And as Bush comes under more attacks, the Neo-Cons rather than admit he is a failed president are saying he is really a "Liberal". Same old tactic, but surrealistic this time calling Bush a liberal is like saying Hitler was a Jewish Sympathizer.
Whatever you say, Trent. Just don't expect King George to care. You got a vote; he's got a veto, signing statements, executive orders, the ability to withold Katrina funds, the right to spy on you, the right to torture you, the Texan swift-boat mafia, KKKarl Rove, Darth Birdshot, Alberto Goonzales, God, the nukular button thingy, Airforce 1, and all kinds of other cool presidential toys and shit to unload on people who think they got a bigger codpiece.
You screw with the King, he'll knock your house down again. Capiche?
Even if the Senate overrules the veto (assuming they even decide to oppose it, I still think they will cave in, even the Lott constituency), I think Chimpy will sign an exec. order and the deal will go through - it's just one more turn of the handle for the Organgrinders...
Wow.Mr.Lott is picking up that gossamere gauntlet.Gonna slap bush.Stage managing the newest debacle for the sake of the cons.Of course he may be miffed about his insurance not covering the hurricane damage to his manse. If bush wants to sit on his porch maybe he should pick up that tab.
Lott is just mad because Bush and Frist threw him under the buss for the remarks at Strom's B-day bash. He'd love to stick it to them but he know he can't so he rants. He was all for demonising the opposition when he was the majority leader but he got the same treatment that everyone gets who becomes a liability to Bush-Cheney. He needs to have some tea with Libby, Lay, Abrarmoff, so they can share their "horror" stories about how bad they got what they used to give...
I wonder if Sen. Lott is making this claim because of:
1 - It's stupid to allow a country that supports terrorism to control an American port.
2 - He's trying to distance himself from Pres. Bush and his failed policies before the mid-term elections, and will claim "I'm not a rubber-stamp politician! I think for myself!"
3 - Someone disagreed with him.
As much as I hope #1, I doubt Sen. Lott would place partisanship behind American Security.
As much as I'm joking about #3, I wouldn't be too surprised if it were true.
Personally, I think it's #2. "I'm not a rubber-stamp politician! I've been told that I think for myself!"
#5 So true and so ironic. They will turn on one another in a split second. They will support each others' criminal activities but ONLY until an election year.
One minute Frist is against the port deal, the next minute (and after one of those infamous White House meetings with Rove) Frist is now for the port deal. I am SO hoping that the republicans will put their Haliburton/Carlyle millions behind the Frist monkey.
Anyone for this deal hates America and is a sell-out of the vilest form. They are aiding the enemy. Anyone truly against this deal, most REAL Americans are, can not let this blatant treason happen on our watch. If the president and his gang of traitors won't protect us, REAL Americans will. Clean up the temple!
Lott doesnt have to worry about re-election. He doesnt need to posture.. MS is a red as you can get, and the republican senators have done a great job helping the state recover from Katrina.
Every once in a while this needs to be re-posted, and this seems as good a place as any.

Lott blames Rove and indirectly Bush for his ouster as the leader. So I don't think it's such a surprise that when it's politically okay he'd say such a thing.
And I don't like Lott, which means I think his present stance is questionable. If he was the leader he'd be pushing it right now.
Get a CLUE SHEEP! IT MUST BE VOTED DOWN BY MARCH 2ND! SO URGE THOSE GUTLESS SENATORS AND REPS. TO BRING IT FOR A VOTE TOMORROW SO IT CAN BE VOTED DOWN AND STOPPING BEFORE IT BECOMES INTO EFFECT ON MARCH 2ND! AND URGE THEM TO OVERRIDE BUSH'S VETO! DEMAND REP.S AND SENATORS ALL OF THEM BRING IT FOR A VOTE TOMORROW BEFORE IT GOES INTO EFFECT!
What I would like to see is Lott, tearing off his "rug", and then "smiting" Bush across the face with it. A real "manly" challenge. THAT would be good.
oh, it would be great to see these two actually fight, can anyone say "Slap Box"
March 1st, 2006 at 1:22 pmDid everybody see the CHris Matthews/Trent Lott video? You're gonna love this one.

Anybody notice that Trent stops himself from saying "I am a conservative" and quickly changes to "I am a Republican."?
Still, Lott, Hastert and DeLay, all against Bush on this is a great thing.

March 1st, 2006 at 1:31 pmElection year posturing is all that this is. Do not be fooled by mr. lott's sudden appearance of independence. It's a facade.

March 1st, 2006 at 1:36 pmWow; I'm slightly impressed!
March 1st, 2006 at 1:43 pmThe fact that GWB played the veto card immediately leads me to think that he may NOT KNOW that congress can over-ride.
