So, Frist’s “brilliant” idea is to pretend they are doing a real investigation for 45 days, at the end of which, after handing out sufficient bribes, will be approved again ?? To hell with that crappola !! I can only hope that the Dems will see through this latest scheme of theirs. But….

What is sad is that you now having this debate about terrorist ties with yourselves.
DP has already said that they are going to cut operations for US ports loose and have them dealt with by someone else till you can sort your bipartisan xenophobia out. These ports simply aren’t important enough for them to hold up the rest of the P&O takeover.
They said that in order to be able to deal with America a policy of segregation was required. What a win for the progressives.

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Fistfights broke out and police made 17 arrests Saturday at a neo-Nazi rally and march through a predominantly black neighborhood.

In khaki uniforms, tall black boots and red arm patches bearing swastikas, about 30 members of the National Socialist Movement were barricaded on one side by SWAT team members at the rally. On the other side of the SWAT officers, a group of about 100 black-clad counter-demonstrators, many covering their faces with black masks, held anti-Nazi signs.Figures, Florida and a Bush Governor And Neo-Nazis. Why didnt he Make a free Speech ‘ZONE’ for the ‘Nationalists’ as he does for Democrats or any one whom isnt pro nationa neo-nazi Bush?”
Several counter-demonstrators were arrested before the march officially began when pockets of violence erupted, police said. It was not immediately clear whether anyone was hurt.

It is the Middle East Free Trade Agreement (MEFTA) that is the prime mover behind the DP World deal. Billions in profits are at stake. Billions in tariffs and billions flowing in a natural gas pipeline from Oman (also negotiating in MEFTA). As we post now, a MEFTA conference is taking place in Bahrain. “UAE remains an important priority for us,†Shaun Donnelly, assistant US trade representative for Europe and the Middle East, told reporters. “It’s very important in building over time the Middle East free trade area.â€
The pressure exerted upon the GOP caucus in the next few days will be colossal. They must be bribed or forced into cooperation. Following these negotiations the GOP caucus will receive the bonus from the energy and oil industry. Flush with cash the GOP will make the case of national security in the form of Naval and Air Force Bases along the Gulf. Then they will approve phase one of MEFTA, the Oman treaty, in the coming months. This is where economic & national security will meld. National and economic security will be portrayed as one and the same, “Securing the nation through strength and tradeâ€. The GOP is betting that enough cash will allow retention of at least one if not both houses, and they may well be correct.

After all, there is the matter of the $8-billion “deposit” to the Carlyle Group (for Daddy) and the $1-million dollar bribe, uh, “contribution” to the Little Shrub’s presidential library, even though all its contents will be classified and only leaked to the public by Scooter Libby while he is on vacation from Club Fed for having been shot in the face while hunting in Afghanistan with the UAE royal family, Dead Eye Dick, and Osama Bin Laden.
And democrats, even with the proposed 45-day extension, lack sufficient time to grow a pair or a spine and will instead send Joe Lieberman to hold hands with the royal family and Little Shrub while they all sing “Cumbaya”.
See? America is clearly safe and secure. Trust me.

They had to appear as outraged as the demos to save face with the public and not tank their election chances in November. This deal IS going to fly, watch and see. If so, ALL incumbents need to be turned out in November. As a matter of fact they all should be turned out anyway and start fresh with ones that actually give a crap about our country.
