Fox News’s Neil Cavuto skips past the “should the United States go to war with Iran” debate and informs us we already have. Watch it:
Transcript:
CAVUTO: But what if I told you it is too late, that we’re already probably at war with Iran and most of us don’t even know it. Welcome everybody, I’m Neil Cavuto, and this is Your World.
Well the war in Iraq at going so well, maybe we will do better in Iran?
What a bunch of feckless idiots
March 21st, 2006 at 5:08 pmWell, we probably are already at war with Iran! Hell, we were at war with Iraq before it was made public, why not Iran?
March 21st, 2006 at 5:13 pmOooohhhhh please just relax. they are just softening us up for the inebidable.
March 21st, 2006 at 5:13 pmThis is akin to yelling fire in a crowded theatre, and Cavuto should be jailed for lying… if he is. I wouldn’t put anything past the Bush Regime. They probably already are…
March 21st, 2006 at 5:13 pmwell what do we need a president and congress for, we got you neil! Now I KNOW you’ll be the first to ENLIST…right? Sir YOU are a WAR MONGER, 1st Class.
March 21st, 2006 at 5:15 pmThis is awesome! Look forward to these upcoming Fox News breaking stories:
“Is Bush already the King of America?”
March 21st, 2006 at 5:18 pm“Are liberals already Godless heathens that have been executed in gas chambers?”
“Has reality already been entirely supplanted by propaganda?”
I am pleased that we don’t need congress to authorize a war anymore, Fox news can do it for us.
March 21st, 2006 at 5:18 pmSOMEBODY BETTER INFORM CONGRESS ABOUT THIS!
I’ve heard of this Administration going around Congress’s (and the American People’s) back on domestic spying, but this is ridiclous!
March 21st, 2006 at 5:26 pmBOY, THAT GANG AT FOX SURE IS PLAYING FAST AND LOOSE…
…with the term “News”.
March 21st, 2006 at 5:27 pmI’d have listened to this but my head would explode , hey if they could just get some of those brave souls to march on Tehran the way they march on abortion clinics we could save some of our guardsmans . Fox news is ridiculous , how’d anybody even know this was on .
March 21st, 2006 at 5:30 pmCongress has been replaced by Fox News.
March 21st, 2006 at 5:33 pmCavuto is not lying. He is simply doing the grunt work for the Bush administration, and preparing the masses for the possibly upcoming conflict with Iran.
This is deja vu all over again -it is this administration’s MO; they used the same approach towards Iraq. At the end, people in the US will be convinced there was no other alternative but to attack (and maybe invade?) Iran.
March 21st, 2006 at 5:33 pmWe were already at war in Iraq before we actually invaded, so this might not be too far off the mark. I am more inclined, however, that this is simply the first of many phrases and calculated words intended to give the subliminal message that when the war in Iran begins, we won’t be too surprised.
March 21st, 2006 at 5:34 pmUS can’t get a grip on Iraq, how could they take on a much more formidable foe?
March 21st, 2006 at 5:35 pmWHEN (not if) they enact the draft any bets on how many republican children will be going?
March 21st, 2006 at 5:35 pmWe’re Fox News and what if I told you it is too late, that we’re already probably at war with facts and the truth, and most of you don’t even know it.
March 21st, 2006 at 5:37 pmget to the bunker timmie, tell lassie she’s on her own!!!! christ, when is this nightmare of the bush-repugs going to go away!?!?!? faux news is too nausating to even watch, so thanks to those that do and can! how else will we know what the retardicans are up too???
March 21st, 2006 at 5:37 pmThanks , but no thanks Mr. Cavuto, it’s not my world…
I’m not buying “Red America”, either……… Red is the color of the base chakra, yeah, thats right, the one between your legs……… all the higher your thoughts can go, sex and violence………
Blue is the color of a significantly higher plane of being, and that’s the world I choose.
March 21st, 2006 at 5:38 pmDubious’ aggressive bluster at his press conference today looks and sounds exactly like the dictatorial despots he supposedly wants to protect us from.
What with all the emerging details of major permanent military bases on the oil routes, no one can get me to believe that if there is a conflict with Iran, it was “Oh, by the way…”
TO EVERY POSTER WHO TAKES THE CAVUTO ‘NEWS’ TOO SERIOUSLY…
Fear not! The bellow and shouts you presently hear, are not the sounds of an approaching army, nor of an approaching war…
But are nothing but the squeeks and squeals of chickenhawks…
And war-mongers in a tactical (and distractionary) retreat.
March 21st, 2006 at 5:43 pmGang, we’re not thinking “laterally” here.
Of COURSE the US can’t tackle Iran alone. But won’t the Mad Mullahs be astonished when they realize we’ve secretly allied ourselves with a force that battled their country to a standstill for nearly a decade.
RELEASE. SADDAM! SUMMON THE REPUBLICAN GUARD! ON TO TEHERAN!
March 21st, 2006 at 5:49 pmThe current administration’s Fear Based Initiatives need every last little staw they can grasp and/or invent for their Fearful Leader as he struggles to maintain His World.
March 21st, 2006 at 5:50 pmHas the Constitutional authority to declare war been changed from “The Congress” to “Fox News Channel”?
March 21st, 2006 at 5:50 pmyou gotta love those question mark headlines from fox:
March 21st, 2006 at 5:52 pm“vast left-wing conspiracy?”
“delay innocent?”
my reply:
“fox is journalism?”
#15
March 21st, 2006 at 5:53 pmSend the “twins”, they make me puke…..
maybe they can sicken others as well and pave the way for the Shah’s return…….
Our fools in Congress have already given this fool without honor authorization to disregard the constitution. We are all fucked.
March 21st, 2006 at 5:59 pmDamn it !
One really can’t trust this administration.
I had Syria by July 4, 2006 with 5 to 1 odds !
Damn it !
March 21st, 2006 at 6:00 pmWelcome to WWIII. Isn’t GWB wonderful?
March 21st, 2006 at 6:02 pm#22 gets it right. Since FNC is pretty much the Bush administration, we should take this as a sign of bombs falling on Tehran within a couple months.

Naaa, it’s just wishful thinking on the part of phaux/bushco so they would be able to foam at the mouth and yell at liberals for another 10 years.
Won’t happen. I have no problems with the Iranian people. I know many, surprisingly. They are crazy and good folks. Now, I can’t say the same thing about their government, but, hey…. look at who is running our show. We’re no one to talk.
Nope. Ain’t gonna happen.
March 21st, 2006 at 6:06 pmBut seriously, Cavuto (and other wingnut voices) are actively planting the notion that we’re already at war with Iran, so we won’t even blink when the bombs start falling.
Didn’t ya know? Oceania has ALWAYS been at war with Eastasia. They said so on the telescreen.
Have another shot of Victory Gin.
March 21st, 2006 at 6:06 pmI’m sure Cavuto knows this because he’s signed up to go fight in Iran. Can’t you just see him with his cute 80 lb backpack and night vision goggles with the Faux News logo?
March 21st, 2006 at 6:07 pmSo this ” Fox News ” place , it sounds mysterious . Rumor has it that they have Rudi Bahctiar in suspended animation . Oh and Ann Coulter eats children .
March 21st, 2006 at 6:07 pm#29 I’m with you.
This makes me think there isn’t going to be an Iraq-style “run-up.” It’s going to be a sudden strike, based on “slam-dunk” intelligence or some “provocative” border incursion.
Or not. This is, however, peak attack weather and all. I can’t see us waiting another year, if we miss the window.
March 21st, 2006 at 6:15 pmIran leader backs talks with US
Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran’s supreme leader, has approved proposed talks between US and Iranian officials on Iraq, but warned that the United States must not try to “bully” Iran.

March 21st, 2006 at 6:17 pmBUSH IS CERTAINLY COMMITTING ACTS OF WAR AGAINST IRAN, WITH HIS COVERT PROGRAMS TO OVERTHROW IRAN’S ELECTED LEADERS.
SO, YES, BUSH IS ALREADY AT WAR WITH IRAN.
THEY JUST HAVEN’T ENGAGED HIM YET.
March 21st, 2006 at 6:34 pm#12- Gregor, I feel that you are right on the money with this one. They are not known for having many “original” ideas. Scott Ritter also backs you up on this. During an interview he did with Randi Rhodes, more than a year ago, he predicted that this was already the plan. Given his accuracy on everything else, and the subsequent character assasination attempt waged by BushCo, this would appear to confirm it. Ohhh, man, I don’t feel to good, all of a sudden…
March 21st, 2006 at 6:35 pmCould it be that bush/cheney fed the story to faux news ~ to soften the American public into accepting what has already happened. Given the lack of congressional interest in holding this mis-administration accountable ~ as they were intended to do by the founders of our country, bush/cheney can feel with some reasonable belief that they can get away with anything they wish. We shouldn’t forget that the neo-cons believe America has the obligation to use it’s military power to assert its will on the world. So far they have gotten away with it. Given the loss of American lives and the $Billions of dollars thrown at the current “war of Terror” waged against Iraq, without any sign of congressional or public demand for accountablity, why would they stop now?
March 21st, 2006 at 6:47 pm–I accidentally posted this on the story regarding Robertson.
We’re not there yet. I’m sure some stupid fox-watching Americans actually believed him. That’s the sad part. If people keep saying stuff like this, then they’re going to piss off Iran more than we already have and all hopes of diplomacy will be out the door.
March 21st, 2006 at 6:47 pmYes Emperor Bush has basically already declared war on Iran, but has not launched the missiles or dropped bombs on them yet! He will most likely do so very soon, but do not expect the Congress to be told until afterwards! Dubya believes that he is a King and God at the same time, so WAR on the world is his mission!
March 21st, 2006 at 6:47 pmEmperor Bush has a wee-problem, though. The peasants are revolting within his own party. Maybe he’ll invade Iran as yet another distraction? Sure seems like it’s a strong possibility. He’s always looking for a way to push bad press from the front pages, right? Still, it appears that the Boy King has his hands full.
While President George W. Bush jets around the country trying to convince skeptical Americans that Iraq is not lost and headed for civil war, he faces a uncivil war at home within his own White House and the Republican Party.
“I’d say it has all the makings of a palace revolt,” says political scientist George Harleigh, who served in the Nixon and Reagan administrations. “The President’s base is not only eroding…in many cases it’s in full mutiny.”
At the White House, staff meetings often deteriorate into shouting matches with one side saying the President should be honest and forthright about the problems in Iraq and the other clinging to the failed notion that Bush should stick to his optimistic outlooks.
“The White House is a study in uncontrolled chaos,” says Harleigh. “Screaming matches are the order of the day.”
On Capitol Hill, angry GOP members of Congress openly admit they will not campaign with Bush and say his “legacy” of unpopular war, massive federal spending and spiraling deficits will be shunned by the party in the next Presidential elections…

March 21st, 2006 at 7:01 pmDamn, how much oil is in Iran?…oh that much..wow
…cheney must figure, new war, 3rd term…yeah, that will work. leak it to fox…yeah yeah..’new law, you can’t impeach a sitting presnut during a war’, so war forever!

50 Ways To Dump The Dubya
March 21st, 2006 at 7:05 pm#41, JC, did you notice how many Republican poobahs, Voinivitch, the other Senator others couldn’t make his speech in Cleveland?…..Beware the Ides of March, Two-Pint Caligula
March 21st, 2006 at 7:09 pm#23 - I think we can add Fox Journalism to that famous list….you know, the one that starts with Military Intelligence. Lately we have added Congressional Oversight. During the first Gulf War (the one most of the world supported) we had Iraqi Navy. Feel free to point out others….
March 21st, 2006 at 7:10 pm#45 Compassionate Conservative, Jay
March 21st, 2006 at 7:16 pm#44 - Indeed. Pretty soon we’ll be seeing photos of them eating each other alive. Must be some new form of compassionate churchianity.
March 21st, 2006 at 7:19 pmLeakers in the Pentagon have been warning for months that the Bush Regime Cabal were making plans to attack Iran without warning at the end of this March or beginning of April, so perhaps the secret plan is still online and the attack is imminent?!
March 21st, 2006 at 7:25 pmI can’t remember his name but just a few days ago didn’t the statesman that is assigned to have talks with Iran in a diplomatic forum say that Iran is just playing games and that He has no faith in what they say and nothing will come fromo talking with them? With foreign policy statesman like that what other options are other countries left with other than a big finger to the U.S. This administration does not try anything but waging war….and they aren’t even good at that!
March 21st, 2006 at 7:34 pmI just saw Helen on CNN’s Situation Room. She was da bomb! She tore Wolf Blitzer a new one! Did anyone else notice her witty remark about Wolf asking “tuff questions”? That was priceless! Helen’s my hero!
March 21st, 2006 at 7:43 pm#49- Perhaps it was John Bolton, sure sounds like something he would say.
March 21st, 2006 at 7:44 pmHell, they are building camps for us in America. Bush doesn’t give a god-damned about what the MAJORITY think, as long as his cohorts/cronies continue to line their pockets with money from our treasury. We started with an illegal war, NO, we started with an illegal president. Why even bother to vote? Diebold is in the Republican’s pocket. Let Florida and the Supreme Court decide elections. How much longer are we going to tolerate this bullshit. We have been blathering for years now about Iran. We have the most awesome and feared military, yet we can’t beat an insurgency. I was in Vietnam in ‘68-’69 so I do have some understanding of war. Bush just pisses me off, the chickenhawk bastard. He will send our sons and daughters to war, but didn’t have the cojones to go when it was his turn. I have been around long enough to remember Eisenhower, and Bush is the worst to come along in my lifetime. Impeachment cannot come soon enough.
March 21st, 2006 at 7:45 pmTalking with the U.S. will only get you into trouble.
March 21st, 2006 at 7:47 pm[…] According to Fox, we’re already secretly fighting Iran. […]
March 21st, 2006 at 7:50 pm
March 21st, 2006 at 8:22 pmhold on, we have always been at war with iran…
March 21st, 2006 at 8:39 pmI think we should take care of Iraq first.
March 21st, 2006 at 8:48 pmA short while ago it was “Civil war in Iraq, could this be a good thing?”
Now:
“We’re already probably at war with Iran…”
Gee, I wonder, could there be some cross-border covert ops in Iran right now, trying to provoke the Iranians into a response so we can launch a full-scale attack?
Is there another “Downing Street Memo” out there somewhere?
What about the internal memos of this Administration? Is somebody willing to risk his or her career to save thousands of lives?
March 21st, 2006 at 8:49 pmFinishing the job in Afghanistan would be good too. We’ve been THERE since 2001.
March 21st, 2006 at 8:52 pmThey are not known for having many “original†ideas. Scott Ritter also backs you up on this. During an interview he did with Randi Rhodes, more than a year ago, he predicted that this was already the plan.
Comment by Cyra Brown — March 21, 2006 @ 6:35 pm
Sorry, Cyra -I missed your post earlier.
There are too many similarities between the approach used three years ago to invade Iraq, on one hand, and the tactic currently used to demonise Iran on the other; down to the “pre-emptive strike” rhetoric restated a few days ago by Pres Bush.
Even one of the excuses is the same: Nuclear weapons. Even though Iran is years away from producing a nuclear bomb (and is complying with the NPT), the “mushroon cloud” scenario is making the rounds again -as it was with Iraq.
Knowing how tragically farcical the case for invading Iraq was, is anybody’s guess why some people are being fooled yet again. I guess you can fool some people all the time, after all.
March 21st, 2006 at 8:53 pmWe can only hope that there is a “Downing Street memo” out there and hopefully it will surface. I’m sure there MUST BE some career politician somewhere in this land of 300 million that will selflessly sacrifice his “job” to save hundreds of thousands of lives. I would bet the farm it wouldn’t be a Republican.
March 21st, 2006 at 9:10 pm#60- That’s ok. :) Well, at least they can’t use Saddam Hussein as their “Closet Monster” this time. But if this situation extends to actual troop deployment, or the idea is presented to the people, and a whole bunch of bricks are not “rectally” excreted, I just don’t know what I will do. But it is getting much harder to surprise me.
March 21st, 2006 at 9:12 pmPure yellow journalism. Classic. Hearst and the crew would be proud.
March 21st, 2006 at 9:26 pmBut if this situation extends to actual troop deployment, or the idea is presented to the people, (…)
Comment by Cyra Brown — March 21, 2006 @ 9:12 pm
But the idea has already been presented… it has been floating in the air for sometime and now it has made into the living rooms across the US courtesy of Neil Cavuto and FauxNews.
Read what he said: “It is too late”. “Too late”? For what? To stop it? To do anything about it?
“We are already at war” -he’s trying to present a non-occurence as a fait accompli, thus making people comfortable with the idea of the inevitability of the confrontation with Iran.
I wonder who will be in the “coalition of the willing” this time around.
March 21st, 2006 at 9:27 pmMarie (13): You mis-spelled S-U-B-L-I-M-I-N-A-B-L-E …
March 21st, 2006 at 9:36 pmIf Bush preemptively attacks Iran without warning, then he is no better than Tojo of Japan who attacked the U.S. at Pearl Harbar which ignited WWII?! A surprise attack on Iran would ignite nuclear WWIII and probably kill millions of people worldwide! In the end even our America would probably be nuked! Bush is certifiably insane, so he must be impeached immediately!
March 21st, 2006 at 9:38 pmWell, Civil War was a good thing to them, so Iran should prove to be a fucking orgy.

March 21st, 2006 at 9:44 pmEthics in media would be a nice thing to have.
A good start would be ethics in congress too. On that note a little diary I just posted, please read, recommend, and take the suggested actions:
Kirsten Gillibrand and Ethics in Congress
March 21st, 2006 at 9:58 pm#64- I guess I was focusing more on his “weasel words”, “what if”, and “already probably”. Wanting to believe that he was speaking hypothetically, you know? Crapola- we’re doomed.
March 21st, 2006 at 10:08 pm1. and others! They are NOT, I repeat NOT idiots! ON the contrary, EVERYTHING THEY DO IS BY DESIGN MORONIC SHEEP! Everything they do, including what Bush does is BY DESIGN! FOX NEWS IS JUST TRYING TO MAKE IT SO WE HAVE NO CHOICE IN THE MATTER! WELL, WE DAMN SURE DO! WE NEED TO RAISE HOLY HELL AND NOW TO STOP ANOTHER NEEDLESS WAR ON IRAN AND NOW! TO HELL WITH FOX(BUSH) NETWORK! If it is started then we damn sure must STOP it and NOW! FOX wants people to believe they have NO control over it so they don’t bitch out Bush nor Congress but “WE THE PEOPLE” CAN RISE UP AND NEED TO NOW, BEFORE THE EVIL NEO-CONS AND WAR MONGERING ZIONISTS FROM ISRAEL AND AMERICA TOTALLY DESTROY AMERICA FROM WITHIN, IF THEY HAVEN’T ALREADY, ALONG WITH MAJORITY IN CONGRESS AS WELL AND EVIL PNAC GROUP WHO ARE PURE EVIL AND NEED TO BE HANGED FOR TREASON, WAR CRIMES AND WAR PROFITEERING TOO!
March 21st, 2006 at 10:16 pm#66 THAT’S the spirit, Jay!
March 21st, 2006 at 10:16 pmI guess I was focusing more on his “weasel wordsâ€, “what ifâ€, and “already probablyâ€.
Comment by Cyra Brown — March 21, 2006 @ 10:08 pm
Oh, it was a weasel way of presenting it allright: “most of us don’t even know it”, i.e., relax, it is already happening, we are taking care of it, trust us.
I would not put this administration past launching an attack on Iran. After all, these are the people some in the Bush I administration referred to as “the crazies”.
They are bent on following their own designs -the world be damned. They think they create their own reality as they act.
March 21st, 2006 at 10:34 pmThe thing that bothers me most about a Bush foray into Iran is that they have cash in places that the US can’t reach. I’m sure that North Korea would be more than willing to supply a nuke COD to any shoreline city in the United States. On the other hand, it might piss off the Chinese and the Russians enough that they would provide several pro bono. The Russian plan against the secure underground sites has been sequential nukes about 30 seconds apart. Properly executed, they can drill a hole about four miles deep in about ten minutes (In solid granite).
March 21st, 2006 at 10:53 pmwhat the heck? already at war with iran? they must know more than we do. sounds similar to iraq war. do i smell wwIII? or no? just a rational thought don’t ya think.
March 21st, 2006 at 11:03 pmI have not read the full transcript, but he could be suggesting that we are already engaged in *covert* operations that are, essentially, war.
For example, Iran has protested to the americans through the swiss embassy in tehran of up to 80 unauthorized overflights a month (as in they couldn’t shoot them down…)
America really faces a problem with Iran, though. I don’t think a nuclear Iran is a great idea. Iran would like to wipe israel off of the face of the earth, American and Israeli would just like Iran not to be able to do that.
Iran is not helping itself in it’s ‘negotiating’. They stall, backtrack, etc. They are actually managing to alienate China (after Russia) which is a real shock.
The political structure of Iran also makes official policy difficult to understand - and where it is going. eg, President has no real power - he’s just a convenient firebreathing west basher.
A war with Iran would be disastrous. An airstrike on Iran would be just as bad as it would turn the Shiites against us and perhaps the religious leaders would being to ‘ok’ aholy war against the sunnis.
Of course, had we not invaded Iraq - North Korea and Iran could have/could be stopped.
March 21st, 2006 at 11:10 pmI hope that Bush keeps talking at press conferences and public events every day for the remainder of his presidency. I won’t be listening, but those that do will inevitably become sicker and sicker of the boring idiocy and lunacy of his reasoning until any thinking person will turn against him. Even those with a stitch of rationality will tire of having his/her nose pushed into the dog doo daily.
Bush is not drumming up support; just awareness and disgust over his fixations. Out of the revulsion, perhaps there can come some honest discourse on approriate actions to take globally to reduce hatred and terrorism.
Unwittingly, I think that his pure stubborn, ignorant approach cannot but help opposition in this country. Everyone is fed up with the ignorance of the neocon approach.
We are now too bored, too disgusted to answer the war drums.
Unless, they can make us afraid (again?)…it is over. They have lost. The humble and peaceful will rise again.
March 21st, 2006 at 11:16 pmbut Iraq witrh massive sectarian violence is not yet engulfed in a civil war - only in wingnut psycho world.
March 21st, 2006 at 11:23 pm#64: I wonder who will be in the “coalition of the willing†this time around.
Why, our “volunteer” army. You know, the ones who have been stop-lossed to death. Literally. (My sincere, heartfelt condolences to those who have faced this reality.)
#18. Perhaps mankind needs to move from red (base chakra) through the blue (throat chakra) to violet (crown chakra).
It is facinating that the “red” states are focused on base chakra issues: Power expressed through physical force and violence and sex expressed through homophobia.
“Blue” states seem to be having difficulty with a throat chakra predominance, however. While ‘Blue’ states have evolved and encompased the compassion predominant in the heart chakra, they have lost their voice.
What is needed is beyond blue; indigo, or violet, preferably with a strong gold crown chakra. But, at this time, he or she would be rejected - cruxified. again.
March 21st, 2006 at 11:27 pmThe Name for Faux is actually ‘NEWS CORP’

March 21st, 2006 at 11:48 pmTerrorism in Iran
TEHRAN, March 18–Commander of Islamic Republic of Iran Police (IRIP) said Saturday that perpetrators of terrorist crimes committed Thursday at the Zabol-Zahedan roadway (Sistan-Baluchestan province) had disguised as policemen.
Brigadier-general Esmail Ahmadi-Moqaddam told ISNA that travelers saw 12 of the criminals filming the crime scene during which they killed 22 people.
The killers entered Iranian territory from rugged mountainous areas near the Afghan border region that can only be controlled from the air.
“The murderers escaped when police arrived at the scene, and
the police rushed the wounded people to nearby hospitals,” Ahmadi-Moqaddam added.

LOVE IT!!!!
March 22nd, 2006 at 12:23 amFlying drones over a country is classed as war anyway, never mind the covert car bombs America is letting off inside Iran , so technically you are at war with Iran,, IDIOTS
March 22nd, 2006 at 4:59 amSh*t! While the rest of the world is trying to pacify itself, your godd*mned government and media are acting like mindless zombies, incapable of reasoning or change course, only seeking for fresh brains!
March 22nd, 2006 at 6:04 amWe have been in Iran for a while now. I was told by a reliable source that her bosses son was carrying more supplies over the border in Iran than he was in Iraq.
The bombs that went off in Iran were planted by Sp Ops,the unrest was planted by special teams with lots of our money to create that unrest much like we do in evey country that we can’t control for their Natural Resources.
Yes the American people are being con that Iran is the “devil” in Israel side and we must remove that ‘devil”.
bush/cheney/rice/rumsfeld and other neo cons greed for natural resources and power has put this world on a course of No return.
bush doesn’t expect to ever be tried for Treason against his own Country or War Crimes against Humainty and neither does Tony Blair.
bush is a dangerous man a very dangerous man one who lies with a silken expression and a nervous joke.
bush is much like Hitler was in getting Crowds of People to support his effort to cleanse the world of Terrorist ,while Hitler was focus on ridding the world of Jews,Gay,Mentally Handicaped and Gypsy’s. Sounds pretty much the same to me as our rights have been taked away much like the Germans peoples rights were taken and all Germany agree to it.
Fox is this adminstration tool as bush’s family is a large part of Fox News.
I don’t think this Regime can be stopped,I honestly don’t think it can. Congress has become powerless as its been detoothed by this regime.
George Orwell :
They could be made to accept the most flagrant violations of reality, because they never fully grasped the enormity of what was demanded of them, and were not sufficiently interested in public events to notice what was happening
Political language. . . is designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable, and to give an appearance of solidity to pure wind: George Orwell

On January 28, 2006, Iranian officials announced that they would “hand over evidence that proved British involvement in bombings in the southern city of Ahvaz earlier in the week†that killed eight civilians and wounded 46 others. This was just one of the many bombings, incitements, and demonstrations that have taken place in Khuzestan in the last year that suggest foreign intervention. The action is strikingly similar to the 2 British commandoes who were apprehended in Basra a few months ago dressed as Arabs with a truckload of explosives during the week of religious

March 22nd, 2006 at 7:52 amPaul Graig Roberts has a good take…
The security of Americans has nothing whatsoever to do with Iraq. Iraq cannot overthrow the US Constitution, the Bill of Rights, the separation of powers, and American civil liberties. Iraq cannot illegally spy on American citizens, declare them to be “suspects” and detain them forever without warrant or charges. Iraq cannot put American critics of the Bush regime on “no-fly” lists.
The real dangers to Americans reside in the neocon Bush administration. This delusional warmonger administration believes it has the power and the right to dictate to Muslim countries their political and social institutions. This extraordinary arrogance and hubris breeds opposition where there was none. The world is not going to obey Bush and a handful of stupid neocons.
We are in Iran and have been … Between the greed for Control,Radical Right Wing Religon,America’s Greed For Oil as the Saudi’s may have reached their Oil Peak that leaves .. Iraq,Iran, and Pres Chavez with the largest Oil Supplies left to steal.
Alaska has a limited amount of Oil but Unimited amount of Natural Gas and the Gulf Coast is rich in Oil and Natural Gas.Wonder why NOLA isn’t being rebuilt .. Check with Exxon and BP as they have bought up Homes in the Ninth Ward. Next bush will declare Terrorist Activities in NOLA ………
Sounds pretty far out but then again with these Greedy Oil Thristy Neo Con War Mongers …
March 22nd, 2006 at 8:01 am#89 Well, the muslims conquered all the Iberian Peninsula back in the VIII century, and they arrived to southern France, where they were stopped by the Charlemagne forces, at Poitiers (?), at Roncesvalles (sp?) gorge, where his niece died when corraled (seek for the “Chanson de Roland” historic ode). Not all the Iberian Peninsula was covered by the muslim invasion, and counterattack began in those zones free, in northern Spain (Basque Country and Kingdom of Asturias, mainly). That was the begin of Reconquista, who lasted until 1492, when then kings Fernando and Isabel conquered the last Caliphate of Spain, the one of Granada (southern Spain, search for Washington Irving’s writings).
Nowadays, we have a strong immigration index, and many migrants are from Pakistan and Morocco, so we have plenty immigrants from those two muslim countries. As you surely know, we had the commuter trains bombings in 11/03/2004. The then rightist government of the PP party, tempted to blame our national terrorist band (ETA), who is a basque separatist movement, because fighting ETA is one strong talkpoint of the right here, who advocates heavy handed tactics. But ETA never used bombings of this magnitude or style, all the evidences arousing pointed to muslim extremists, but the government wasn’t wanting to admit it, because here existed a very strong opposition to the PP government posture of attacking Irak. There were million people demonstrations prior to war, so admitting an islamist source for the attacks would have demonstrated that the PP was not only concealing the truth, but was also somewhat responsible of the bombings.
Two days later, elections already scheduled were held, and the PP was beaten off. Even when the terrorists islamic cell was discovered soon after the bombings, and the terrorists suicided by bombing themselves in a civil building, killing a SWAT, and far many more evidence of the islamist link has discovered, the PP party sticks with the ETA theory. Only far righters believe them now…
Nowadays, we deal with terrorists by means of police actions, but we don’t want to alienate any musling living here who is not a terrorists, so we don’t use heavy handed netting tactics, but good police work, and we have identified and netted almost all the terrorists. We have freedom of cult, so they are free to build their mosques, and are active socially.
As a side note, and as a news flash, ETA has just now announced the Cease Fire. Think of it. No need of military actions, only police and talks. Look too at the Sinn Fein at Ireland. They only ceased fire when the heavy handed tactics of the UK where doused with understanding and talks.
March 22nd, 2006 at 8:09 am#96 Almost fogot. Also before the 11-3 bombins, there was a bombing in Morocco in the Casa de España (a social club for Spain migrants and sympatizers, and a typical restaurant). The rightist government of Spain did nothing, at that added grievance to the 11-03 concealing of facts of the rightist government.
And nowadays, we have stretched our collaboration with the Gendarmerie of Morocco, to fight muslim integrists there and here.
March 22nd, 2006 at 8:15 amHe, when I say in #96 “We have freedom of cult, so they are free to build their mosques, and are active socially.”, I’m talking, evidently of moderate muslims, not terrorist islamic extremists.

March 22nd, 2006 at 9:08 amThe reality is that the US war with Iran has already begun. As we speak, American over flights of Iranian soil are taking place, using pilotless drones and other, more sophisticated, capabilities.
The violation of a sovereign nation’s airspace is an act of war in and of itself. But the war with Iran has gone far beyond the intelligence-gathering phase.

March 22nd, 2006 at 9:28 am[…] I caught this information from an outstanding Blog called “Think Progress” (click to visit). Basically, Fox news is implying the U.S. is already at war with Iran. Normal, intelligent people avoid war, especially when they are almost out of money, out of troops, have no support and are legally wrong to begin with. […]
March 22nd, 2006 at 9:29 am2 reasons Faux news would air such fiction:
1) Deflect attention from Iraq – i.e. building permanent bases, which means the U.S. is not leaving….ever.
2) Preparing U.S. citizens (loyal and obedient subjects) for what King George, I mean Dictator George, I’m sorry; I mean Emperor George, intends to (or at least would like to) do in Iran.
Read a little bit about Dr. Paul Joseph Goebbels or Göbbels (October 29, 1897 – May 1, 1945), Adolf Hitler’s Propaganda Minister:
The Goebbels technique, also known as “argumentum ad nauseamâ€, is the name given to a policy of repeating a lie until it is taken to be the truth. For example, when Goebbels took ownership of the Der Angriff (The Assault) newspaper, he attacked Berlin Police President Bernhard Weiss, calling him “Isidor” Weiss. To German ears, Isidor at the time was a name with strong Jewish connotations. Eventually the public believed Isidor was Weiss’ real given name and he became a figure of ridicule. Goebbels also pioneered the use of broadcasting in mass propaganda, promoting the distribution of inexpensive single frequency radio receivers (the so-called Volksempfänger (People’s radio)) to the German public which ensured that millions of people heard the output of the Reich’s propaganda ministry while being unable to receive news and other broadcasts from outside Germany. Meanwhile his ministry busily broadcast Nazi propaganda around the world by shortwave radio. Newsreels, movies and books were impossible to publish without prior approval and censorship by Goebbels’ ministry. He is credited by most historians with developing many techniques of modern propaganda.
Ad nauseam is a Latin term used to describe something that has been continuing “to the point of nausea.â€
For example “This topic has been discussed ad nauseam”: it has been discussed extensively and everyone has tired of it – i.e. we will accept your argument as truth, if you stop talking about it.
It is the false proof of a statement by (prolonged) repetition, possibly by different people. This logical fallacy is commonly used as a form of rhetoric by politicians, and it is one of the mechanisms of reinforcing urban legends. In its extreme form, it can also be a form of brainwashing.
If this isn’t the M.O. of this administration/quasi-dictatorship, then nothing else is.

March 22nd, 2006 at 9:45 amGood Morning America, how are ya.? Do you all remember when I posted some time ago that in the wording of the papers for Bush to go to attack on Afg. and Iraque the wording allowing him to go into these countries, voted by the congress stated something like any country or nation. I wrote my senators and pitched a fit then and have been since. The wording alone allowed him that authority. Waramonging pigs all. Like our congress has a right to war on any people before the fact or with out a threat to our country. Arrogance is to be our down fall..
I keep stating the more he blabs in public the more crap he and his administration is doing in secret all at the same time. Picking our pockets clean as it were, or locking many of us up, never to be seen again. Think the public is getting tired of listening to him, perhaps that is what he want’s…If we tune him out and turn away we are truly becoming immune to more and more horrific deeds.
I post here less and less because I am more active elsewhere. Note this bunch is selling us out on every front. Our service people are still being killed for the Bush war, our econemy is in the toilet, Katrina victoms are still missing and being neglected or displaced thanks to Chertoff and Bush, our wild lands and parks are under attack thanks to Bush and Pombo also the new guy from Oregon. The list goes on and on from sell off, spying on citizens, to pollution.
May I suggest to all here our time may be better spent being active in any and all the above mentioned problems rather than sitting in front of the screen. Our biggest task is to get this bunch of basterds out of office now…….Blessings

March 22nd, 2006 at 10:06 amBin Laden is already dead, and America too
The world hates your foreign policy
were all boycotting your goods
your bankrupt
your all thiefs tarred with the same brush
nation or murdering thiefs
As you can see things are so desperate with America,
You want respect in the world follow these simple rules
What to Do
1.
Take the high road, and set a real example for the world
• get rid of old, tired responses (“national security†is obsolete; we can only think now about “human securityâ€) and develop more enlightened intl. policies.
2.
Deal aggressively with the recent terrorism by pursuing justice not war
• hold terrorists responsible through international police work, producing arrests, extraditions, trials and imprisonment; harboring nations will cooperate with a criminal investigation not armed intervention
• pursue justice through international tribunals not unilateral US action or US blackmail of other nations to provide window-dressing for unilateralism.
3.
Sign international treaties and obey them; stop putting ourselves above international law and the international community.
4.
Pull out of US military bases, beginning with Saudi Arabia; such bases don’t protect us from enemies, they create enemies.
5.
Turn over Middle East peace process to neutral parties (such as a commission of recent Nobel Peace prize winners).
6.
End the economic sanctions against Iraq.
7.
Launch a serious campaign to develop alternative energy sources, so as to dramatically reduce our dependence on oil and eliminate the main reason for our military and economic presence in the Middle East.
8.
Enlist the world’s Muslim leaders to forcefully show how bin Laden is not a hero but rather an enemy to true Islam, thus neutralizing and shortcircuiting his followers.
9.
Stop using war and violence as US foreign policy; stop supporting repressive regimes and terrorist groups; stop the double standards.
10.
Recognize the latest terrorism as merely the tip of the iceberg, which won’t be eliminated until the mass of humanity can share the fruits of modernity; the sources of terrorism are structural violence, world poverty, social upheaval, epidemic diseases, and deadly conflicts
• cancel the third world debt, and promote policies that reverse the outflow of resources from the developing world and that close the gap between the wealthy and poor nations of the world
• take the $40 billion allocated for a military solution, and devote it to humane purposes, beginning in Afghanistan; “bomb†them with food, clothing, and medicine; do something different, unexpected; show them a new America.
11.
Stop the war on drugs abroad, and the terrorists it helps create; decriminalize drugs at home.
12.
Establish a code of behavior, enforced by the criminal law, that requires US multinational companies abroad to obey international human rights treaties.
13.
Resist the civil liberties clampdowns at home; they will have no effect against dedicated, professional terrorists.
14.
Encourage Americans to lead their leaders rather than follow them, like sheep, into war and other misguided foreign policies.
15.
March 22nd, 2006 at 10:08 amCatch up with history: globalization should stress our interconnectedness with other peoples, and not be merely a new opportunity to exploit them.
#106 Since way back when Bush was originally campaiging I felt that his crew was using the Goebels model and have held fast to that ever since as it is ever more evident every day. Heck even as guv of TX he was doing it, but not quite as visibly because we did not get TX news on a daily basis. Even though it is true that is how they use propaganda all you will get from the pinheads is “we are nto nazi’s” which is nto at all what is being said…though at times the implications are there.

Catch up with reality and understand there are some real bad people out there that need to be killed one way or another. Understand that people are basically bad and that they will NEVER put the good that can be done for the majority ahead of the good than can be done for themselves. One more thing…your plan has been tried before in one form or another and failed. The UN and the World Court are useless appendages of a failed Utopian fantasy that has killed more people than it has saved. The fact is if it were not for the unilateral action of the USA this world would either be totally destroyed or totally enslaved right now.
I suggest you get back on your meds.

The fact is most of the young Iranians like America and Americans and would love to get rid of the theocrats in power. So you’re wrong about them. Also…Iran has a lot of uninspired men and a lot of crappy Soviet equipment and one mechanized US Army division would walk over them in a week, so you’re wrong about that too. In addition you’re a fuckstick. Come on over, I’ll give you a flying lesson myself from the top of my office building.
March 22nd, 2006 at 11:28 amAh Adolf, that’s what the Wehrmacht said about the Russians. And I would have thought that the last three years in Iraq would tell you that if it only takes a few thousand determined Iraqis to deny control of the road from Baghdad to the airport, then several hundred thousand similarly motivated Iranians will shatter your toy soldier dreams in a few months. 500,000 US soldiers couldn’t hold Vietnam, 130,000 can’t hold Iraq and you think Iran is a pushover with what? Stop watching those Chuck Norris films, they are clouding your judgement.

March 22nd, 2006 at 12:18 pmIf you don’t believe we are, or soon will be, at war w/Iran, check out the ravings of the Paranoid Pentecostals that are propping up the Bush regime - like Pat Robertson. They are absolutely drooling with delight over the prospect of Armageddon - which they take from their sick, twisted misinterpretation of the Book of Revelation. They actually do want WWIII - see it as a way to usher in the second coming of Christ. Bush actually does believe this crap. This is why traditional Republicans are scared as hell right now. They know they’ve been pimped to these wackos, but thought they could control them - WRONG. The American Taliban brook no nonsense - either you agree with them, or they kill you.
March 22nd, 2006 at 12:27 pm# 122, I’m inclined to agree. Read some quotes illustrating what the Religious Christian Right think about the good, the bad and the hell bound.

#122, I’ll take my chances that the Rapture is just what it is: a 19th century snake-oil salesman posing as a preacher’s pitch. Does not mean I intend to tailgate all those cars with ‘Jesus is my co-pilot’ stickers on the back, but I do find myself thinking sometimes that I hope Jesus grabs the wheel if I’m wrong.
March 22nd, 2006 at 12:38 pmIf the MSM and “lefties” are “aiding the terrorists” by speaking out against domestic spying, isn’t FNC aiding the enemy by letting them in on the fact that we’re at war? Wouldn’t that make them anti-american since they’re giving away such info and putting us at risk??
March 22nd, 2006 at 12:41 pmI like to think that I can at least understand where someone is coming from, even if I don’t agree — or even angrily disagree — with what they’re saying.
But in this instance I just cannot figure out what the motivation is for FNC/Cavuto to make this statement. I don’t even see how Neocons can find any upside to it, whether it’s based in reality (as they see it) or pure bullshit. I mean, what’s the point?
March 22nd, 2006 at 12:48 pm#124 My father in law was talking religion with one of these nuts one day. This guy (on of my in laws co-workers) was talking about the rapture and how he can’t wait till it happens and brings him into the presence of god etc… My father in law looked at him and asked “What if it’s already happened?” The guy was silent and had a perplexed look on his face after that and never talked to my father in law again. I have no doubt that way too many of these people have read the left behind books and think it is all going to happen now.
March 22nd, 2006 at 12:51 pmAm I the only person who thinks Bush’s approval rating will sink to 10% if we go to war with Iran? Maybe I’m naive…
March 22nd, 2006 at 12:56 pm#128 - that was my point previously - he doesn’t CARE what we think anymore - he’s on a mission from God, and he’s only got 3 years left to bring about the end of this sinful world. I wouldn’t be surprised if he invade N. Korea if it would get Jesus here sooner!!
March 22nd, 2006 at 1:07 pm#128 I think it will slip no lower than 30% because at least 30% of the country will believe anything the man child says. Sadly though I think his approval ratings will rise as his PR machine will trade off things like flag burning, gay rights, abortion etc…as things some will support him for while simultaneously pressing aggression against Iran.

People like John Kerry and Jane Fonda should have been hung as traitors for what they did during Vietnam. My hope is that this country gets hit hard in some place like Berkeley and we use it as an excuse to declare Martial law.
I would dearly love to see the likes of Boxer, Pelosi, Kennedy, Kerry, Gore and Murtha hung for traitors by the US military. It would be a great moment in American history. March 22nd, 2006 at 1:48 pmAs a self confessed liberal from Mass you’re more than naive, you’re stupid, but that’s just to be expected. How many times have you voted for that fat drunk and his sidekick the Vietnam traitor?
Euroloser and pussy who surrendered to the Islamists without firing a shot.
Both comments by I-RIGHT-I
Hey, I-R-I, how’s it hanging? You sure are on a rip today calling people “idiot” and “pussy” and such. Tusk, tusk. Such language coming from a true believer.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m just guessing: its say that you are one of 36% who still thinks President Bush is doing a “heckofa job”, while the other 58% of us recognize a total nincompoop when we hear one (Newsweek Poll, 3/18)?
March 22nd, 2006 at 1:50 pmGlenn showing IRI he is what he cries about is not debate but very easy since he does most of the typing.
March 22nd, 2006 at 1:54 pmTH, I think the Holocaust can count a ‘Christian headchopper’ exercise:
I’m sure these young men are also Christians - do they count?
March 22nd, 2006 at 1:58 pmyou’ve become increasingly more troll-like in your rantings of late irighti. You should seek help.
I agree that your average Iranian (I know many) doesn’t hate the US people is in fact correct. But if you think those very same people will idley sit bu and let bushco march through their nation, then it is you my good sick poster, that is naive and delusional.
Your comments reguarding Kerry aa a Vietnam era traitor…hmm, let’s compare a man who served 2 tours in Vietnam, was wounded multiple times, won a bronze star in assisting a fellow soldier out of an active firefight against a drunken cokehead who went AWOL and is now King dumbya. Yea, you sure know how to pick ‘em.
Seek out mental health. I’m thinkin’ you need some help.
March 22nd, 2006 at 1:58 pm#133 Well, altough your country under the neocon GOP has fired a lot of shots, you don’t have the #1 terrorist (I would be fair and let you choose, Al Zarqawi or Bin Laden), Al Qaeda is stronger than ever (and has a brand new firing range at Iraq), and the drug crops in Afghanistan are taller and thicker than ever. Your country’s deficit is of cyclopean proportions. So, to have the very same effect, or worse, we prefer to save time, money and lives in a war that isn’t ours and don’t fire a shot in a country that hasn’t done anything to us, dixieloser.
And for the islamists, we have in jail the ones who planned our bombings, and we are helping your country (not your GOP) in Afghanistan. Maybe you don’t want our help… tell Bush.
March 22nd, 2006 at 2:16 pm# 139, here are the “Radical Christian†quotes that I referred to in post # 123, to clarify my position.
My aim is not to “bash†Christians. With so many different people and groups trying to get us to “buy†what they’re “sellingâ€, I only seek knowledge, truth and the facts (which tend to point out the errors in Radical Christian and Radical Muslim beliefs).

March 22nd, 2006 at 2:29 pm#142 - and I noticed ETA just announced a permanent cease-fire - seems that Spain’s approach to terror and anarchy is having a positive effect.
March 22nd, 2006 at 2:29 pm#143 We hope so, too. Thanks.
