President Bush’s new record-low approval rating, according to a USA TODAY/CNN/Gallup poll. Only 6 percent agree with Gen. Pace that events in Iraq are going “very well“; 60 percent say they are going either “moderately badly” or “very badly.”
I think the policy of rolling out a new same-as-the-old speech to “sell” to the public is actually starting to have a negative effect. It might not be long until Bush just disappears into the Oval Office with a stash of Jim Beam.
Dammit, this is funny. Except that DHHS is urging us all to store tuna fish and powdered milk under our beds against a potential outbreak of bird flu.
Terror attack = Bush’s fault = Bad
Natural disaster = Katrina = Bad for Bush
Bird Flu = Act of God = Martial Law = Bush OK = Rummy’s stock vaccine goes WAY up!
Peter Pace is a Rumsfeld toady–that’s how he got the job. The final test Rummy gave him before his appointment was to organize and conduct a Pentagon fairwell gig for Paul Wolfowitz. It was a test of Pace’s loyalty and he came through with flying colors, praising Wolfy to the heavens. He’s a prime kiss-ass horseholder for the Head Torturer and gives the Marine Corps a bad name. His time will come. Richard Myers was Air Force and got away with it, but we expect more of Marines, don’t we? Don’t we expect a Marine to tell it like it is? Yes, we do. And no, Peter Pace doesn’t.
36% still approve bushs’ performance. ? I don’t see it getting lower. If they don’t get it now they will never get it. Maybe when they see him dragged off to hell by satan on national television, then maybe they will understand.
Wow. How are the “liberal media” going to spin that?
The facade is cracking badly.
March 13th, 2006 at 4:47 pmRed alert! Time for a major policy speech full of old bullshit.

March 13th, 2006 at 5:30 pmReichWingNuts can’t defend these numbers, can they? Oh, I know, they’ll probably feel compelled to attack someone or something.

March 13th, 2006 at 9:22 pmWhat the 36% are getting is either profits from the war or a message from God that Bush is The One, and, yeah, they’ll never change.
March 13th, 2006 at 10:32 pmIt is official now: 6% are hopelessly, terminally detached from reality, and live in a parallel universe.
