What damn library is banning this book? Sounds like the Nazi book burners are running some local governments. Penguin fathers share care of their eggs with the mothers, in fact they normally spend more time doing so as the mother travels and consumes food. They will also adopt chics if the original parent is dead.
Sounds like this redneck library is trying to limit knowlege also.

The people who complained about the books were within their rights to complain. The libraries, however, were not within their rights to remove the book form their shelves. Their duty was to protect free speech, not join Hitler in a book burning party. Shame on the libraries for knuckling under to this sort of bigotry.

I just read the book “And Tango makes three”. Its a wonderful, family orientated book with great pictures. You should read it and recommend it to everyone. Its a beautiful story, beautifully illustrated.

The ultra conservative repugnicans strike again – had they taken the time to consult any web site dealing with penguins they would have LEARNED that the male penguin cares for and incubates the fertilized egg after it is dropped on his feet by his mate. The Female penguin then goes off for weeks to feed while the male stands guard over the egg,keeping it warm and free from danger. Once the egg is hatched mother nature sees to it that the female returns to raise the baby. The male does not eat during this incubation period. Now I know how stupid these ultra conservative repugnicans really are.

There is something obscene and unwholesome about the conservative obsession with sex. Like the kid in “Sixth Sense” who sees dead people — they “see gays and sex and sexual behavior.”

I thought penguins could teach us traditional Christian family values, and their stories were compelling, wholesome “conservative” morality lessons -a la “March of the Penguins”. I guess I was wrong.

If there is anything to be learned, is that some people so obsessed with sex they see “hidden agendas” where there are none.
