As a result, TrackBack spam filters similar to those implemented against comment spam now exist in many weblog publishing systems.

"Deficit spending in time of war? You’re kidding, right?"

Look at history and you wouldn't be asking that question.

"Three years ago, I heard “Mission Accomplished” and went on with my life. Is there anything new I should know about?"

Then you wern't paying attention. Bush was addressing the fact the Sadamm's regime was ousted and no longer in control of Iraq, i.e. mission accomplished.

"Every problem you listed before “ect” has gotten exponentially worse since January 2001."

The U.S. economy had to recover from a recession brought on by various events and trends of the late 1990s, i.e. the tech bubble bursting, corporate scandals like Enron and World Com, the natural end of an economic cycle (notice the recessions have been comming in about 7-10 year cycles), the BS millennium scare, and finally the attacks of 9/11. Point here is that neither Clinton or Bush were really responsible for the 2001-2003 recession.

"This country is going deeper into the shitter every minute people like you keep enabling George W. Bush and crooks like him."

How have you been personally affected? You are aware the all of the corporate scandals like Enron and World Com happened in the 1990s...aren't you?

"Listen, I’m done with you. Go back to Fearless Leader and tell him he’s a lying sack of shit that belongs in prison."

As long as you go back and tell your spineless leaders to quit bitching and moaning when they have no plan to fix any of the problems mentioned caused by years of lack of inaction whether it be the corporate scandals, saying the nothing is wrong with social security, or saying that we will fight terrorism and then actually doing NOTHING for an entire decade.

#126.

Deficit spending in time of war? You're kidding, right? You advocate that borrow $2.5T to pay for a $400B war?

Situation in Iraq? What situation? Three years ago, I heard "Mission Accomplished" and went on with my life. Is there anything new I should know about?

Every problem you listed before "ect" has gotten exponentially worse since January 2001.

Come to your senses, will you? You sound reasonable as you talk round and round about the most unreasonable thing. This country is going deeper into the shitter every minute people like you keep enabling George W. Bush and crooks like him.

Listen, I’m done with you. Go back to Fearless Leader and tell him he’s a lying sack of shit that belongs in prison.

It's common to have deficit spending during a time of war. It has happened during every war the the U.S. has been involved in. You might say then why during the Reagan years did we have deficit spending? If you remember the Soviet Union collapsed right after Reagan left office. We were fighting a Cold War with the Soviets thru out the 1980s.

"Whatever we did then, let’s not do that way anymore."

I totally agree, but remember it wasn't the tax cuts of the 1920s that caused the Great Depression it was the laissez faire approach of the U.S. Government toward big business.

The Heritage Foundation is most definately conservative. It would be nice however if you would read the article and debate the contents not just pass it off as pie in the sky just because it come from a conservative think tank. If I were to cite something from a liberal source...would you have the same reaction?

"I bet it would have a different conclusion if the Democratic majority had a role in it."

Of course it would, which is why you have to actually read it and either debate it or agree with it.

"You might have to get used to the idea that Democrats are the only alternative."

Why would the American people put a party into power that doesn't have any plan to deal with the U.S. economy, social security, health care, terrorism, the situation in Iraq, Iran, the Israeli/Palestinian problem, ect.....

You think that balanced budgets are better. The trouble is, your guys don't seem to agree. Clinton signed the only ones. Reagan signed 8 deficit budgets, and Bush41signed 4 more. Bush41 spends money like the antidote is in it. The "Balanced Budget Amendment?" Which number is that? My Constitution ends with Amendment 27.

The links you provided are somewhat partisan, wouldn't you agree?

1. The Heritage Foundation? Here's what Rush Limbaugh (definitely a partisan) says about HF: "Some of the finest conservative minds in America do their work in the Heritage Foundation." I hardly expect such minds to produce any conclusion that doesn't support supply side economics.

2. The Joint Economic Committee? Isn't it a little suspicious that only Republicans' names are attached to the document. I bet it would have a different conclusion if the Democratic majority had a role in it.

The economy of the 1920's was managed so well that we got to enjoy the 1930's. That was fun. Whatever we did then, let's not do that way anymore.

I look forward to seeing the President and the Republican majority "get drilled" in 2006. You might have to get used to the idea that Democrats are the only alternative.
