This is why both houses of congress should go ahead with their numerous pieces of legislation blocking this deal.

Put it on the record - DPW, poop or get off the pot!

Far be it from me to accuse a politician of lying, or to imply that the President is a politician. No, the good voters of the red states -- about whom nothing bad should ever be said -- believe their politicians never lie, and I feel I should respect their religious beliefs.

Who knows who owns what anymore? It's all so confusing. As long as the courts treat corporations as having the same rights as people, and government treats corporations as better than people, we're all going to get screwed anyhow--it's just a question of patrimony.

This makes the importance of the Resolution of Inquiry that Rep. Kucinich has filed obvious. Kucinich is using this manuver to try to force the White House to release its <strike>vaporwork</strike> paperwork to Congress. The article summarizes the mechanics:

How far will Kucinich get with his demand for documents from a White House that is never forthcoming when it comes to cooperating with Congress? That depends, in large part, on his fellow House Democrats, and on those scared House Republicans who were so busy claiming to the cameras that they wanted to "get to the bottom" of all the issues raised by the port deal.

Under House rules, when a member introduces a Resolution of Inquiry, it must be taken up by an appropriate committee – in this case the House Financial Services Committee -- within 14 legislative days. If the committee, which of course has a Republican majority, votes to votes to squelch the resolution, then the White House is off the hook. That's likely to happen unless House Democrats pick up Kucinich's call and make enough noise to keep this issue alive.

So much for the loss of foreign investment.

Reports of Dubai's indignation have been vastly exaggerated, I fear.

You mean these guys would lie? I can't believe it. I'm shoc....why I never!

Someone associated with George W. Bush, Carlyle Group, Halliburton, and the vast military-industrial-oil complex would lie to the hard working swags in the press!

Well just chuck my Wheaties.
