Agreed, Marie. It’s beginning to look like we need to start from scratch, cleaning out Congress and the White House. Sure as s**t, Congress isn’t going to do anything about it at this point.
Karl Rove is clutching his chest every morning when he reads his intel reports.
How that guy manages to keep that 30% in line is a mystery to me. Me, I think the 30% doesn’t have a clue and just reflexively loves what they are told to. Why wait for genetic maipulation of the masses, feed ‘em lotsa fatty foods & sodas, tell ‘em that schools are for “liberal elites” and they just turn out dumb bumpkins.
Oh, wait! Now it’s time for the trolls to complain about the poll, the questions the poll used, the political affiliation of those questioned for the poll, and just about any other complaint because THIS poll dosn’t fawn over how great Pres. Bush really is!
Of course, if the poll were about Pres. Clinton and his approval rating during his second term, then it would be a poll sanctioned by God himself!
As usual…who in the F#CK are the 30%ers who think otherwise?
I’d absolutely LOVE it if they would break down those that approve by salary/wealth. I’m betting anyone below the “stinkin’ rich” demographic is absent from that “approval” response.
When i hear that both houses are arresting bush & co then we have a reason to celebrate until then ,there’s a lot of work to be done by re-educating the American people about both Houses refused to up hold our Consitution and Civil Rights . Both Houses has help bush to steal the Wealth of this Country along with American Pride,Morals,Ethics, and Real Compassion.
Congress is Allowing the President to Spy on YOU says:
Everyone here owes it to themselves to watch Declassified on History channel about Ayatollah Khomeini. After watching it it hit me like a freight train that Iran is about to, or is in the midst of, the 3rd wave of the Iranian revolution. Thanks to the “Axis of Evil” comment and Iraq invasion.
CNN…Bush appv.rating at 2%…up from 1%…he’s says he’s on a roll! 40 whitehouse guards removed bush today, kicking and ranting..”You can’t impeach me, I’m the presnut!”..over and over.
Congress is Allowing the President to Spy on YOU says:
“You know, in a sane world, every country would unite against Iran and blow it off the face of the earth. That would be the sane thing to do.” —Bill O’Reilly
This is where I remind people the first Iranian Revolution was a revolt against an American Puppet Military Dictator who operated a secret police and death squads.
The Second Iranian Revolution occured after Saddam invaded and he attacked Iran with chemical weapons.
The strength of Islamic Radicalism is directly related to America’s Imperialism.
As usual…who in the F#CK are the 30%ers who think otherwise?
I’d absolutely LOVE it if they would break down those that approve by salary/wealth. I’m betting anyone below the “stinkin’ rich†demographic is absent from that “approval†response.
The AP story this post links to is pretty appalling too. It sites national poll results and then solicits comments from 5 different republicans (Cole, Brownback, Mehlman, Nelson [a republican consultant/strategist] and Wright [a worried republican voter]). True to form, its only mention of Democrats is to say that they are not getting their message out. Perhaps the poll results would demonstrate the mood of the country better is even one progressive had the opportunity to give their opinion of this criminal administration and its lacky congress. Ask a second progressive and it might become apparent that our message is more cohesive and less divided than the unnamed “strategist in both parties” would have us believe.
This confirms that ~30 of americans are clinically insane. The APA says about 1 in 4 americans will have some sort of mental illness during their lifetime, funny how these numbers match up.
65% couldn’t describe the basic facts about Watergate
down to
3% wanted to see the questions on “Millionaire” become less difficult
and includes the 5% who claim that they are more likely to buy foods labelled as Genetically modified, the 10% who think that women have an advantage in America, and 12% who think that the US needs a royal family like the UK… I worry about a lot of the people out there…
Fortunately the more stupid comments seem to have the fewest adherents…
I think that this comment from Bob Harris on his original posting sums it up…
Speaking of social progress, there sure seems to be a remarkably consistent hardcore of about 25-30 percent who seem to be living sometime in the late 19th century at best. Beatings as a form of education? Wives submitting graciously? Vengeful gods screwing with the weather?
Thanks Ryan, I feel all this crap could be boiled down to how people function psychologically. I believe that 50% of Americans have some type of mental disorder. I am a mental health professional and this is my observation out in the world dealing with people. This is why our government has become what it is. Our country is severely lacking in mental health and psychiatric services compared to other developed countries. Our “pride” and stigma attached to mental illness prevents us from acknowledging and treating mental problems, so the mental illness is just perpetuated and passed on to the next generation. This country loves a crisis, loves drama, loves abuse, and denial.
4- You left out some good ones:
10% would eat a rat or an insect on a “reality” TV show
20% approve of the how the Catholic Church handles pedophilia
12% think the United States should have a British-style royal family (bet they’re ecstatic right now)
48% say the news media acted responsibly during the Clinton Wars
45% characterized Watergate was “just politics”
40% believe the media was biased in favor of Bill Clinton
And my personal fave:
22 percent think Iraq actually used WMDs during the war.
If PT Barnum were alive today, he’d be president. Or in charge of Faux News.
24- It [c]ites national poll results and then solicits comments from 5 different republicans…, its only mention of Democrats is to say that they are not getting their message out.
Oh sh#t!!! I have to clean the monitor off now. You can’t write this type of self-parody, it just writes itself.
At what percentage will we throw the bums out?
March 10th, 2006 at 3:25 pm% of Americans who would take a crap on Bush’s face = 75 %
March 10th, 2006 at 3:28 pmMyDD makes a great point,
more people Strongly Dissapprove (41%) of Bush than the total percent of people who Approve (18% strongly + 9% somewhat + 10% lean toward)

Ouch.

If you watch ‘History’ Channel documentaries made after 2000, you deserve the headache and the propaganda drool down the front of your shirt.
If you get your history off the tv, wear a sachet of seasoning powder around your neck. The sharks say you taste better that way.
I can’t STAND the excitement of waiting for the announcement that, ta-da, Halliburton/DPW is taking over 21 of our ports.
