You know its the people in the red states that are the most charitable. The left needs to put its money where its mouth is. They want forced charity. Their answer to every social problem is to get big brother to rape the “wealthy” to support some government fiasco. I say pony up you cheap hypocrytes. Give an extra 10-20% from your purse and lead the way in “compassion”.

I live in one of the most “liberal” states in the union and am blown away by their behavior. SUVs with “save the earth” bumper stickers, half million dollar 3000 square foot homes everywhere, urban sprawl. wrecked forests, polution, civil rights of conservatives and christians violated at every turn on university campuses (while they open their arms to taliban members)and are the poor any better off? Just barely. The white libs who talked a good talk in terms of desegragation all ran off to the suburbs and left the minorities behind now they want to pacify their guilt by enacting legislation to make everyone else pay to solve the problems they created by enslaving people to the welfare state. So they will raise taxes and drive more business away thereby securing the need for more welfare recipients who will vote for them. It’s a vicious dependency cycle.

I don’t want massive federal bureaucracy stripping me of freedom any more than I want massive conglomorates. The solution to one abusive master is not to run into the arms of another.

I am sick and tired of the Democrats. I have been a democrat all my life but I am on my last straw. we need a viable alternative. They have no courage of their conviction. Whoops, no wait a minute, they have no convictions. I look at Congress especially the “Clique the Senate” and I am hard pressed to identifty Dems or Repubs they truly all look alike.

Impeachment has to be delayed until January 2007. At that point the Democrats should have a three seat majority in the Senate and a sixty seat majority in the House. Anyway, an impeachment resolution must be initiated in the House.

Being an older citizen, I recall the Nixon/Kennedy debates and Feingold reminded me of Kennedy standing up to Nixon as he cowarded, watched the clock while he appeared to be sweating. Frist’s voice cracked as he made a short statement opposing the time to be given and another older senator saying that the constitution gives Bush dictatorial powers.

The Democrats certainly showed how they can hide behind the corrupt administration as they sell out the country along with the republicans.

Russ Feingold is the conscience of the Founding Fathers and the Constitution and thankfully we have his leadership. Unfortunately, most Americans would be unable to correctly define “conscience,” name more than one of the Founding Fathers, or tell you what the Bill of Rights is. We can mostly thank television and the mindlessness it has created for that. Oh, and let’s not forget to thank The New York Times for its piss poor reporting during the build up to the criminal invasion of Iraq. Then, again, what pain do most Americans feel about 30,000 innocent Iraqis being killed? Or, for that matter, a few thousand American troops? Answer: not that much, really. What’s more interesting? Desperate Housewives, American Idol, and Survivor.

Too afraid to use your brain is being cowardly. Violating the very principles that America stands on because of fear of the big bad muslims is cowardly. Murdering like crazed animals that do not know how to solve a problem so they just lash out is being a coward. Not facing up to the reality that America AND the rest of the world has problems that need addressed is being cowardly. Not owning up to wrongs commited in the name of profit and nationalism is cowardly. Not sacrificing like Jesus for the way of Jesus is being cowardly. All of these things describe todays republicans.
