a critical report off its website. The report by the DoD’s Inspector General found serious flaws in the Missile Defense Agency’s ground-based defense system. (FCW saved a copy of the report here.)
I wish this admin. would spend less time covering up and hiding their mistakes and weaknesses and more time actually fixing what is wrong. I believe this shows us all exactly where we stand with these asses.
They seem to feel that we are here for them instead of them doing our bidding. They are dangerous and evil. What makes them most evil is that they use religion to cater to fools.
This is simply an extension of the “Reagan Doctrine.” It doesn’t matter if our defense systems work, as long as they’re impossibly expensive and accompanied by really kicka-ass 3D animation of what they COULD do, if they actually functioned.
Of course, if we were really smart, we’d just produce the animation and call it a day.
Unauthorized Access Review. MDA and contractor officials did not
conduct audit log reviews for the unencrypted communications and monitoring
systems of the GCN. MDA and contracting officials stated that audit log reviews
were only required for the encrypted communications and monitoring systems and
that those reviews were performed manually. Contractor officials also stated that
manual audit log reviews were cumbersome and time-consuming and that those
reviews did not guarantee the detection of all relevant security violations. However,
DoD Instruction 8500.2 requires the deployment of an automated, continuous online
monitoring and audit trail capability to immediately alert personnel to any
unusual or inappropriate activity with potential IA implications. Contractor
officials stated that they did not implement real-time audit log monitoring
capability on the GCN system because it was not in the contract.
Ronald Reagan’s proud legacy to the American people – feel safer, anyone?
I’m more interested in the phone number (800 424 9098) they have set up for reporting fraud, waste, mismanagement and abuse of authority. Let’s see, where to begin….â€hello, I’d like to report a war in a country called Iraq which was started under a fraudulent pretext, has wasted trillions of our tax dollars, has been grossly mismanaged, oh, and some guy calling himself our elected president has abused the authority granted to him under the Constitution…hello?…hello?â€
#13. I’ve heard it said repeatedly, here and elsewhere, that “the war” is the cause for the ever-rising deficit. You have evidently fallen into the trap. “The war” has cost a small fraction of the total national debt added by this president. “The war” has cost something south of $400B, to date. The additional debt added by this president is about 6 times as much, something north of $2.1T!, and going strong. So, while he has wasted Trillions of our tax dollars, only Billions have been on “the war.”
Joe the $400 billion does not include the DOD budget, which has ballooned under bush, as well as his give away to the Pharma industry in medicare part D, or his tax give aways to his rich contributors and friends. Bush went from a budget surplus to a budget deficit and has only gotten worse every year(cause they keep the wars off budget) and the real elephant in the room is the interest payments on the $9 trillion debt when the interest goes up it could rival the defense budget but to countries like China… they might some day soon be able to fund their military off our interest payments to them. That would be ironic but tragic since instead of caring for Americans veterans we will be paying the salaries of the Chinese army
I found that most of the DoD website was inaccessable on Saturday. That must be when they were doing their work.

March 21st, 2006 at 1:32 pmhate to sound dumb, but – what is FCW ?
March 21st, 2006 at 1:37 pmIf we could ever get the enemy to put tracking beacons on their missiles, I bet we could hit them half the time.
March 21st, 2006 at 1:37 pmSounds a bit fishy to me.
Can anyone tell what was so damning that they had to take it down?
#3 – FCW = Federal Computer Week (publication) – I only know because my wife reads it.

That’s a knee-slapper, that is!
