WASHINGTON – Vice President Dick Cheney said Sunday that Iraq is not in the midst of a civil war, but instead described the violence as a desperate tactic by terrorists in the country to stop the move to democracy.

Cheney said he disagrees with Iraq‘s former interim prime minister, Ayad Allawi, who said in an interview Sunday that the increasing attacks across his country can only be described as a civil war.

You can’t change the dynamics on the ground if you’ve criticized the brave leader of Iraq.

However, Allawi is no longer the “brave leader of Iraq” and Cheney didn’t criticize Allawi, he merely disagreed with him.

So, who ya gonna trust, some one-time leader of a country in chaos or the “vice” President of the United States of America, a man whose former company is raking in billions of dollars in no-bid contracts under minimal government oversight and accountability, a man with the testicular fortitude to say “fuck you” to the United States Senate, a man who drinks beer and shoots his friend in the face?
