Today on CBS’s Early Show, Bay Buchanan — right-wing strategist and sister of Pat Buchanan — argued that the government can, and should, deport all the undocumented workers in the United States.
Transcript:
BUCHANAN: Every guest worker program in the history of this country and any other country around the world has always turned into amnesty. He says it’s impossible to move these people out. It is certainly not impossible. It is very realistic. We should absolutely stand up to the law and let people come through legal channels, but in no way reward them for illegal behavior.
But as Gov. Bill Richardson (D-NM) later points out, it is “unrealistic to deport” 11 million people, many of whom are already paying U.S. taxes. A 2005 American Progress study found that it would cost at least $206 billion over five years to deport all undocumented workers. The annual $41.2 billion cost exceeds the entire FY06 budget for the Department of Homeland Security.
Transcript continues below:
CBS: Governor Richardson, what happens to all of these businesses and there are many businesses, big and small, across the country, whose lifeblood is cheap labor. What happens to these businesses when they don’t have anybody to work there anymore?
RICHARDSON: Well, a lot of them are going to fall apart whether it’s agriculture, whether it’s service industry and a lot of these undocumented workers are paying taxes. They have families that pay taxes. What Miss Buchanan is suggesting is unrealistic. You’re going make 11 million undocumented workers felons, along with their families. It’s unrealestic to deport them. What you going to go into their homes, knock on their doors, find 11 million? The cost is going to be prohibitive. So what you have to do is be realistic.
Unfortunately, the people are not being heard on this issue. People want serious immigration reform that includes deportation. It is probably Bush’s biggest blunder on an easy issue - reject big business and the left and reform the process.
Democrats are already on their smear and fear campaign over this, but is there any doubt if an attack on America has anything to do with illegals getting in from the border that they would blame Bush? Of course, not.
Bush’s biggest failure is when he ignores the base and tries to compromise with those that hate him.
March 27th, 2006 at 11:58 amI would like to see the republicans really push for this type of immigration law. It would push all of the latino voting blocks straight over to the democrats.
March 27th, 2006 at 11:59 am#1 - “Bush’s biggest failure is when he ignores the base…”
Are you one of the “haves” or the “have mores,” Danny? If you are neither, Bush doesn’t give a shit about you. Actions speak louder than words.
March 27th, 2006 at 12:04 pmThe ones already here are currently an essential part of our economy, so tighten the border so no more come through illegally, and once thats been dealt with, then we can look at either setting up a worker program or anouther viable alternative.
And thats coming from a rightwinger.
March 27th, 2006 at 12:05 pmDanny, you could’ve stopped at “Bush’s biggest failure.”
And what is this “base” of which you speak? The marginalized 34% who support the idiot fascist?
March 27th, 2006 at 12:08 pmActually, Pres. Bush’s biggest failure is in trying to run the country without getting input from his “cabinet” that has the experience.
Basically, this is a man who ran every company/business he was involved with into the ground and has consistently lost money and resources.
This is a man who tells lies, and then gets upset when people call him on his lies.
The problem is not with immigrants coming to America, the problem is being such a failure on national security that you have no solution to any problem.
I cannot wait until the mid-term elections and the Republicans lose seats. Of course they will blame their failures on anyone/everyone else rather than take responsibility for their failures. This is typical Republican behavior.
March 27th, 2006 at 12:08 pmHey Danny in Texas,
If you’re really from Texas, you must have a friend, colleague, or associate who would become a felon for doing nothing more than trying to find a better life. How does that make you feel?
t-mac
March 27th, 2006 at 12:11 pmSupporters of Bay Buchanan’s rhetoric are too simple to follow the more substantial conversation of Gov Richardson.
March 27th, 2006 at 12:12 pmOh for cripessakes. Give me a break. Deport 11 million people. Who’s going to do your lawn, lady?
And another thing concerning this issue. Why don’t the latinos who come across the border stay in their own countries? Because there is no work. Why? you ask? Because we decided to send our economic hitmen in to do the neocons work.
March 27th, 2006 at 12:12 pmThis would keep the cops so busy for so long, the drunk drivers would kill millions, no convenience store would be safe, every kid in the country would be molested at least twice, the rest of us would be strung out on meth…and who would build the jails? God forbid we’d have to pay prevailing wages after all the cheap labor’s gone.
March 27th, 2006 at 12:13 pmThe republican party has proved once again …they are big spenders of our Tax Dollars
lets exspell the Republican Party to Iraq. That would cost far less!
March 27th, 2006 at 12:15 pmCan you imagine what this would do to the Court system! We have eleven million years of litagation! How would they be transported? In cattle cars? Would we have to concentrate the in camps until their legal cases and adjudicated. Gee this is a wonderful idea! while were at it lets get rid of the Jews and the Muslims too.
March 27th, 2006 at 12:18 pmOne of the complaints about this new immigration law, or something like it, is that it would also be criminal to help an illegal immagrant in anyway, including allowing them to attend your church, or providing first aid.
March 27th, 2006 at 12:23 pmMy guess is that those favoring booting ‘em all don’t like to eat either.
Illegals aren’t just out tending fields. They work ranches, livestock, & processing of foodstuffs.
I’d agree that those jobs should pay living wages. I accept that I’d pay more for what I buy as well.
Funny thing about this argument. Those that are most rabid about sending illegals home are the very same ones who are against unionization of the workers (raises pay) and are most against the price of their food going up (because the price of production went up).
Cognicent disconnect. The one IS part of the other, but they believe and want things that are counter to the other. Typical rightie hypocracy.
March 27th, 2006 at 12:28 pm#7 Mr. T-mac, what would happen if the tax laws were enforced like the immigration ones, or any Federal law for that matter. Altruism doesn’t need legal authority but we are a country of laws not good intentions. Just because everyon has a cousin who is here illegally doesn’t mean it’s ok. What if everyone had a cousin that didn’t pay their Federal Income Taxes?
March 27th, 2006 at 12:30 pmSome people live in an utter dream world. Does this woman get paid to voice these insane opinions? I will be the first to admit that tightening up the borders is a necessary step in defending our country, but the illegal workers aren’t here to incite terror. The terrorists of 9-11 weren’t hispanic migrant workers out there picking the harvest. The sheer cost in time, manpower and treasurery would far top the cost of the current war in Iraq.
March 27th, 2006 at 12:39 pm“I cannot wait until the mid-term elections and the Republicans lose seats.”
Lose the to who? The Democrats?
March 27th, 2006 at 12:43 pmSo this week instead of reporting good news from Iraq…
the Rethug strategy is going to be talking about subtle racism….A/k/a Immigration reform to rally their base……
MEDIA dont let these morons CHANGE THE SUBJECT
The biggest issue facing all Americans today tomorrow and ten years from now will be the IRAQ WAR
Nice try Republicans…you have just lost the Hispanic vote (the fastest growing populations segement in the country) for years to come in order to pacify a dwindling base of supppoters……
March 27th, 2006 at 12:43 pm11 million people, roughly the size of the entire state of Ohio, could you imagine the cost of deporting an entire state? The whole issue is just a red herring to whip up a dwindling base…We couldn’t affoed to do it even if we really wanted too…Business doesn’t want it, The tax man doesn’t want it, the judical system doesn’t want it…and certainly the legistlation doesn’t want it…What’s the next non-issue..deport the illegel gay marriage, flag burning, tree hugging, unpatriotic, anti-christian, enviromental, women rights feminazis?
March 27th, 2006 at 12:43 pmI used to work for a food service company that had operations all over the U.S. Schools, prisons, hospitals etc. I worked in the HRIS dept. A couple of years ago, we started agressively targeting the associates with invalid social security numbers. They had a certain amount of time to submit a valid SSN or they would be terminated. When we started terminating these people, entire operations around the U.S. were being shut down. We were terming all of the illegal immigrants and it was was shutting down our business. Needless to say, the company back tracked on this policy. This is what would happen to thousands of businesses all over the U.S. if we deported all 11 million. Immigrants are the backbone of this economy today and we need to realize it.
March 27th, 2006 at 12:44 pmYes, it’s very realistic. Hitler did it to Poland’s concentration camps. These repugs know where to find good ideas!
March 27th, 2006 at 12:48 pmI live in Los Angeles California, I would estimate that 85% of the service industry jobs, ie fast food, car washes, landscaping, etc are staffed by Latino’s. And let’s face it when we talk of illegal immigrants were are refering mostly to Latino’s. I don’t know what percentage of those people who are employed are legal or illegal, but I would imagine if we deported them, we would have lot of problems. Not to mention that a rally for immigration rights in LA this weekend brought in over 500,000.

March 27th, 2006 at 12:53 pmMy family came from Scotland, many many years
ago. But they still came from someplace else.
Its not the immigration that right wing nuts
March 27th, 2006 at 12:56 pmoppose, its the brown skin of those immigrants.
Here is one of my favorite sayings from the Talmude ” When you have a mouse, it’s the hole’s fault.
March 27th, 2006 at 12:57 pmA good idea would be to take the physically fit illegal immigrants and make them join the military and go to Iraq to fight for america.
If the Republican want to deport 11 million illegal immigrants, they should pay for this out of their pockets.l
March 27th, 2006 at 12:59 pmThey did that during the civil war Mary,
Irish immigrants fresh off the boat were pressed into military service for the Union army. Also many immigrants, and children of immigrants serve in the US military already. It is a way for them to get money for college, and get out of poverty.
March 27th, 2006 at 1:04 pmGive me your tired, your hungry, your huddled masses… and I will box them in crates and ship them to Cuba.
March 27th, 2006 at 1:08 pmTo deport 11 million people, it would take a quantity of busses that would stretch from San Diego to Alaska.
I wonder if the busses will be imports?
March 27th, 2006 at 1:08 pmI vote if the Republicans want the immigrants out so bad, they foot the bill.
March 27th, 2006 at 1:21 pmSomeone in the Bush family probably owns a bus company.
March 27th, 2006 at 1:22 pmBush has pushed for the guest worker program etc, mostly I think because large corporations, want a pool of cheap labor. It is the lunatic right like Buchanan who want to shoot down our borders. Remember buchanan is no friend of GWB.
March 27th, 2006 at 1:25 pm#28,
They can use the ones from Katrina.
March 27th, 2006 at 1:27 pm#25 - Mary, they already do this. If an immigrant joins the military it is made much easier for them to gain citizenship (I have several friends from a variety of locations who obtained their citizenship in this fashion). Regardless, as has already been mentioned, this is a non-issue that they have trotted out ONLY to rally their base and take everyone else’s mind off of their collosal failures (raising the debt ceiling, the nightmare that is Iraq, etc.). This is nothing more than political masturbation meant to obfuscate the REAL issues which they are losing on.
NOTE: I’m not trying to insinuate that immigration is a non-issue but, this proposed legislation is simply impossible. It would not be cost effective nor would it solve the problem (not to mention destroying thousands of small businesses in the process). This is a red herring folks meant to get their base revved up and NOTHING more.
March 27th, 2006 at 1:29 pm#32 Nagen left them to get flooded, there no good. The trailers though, we can house them in them until deportation time.
March 27th, 2006 at 1:30 pmThe ones already here are currently an essential part of our economy, so tighten the border so no more come through illegally, and once thats been dealt with, then we can look at either setting up a worker program or anouther viable alternative.
And thats coming from a rightwinger.
Comment by squegeeboo — March 27, 2006 @
How about stiffening the fines for knowingly hiring undocumented workers? Sure didn’t hear THAT “coming from a right winger” - as usual.
March 27th, 2006 at 1:30 pmNagen left them to get flooded, there no good. The trailers though, we can house them in them until deportation time.
Comment by squegeeboo — March 27, 2006 @ 1:30
squegeeboo is for internment camps! What next herr squeege?
March 27th, 2006 at 1:31 pmActually Dano the new legislation does include fines for hiring illegals.
March 27th, 2006 at 1:32 pmIf it is “very realistic” to deport 11 million people, think how easy it would be to impeach two. I think we should accomplish impeachment before we try to tackle any other problems.
March 27th, 2006 at 1:33 pmem>The trailers though, we can house them in them until deportation time.
Comment by squegeeboo — March 27, 2006 @ 1:30
Don’t EVER try lecture liberals about FDR’s internment camps, cause we’ve got you on record bubbie.
March 27th, 2006 at 1:34 pm#36 HA, curses, you found me out.
What I would actually like to see, is:
March 27th, 2006 at 1:36 pm1.an increase in border control to a size where it can stop the flow of illegals.
2.Set a time frame, say 10 years, at which point being an illegal will be a federal crime, I understand that these people are an important part of the economy, but within 10 years, there’s no reason they shouldn’t be able to either immigrate properly, or have some sort of visa.
Quicker, cheaper and even more realistic to deport Bay and Pat Buchanan and “Danny from Texas.” Send all 237,000 “activists” with “NumbersUSA” too. Danny, this is the only issue your numb-nuts president has ever been right on, and it’s what got him elected in Texas in the first place.
Katrina was what opened the country’s eyes to the fraud that is the Bush Administration. This weekend’s half-million-strong PEACEFUL protest is pulling the sheet off of the rest of the GOP.
March 27th, 2006 at 1:37 pmPressing 11 milion people in the military? You mean, pay 11 milions of full gear, training, wages, retirement benefits? Then, if you think federal taxes are high right now, only wait for it.
As I said in other threads, many empires were lost to fiscal stress due to the military payments. And if your army is already stretched and the GOP is trashing every welfare program for the shake of pay military adventures, you must only pray for this option to double lose: you will lose the cheap workers, and you would have to pay milions out of your retirement, roads, et cetera.
March 27th, 2006 at 1:38 pmActually Dano the new legislation does include fines for hiring illegals.
Comment by Krazny — March 27, 2006 @ 1:32 pm
I know; thanks but it’s not to the point. “[A]nouther viable alternative.”
Is this what you mean? My point is he couldn’t even say the words “stiffening fines. Did you think I wasn’t aware of the statute’s various kinks?
March 27th, 2006 at 1:39 pmSee my point now Krazny?
March 27th, 2006 at 1:41 pm#30 LOL– Actually, it’s the UAE royal family that will get the bus vending contract.
March 27th, 2006 at 1:42 pmRyan,
according to the LA times, there is still much argument over what exactly will be in the bill. the story I linked above talks about making it a crime to provide medical aid to illegal immigrants, but the story below indicates that the provision has been dropped. It mostly looks like there trying to come up with a way to deal with the problem and quickly.

March 27th, 2006 at 1:44 pmI do thanks for clarifying Dano. I just want to make sure that we are all on the same page here.
=)
March 27th, 2006 at 1:45 pmit’s actually not a matter of booting anyone. this is a typical neocon christian reich tactic. Observe. the louder they holler the more inclined I am to ask someone to snoop around. My guess is that good old lady Buchanan might just have a Chinese slave locked in her house somewhere and a few cooks that make tortilla soup on Sunday.
March 27th, 2006 at 1:46 pmSuch pure genius, devoid of the slightest whiff of practicality or of a hint of a logical thought process, can only germinate in a Republican mind.
Alternate universe material.
March 27th, 2006 at 1:47 pmBay Buchanan is also batshit crazy. But hey, what you gonna do?
March 27th, 2006 at 1:49 pmSqueege is just afraid that he may have to start working at McDonalds so someone can make him his Bic Macs.
March 27th, 2006 at 1:50 pm#53 please, I get a whopper from burgerking.
March 27th, 2006 at 1:51 pmOh, and I guess Burger King only hire immigrants from countries other than Mexico.
March 27th, 2006 at 1:53 pmwe must ‘connect the dots’ on the war against the sick extremist religious radicals of this administration.
dot three: about at dot three, the truth of the master plan is shown: the contract with halliburton anticipated the republican senate approving the house of representatives master plan to turn 11 million people into felons, house them in halliburton concentration camps… but, the pretextual reason for the concentration camps is given as emergency preparedness and an influx of people, when actually the reality of the scheme is quite different.
have a nice day!
oh, and fuck bush
March 27th, 2006 at 1:54 pmMe thinks that the Buchanan’s were involved in some massive experiment to see how many times a family can be collectively dropped on their heads before permanent damage is done.
I would like to say without knowing the exact number, the experiment was a success.
March 27th, 2006 at 1:55 pm#54 That food will make you stupid. It is filled with disgusting transfats and way too many sugars. I hope you don’t feed that to your kids or your pets. A good family will sit down and eat with their kids and stop wondering why kids have no attention.
March 27th, 2006 at 2:12 pmDeport 11 million people? Wouldn’t it just be easier to gas them? Fascists Rule!
March 27th, 2006 at 2:38 pmThose of you who support the “full civil rights” of illegal aliens apparently don’t give a sh*t
about the USA, it’s soverienty, or the sanctity of its borders. Illegal aliens have, by definition,
already aptly demonstrated their disdain for the rule of law. Otherwise, they would have
taken the legal route to immigration — there is a process that hundreds of thousands of
immigrants take every year to become legal naturalized citizens. Those businesses that
insist upon the need for cheap illegal alien labor remind me of the plantation owners of the
Confederacy who claimed that their entire economy was dependent upon slave labor. Many
of those same employers also claim that they cannot get enough skilled labor, and demand
an ever increasing number of H-1B visas. The real truth is that these employers cannot
find enough willing American workers for the wages they are willing to pay, not that they
could pay. The American taxpayer is, in effect, subsidizing these employers with Federal
mandated state benefits for illegal employees — many of whom work “off-the-books”. CA,
NM, AZ, TX, CO and many other states are asked to pay for the health care and education
(E.S.L.) of illegal aliens without the full help of the Federal government regarding enforcement.
Hospitals and health care clinics in every locale where there is a large illegal alien presenced
have seen a dramatic increase in STDs and drug resistant diseases like TB.
The Bush administration needs to recall all National Guard units from Afghanistan and Iraq,
and put them on our borders. Not only should walls be built on the borders, but razor wire
and minefields put into place as well. Every military base that the Bush administration has
ordered to be shut down (Base Realignment and Closing Commission) should be re-fitted as
internment camps for all of the 28 million illegal aliens currently in this country. After being
processed for identity and any other criminal activity, they should all be deported. I am not
a racist — I don’t care whether the illegal aliens are from Ireland, Israel, France, Mexico, or
Mecca — they should all be deported, period.
If the Federal government refuses to accept responsibility for, and security of, the USA’s
March 27th, 2006 at 2:52 pmborders, and the invasion of illegal aliens, then there is no hope for this country’s continued
existance. A real “conservative” administration not beholden to either big business interests
or prostituting themselves for a crack at the illegal alien vote, would turn the entire problem of
illegal aliens over to private enterprise. There are provisions within the US Constitution for
bounty hunters, and may prove jobs for patriotic American citizens already displaced by
the triple whammy of globalization, offshore outsourcing, and job competition with illegal
aliens.
Leave it Bay Buchanan to suggest it is “realistic” to deport 11 million people.Good thinking Bay! Wern’t you the one who dressed Pat up like Hopalong Cassidy when he was running for President? How can people even listen to these profundly troubled people and actually take them seriously. The problem in America is these fools. Americans actually think she knows somethng. All they really know is how much they love the sound of their own voices.I include her brother too. They really believe the “American People” are that stupid. HL Menken was right:” No one ever lost a dime underestimating the intelligence of the American People.”
March 27th, 2006 at 2:54 pmAmazing!
#15 (Fly-Man)
Thanks for your reply. We are indeed a nation of laws, and I agree that people should obey the law, fair enough. But it seems that laws are not equally applied in this country. It seems like laws only apply to those without connections. We need to bring immigrants who are already here into the system. If you want to stay here, fine, pay taxes and contribute like the rest of us. Period.
t-mac
March 27th, 2006 at 2:55 pmI’m for legal immigration, my wife is Italian and Irish. BUT, her ancestors went through ellis island or some other state sanctioned method of becoming citizens. It is simply not enough to just require that the Latino group to learn English, pay a fine. There are people of great importance to us as well. People that are highly trained in electronics, programming, math, physics etc languish because they can’t sneek accross a leaky border. Many of these professionals have given up and gone elsewhere or made things better in their own countries. So you get your kids watched, lawns cut, cars washed etc…WHAT ABOUT EUROPEAN IMMIGRATION? Half of the country are brain dead and the rest get too emotional.
March 27th, 2006 at 2:56 pmdEPORT tHEM aLL…
Deport all 11 million illegal immigrants currently in the United States. Can it be done? Should it be done?…
March 27th, 2006 at 3:00 pmLOL !! Republicans are so funny !! Deport 11 million ??? Come on guys, get seriuous !!
March 27th, 2006 at 3:10 pmLisa Ling gave a special report on Oprah about the MS-13 (”Mara Salvatrucha”) gang. They are El Salvador and Mexican young men who are brutal and violent. They started in California but are in 33 states now, and even international.
http://www.oprah.com/ tows/ slide/ 200601/ 20060131/ slide_20060131_284_101.jhtml
Initiation includes being beaten for 13 seconds. One person in the gang since he was 8, now 20, killed someone when he was 9. The gang charges local businesses protection fees. They make addional money by drug trafficking.
No one ever asked the question on the show, are these US citizens or illegal aliens, or some combination?
There should strive for no illegal immigrates or illegal employers. We do have laws and citizenship means something. Mexico can not make the US its dumping ground for its problems. We have enough of our own. Is there any study about violence and illegal immigrates, and how much that costs us, in addition to the social services and medical care?
March 27th, 2006 at 3:12 pmThen it’s realistic to deport all of the right-wingers in the U.S. as well. At least those named Buchanan.

March 27th, 2006 at 3:26 pmLooks like the lunatic fringe is now speaking for the Republican Party. Good, I hope every Republican is forced to decide, Big Business or Deportation. This is a great wedge issue to lay at their doorstep. Alienate their source of money or their rascist base. Tough call.
March 27th, 2006 at 3:28 pmJust another example of a batshit-crazy Republican trying to put a simple “solution” to a complicated problem. Bay Buchanan is nothing more than a walking talking point.
March 27th, 2006 at 3:32 pmBrilliant! Deport everyone who is not Navajo, Sioux, Cherokee, et al. And while we’re at it let’s send all the slaves: Black; Irish; et al; back to where they came from too. I will be in rapture when all of these devils mascerading as christians leave us behind. Good riddance
March 27th, 2006 at 3:35 pmPat Buchanan is no more convincing in his drag-queen persona as “Bay” than he is as his usual lumpy self. The reason they propose impossible shit like this is that they aren’t serious about fixing immigration. Never were, never will be. The right likes it just the way it is.
Proposing impossible solutions like this will excite the trailer park and utterly fail to change an advantagrious sitution for the right: cheap labor that scares white people into voting for them.
March 27th, 2006 at 3:37 pm.
he mass illegal-immigration problem started in 1994 with Bill Clinton’s signing of NAFTA, which effectively bankrupted many Mexican farmers and put thousands and thousands of Mexican workers out of a job. Meanwhile, back at home, our government extended subsidies to corporate agribusiness entities, which then attracted the now unemployed Mexicans. Corprations win out - they not only receive corporate welfare, they also have access to cheap slave labor. This is a problem because it drives down the wages of manual labor. And to protect their moral crimes, the corporations complain that nobody would do the jobs anyway. Well DUH, not at the money you’re getting away paying these people..
I love diversity and will fight to the end for the right of anyone to LEGALLY immigrate to this great country. But I draw the line when people come here illegally, and turn around and export their wages back to the motherland, and use our ER’s scott free when they get sick or injured.
The problem is NOT one of racism or xenophobia, which is being wrongly touted by misguided democrats and liberals. The problem has to do with these people being screwed by both Mexican and American governments, and American corporations and businesses all to eager to capitolize on their unfortunate situation with sucky pay and no benefits.

WOW! thank you so much for enlightening me regarding Army Regulation 210-35 regarding forced labor at the new halliburton concentration camps…
you are exactly right and i am so pleased to see that others are ‘connected the dots’ on these radical extremists in the white house.
sincerely,

oh, and fuck bush
March 27th, 2006 at 4:25 pmI think it is very realistic that Bay is a man. Why do republican women look like men? Is it the anger that shrivels their faces and wrinkles them up?
March 27th, 2006 at 4:47 pmCertainly all the undocumented wetbacks can be deported if by “deported” you mean bulldozed into open pits and buried alive.
There are thousands of crematoria that are not operating at full capacity — and the inner city tattoo parlors would certainly appreciate the increase in business associated with the accepted standards of ‘client’ tracking.
March 27th, 2006 at 5:00 pmBay needs to admit to her own ancestor’s illegal entry into this country, as she did to me when we went to high school together in DC. Of course, she won’t remember, because that would get into her radical, nutso politics. But Bay, darlin’, there are those of us who have very clear memories, and like the rest of your family and party, you are just an oppotunistic fraud who has had a facelift. Meow.
March 27th, 2006 at 5:01 pm11 Million people. That is alot of people. A more realistic approach, (a difficult concept for righties, I know) would be to focus on the EMPLOYERS of the 11 Million people. Fines do not work. Just ask the widows of the mine workers in West Virginia. Instead of arresting the illegal immigrant, for having a job, and trying to have a better life, find out who has employed them. Then go straight to the top of the “food chain”, and arrest the head of the company. Make each incident subject to a one year stay in a Federal Penitentiary, mandatory, NO EXCEPTIONS! No plea deals, suspended sentences, probation, nothing. Get caught, go directly to Prision. I am certain if you went to the gulf coast today, you could easily find illegals working (through subcontractors) for Halliburton. Easy, arrest the CEO. Far fewer of them, and much easier to find. And very satisfying as well.
March 27th, 2006 at 5:09 pmAs a fourth generation Californian named Rodriguez, whose family came from Barcelona, I wonder if I would have to carry around my birth certificate (certified) and have a lawyer on retainer should the Repos succeed.
March 27th, 2006 at 5:29 pmInteresting, her brother said on TV Sunday that they wouldn’t have to be deported, that “attrition” would take care of them.
But my on-line Webster’s defines “attrition” as
“3 : the act of weakening or exhausting by constant harassment, abuse, or attack”
Should I wrap my birth certificate around a Glock, Ms. Buchanan?
Guess who works in the kitchens at many restuarants around the country? I know Apple Bees hires alot of mexicans to work in the kitchen…. so now you make all those people felons…they get pissed… and they are COOKING OUR FOOD…. ya ..what is that white shit in my potatoes?
March 27th, 2006 at 5:35 pmThis is what Bay must be thinking:
“We get everyone with a pickup truck or an SUV to meet at the Wal-Mart, see? Then we’d all head out to them gated sub-divisions and round up every yard worker, brick layer, and maid what looks darker than this here brown paper bag and cain’t understand no English, see? Then we’d put ‘em in church buses from the 1st Baptist Church and drive ‘em to Juarez, see? If they’s hungry, we’ll give ‘em a baloney samich - we don’t need to be mean to ‘em”
March 27th, 2006 at 5:36 pmAfter reading many of the above posts it seems that the supporters of massive illegal immigration have flooded into here like they ahve on the streets of LA and other large cities.
Take off the masks fellas … you are not fooling anyone. If the USA is to survive as it was founded, then it must get rid of these 12-20 million illegal aliens, who are mostly from south of the Rio Grande border with Mexico. Make no mistake about it, those who support keeping these invaders in this country are not friends of America, they merely want more of their comrades to join them. Does anyone in his right mind believe that these people will merely be content to continue picking tomatoes and oranges after the demographic numbers are in their favor?
March 27th, 2006 at 5:59 pm[…] Think Progress […]
March 27th, 2006 at 6:18 pmBay Buchanon is one of the great minds of the 11th century. Would she feel this way if most of the illegal immigrants were from Western Europe?
March 27th, 2006 at 6:37 pmSo who is going to pick those tomatoes and oranges when you ship the 11 million people out R0sbon? Are you?
March 27th, 2006 at 6:37 pmcruel as it seems,we need to collect-haul these illegals in( our civilian-military truckers would this and even hire same-mexican truckers) tractor-trailors,which is exactly… the same way they entered our country-illegaly-like the trucks who smuggle illegals….in the first place. and imagine all the illegals who ‘walked’ into this coutry by back country trails.damaging the enviroment, littering these trails,as they invaded the country. we could place(as prisoners-chain gangs, like sherrif arpiao-arizona does with americans)) these illegals along the (now exit trails)trails to pick up and employ-at the same time; all the trash-diapers-shit-feces they left,comming-in…and make them take it back to mexico! as they pick up their mess …on the way out. of course,we would ‘pay’ them the illegal wages they earned while they were (here) in the first place, which would allow them to buy govt food staples, and keep them working, but also keep them moving south! the national guard could handle all this,if they are brought back from iraq!
March 27th, 2006 at 6:48 pmNext,we would face some big problems at the border, since ‘vincente fox’ would be there with the mexican army, refusing the illegals to return to mexico.so we simply close the border for ALL traffic until FOX decides he has enough, since mexico depends on tourists,it would make fox take back his ‘refugees’ from poverty-’pronto’!
Also,we would make forced marches, along certain highways into mexico, that we would also dump ALL the TRASH the illegals left in america, and force FOX to accept it,in the interior+ use mexican trucks to haul it into mehico.we would make the able bodieded ones go back, since they were sooo cllever at hiking-sneaking in the wild, they woulld be very this way comfy doing this same, going back to ‘mehico’.
the only problem with all this is that the border would require vast resources to further guard the now strained area, from ‘return’ atempts, from the freshly ‘exited’,who would be desparat to re-enter.
I have a plan for this, but it’s doubtful that many will read this,as it is too realistic, and poloticians would find some kind of excuse to not do this kind of plan, but put a pragmatic thinker in the equasion ,and you could have a plan that works.
Fess up all of you supporters of millions of illegal aliens … wasn’t this the plan all along. To flood America with millions of Mexicans and South Americans … take up the lower paying agricultural and domestic jobs and then declare how dependent the lazy Americans are on these laborers, and about how they cannot get along without them now. Well it is not worth the destruction of America just to satisfy a bunch of feminized people who are too lazy to pick their own vegetables. We should have never let ourselves become so complacent while depending on foreign illegal laborers to do our dirty work, but we must do the right thing now and send these people back south again.
March 27th, 2006 at 7:06 pmDawk,
Your angry tirade is flawed in so many ways is hard to know where to begin -I guess the first step would be to point the obvious: Not all illegal immigrants in the US are Mexican nationals. Also, close to 40% of illegal aliens entered the US legally with a nonimmigrant visa, accordingto the INS.
Your “solution”, as much as I can understand it gives you sadistic pleasure, does not address any of that.
The problem is -as so many have pointed out- that illegal aliens in the US are able to find a job because there are plenty of employers more than willing to hire them. That’s the reason why so many risk limb and life to enter and/or stay in the US illegally. Not only that, illegal aliens are a thriving industry: There are entire criminal networks dedicated to smuggling people into the US. Some of these networks “deliver” their human cargo directly to the people who will hire them. Again, your “solution” does not address any of that.
Your “solution” is more rooted in sadism, racism, and hate rather than an honest atempt to solve the issue at hand.
March 27th, 2006 at 7:17 pm#92. OMG you must be joking. i cant believe you think it is so cut and dry–how can you even afford to have a computer? Does that brain actually make you momey??
March 27th, 2006 at 7:42 pmFirst I have to say that they are here illegally. They are breaking the law. I don’t feel sorry for any business that employs them, they are also breaking the law. We are a nation of laws, they are breaking the laws as they exist today. So we grant all them amnesty, what then? We went down this road in 1986. We granted them amnesty and now we have 11 million. I trully think we should make Mexico a state, but sinse that is not going to happen, we need to keep them out. When people ask why real wages have not grown over the past ten years of prosperty in America, this is why. Every working Amercan gets paid less money because of illigal immagration and we pay higher taxes also.
March 27th, 2006 at 8:01 pmI am not a racest, I do not want to see this countries education and health care system fail becuase we have 11 million illegal workers in this country, or if we do not stop it, 40 million.
Yeah, let Bush fix it. When he’s done we’ll have twice as many here and we’ll be at war with Mexico.
March 27th, 2006 at 8:15 pm95 — great attempt at economics 101, try again. a marked increase in income always brings about high inflation levels.
Some can blame the imigrants all they want but until the day they stop shopping at walmart they are just walking jokes with useless mouths. and hypocrits.
March 27th, 2006 at 8:28 pm#1. I want to puke when I see the “undocumented” aliens marching demanding their American rights, while carrying Mexican flags. What is it about Illegal that you don’t understand??????? Round them up, work their asses off for nothing for six months fixing up after Katrina. Then throw them back across the border. They won’t come back if you don’t make it really pleasant for them with all the freebies the Cities, Counties and State agencies provide for them.
March 27th, 2006 at 9:59 pm#2 Don’t put water and maps out for them. they might get the mistaken idea that you really want them to come in illegally, instead of the accepted legal way.
#3 Why don’t the repugnicunts get the N.R.A. involved. they kissed their asses to win the presidency. Now they can help by plugging the holes in the border with a few rounds. Just a little flesh wound here and there….they’ll get the idea. Might even get a few terrorists.
I have interfaced with many people not born in the United States. They range from the bottom of the barrel to the cream of the crop. As a rule, those from middle Asia can write software, but it is full of exclusions and errors. From the far east and the near east, it is another story, very detailed. In the near east, one deals with extremists. I’ve had colleagues from both extremes during my career. I had a recent Lebanese colleague who can speak any languages that he experiences in about three weeks. He has English, French, Italian and the seven Arabic dialects. He aced an Arabic language test and was not told that he could bring a dictionary in. CIA rejected him because he still has family in Lebanon. He is in the Navy and was selected as a sailor or the year for straightening out payroll in our Italian bases. At the other extreme, I had a Lebanese colleague who believed that the Confidential Disposal box was for outgoing mail.
March 27th, 2006 at 10:30 pmWhy is it that people have no problem jumping all over the people at the bottom level, while allowing the instigators, and the enablers, and the creators, as well as the ones who are openly breaking our laws every day, to get away with it. As long as the President breaks our laws, and nothing is done about it, we have no justification for going after illegal immigrants. The president is destroying our country, what could be worse than that?
March 27th, 2006 at 10:43 pmI need to see a list of the jobs Americans alledgely won’t take. George Bush has said there are such jobs but he doesn’t list them or reveal the origin of the list. Enployers who hire iillegal immigrants are breaking the law. If we arrent and imprison bank robbers who have broken the law, shouldn’t we be equally rigorous in arresting and imprisoning e=business people who break the law? Also,m I have heard people say illegal immigrants pay taxes. How can they income or ss=Sodial Security taxes if they don’t have a social security number. Can someone explain that to me? Our government reports that Mexicans working in the US sent dtwenty billion dollars in remittances to Mexico every year. What is the effect on the US economy of that amount of money leaving our economy. American workers would spend the money here. What effect would that have on our econom? What should be done about US companies who put up billboards in Mexico with the message that a Mexican who crosses the border is welcome to apply for a job with that compan? I bvelieve wt need factual information about these issues in order to have aq rational discussion about this very emotional issue.
March 27th, 2006 at 10:55 pmIf that bill is signed, expect hell to burn all over the streets of America. And it’s all thanks to the boy King named George.
March 27th, 2006 at 11:39 pmI believe that the 10 million illegals should be deported. Maybe they should go the way they got here.walking sneaking and hiding, sorry they have taken enough time of this country’s. We pay more for oil and don’t complain. We will just have to pay a decent wage for the people to work in place of them. Scenario, these same people are now legal immigrants they will now get an education FREE, because of the background and they now become citizens. Guess what, they will take your job! They now will have to have a standard wage, now $2.o00 an hour but your wage! They will get special loans for homes. Their children will get free education, free medical, free everything. Who is paying for this$Because they came here illegally and got rewarded. Maybe the citizen test for US citizen will be in Spanish just for them or any language. Not my thought of legal immigration. My friend from Germany had to work and do the right things to become a citizen. By the way they don’t fly the flags of their country,on our streets, and say I defend my country and they want to be a citizen. and tell us that is okay It is time to think. The people coming over the borders are by the second .They just want to live here. They don’t like us. They still have their strong ties and loyalty to their country as I heard a women today on the news. When you are an American citizen you are An American citizen.During the german war. My german ancestry had to fight thier own countrymen. They were glad to do it. They had become a citizen of this country. Our financial sytem cannot handle it. They are not medically correct. They are bringing old diseases here. Small pox is one. They should go back. How ever long it takes. Come here the right way, please.
March 28th, 2006 at 2:04 amSorry meant to say $2.00 an hour. Correction. There are laws. They broke them already and should not be allowed here. If you break a law you get fined or what ever punishment with that law. They think they can break the law and then when they break another law they will be set free. Send them home and secure the borders. Better yet let them live on Bushe’s ranch. Let him take care of them or Chenny’s sprawl in Wyoming.11 million illegals are a lot of illegals. It has to stop and now is the time to stop it.
March 28th, 2006 at 2:31 amBush has created the problem by placing a welcome mat for people to cross the borders. A few years ago Bush in a campaigning mode and looking for more votes introduced the idea of amnesty for illegals and spoke on their behalf in a number of political tours. Solving the problem of immigration is like solving the Iraqii problem–let another president do it. The man knoweth not what mischief he creates. America has a real problem. It is located in the White House. Some reasonable solutions may be forthcoming from a congress that has been in a fog dealing with such areas as choice, Schiavo, screwing the middle class, squandering the national treasure, supporting a meaningless war, etc. President Fox who supports the emigres moving to the US should be touched for several billions of dollars or pesos for a partial upkeep of his citizens in the US. I do sympathize with the young high schoolers, marching in the streets, who profess their love for this country and what it has to offer them and hope that a reasonable solution can be reached to help them. But first a solution must be reached on how best to help the young people of Iraq who are in the process of starvation, pervasive destruction, death and a future as bleak as any on the planet.
March 28th, 2006 at 9:09 am[…] People like Bay Buchanan (Pat’s sister) wants to deport every one of the 11 million estimated illegals in the country. Sound reasonable? But as Gov. Bill Richardson (D-NM) later points out, it is “unrealistic to deport†11 million people, many of whom are already paying U.S. taxes. A 2005 American Progress study found that it would cost at least $206 billion over five years to deport all undocumented workers. The annual $41.2 billion cost exceeds the entire FY06 budget for the Department of Homeland Security. […]

March 28th, 2006 at 6:46 pmTo the person who’s worried about what they might put in her food at Applebees if they get mad. Most of them don’t even bother washing their hands. You should be worried now.
March 28th, 2006 at 8:22 pmtest
March 29th, 2006 at 12:12 amI’m against amnesty for any lawbreaker. Especially 11 million of them. This isn’t a matter of having to fill jobs American’s don’t want. That’s just propaganda. It’s a matter of NATIONAL SECURITY. If we cannot protect our borders, we cannot protect our lives and our economy. I don’t recall seeing 11 million Canadians illegally crossing our borders.
March 30th, 2006 at 10:45 amAmericans have to realize that the core of our border problem is Vincente Fox and his corrupted government. He wants to us to solve his government’s inadequacy to supports HIS people. They are not OUR people! We have no obligation to financially support the Mexicans. We have American citizens in poverty, unemployed and on welfare too. The pressure has to be put on Vicente Fox. If we give into the Mexicans demands to allow them to BREAK OUR LAWS, then we might as well give into the TERRORISTS too.
How will our government support these additional 11 million people? They blatantly demand that we allow them to break our laws and they carry the flag of Mexico in our streets! What’s wrong with that picture? Giving them amnesty sends a bad signal. Once they are ‘legalized’, you can be sure that all their family members in Mexico will break the law to get here and demand we give them amnesty too. So times 11 million by at least 6. Soon we’ll be call the United States of AmericaMexi.
The Democrats want them here so they can get the ‘poverty’ votes and the Republicans want them him for the cheap labor and big profits. Basing our Nation’s Security on Money & Politics will only lead to our demise.
It will be a matter of time before these Mexicans will start to demand higher paying jobs if they are ‘legalized’. Then what will we do? We won’t have cheap labor anymore will we? Then more illegals will come here to do cheap labor jobs and the cycle will continue! It won’t end with amnesty, it will only end with strong borders and pressure on Vincente Fox to support his people and stop encouraging them to break our country’s laws!! So what’s the solution? We must strengthen our borders by employing more agents , use the sophisticated technologies available to us to identify and deport, build the wall, and put pressure on Vincente Fox to keep them in their own country! It’s a crime of this nation if we don’t demand that it’s a crime to come here and arrogantly break our laws and disrespect our country. The illegals have be forced to get on the long line and do it the legal way. Our Constitution protects us from foreign threat. This Mexican Tsunami is equivalent to Terrorists Attacks against our Nation!
Dee Modera
You all state that there are about 11 million Immigrants that are living right now in the states, but you all don’t show from were you all got these statistics. So how do you prove that there are 11 million immigrants in the states. Well first I would like to know how or how came up with those numbers of immigrants. If they actually have prove of it, then if they have them in percetages of how many come from all the countries. I sure that the majority is from mexico, but not all immigrants are from mexico. From other countries do we have immigrants from. Please email me with this information, I would real like to know all the right information. I belief these would be a good topic to discuss in my collge or to do a paper on. I also think the people should see the fact from were you all get the statistics from. It is not fair justto blame one country, because of all the deffferent cultures that we have here make the U.S.A a bettter place. We should be gladof our culture blend. No one has is and maybe we will be the only ones to have it.
March 31st, 2006 at 6:40 pmPlease,Please,Please, Someone tell me, when this debating going to be over and when we will know the final resolution ??? Is there a certain date???
March 31st, 2006 at 8:02 pmIf there are 10 million to 20 million illegals in the U.S., as some have claimed, that means that as much as 7 percent of the U.S. population is here illegally. Does that really make sense to you?
March 31st, 2006 at 8:27 pmThe rhettoric language surrounding any discussion of the 11 - 20 million illegal Hispanic or mestizo Indians currently residing in the US must be abandoned, and the facts shown about this invasion by the natives of Mexico and other areas south of the border.
First one must address the issues squarely and forget the romantic hyperbole about how much better America is with these illegal aliens taking jobs away from American citizens. All of this talk about how diversity makes us better is nothing but bs … and some will even say that these people only take those jobs that Americans refuse to take .. another fallacy.
The land area at the border on both sides is much alike, so why are these people crossing a politicial line and expecting to find a land of milk and honey?
Why would economic and politicial opportunities abound on the american side but not on the Mexican side if the terrain and geography were essentially the same on both sides of the border?
It must be in the people … so why would a Mexican coming across the border to the US be thought of enriching the culture of America? But of course he isn’t enriching the American culture, rather he is essentially a thief on a mission to steal a job from some American citizen.
Now that the romantic tinge has been removed from this invasion of illegal aliens, we can now perceive reality at last, and see this Hispanic invasion for what it really is … an armed and illegal invasion of the American southwest with the intent of reclaiming it for the Mestizo culture.
These illegal aliens have not only broken the immigration laws and are really criminals, yet they seek to enrich themselves further by stealing or taking jobs from American citizens.
March 31st, 2006 at 11:08 pmFor the illegal aliens to come out of the woodwork and say they help the American economy is so rediculous that it makes me sick. They have come to believe that we owe them! Years ago the father and maybe sons would come, stay on the farm, work the crops and go back to Mexico. Perfect! That’s what it is supposed to be. Over the years they got on social programs and started bringing their whole families. They fill our schools, social services, jails, streets and take what our ancestors have worked and died for us to protect and give to our descendents. It is up to the American people to stay together and bid them adios. Time for them to go home before they bankrupt our society. They wave their Mexican flags because they love their mother land. Please go home and make Mexico a country to stay and fight for don’t try to steal our from us.
April 2nd, 2006 at 12:49 amThe fact that a number of posters on here still think illegal immigration is okay even after the rallies where illegals showed that their loyalty is obviously to Mexico, not the United States, leads me to believe one of the following is true:
1.) Americans have become thoroughly brain-dead due to political correctness.
2.) The posters who believe in illegal immigration are really members of the seditious La Raza, MECha, Brown Berets or other America-hating groups.
Frankly, I hope the answer is #2 because if Americans still believe illegal immigration isn’t a threat then the United States is undoubtedly doomed and will turn into a third-world corrupt country like Mexico. At that point, posters, please don’t complain about anything because the U.S. is now exactly how YOU wanted it.
Also, what some posters are apparently choosing to overlook is the incredible amount of crime illegal aliens commit, the rapid growth of extremely dangerous gangs like “MS-13″, the shutting down of hospitals due to illegal immigration, massive overcrowding of schools and massive amounts of free (to the illegals) social services. Not to mention, of course, that they refuse to assimilate and instead are forcing their language, culture and ways of life on US.
In addition, the number of illegal aliens in the United States is undoubtedly grossly underestimated. D.A. King, on his website http://www.theamericanresistance.com estimates the number of illegals is over 28 MILLION. I have also seen other reputable reports that put the number of illegals at 20,000,000.
We are being INVADED. WAKE UP! Greedy, unethical businessmen and uninformed, ignorant Americans will result in this once-great country turning into a third-world cesspool in 30 years (if not sooner).
WAKE UP! WAKE UP! WAKE UP!
April 4th, 2006 at 2:03 amBRAVO Dee Modera I couldn’t have said that better myself!!!!! You really hit the nail right on the head!!!! But you forgot one thing …they have already controlled this country when they got the right for english speaking americans to have to press 1 for english, not press 1 for spanish
April 6th, 2006 at 11:15 pmI personally think that our government will keep allowing the immigration problem to grow and soon instead of immigrants being the minority they will be the majority and then they will start deporting americans to mexico!!! Won’ that be a wake up call!!!
April 6th, 2006 at 11:21 pmo personally think the government will continue to let the immigration problem to grow and instead of the immigrants being the minority they will become the majority and they can start deporting americans to mexico!! Won’t that be a wake up call!!!
April 6th, 2006 at 11:23 pmHumanely Deport them One at a time. While it is true illegal aliens pay taxes of 7 billion dollars a year.
We as American pay 50 billion dollars a year for social services for illegal aliens. That cost doesn’t include education.
One third of people in jails and prisons are illegal aliens which cost American tax payers an additional, 3.3 million dollars a DAY.
The Federal government spends 51 million dollars a year on air fare deporting illegal alien at $600.00 a head. In 2002 the cost to arrest and process an illegal alien was $ 1,700.00 at present it is more. Last year 3,900 Illegal aliens child molesters were deported. There are 50 illegal aliens on death row. I was appalled to see the number of death row sentences reduced to life sentences for the reason of retardation.
75% of illegal aliens have a less than 6th grade education. 50% of Mexican immigrants and anchor babies will drop out of U.S. high schools each year.
Illegal alien from special interest countries apprehended in 2005 was: Algeria 11, Egypt 17, Iran 25, Iraq 31, Jordon 27, Pakistan 101, Philippines 85, Syria 13, Thailand 29, Yemen 7.
The illegal aliens have a high rate of re-entering the country after being deported. Some re-enter as many as 3-5 times. A half million have been ordered to leave the United States and they are making a mockery of the law. We must Discontinue the catch and release program because they release the illegal alien in the United States and 95% of them do not return for their court dates.
The Washington Post has reported if illegal aliens are given amnesty these conservative figures will triple. There are many more services that illegal aliens use beside the ones mentioned here.
To claim something by and illegal act is illegal. These people do not want to be an Americans. They want to reclaim the land for Mexico. The politician that are of Mexican decent want open boarders and legalization for all Mexican foreign nationals. What will happen when they get 51% of the vote will they be as kind to Americans? I think not.
Our boarders are in CHAOS we must insist that immigrants follow the law and immigrate legally. Americas elected officials must be reminded, too, that we all took an oath to protect and uphold the Constitution and the law of the land. To do less would be a violation of that oath.
Illegal aliens will have to use legal channels to enter the country. American in no way should reward illegal aliens for illegal behavior! The bill that is before the Senate as of April 2006 offers a bill that is cleverly disguised but is Amnesty, the minute they get a green card they are eligible for Welfare. In 1986 when Amnesty was given it was estimated that there were 1.5 million illegal aliens in the country over 3 million showed up for Amnesty benefits. We can expect the same this time too.
We must stringently enforce the immigration laws and we need more boarder security and a fence along Americas southern boarder. New York City alone has 55,000 police offices our 2,000 boarder has only 11,000 boarder patrol agents. Cheap Labor for big business is not good for the American Peoples pocket books.
April 7th, 2006 at 3:40 pmThe solution is so easy. Change the laws that keep enployers from verifying if they are legal or not then give them a short time to get rid of all illegal immigrants then inpose a minimum $100,000 fine for each and every illegal found working for them. Then a prison sentance if you get cought again. These businesses are not hiring cheap labor because Americans don’t want the job they are greedy thieving basterds lining their pockets with billions of dollars at our expense. Take a look at the construction industry, many fellow Americans that were making 40 - 60 k are now unemployed while illegals fill the job for well below minimum wage.
April 8th, 2006 at 6:36 pmWhat about the fact that they broke the law and are being rewarded for it. Do you realy belive that they will register, and if they did they will want more money and the rest of their family to join them here in America. Think about it most legal Americans can’t afford health care, add 20 to 30 million more indigent workers to the list.
I keep hearing coments like we are all immigrants, well my relatives came here legally, not running across the border.
I supported Bush on most things but both partys are screwing us now.
I think its time that something is being done. I’m tired of these immigrants being able to live here and not being able to speak my launguage. I think its about time EVERYTHING should be printed in only english! I’m sick of opening a new product and first thing I find is the spanish, and I have to look for the english version. It america, if you want to live here, learn english or get out! And I don’t want to hear you complain that my dad pays your dad 2 buck an hour to hoe cotton. If he can’t speak english thats the job he’s qualified for. If you dad gets shipped out, then we buy a machine to replace him. Little bit more money but worth it!
April 10th, 2006 at 11:16 pmAnother thing that bothers me is that immigrants come over here, dump out 15 babies and get all the health care they want. My tax dollars take care of them, but lord forbid that I get cheaper healthcare. Maybe I should go to mexico, dump a baby out and see if I get the mexican goverment to take care of me. haha.
But hey this is all my opinion :)
the united states is over populated now…. enough is enough.. the goverment and some of the wealthy u.s. citizens appear to be selling us down the river here….atleast we’ll know who to blame when revolution comes…them and theirs…..exsistance is’nt as big as it use to be. cherokee jim shelton
April 11th, 2006 at 11:33 amWhy do you think we as TRUE Americans don’t march in the streets? I think it’s for two reasons…1) We don’t want to appear prejudice or be called bigots. 2) Some Hispanic thugs would probably do some drive-by shootings if we did. Isn’t that a sorry fact? Why isn’t this considered domestic terrorism? I honestly think our politicians get so insulated from reality and the real world that they really don’t deal with the problems associated with illegal aliens like we all do. Any suggestions on how to get our message out without protesting in the streets?
April 11th, 2006 at 2:56 pmOk I undrstand that most people on here are the stupied idiots educated by Fahrenhiet 9/11 or what they see on a liberal web page or newspaper, But if you idiots had half a brain you would realize that both parties are the same . In every other democracy there are hundreds of parties but in the land of the free only 2 that people vote for? If the average poor stupied American can pick the way he wants to die it makes him feel like he matters than if he was given no choice but to die anyways seriously its one big act you think they really care and want to help you are the dumbest inbreed hicks I’ve ever heard. These Illegals come into Amercia illegally then whine that they love america and want to have rights and welfare. If they love America so much why didn’t the enetr leaglly tell em that if you love something why would you break its laws I f can answer that without ssaying some crap about america being built for people seeking freedom than your and idiot have fun being the lower half of society because unlike most of you I benefit from BUsh’s tax cuts so it’s off to the country club for me have fun at work you slobs lolololol.
April 13th, 2006 at 10:23 pmAll you illegal immigrants come to America because you think that being an American is so wonderful. Well, if you truly wanted to be an American you would speak English like an American. You would pay taxes like an American. You would pay for healthcare like an American. You would obey laws like an American. In reality, you don’t want to be an American. You want to ride on the coat-tails of Americans so that you can be supported by a true American.
April 15th, 2006 at 5:40 pmI say illegal is illegal……I don’t feel sorry for the people who hire illegal aliens, they’re breaking the law too. The people hiring cheap illegal immigrant workers are probably getting rich, not just getting by.
April 18th, 2006 at 10:38 amOh and I forgot to mention the huge amount of illegals getting free educations off american tax payers. I thought you had to produce a birth certificate to enroll in school? My wife went to a school that was 99% hispanic and 70% of the students were illegals. I’m all for people bettering themselves, but legally and not off the backs of hard working people.
April 18th, 2006 at 11:13 amwell im an illegal immigrant myself and ive heard some crazy opinions like taking us to war and fight for the u.s.., yea h right, lol we’ll work for the u.s but u must be stupid to think well go to war and get killed shitttttt. but yea this is going to be quite a mission to take all the illegal immigrants out and for a fact its way more than that maybe doubled. n yea we are the backbone of this country and without us the u.s would fall to the ground n all were trying to do is better ourselves but some people dont see that.
April 19th, 2006 at 9:05 pmAll this politically correct racial backslapping is sickening, grow up will ya?
The reason you feel so gracious and embrace tolerence is because you lack the courage to dissappoint. Send them all back, yes, along with 29% of our current prison population which are illegal aliens.
They are all docile ant-like workers now, but give it 5 years or so when they see what $10 an hour gets you - a #3 at Burger King and a diet coke. Then comes anger and payback at never reaching the false American dream.
Then it’s 11 million (and counting) looters and malcontents on the rise in your nice suburban neighborhood, and it’s also by then too late. They won’t be those peaceful lawn care workers forever - - you heard it here first.
April 20th, 2006 at 4:28 pmIf you read the comments of post #130 you’ll see a glimpse of the real attitude illegal immigrants have. Hey lilshadow you ARE NOT the backbone of America!!! You are a law breaking parasite that is hurting our economy and country way more than helping it. In Mexico we’d be thrown in prison for 2 years for doing what you’re doing here. If you’re so “tough” then why didn’t you and the other 12 million illegal MEXICANS stand up to your government? Why didn’t you use that “bad ass attitude” and change Mexico to be a country you’d like to stay in and fight for? Truth be told you’d rather come here and STEAL what our ancestors have entrusted to us. We want you to GO HOME. You have the attitud that we are getting sick of and that could lead to a civil war. Don’t kick a sleeping giant. This one is waking up and your ungrateful attitude will bring your demise!! ADIOS ILLEGAL ALIEN!
