“The Pentagon is looking into the possibility of Israel launching a strike against Iran’s nuclear facilities,” the Jerusalem Post reports. Proliferation expert Joseph Cirincione: such a strike “would not, as is often said, delay the Iranian program. It would almost certainly speed it up. That is what happened when the Israelis struck at the Iraq program in 1981.”
I am being serious when I say… I fear that me and my loved ones are going to die unnatural deaths. That thought has been keeping me up later and later these past few months.
March 13th, 2006 at 11:55 pmThe lunatics are running the asylum. The world stands on the brink and our nation turns its eyes to a fucking Chimp in jumpsuit.
Woe is us.

March 14th, 2006 at 12:56 amInsanity!!! Iran was not a “threat” to us, until we “got up in their grill”, and proceeded to threaten THEM! Anyone possessing even the most tenuous hold on reality KNOWS that Iran is not an inch away from having nukes, let alone the urge to drop one on us, though it would be understandable. The nation we should fear the most is OURS!! GWB can launch a nuclear bomb any time he wants. And Cheney and Rumsfeld would have no problem egging him on. And he LUUUUUVVVVS power, and the illusion of “control”. And his “handlers” know just which buttons to push. Crap… I am scaring myself here….
March 14th, 2006 at 1:02 amIsrael has been bragging that its new “Arrow” anti-missile missile can defeat any Iranian missile attack, so this isn’t about defending Israel. It’s about using Israel to attack our ordained enemy, Iran. The US seems to have a permanent grudge against Iran, through every administration, except of course for 1953-1979 when our boy the Shah was in power. I read where his son is ready to return “when asked.”

Baltimore Business Journal – 2:52 PM EST Monday
by Julekha Dash
WBAL Radio will drop Rush Limbaugh as part of an effort to revamp its programming lineup.
The nationally syndicated conservative commentator will air his last show on WBAL Radio May 31.
Thereafter, “The Rush Limbaugh show” will air on another station in Baltimore, officials at Limbaugh’s radio syndicate Premiere Radio Networks Inc. said Monday. Premiere Radio officials said they will make an official announcement in the “near future” about that station’s identity.
“WBAL has been a great partner to Rush Limbaugh for many years,” said Julie Talbott, executive vice president at Premiere Radio Networks, in a statement. “However, at this time, we’re excited about a new direction the show will take in Baltimore.”

Move Isreal to America
March 14th, 2006 at 5:46 amThe President of Iran has been quite vocal in his desire to remove Israel frm the planet….why should they await that day or we just not listen to what he’s saying.
March 14th, 2006 at 5:55 amI take the President of Iran about as serious as the President of the United States.
March 14th, 2006 at 6:36 amThey’re both dirty little mouthpieces for something entirely much more sinister.
However, being the tools they are, I have to say their willingness to blindly push the war agenda before public interests is equally frightening, and calls a plethora of other issues into question.
Unfortunately, before anyone has any time to confront, answer, and provide peaceful solutions to those issues in a lawful and civil minded way, these crazy tools will instead take it upon themselves to exterminate all forms of life which they feel don’t represent their interests and the interests of those who finance their power – Yeah, God gave you a 100 million dollar allowance, now go buy yourself some nukes and bad intelligence.
Even the slightest form of dissent; be it religious, political, foreign, or domestic will leave you crippled by a machine that does not hesitate to institute war, torture, and other civil liberty infringements in order to achieve its goal. They will stop at nothing to silence all life on this planet in the name of money and power and whatever religious figure they pretend to worship.
Hey, here’s a quick word of wisdom bestowed upon me by an often overlooked angel:
“Money can’t buy you love”.
Now, put that in your pipe and smoke it you war mongering figurehead fu©kfaces.
I am so ashamed of America and Isreal. Israel is very greedy for land its not about “maybe Iran getting a bomb” its about Israel hate for iran.
I have Iranian Jewish friends and they are so worried about their country.
Israel needs land and Oil .America wants to control all oil and Natural Gas and picking and pushing Iran is how this war on another Country that is at peace with its neighbors and America will happen this month on bush’s so called self serving War.
March 14th, 2006 at 7:07 amIran; a quagmire several times the size of Iraq.
March 14th, 2006 at 7:42 amLets just nuke the whole world. That way no one can attack us.
Rockets
March 14th, 2006 at 7:54 amYeah? So what’s the point?
Correct me if I’m wrong, but at least Isreal is not like most of our Arab “allies” and sitting back letting the infidel US do their dirty work for them—like getting rid of the Iraqi threat. I mean, the Arabs fear and hate the Persians worse than we do, but they would never actively help in a war.
March 14th, 2006 at 8:03 am10#The President of Iran has been quite vocal in his desire to remove Israel frm the planet….
His remarks were of the MAP not WORLD
His remarks are technically very correct
You being ignorant to other parts of the world do not realise that arabic maps do not have Isreal on their maps on Palestine one other point to make is Nearly all Arabic airlines will not allow you to fly on their palnes if you have an Isreali Visa or stamp in your passport and most Arabic countires will not let you in to their country if you have an Isreali Stamp ………so please
As far as i know its only America so far said Iran should be wiprd off the face of the Planet
AS far as im concerned I read an article the more people whom have Nuclear weapons will make the world a safer place………Then i years from now ,,,the whole world will have to decide to get rid of them
Istead of America Bullying the world just cause they Have Nuclear weapons
March 14th, 2006 at 8:18 amTheir are also more dangerous weapons than Nuclear wepons, Nerve gas for instance one tin the size of a coco-cola tin would wipe NewYork out totally
Also bear in mind that Nerve gas in stocked by most countries , Even Thailand has a 20 tonnes stockpile enough to wipe out the Earth.
Going Into Iran would be a grave mistake, Your President when Visiting India the other day Ignored the Nuclear Prolification Treaty deliberatley..as to make the treaty a worthless piece of Paper as in your contitution …….BUSH IS NUTZ you seriously have to do better thaN HIM
March 14th, 2006 at 8:25 amAnother reminder of what war looks like
To the trolls in here and Republicans alike you are responcible for things like this ,,,WHY
you know violence is a sign of immaturity, Basically you cannot work things out in your head and fly of the handle
Your country is Immaturure only 270 years old, The world can do without your Immaturity……grow up
March 14th, 2006 at 8:38 amI think the world is spinning out of control. Perhaps this is the answer to the prayers of the religious nuts who are eager for the “rapture.”
March 14th, 2006 at 8:51 amIt looks like this is going to happen. Bush and dead eye Rice have been spouting crap at Iran for some time now and naturaly their leader has been throwing it back. We do not have any diplomats any more, just war amongers and greedy fools running our country and many others in the world.
Seems Bush wants his legacy to be by the number of body bags the world can add up. To bad we can’t make a new rule that the one’s who start the war’s are the only ones to fight. Bush, Rimsfeld, Rove, Rice heres you ak47’s and amo, now we drop you over here on this piece of land in the middle of nowhere and you meet up with you enemy. The last big mouth standing gets control of the patch of land you are on and that’s it. What madness this bunch in the white house has caused, perpetual war, drain the lives and economy out of our country and the people of the world. I’m sick of it…When and where are we going to be able to get rid of these insane people…..Impeach, indict, jail…Blessings
March 14th, 2006 at 9:06 amTo the trolls in here and Republicans alike you are responcible for things like this …..you know violence is a sign of immaturity, Basically you cannot work things out in your head and fly of the handle…..The world can do without your Immaturity……grow up.
Comment by Smedley
Sorry, Smedley. Correct me if I’m wrong, pal, but Bush has made a mess in Iraq and all but lost the War on Terror, thrown the US into heavy debt, silenced most of his critics, and is setting up a gastepo here in the country. Now his poll numbers are in the tank.
Naw. It’s time to kick some more Middle Eastern ass and get those numbers back up.
March 14th, 2006 at 9:07 amThese questions may be irrelevant in today’s America but does the authorization to use force against Afghanistan and subsequent authorization to use force against Saddam’s Iraq give Bush the right to use force against Iran without further Congressional authorization? Does the meme of the undeclared “war-on-terror” give Bush the right to use military force against each and every country his cabal deems to be threat to our “national security” in this de facto Forever War?
From all I know, all Iran wants to do is exercise what is it’s right under the NPT and under the same treaty, it is the obligation of the US to assist Iran in it’s quest towards nuclear energy. Is our paranoia and Islamophobia enough justification for killing over a million Iranis simply because Iran is demanding what is its own right?
Iran has stated that it wants Israel off the world maps but that is a separate political issue and taking that to mean that Iran wants to nuke Israel into oblivion is simpleminded stupid thinking at best and fear mongering at worst.
That said, I do not think Iran has anything to worry about. America has lost most of its teeth in Iraq thanks to BushCo incompetence and anybody who assumes that Russia and China will stand by and let America corner the last remaining oil reserves and disrupt their own supplies should standby for a very rude awakening.
America’s strength has always been its high moral ground and the threat of the use of force. When we lost the war in Iraq, we lost more than just the war in Iraq.
March 14th, 2006 at 9:13 amPOTUS, in his twisted and sick mind, feels that he has no need toask permission from congress and the people to attack anyone he wants to.
If he does not attack frontally, he will go back door.
I believe it is all arranged for Israel to attack Iran by air with the promise from Bush to Israel – dont worry, we will protect you. Israelis would be fools to accept this piece of chicken.
You know something is going to happen, and I think it will happen soon. Notice that Bush and Rice are only talking about Iran seeking NUCLEAR WEAPONS, not seeking NUCLEAR ENERGY for peaceful purposes.WMDs anyone.
The man is a fool. His poll numbers are pitiful, but yet he acts as though the whole country is with him at every turn. I think it is about time he and Rove start reading the papers and watching the news.
March 14th, 2006 at 9:28 amIran said Isreal should be wiped of the map… Isreal is not on any Arabic maps …its called Palestine on all Arabic maps,
If you travel to Any Arabic country you will be refused entry if theres an Isreali visa/stamp in your passport,
You cannot fly any Arabic airlines if you have an Isreali Visa/Stamp
This shows you the feelings any Arabic country has towards Isreal …….Not just Iran
And America is the only country to have said Iran should be wiped of the face of the planet……..This meaning is a lot more horrific …………
Even Iran has said it will talk to America ,,,ITS AMERICA that refuses to even talk ,,,,,,,speak about immature …
March 14th, 2006 at 9:28 amAbby it is not what the AUMF means it is what Bush will say it means at the time to justify his actions. He would say yes to tour question so that in his mind makes his actions legitimate. He’s been a one trick pony since 9-11 and he can’t even get that trick right.
March 14th, 2006 at 9:39 amAbby, in answer to you question about ” does Bush have the authority for more strikes”. Can’t remember what bill or resolution the congress gave Bush just before Afghanastan and Iraq, but the wording was such I was histerical at the time. It implied he had the right to go after any country. My opinion is we have no right to march on the world. Maybe some one could look it up. This bunch and the house and senate are all insane……Blessings
March 14th, 2006 at 10:37 amThe resolution authorized the use of force against those responsible for 9/11, which can be anyone or any country the government chooses, with no time limitations. Now that one of the proclaimed 9/11 perps Iraq has been “democratized” and “normalized” it’s time to go after Iran. The government has to have a threat at all times in order to justify high military spending and domestic repression so Iran will be the neocon’s version of the Soviet Union former role, except this exercise will probably include real bombs falling because, unlike the USSR, Iran has no nukes and so is vulnerable.
March 14th, 2006 at 11:36 amJoseph Cirincione is absolutely wrong. The fact is saddam hussein’s nuclear program came to a halt and was never revived. I don’t know what world he is living in. The insanity would be to let a psychotic, messianic nutjob acquire nuclear weapons. That would ensure armeggedon. How does any logical person conclude that taking preemptive military actions to stop Iran obtaining nukes would be more dangerous than actually allowing Iran under the mullahs to have nukes?
March 14th, 2006 at 12:02 pmThe other factor was nuclear weapons. The fact that both parties had nuclear weapons made both parties much more cautious than they might have been – almost certainly would have been on the evidence of several hundred years of history – in a conventionally armed world. The fact that both parties knew that a first strike would not eliminate the other side’s ability to retaliate, and that retaliation could involve the virtually complete destruction of major cities, perhaps even the country’s capital, served as a powerful deterrent to starting a general war. Thus, Waltz wrote, “Nuclear weapons have helped maintain peace between the great powers and have not led their few other possessors into military adventures.”

March 14th, 2006 at 12:44 pmAs The London mayor Ken Livingston says: President Bush is the biggest threat to mankind ever known:
I rest my case
March 14th, 2006 at 12:47 pmI wouldn’t be so sure that Iran does not have nukes. An awful lot of hardware went missing after the breakup of the USSR. If they do, I am sure they would retaliate with everything they have to Israel, within striking distance and a big symbolic blow to the US. And all of their neighbor countries would cheer the destruction of Israel.
March 14th, 2006 at 1:50 pmThe only way we could invade is to reinstate the draft, perhaps that would be the only thing to wake up our country?
What a mess.
reinstate the draft ????? easier just to go to prison,
March 14th, 2006 at 2:14 pmChimpy drove a bus thorugh the Non-Proliferation Treaty in India last week, even the pro-business Economist thinks so, probably starting an Asian-Middle Eastern arms race that won’t end until someone lets one off. Heckuvajob, Chimpy.
March 14th, 2006 at 2:20 pmThe plan is to have Israel strike first, hope for a retaliation from Iran and USA needs to step in “to save the day” so to speak.
March 14th, 2006 at 11:38 pmIf they don’t retaliate (US and UK bombed Iraq throughout 2002 to provoke retaliation from Saddam but it didn’t occur), a false flag operation(s) is likely to take place. Too much of a conspiracy? Well, read about PNAC, the agenda is crazy.
