yeah, right the FBIs assault in Waco too appeased Tim McVeigh. Same logic.
February 24th, 2006 at 11:45 amRove failed to mention the bombing cause the imposition of martial law in Many Iraqi cities, but to Rove martial law is manna from heaven.
February 24th, 2006 at 11:48 amIRI, if Rove said eating small children was fine, you would agree. That, my dear, is what makes you useless and unpatriotic.
February 24th, 2006 at 11:56 amDon't forget, they blame us for it. They think the U.S. wants to impose sectarian strife to divide and conquer the muslim world. Your average Iraqi isn't much smarter than your average American. Remember all those American hicks who were gung ho to invade Iraq after 9/11? They had nothing to do with 9/11, so even if we had nothing to do with Samarra, watch out. They're going to react in a similar fashion. If we invaded Iraq as payback for 9/11, they will hit us hard as payback for Samarra.
February 24th, 2006 at 11:57 amRove is about winning, plain and simple. He doesn't care what is good for the country, he cares about what will make the public think he is working for them.
Only idiots believe everything they are spoon fed.
February 24th, 2006 at 11:57 amBush will go down in history as an example of what not to do.
Along with every dumb SOB who voted for him.

Naw, I knew there was some sporadic payback but that's not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about the leveling of Sunni towns, something the Shi'ite have the capability to do. In addition the two main Shia clerics have not called for revenge, just the opposite. There is no civil war until the big dogs get off the porch. Rove is right and I'm I-RIGHT-I.

Huh? Haven't been following whatever missing white woman they are covering over at Faux, but back in the reality-based world, there are a lot of reprisal attacks going on in Iraq.
February 24th, 2006 at 12:41 pm#54 There is no civil war until the big dogs get off the porch.
So the Soviet Revolution wasn't a war until the Czar not said "Woopsie, there are red army soldiers in my backyard!"? Following your logic, there is no conflict in Iraq, and don't exist "War on terrorism", because Congress don't signed any declaration of war and, in fact, "terrorism" isn't a country. Those pesky died soldiers in Iraq died by heart strokes. Yeah, right.
February 24th, 2006 at 12:43 pmHow many members of the Bush Administration are needed to change a light bulb?
1. One to deny that a light bulb needs to be changed.
2. One to attack the patriotism of anyone who says the light bulb needs to be changed.
3. One to decide that, yeah, it IS dark in here.
4. One to blame Clinton for burning out the light bulb.
5. One to tell the nations of the world that they are either for changing the light bulb or for darkness.
6. One to give a billion dollar no-bid contract to Haliburton for the new light bulb.
7. One to arrange a photograph of Bush, dressed as a janitor, standing on a step ladder under the banner: "Light Bulb Change Accomplished."
8. One administration insider to resign and write a book documenting in detail how Bush was literally in the dark.
9. One to viciously smear #8.
10. One surrogate to campaign on TV and at rallies on how George Bush has had a strong light-bulb-changing policy all along.
11. And finally, one to confuse Americans about the difference between screwing a light bulb and screwing the country.

Obviously you know little of the actual history of Iraq, where the Sunni minority has come out on top in every political upheaval since the british threw in the towel right after WW1. The shiites have more people but they never have been able to coordinate their numerical advantage. Also you leave out of your little rant the fact that the Syrians, Saudi, and the Jordanians would not stand idilly by if the Shiites really went after their Sunni brothers.

Ours is the only opinion that counts. Loser.
February 24th, 2006 at 2:15 pmThen why did America blow up the Shia holy Shrine in the central city of Samarra
February 24th, 2006 at 2:21 pmWe aren't gleeful asshole. We are outraged at the destruction that Bush has caused in Iraq. Getting rid of Saddam was a great thing, but he was not tied to 9/11. Bush didn't send enough troops, even though his military advisors told him to, which has led to what amunts to civil war.
If you said something like this to my face, I would knock you on your ass.
February 24th, 2006 at 2:35 pmOur Generals did blow up all the Mosques in Falluja, about a hundred of them, so why not this shrine for Dubya? Shias think U.S. did it! Maybe even Larry silverstein gave the orders to pull it
February 24th, 2006 at 2:41 pm#81
I don't normally indulge in feeding the trolls but, I can't let this go.
"Ours is the only opinion that counts. Loser."
This is PRECISELY the kind of myopic thinking that got us into this mess in the first place! Ours is the only opinion that counts? What about the opinion of the Iraqi people? Aren't my former comrades-in-arms fighting and dying there precisely to grant them the freedom to determine their own destiny in a free and democratic society? This is one of the many things that pisses the insurgents off about our occupation of their land: we call the shots and it's always, "Our way or the highway". Also, the insurgency is NOT, I repeat NOT, a foreign force. In fact, several members of our own intelligence community (read "Imperial Hubris" by Michael Scheuer) have stated unequivocally that approximately 95% of the insurgents are Iraqi nationals. This is not to mention that the Chinese, British, and many other countries may take umbrage with your assertion that our opinion is the only one that counts. President Bush holds (much to the chagrin of millions of people all over the world) the title of "President of the United States of America" not President of the World. When President John F. Kennedy approached President Charles Degaulle (France) regarding the Soviet Union putting missiles 90 miles off of our coast, he offered to declassify and show the President the imagery proving his assertion. President DeGaulle said, "Mr. President, your word is good enough for me." Those days are LONG GONE. President George W. Bush has destroyed our nation's credibility throughout the world. If we don't start taking steps to regain that credibility, our days as a super-power (much less the only super-power) are numbered. Essentially, your statement makes you sound like a 13 year old bully (much like the President often sounds). Bullies are an interesting phenomenon as they project strength out of weakness of character. You call him a loser. He may be, I don't know. I have, however, seen enough of your bloviating to determine that you are a coward and a fool.
February 24th, 2006 at 3:21 pmAlso you leave out of your little rant the fact that the Syrians, Saudi, and the Jordanians would not stand idilly by if the Shiites really went after their Sunni brothers.
Comment by Clif
They stood idly by when the US Marines royally kicked their Sunni Ba'thist asses for them and ran them out of power. USA! USA! The sectarian dimension to this conflict is important but I think it works in our favor. We are there in force and committed to a non-secular government of all the people. We'll be staying there until that's accomplished and the Shi'a majority will be behind that idea. Any report that the majority of Iraqi's want us out of Dodge is wrong. And to be clear, none of the countries you mention are going to lift a finger (in open) against the USA. Not a snowball's chance in hell of that.
February 24th, 2006 at 3:58 pmThat's weird, I decided against posting that when it got to the bit with that confirmation code...
February 24th, 2006 at 4:11 pmThere is a difference between the US Army, the US air Force, the US Navy, the US Marines, and the Iraqi Shiites.
If we left the Sunni's would control Iraq with in a year, read the article from the Army War College titled;
Reconstructing Iraq: Insights, Challenges, and Missions for Military Forces in a Post Confilct Scenario
Its by a few of the army's deep thinkers who do this for a living, and the article predicts all the mess that Iraq is now, too bad Rummy didn't read it or pay attention if he did.

February 24th, 2006 at 4:18 pmThe Iraqi Do want Americans out A.S.A.P contrary to I-RIGHT-I claims
From Cairo, Hope
Withdrawal Of Occupation Forces
We demand the withdrawal of foreign forces in accordance with a timetable, and the establishment of a national and immediate program for rebuilding the armed forces...that will allow them to guard Iraq’s borders and to get control of the security situationThough resistance is a legitimate right for all people, terrorism does not represent resistance. Therefore, we condemn terrorism and acts of violence, killing and kidnapping targeting Iraqi citizens and humanitarian, civil, government institutions, national resources and houses of worship.
The communiqué’s feisty tone was facilitated by the conspicuous and unexplained absence of U.S. representatives. By shunning the conference, administration officials missed the beginning of a process that has within it the seeds of real progress toward peace. In addition to more than 100 Shia, Sunni and Kurdish participants, the conference was attended by Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak and Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika and the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Syria and Iran—but no U.S. officials. The gathering was strongly supported not only by the Arab League but also by the U.N., EU and the Organization of the Islamic Conference.

February 24th, 2006 at 4:23 pmHAHA..
BS..no one cares that you are a vet.
If you fight for a cause that supports the imperialist desires of this country..thats actually working against you..
as for coming up w/ something on my own?
i'll just go through your precious list one by one
and give you something to think about rather than
a expected rebuttal:
1)“The US will apologize to the world for our “interference†in their affairs, past &present. You know, Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, Tojo, Noriega, Milosevic, Hussein, and the rest of those “good ole boysâ€, we will never “interfere†again.
- don't forget to have them also apoligize to all of Western Africa (along with all the Diaspora currently living on this land), Hiroshima, Nagasaki, Vietnam, Cambodia, Chile..just for starters...(and be specific..throw in a tear or two about agent orange...make them think you really CARE)
We will withdraw our troops from all over the world, starting with Germany, South Korea, the Middle East, and the Philippines. They don’t want us there. We would station troops at our borders. No one allowed sneaking through holes in the fence.
- GREAT! and while you're at it..have our gov pay reparations for all the 'collateral damages' caused over the years to the various countries raped by US apathy.
and does this include GITMO too? will we send the prisoners back to their respective lands?
3) All illegal aliens have 90 days to get their affairs together and leave. We’ll give them a free trip home. After 90 days the remainder will be gathered up and deported immediately, regardless of whom or where they are. They’re illegal!!! France will welcome them.
i'm sure you're talking about illegal canadians too right? hahah. i won't even waist the energy on that one.
hahhahhah!
4) All future visitors will be thoroughly checked and limited to 90 days unless given a special permit!!!! No one from a terrorist nation will be allowed in. If you don’t like it there, change it yourself and don’t hide here. Asylum would never be available
to anyone. We don’t need any more cab drivers or 7-11 cashiers.
great..but remember, as a world power, this country heavily sways the actions of other coutries. hopefully they will follow our lead and do the same to US citizens trying to travel abroad.
5) No foreign “students†over age 21. The older ones are the bombers. If they don’t attend classes, they get a “D†and it’s back home baby.
ohh..'the older ones are the bombers.' well that settles it. I guess if you're 20, you can't figure out which shiny red button to press. (or how to operate a cel phone since those are used to detonate as well). US students studying abroad will also be forced to return..
6) The US will make a strong effort
to become self-sufficient energy wise. This will include developing nonpolluting sources of energy but will require a temporary drilling of oil in the Alaskan wilderness. The caribou will have to cope for a while.
- this would be the only respectable part of this verbal vomit if it mentioned Solar Energy or biofuels supported by independent farmers that would bolster our economy.
7) Offer Saudi Arabia and other oil producing countries $10 a barrel for their oil. If they don’t like it, we go someplace else. They can go somewhere else to sell their production. (About a week of the wells filling up the storage sites would be enough.)
what the hell? this is contradictory to #6! why offer them anything if the US is really trying to be self sufficient? see thats part of the prob..our country is heavily run by corporations w/ their claws in foreign soil for resources. If we ran on solar energy..no one would need these companies (GE, halliburton.. etc), and the power structure of this country would DRASTICALLY change..but those in power don't want that.
8) If there is a famine or other natural catastrophe in the world, we will not “interfere.†They can pray to Allah or whomever, for seeds, rain, cement or whatever they need. Besides most of what we give them is stolen or given
to the army. The people who need
it most get very little, if anything.
sure thing..but they won't do anything for us either in the event that we need anything.
also, double check to make sure that the people that need it most are not in countries that the US has historically robbed.
9) Ship the UN Headquarters to an isolated island someplace. We don’t need the spies and fair weather friends here. Besides, the building would make a good homeless shelter or lockup for illegal aliens.
who would own that island? this sh*t doesn't even make sense..next.
10) All Americans must go to charm and beauty school. That way, no one can call us “Ugly Americans†any longer. The Language we speak is ENGLISH…learn it…or LEAVE…Now, isn’t that a winner of a plan?
this is ignorant.
keep in mind that those 'illegals' who don't speak english often work terrible jobs for wages no American would dare.
in essence..our economy unfortunately thrives of the hard work from the same people you bash.
by the way..i did find a point by point rebuttal for your spewage..but decided to come up w/ MY OWN ideas before even reading it... something you're apparantly incapable of doing.
check it out - http://www.phillyfuture.org/blog/207
haaahaha (still laughing at your stupidity.)
February 24th, 2006 at 4:39 pmWell well, Catalyst, you have provided all of us insight and at the same time, you have effectively reduced one of our most prolific and utterly absurd trolls of the day to little more than a side show.
Hats off to you, Catalyst, and shame on your hatred and fear, bs. When you reread what you posted, you should really use a bit of introspection. Don't read it while Rush or O'Riley are playing in the background; read it in silence what you have posted. Think about who you are and who you wish to be portrayed as.
February 24th, 2006 at 4:55 pmHey Catalyst....
I was just over at the BBC website and this story made me think of you!
Oh Baaaaaby.
February 24th, 2006 at 5:07 pmThis is PRECISELY the kind of myopic thinking that got us into this mess in the first place! Ours is the only opinion that counts? What about the opinion of the Iraqi people?
Comment by green917
Hardly myopic, we're looking at the big picture. Sorry but only a few of us are allowed a peek at that. The Iraqi people? Oh yeah, let's ask them how we should protect ourselves from their Muslim head chopping brothers. That's a real well thought out plan you've got.
Aren’t my former comrades-in-arms fighting and dying there precisely to grant them the freedom to determine their own destiny in a free and democratic society?
Are you f'ing kidding me? 10,000 free ragheads is not worth 1 US Marine. What planet are you on?
This is one of the many things that pisses the insurgents off about our occupation of their land: we call the shots and it’s always, “Our way or the highwayâ€.
So now you want to consult with the enemy how we should conduct our own security? You are nuts. By the way, the damned insurgents for the most part are not Iraqi. Those that are Iraqi are Saddam's boys and or paid for by the Iranians and Syrians. There ya go, a little peek at the big picture for you.
Also, the insurgency is NOT, I repeat NOT, a foreign force.
In fact, several members of our own intelligence community (read “Imperial Hubris†by Michael Scheuer) have stated unequivocally that approximately 95% of the insurgents are Iraqi nationals.
The guys on the ground tell me they are Jordainian, Saudi, Syrian, Iranian and Ba'thist. Now who you going to believe, the people capturing these killers or some dipshit writing a book?
This is not to mention that the Chinese, British, and many other countries may take umbrage with your assertion that our opinion is the only one that counts.
Screw them.
President Bush holds (much to the chagrin of millions of people all over the world) the title of “President of the United States of America†not President of the World.
Screw them too.
When President John F. Kennedy approached President Charles Degaulle (France) regarding the Soviet Union putting missiles 90 miles off of our coast, he offered to declassify and show the President the imagery proving his assertion. President DeGaulle said, “Mr. President, your word is good enough for me.†Those days are LONG GONE.
Those days were never here to begin with. Nations do not have allies, they only have interests. By the way, DeGaulle was a cheese eating surrender monkey and ratbastardcommiemofo.
President George W. Bush has destroyed our nation’s credibility throughout the world. If we don’t start taking steps to regain that credibility, our days as a super-power (much less the only super-power) are numbered.
George has enhanced our credibility by doing exactly what he said he was going to do and not backing down. We are free and the greatest nation on earth because we kick ass and only because we kick ass. If left up to whining, appeasing little chickenshit liberals we'd all be speaking Russian. Instead the Russians speak English.
Essentially, your statement makes you sound like a 13 year old bully (much like the President often sounds). Bullies are an interesting phenomenon as they project strength out of weakness of character. You call him a loser. He may be, I don’t know. I have, however, seen enough of your bloviating to determine that you are a coward and a fool.
I stand by my statement and will add that the entire world can take a flying fuck if they expect us to roll over and die. I include you in there too. Loser.

From 100 yards I can place one of those silent stingers right in your ass. Be sure and let me know if you decide to come down this way and what you'll be wearing. Thanks.
February 24th, 2006 at 5:34 pmBasically Most Americans are waiting for the wealth to come from stealing Iraqs oil wealth and possibly Irans too (( as in American Battle plans for Iran here http://www.craigmurray.co.uk/ archives/ 2006/ 02/ battle_plans_fo_1.html
The democrats I think dont speak out against the war because monkey boy Bush just might manage to steal all the worlds oil reserves …therefore most say morgage paying americans , workers fear for the future ……If Bush pulls this steal off …and America becomes rich again the democatrats will look very foolish …I think

Brokebutt Mounties Strike Again
What's this got to do with cats? Nothing.
RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) -- The Army has charged seven paratroopers from the celebrated 82nd Airborne Division with engaging in sex acts in video shown on a Web site, authorities said Friday.
Three of the soldiers face courts-martial on charges of sodomy, pandering and engaging in sex acts for money, according to a statement released Friday by the military.
Four other soldiers, whose names were not released, received nonjudicial punishments.
The Army has recommended that all be discharged.
The charges do not mention the name of the site, but the division has said previously it was investigating allegations that soldiers appeared on a gay pornography Web site. A spokesman for the division said Friday the charges are a result of that investigation.
The military-themed Web site on which the Army has said soldiers appeared does not make any direct reference to the division or Fort Bragg, a sprawling post about 70 miles south of Raleigh.
"As far as we're concerned, it's isolated to the unit, and our investigation determined that these seven individuals were the only ones" involved, said 82nd Airborne spokesman Maj. Thomas Earnhardt.
Earnhardt said the three soldiers charged criminally under the Uniform Code of Military Justice had been appointed military attorneys, but he said the lawyers would be unavailable for comment on Friday.
The three soldiers who face courts-martial are: Spc. Richard T. Ashley, Pfc. Wesley K. Mitten and Pvt. Kagen B. Mullen. The Army did not release their ages or hometowns, but said all seven paratroopers were members of the 2nd Battalion of the 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment.
The nonjudicial punishment received by the four other soldiers included reduction to the rank of private, 45 days of restriction to the unit area, 45 days of extra duty and forfeiture of a month's pay.
The registered owner of the Web site's domain name lists an address in Fayetteville, the city that adjoins Fort Bragg. A phone number listed for the registered owner was not in service Friday, and e-mails to the owner have been regularly returned as undeliverable.
The 15,000 paratroopers of the 82nd Airborne are among the Army's most elite soldiers, all having volunteered to serve in a unit that trains to deploy anywhere in the world within 18 hours.
The military's "don't ask, don't tell" policy states that "homosexual orientation alone is not a bar to service, but homosexual conduct is incompatible with military service." Service members who violate the policy are removed from the military.
February 24th, 2006 at 7:05 pmNo I am just playing with him we exchange emails a bit and I'm willing to call him on his BS here, in email at least he's not so full of bluster, if you look back through the threads you'll find the email he left..... more honest dialogue is what solves most differences, just like the founding fathers thought, so I guess the constitution is not just a god damn piece of paper as some less intellectualy evolved members of this society claim.......

February 24th, 2006 at 7:18 pmDon't you mean a major's privates;i.e., prick? No alteration required.
No its an old joke from my enlisted days, we had a private who snuck around as a lieutenant, but got alot of grief from higher ranking officers, (alot of 2nd lieutenants get harrassed as you know walt) so the private-lieutenant decided he needed a promotion, and you can guess the rest except a captain actually had the balls to call him out when the 2nd lt went to major in one day, so he gets busted and we called him private-major from then on...

Clif- I have a cat, well it's more like she has a human. Anyway, she is 9 years old, silver-grey /white, with an exclamation point on her face. It starts on her forehead, and the "point" is on her nose. She's half siamese, half "handsome stranger". And the most bizzare creature you could imagine. She has a "foot fetish", she NEEDS to sniff them. Bare feet are her weakness, and if they stink, she is in heaven ! The really yucky feet give her what I like to call "good toe face". Her eyes close halfway, and her mouth hangs open, and her tounge hangs out. REALLY FUNNY!!! Yes, I do adore my furry child.

It's about the violence towards defenseless animals that we domesticated for our own pleasure (i.e. hedonism, not liberalism). If you want to be angry - be angry at their irresponsible owners who allow them to roam.

February 25th, 2006 at 11:41 amWho cares about shities, sunnis, or bombed out mosques? I'm just glad to hear that Mr. Rove is recommending that our President will be soon scheduling a visit in the near future to the Mississippi Gulf Coast so that he can deliver another one of his rousing "Mission Accomplished" speeches. We need the help and cheer down here, more than they do in Iraq, the UEA, or Afganistan. I'm encouraged to hear that the trip has been scheduled for the 1st of April. The weather here on the Gulf Coast is so pleasant that time of year, I'm sure the response will be fantastic and the TV momment can be captured just in time for those election year photo-ops that Mr. Rove is so famous for preparing.
If its not too much to ask of Mr. Rove's busy schedule, I'm personally wondering why FEMA appears to have sent my long-requested trailer to Iraq instead of delivering it to me? Mr. Rove can you direct me to someone in FEMA who can explain this to me? I've heard an awful rumor that it must first be transhipped via Dubai by some port official named "bin Laden" and then onto the port at New Orleans or otherwise it can not leave Arkansas. Worse, I've heard more recently a rumor that there will be a 45 day delay in all this.
Mr. Rove, please tell me that this just isn't true. I really need the president's help in getting this straigtened out as I can't seem to find anyone in the agency who can tell me when it will be delivered.
P.S. If the rumor is true, can you please ask the Vice President to ride shotgun so that no terrorists will be messing with my trailer during its transhipment. I've heard he's quite a good shot and that you have been whispering all over D.C. that it would be best if he left the country for a while. Everyone says he likes to remain in hiding a lot so that he feels more protected and important. Evidently, NOBODY KNOWS where by trailer is, so it would make a perfect hide-out. Maybe the V.P. can ask that bin-Laden fellow when he gets to Dubai, I've heard he too is always on the lookout for a great hide-out. I only ask that they clean up after themselves. Thanks.
February 27th, 2006 at 11:01 pmI am sure Rove also thinks that bombing the hell out of Iran would have wonderful benefits.
