President Bush’s approval rating according to Pew Research. “Just 42% now approve of Bush’s job in handling terrorist threats, an 11-point drop since February.” Also: “Honesty had been the single trait most closely associated with Bush, but in the current survey ‘incompetent’ is the descriptor used most frequently.”
I guess lying sack of shit just didn’t fit in the column.
March 15th, 2006 at 5:30 pmPolls polls polls and more polls. What is it going to take for some real change to occur?
March 15th, 2006 at 5:30 pmAs long as we have gas, television, and fast food, too many people just dont care.
March 15th, 2006 at 5:32 pmWonder how they will spin this?

March 15th, 2006 at 5:37 pmThe leading Dems are waiting till 25% to grow a backbone and do something. Its safer.
This is why I don’t take poll results seriously and this one illustrates the major flaw in all of those polls you see quoted on TV: an ill-informed group of pollees. I do not believe that the 33% who still favor him have been paying attention to the facts. How could anyone objectively look at this man’s history and come to the conclusion that he is “honest”? There is nothing “honest” about the president. He’s a documented liar, and anyone who believes differently simply refuses to acknowledge reality.
March 15th, 2006 at 5:41 pmIf you just put the first five words used to describe Bush together you get;
Incompetent good idiot liar christian, and that about sums GWB up
March 15th, 2006 at 5:41 pmIt’s pretty sad when the only person being tried for a connection to 9-11 may get a dismissal because of an arrogant, likely part of the neo-con culture of corruption, government attorney who screwed it up by not following the rules.
March 15th, 2006 at 5:42 pmJust more people awakening every day to the terrible facts around the Bush Cabal.
We need a few law abiding politicians, for a change.
March 15th, 2006 at 5:48 pm33% of die hard Fox News fanatics and O’Reilly and Hannity worshipers .. makes sense to me, I think the poll is right and valid.
Now, the Democratic lack of action ?? That’s a topic for another post.
March 15th, 2006 at 5:49 pmIt’s only taken 5 years for more than 2/3 to catch on. Maybe congress will soon follow.
March 15th, 2006 at 5:52 pmOo! Oo! I want to see Bush say “incompetent.”
Rollicking fun for hours!
March 15th, 2006 at 5:59 pmBetter not get too carried away calling Bush a Christian. Seems to me a Christian is one who follows Jesus, and that would entail: feeding the hungry, healing the sick, visiting prisoners, etc.
So far he seems to be the opposite of that.
March 15th, 2006 at 6:00 pmI sense that these things have a bit of their own momentum–sort of like the emperor has no clothes moment. It appears that Dumbya may have reached that moment. Even the msm has had a series of stories on it and everybody other than the Senate Democrats seem to have realized that Dumbya is an out and out fraud and it is time to stick a fork in him, he is done.
March 15th, 2006 at 6:02 pmPolls depend on who you poll. Bush is 100% at his house, and 10% if you polled every American, now thoes 10% are the ones that say: ‘who’s george bush?, and ‘what war?.
March 15th, 2006 at 6:14 pm33% of americans support Bush still , Thats Amazing as 91% of the world hate him and i have still to meet anybody that even has anything remotely good to say about him, notice its going down every day as he steps up war mongering on Iran,
The day Bush gets imprisoned im going to treat myself to my first American product in 3 years , say a coco cola I dont want to spend too much on your economy
The world waits in anticipation for Bush to be Imprisoned, Bit like confession in a church, Admit Bush was a bad man and we will start to help America in its time of bankruptsy
March 15th, 2006 at 6:16 pmWATCH FOR FALLING CHIMP!
According to Survey USA Bush is at 50% or above in exactly 4 states.
1 Utah Bush 55% 42% 13% UT KSL-TV
2 Wyoming Bush 52% 45% 7% WY
3 Alabama Bush 51% 46% 5% AL WKRG-TV
4 Idaho Bush 50% 47% 3% ID

March 15th, 2006 at 6:23 pmThis poll showed again that more people have a negative view of the president but it also shows a continuing disinterest in Congressional corruption. The poll indicates very few pay attention to the lobbying story in part,I guess, because they think it’s the same behavior on both sides of the aisle. Too bad.
March 15th, 2006 at 6:27 pmWon’t someone do the American people a huge favor and give GW a blowjob so we can start impeachment proceedings? I would offer to take one for the team but it appears that only heterosexual blowjobs count towards impeachment.
March 15th, 2006 at 6:42 pmIf it goes to 32 will they announce UBL has been captured?
March 15th, 2006 at 6:42 pmAlthough some U.S. officials have stated several times that Iran has never breached international regulations on nuclear activities, others accuse Iran of attempting to manufacture nuclear weapons.
These contradictions have actually made other nations even more distrustful of the double-standard policies of the United States, which will have serious repercussions for the U.S. and the entire international community.
Due to its political confusion, the U.S. has exacerbated crises in the Middle East.
U.S. officials’ constant accusations against Middle Eastern countries, including Iran, will only increase tension in the region, which are already reaching the breaking point.
Therefore, the United States should formally apologize to Iran for its unjustified slanders of the Islamic Republic over the past three years. Otherwise, Iran may file a lawsuit against the United States in international courts.
March 15th, 2006 at 6:46 pmso Bush spends 75 million to slag of Iran and its not working -

March 15th, 2006 at 7:02 pmI guess America doesn’t root for the underdog anymore?
March 15th, 2006 at 7:31 pmHonesty had been the single trait most closely associated with Bush…
Holy crap Batman, there really are that many people with cognitive dissonance!!! Someone walking down the street saying the God is talking to them and wants them to oversee the death of countless people would be locked up in a civilized society, and these buffoons vote someone like that? Honesty?!! Hell, I’d be surprised if they could spell honesty, much less divine it in someone.
March 15th, 2006 at 7:38 pm22)
America does not recognize the authority of the international courts.
March 15th, 2006 at 7:49 pm#29 neither did Milosevic.
March 15th, 2006 at 7:58 pmI can bet in a couple years Bush will not be able to come to europe for fear of being up in a court he does not recognise -
March 15th, 2006 at 8:01 pmcannot wait for the 3rd anniversary of the invasion of Iraq there will be 2 million this year in London alone ..Think ill get some american flags and lighters for sale.. Bush is driving many people to dispare at this rate white middle class will become suicide bombers themselfs against their own goverments
March 15th, 2006 at 8:05 pmThere is nothing “honest†about the president. He’s a documented liar, and anyone who believes differently simply refuses to acknowledge reality.
But … but … but … he’s a good Kerrissstshun, and by default that makes him “honest”. No practising Kerrissstshun can be dishonest by definition, so of course, he’s honest!
Cheers,

LOL, got a good larff outta that one. . .
March 15th, 2006 at 8:33 pmMonkey Knut Wrench, I’m always interested to know how the rest of the world sees Bush. Are there any good British blogs you could let us know about? Thanks
March 15th, 2006 at 8:42 pmThose numbers are STILL too high! Maybe if he cut some of that faith-based funding, the rest of the hangers-on will come around.
March 15th, 2006 at 8:43 pmClick on the AOL link and vote on the two subjects they have up. Bush is getting thumped in both of them!!!!! The graph is not helpiing!!!
March 15th, 2006 at 9:10 pmIt is easy to see where such cowardice [Neo-Con Chicken Hawks] leads. If the British [American] public had been given a truthful account of the Spanish war [Iraq War] they would have had an opportunity of learning what Fascism [Neo-Conism] is and how it can be combated. As it is, the News Chronicle [MSM] version of Fascism [Neo-Conism] as a kind of homicidal mania peculiar to Colonel Blimps [Commander in Chief Chimp] bombinating in the economic void has been established more firmly than ever. And thus we are one step nearer to the great war ‘against Fascism’ [Islamsim] (cf. 1914, ‘against militarism’) which will allow Fascism, British [American Variety] variety, to be slipped over our necks during the first week. –George Orwell

March 15th, 2006 at 9:19 pm#35 Try the section “Have your say” in BBC Web and the Guardian’s Blog.
But these are blogs in the UK, and UK is an ally in the War on Terror. So are the main english talking countries (Australia, etc…), so going to blogs in english of those countries would not be too different to visit blogs in the USA. The frame set is very similar. And there is a BIG WORLD outside the Commonwealth. And we think VERY DIFFERENTLY than the USA, UK and/or Australia.
A great source of information also is English edition of Le Monde Diplomatique. You can have free dispatches at your mail. Very serious and with a non-USA view of the world.
You can try to read the news on other foreing online newspapers using instant web translators, altough these translators aren’t very accurate sometimes. If you know a bit of some foreing language, give it a try reading news on that language, on foreign webs. It’s very recommendable.
Enjoy the reading!
Sincerely,
March 15th, 2006 at 9:20 pmMiss Lily, I tried the ‘lonk’, but it said ‘your drunk’, …burp…sorry..I’m a little giddy over the 33% and I came here to fight with trolls…and there arn’t any…Hey bushie, lets go git drunk..(hic)..then i’ll beat your ass….
March 15th, 2006 at 9:39 pmI just cannot believe that 51% of the people in my own home state(Alabama) still like that meat-headed shitsack. I’m ashamed to call myself an Alabamian. Why is it that out of all 50 states in the union, I was born and raised in George Wallace country?
March 15th, 2006 at 10:03 pmWhat are those 33% thinking?
March 15th, 2006 at 10:05 pmPresident warmonger is talking again of the “Bush Doctrine” – pre-emptive strikes against enemies of the U.S.
March 15th, 2006 at 11:38 pmWhy is no one talking about the bombing raids on Iraqi cities?
Eleven people were killed yesterday – six were children, one baby.
George W. Bush will be the ruination of this nation. If that drunk monkey bombs Iran we can kiss this game goodbye.

March 15th, 2006 at 11:45 pmGSD, I just read that Bolton and Rice have already been pushing the idea of Iran being a center for terrorism. Bush’s doctrine” is being dusted off and resurrected.
March 16th, 2006 at 12:03 amThey are itching for another war. Bush needs another crisis to distract the nation from the scandals, the coming trials, etc. etc.
I think he thinks all of this is like a game of Texas hold ‘em, and he’s the Maverick cowboy.
“Incompetent”? I prefer the phrase “miserable failure”.
And 33% is still too high. When we get to the low 20s, that will start to make sense.
March 16th, 2006 at 12:06 am#17.. that’s one of the reasons I moved out of Utah!

They are not.
The approval rate goes up to a jaw-dropping 73% among Republicans.
I simply do not know what it will take for people to open their eyes and recognise they have been deceived.

March 16th, 2006 at 12:26 amEvil Spaniard, thanks for the links. I bookmarked them.
March 16th, 2006 at 2:27 amGeorge W. Bush is a Sociopath. Plain and simple. He fits the profile. He is only able to mimic “emotional” responses, not actually experience them himself. Which is why all of his attempts to convince the American people that he “cares” so much about them always ring hollow, and lack sincerity, and pledges he makes are quickly abandoned, until the next “photo-op”. He wears different “personas” for different occasions, “dressing for the part”, as it were. He is clearly no christian. But he learned early on that “christians” had alot to offer to a man with his ambitions. So he did what was needed to convince others of his “salvation”. And as most christians are good people, they welcomed him. But in the last 5 years, how many times has he actually set foot inside a church, when it wasn’t going to be a televised event? When he had nothing to gain from it? But like all those who merely pretend to be like everyone else, sometimes the mask slips, and you catch a glimpse of what hides behind. But most people just try to pretend they did not see it, but like George, eventually they can no longer deny it. But instinct tells them to run away, and who can say they are not right to do so? You cannot reason with a Sociopath, and they cannot be stopped by appealing to their “better nature”, it does not exist.
March 16th, 2006 at 2:47 amThe United Nations will soon have a re-minted human rights body to monitor abuses worldwide after the full membership voted in favour of its creation yesterday, ignoring the United States which, once more putting itself out on a limb, voted against it.
for America to call itself democrates is a joke

March 16th, 2006 at 6:06 amNBC news with Brian Williams and Tim Russert gravely built up to the story about Bush’s low poll numbers. It was pretty thrilling to watch.
March 16th, 2006 at 7:04 amWhat surprises me is that “honesty had been the single trait most associated…”. I never thought him at all honest, before the election I thought he was a totally owned puppet of the Texas oil industry. An honest man would have told all about the National Guard.
March 16th, 2006 at 8:23 amDoes anyone else get the impression that MKW (#22) is really a Republican??
Seriously! I believe he’s trying to make anyone who doesn’t automatically agree with Pres. Bush sound like the ultra-far-left lunatic fringe. In fact, s/he’s trying so hard to be as ultra-radically left that he’s gone off the map and actually supports the deaths of Americans!
Let’s all give MKW a round of applause for his absurd performance trying to be as crazy as s/he possibly can. You’re a great stool-pigeon for the Republican party MKW!!!!
March 16th, 2006 at 8:37 amMKW kind of reminds me of that recent tape of “bin Laden” who was reading the list of left-wing soundbites, as envisioned by KKKarl Rove.
(and no, I don’t believe it was the real bin Laden on that tape).

1.Sufferes from a serious mental or psychological disturbance
2. Is a paid troll and has no clue as how to properly do the job
3. Actually is 1Lt Brian M. Anderson moonlighting for the CIA(crazy in america)as a black opps stooge. And he is just about as effective as MKW as he is in his day job. Hell he will show up in cyber-drag next.
4. Is actually Karl Rove and suffering from Jeff Gannon withdrawl

March 16th, 2006 at 9:58 amThe way I see it this asshole presidents poll numbers are at 24%. He has a miserable 33% of the nation and 73% of his own party.
Do the math. Only 24% with him. (33×73). Now, if he would just fall a few points in Idaho, North Dakota, South Dakota, etc.
