President Bush’s approval rating in a new WSJ/Harris poll, down from 40 in February and 43 in January.

30 Responses to “36.”

  1. Democrat Rallying for Bush says:

    It’s only because he SUCKS.

  2. Sharon Cox says:

Bush knows his ratings have tanked. He now picks any one he can for a photo opp. His latest is the young man who shot all the hoops for his team…Sad to watch every one being used to try and keep his lousy base entertained……

Latest down the pike, the port deal may still be on, anyone besides me not suprised. Bet they told us all that crap just to stop a country wide march on DC. ….The uprising may need to start soon….Blessings

  3. Wayne says:

I still cannot figure out the 36% that approve…..

Brain damage? Never read anything? Heads stuck in the sand? Koolaide overdose?

I think I will just assume they are brain damaged, like the Commander in Chimp

  4. Punchy says:

and STILL the Dems wont support Feingold….

I guess they’re waiting for the mid 20s…and then MAYBE they’ll consider his censure…why must we be the party of wusses?

  5. Liberals Heart Stalin says:

#4 – no Punchy. Actually, if you believe that poll, 36% puts Bush 12 points higher than the Democrats who scored 24%. Do yourself a favor and shut up until after November.

  6. Alex says:

So what is the record of all time? 35? If he gets below 25%, ill explode.

    R2K

  7. Ho Chi Minh says:

36% still approve? Must be those die-hard Nazis.

  8. wisedup says:

next bushgang will outlaw all polls. Feingold/Clark, I just like the sound of that. Goodbye to the bad democrats, we won’t miss you. See ya Joe…..

  9. For Truth says:

    #6

Checked your link, the numbers are very close for all the politicians, people seem to be dissatisfied with all politicians in general. Just cuz congressional Repubs got 27% instead of the Dems 24%, is nothing to write home about. If you consider the margin of error, its the same. The system is not working for the people, has been that way a while now, but with the internet, e-mail, digital cameras, and satellite phones, more and more people are getting info the system would not want them to have. Advances in technology and information have clued more average folks in to whats going on.

  10. Captain Obvious says:

This just in from Captain Obvious:

#5 er, the poll gave the democrats a 16 point lead in November as of today – thought that was, er obvious.

  11. CarolSoprano says:

Do yourself a favor and shut up until after November.

LHS, why don’t you do us all a favor and shut up and leave … oh, and why don’t you enlighten us as to why your hero is tanking … after all, according to all the Kool-Aid drinkers (yourself included) he has a plan for success in Iraq, he doesn’t know Abramoff at all, wiretapping of Americans is perfectly legal, and he’s doing all he can in New Orleans. And with all that success, still his approval rating is at 36%. Remarkable! I guess it’s that doggone liberal media, huh? Please, grow up and face facts … Bush is the most incompetent, immoral and, frankly, stupid President in history and many Americans (even diehard conservatives) are beginning to wake up to what most of us have known all along.

  12. Marie says:

So just what do the Democrats have to fear in supporting Feingold’s censure?
They are rolling over as usual even when they have the chance to do something that their consituents are asking.
Why was it easier to impeach Clinton for lying about sex and it’s so hard for them to move on the jerk in the WH for breaking the law on rules of surveillance and having the boldness to even brag about doing so.

  13. Marie says:

#6, isn’t the diffeence of 3% between Reps and Dems within the usual margin of error — particularly when we are talking about the WSJ.
As in an earlier post, you have nothing to boast about.

  14. Hardy Haberman says:

Time for the Democrats to stop looking at the polls and just do what is right. Stand up and act like public servants and impeach these criminals!

  15. JIMBO says:

The Dems already have the advantage and yet they are reluctant to stand up to the Chimp. Russ Feingold definitely has a spine bigger than any of the so-called Dems who are too afraid to take on the most stupidest man in the solar system.

Come on, Dems, follow Russ’ lead and in the words of Lt. Dan “Goddammit, kick some ass.”

  16. Doc Zeller says:

    “We don’t follow polls.”
    - stooge at 1500 Pennsylvania Ave
    “No we don’t, sir.”
    - organ grinder next to the stooge, 1500 Pennsylvania Ave.

Then, they went off to host another series of “Victory in Iraq” forums.

Hey! What am I, chopped liver? That boy learned everything he knows from me, so how about a little recognition for a job well done?

  18. Ronald Reagan's ghost says:

Or at least I think he did. Hmm… “Nancy-”

  19. Keith H. says:

The 36 must be a typo.
The real number is probably 26.
They didn’t want the chimp to slit his wrists, would have made daddy unhappy.

  20. Jesus Christ God of WAR says:

    Hear! Hear!

  21. wisedup says:

I agree Keith H, if we could poll every American I bet it would be in the 20’s. My repub. friends..a hum…got quiet…then discust….now ….blame everyone and bush. Just like they did when nixon was going down.

  22. David says:

18- Hey Ron. How’s hell treatin’ ya?

  23. Amazed says:

Understanding the 36% in opinion goes something like this: those that don’t pay attention to the news; those that only watch Fox News and actually believe everything they’re fed; those that don’t think for themselves; those that don’t think for themselves and go along with their Significant Other or whoever is in the room with them if they are asked; those that go along with Bush because he’s born again or Dominionist or whatever the heck is up with his pretend religiosity; those that go along with their church if their churches preach pro-Bush politics; those that are easily manipulated by fear and thus trust like a child whatever Bush & Co say; those that are in the wealthiest 5% of the population who benefit the most financially from Bush being in power; those who will support a Republican President no matter who they are no matter what.

Am I missing any remaining 36 percenters?

  24. Dem02020 says:

    36%

    3% or 6%

    0.0036%

So what, what difference does it make? You think anyone in this Administration gives a squat about Public Opinion?

    Don’t make me laugh.

These people have everything they want: all the power, all the wealth, they can do and say anything they want.

They are undefeated, unchallenged, and unopposed.

THEY ARE ABOVE THE LAW; THEY ARE IMMUNE.

They care nothing for Public Opinion, so who cares what it is, 36% or 0%, so what?

Too bad there wasn’t some kind of real opposition to these liars and thieves; too bad the People whose Public Opinion that is, didn’t have some kind of Representation in Washington D.C., to oppose this crooked Administration.

You think they care about Public Opinion?

    Don’t make me laugh.

  25. Matthew J. Price says:

What in God’s name are those 36% thinking?

  26. Jaded Prole says:

In spite of Bush’s low approval rating and even in spite of 53% popular support
for impeachement, Howard Dean and the DNC are blocking efforts by John Conyers and 23 co-sponsors to impeach Bush/Cheney. What’s up with that?

  27. bobcat_grad says:

Bush reminds me of Ralph Wiggum.

“I found a moon rock in my nose!”

  28. progressive and proud says:

Except that Ralphie is haplessly cute and, well…

  29. Democrat Soldier says:

#26 – Don’t forget, the WSJ is another whore for the Republicans. If they’ve got a poll that shows Pres. Bush approval rating at 36%, then he’s really in a slump.

The big news that the radical-right wing-nuts don’t want you to know about:

Yes, the trned is towards Democrats insteand of the batch of corrupt Republicans we currently have running our country further and further into debt.

Basically, the Republicans will be losing seats this coming November and they have only themselves to blame for thier impending losses and failures.

It’s too bad that the Neo-Con Republicans have more in common with dictators than with democratically
