Bush went from a budget surplus to a budget deficit and has only gotten worse every year(cause they keep the wars off budget) and the real elephant in the room is the interest payments on the $9 trillion debt when the interest goes up it could rival the defense budget but to countries like China... they might some day soon be able to fund their military off our interest payments to them.
