  2. Evil Spaniard Says:

Correct me if I'm wrong but he can't vote either, isn't?

  3. kindness Says:

Now he'll have to go and borrow Darth Cheney's any time he needs to wave one around in the Capitol Rotunda.

wtf does this asshole need a concealed weapon for anyhow? Like that is gonna save him from his lord's vengence. He must not think his lord is very powerful.

  4. Tony W Says:

the boys at the NRA must be asleep at the wheel...I'm sure it's only a matter of hours before they try to introduce legislation to get this assault on the god given rights of indited felons overturned...

  5. AvengingAngel Says:

The persecution of Tom Delay continues. As the Hammer himself put it:

"People hate the messenger. That's why they killed Christ."

  6. yankeluh Says:

He can vote until he is CONVICTED. Which should be forthcoming!

  7. FeudalPress Says:

Is that "people under felony indictment can't carry concealed weapons",
or "convicted felons under additional felony indictments can't carry concealed weapons"?

  8. Democrat Soldier Says:

#5 - So it won't come as any shock when he's found "guilty" and the media crucifies him, right?

  9. Mary Poppin Says:

When is Delays court date anyway? The good people in Texas need to vote him out of office. Then he would probably become a lobbyist if he is not convicted. He is so corrupted. He needs to be in federal prison.

  10. Pete Bogs Says:

what exactly is DeLay's message? must be that line from Wall Street: Greed is good...

anyway, they'll probably get DeLay's guns when they pry them from his cold, dead hands... works for me!

  11. Zookeeper Says:

    Whatever works.

  12. Jesus Christ God of WAR Says:

Ah, only in Texass. The BugMan DeLay is nothing but drama. Why, I'll bet he's a Drama Queen in real life... which is bad entertainment at best.

DeLay is finally getting his just rewards for incredible greed, power, and stupidity.

  13. wisedup Says:

wow..why would he want to carry a gun?....you mean someone out there doesn't like him?....SHOCK! He can just hit folks with is little hammer.

  14. JIMBO Says:

#12 I agree, he is such a drama queen, he even has to smile through a mugshot.

Oh, and by the way it's Texa$$.

  15. Anti Warhol Says:

Then how will he be able to shoot old people in the face?

  16. S.D. Says:

Alert the NRA!!! Bet he carries one anyway. What took them so long?

Convicted Felons can't vote, not indicted ones..

  17. WaltTheMan Says:

At least the roaches are safe.

  18. Mark Says:

The NRA stands by their position that Criminals should not posess weapons. So if they back down and still support DeLay they will show their true partisan colors.

  19. Shannon Says:

    LOL!!!

Let him keep his guns - I want to pry his fingers off the levers of government.

    "I am the government!"

  21. P. Edward Murray Says:

Oh, goody! Maybe this will give Mr. De Lay a bit more humility!

  22. Northern Light Says:

Poor old Tom, stripped of his guns,
For a reason no more than a trifle,
He must find it hard, hoist on his own petard,
With no Luger, no Ruger, no rifle.

  23. Curtis Sommer Says:

What's the statute on Felons voting? Or holding public office? Impeach the crooked Bush administration, any Republican or evenm Democrats toadying up to the , and the Republican Supreme Court filled with crooks and scumbags that think nothing of the many circumstances of conflict of interst rulings that they rule in favor of their friends and companies directly affected by their rulings. TREASONOUS SCUMBAGS deserve to be lined up and bumped off.

  24. Ron Rodriguez Says:

Great! Now he can go hunting with our Shooter-in-Chief, the cherry Dick Cheny

  25. Marc Dunkelberg Says:

Voting. The Governor can restore his right to vote even after he is convicted

  26. ElectricBassPlayer Says:

I don't even feel schadenfreude over this because I'm so tired of these mutts getting such penny-ante penalties. I suppose D-D-T-DeLay may receive more substantial punishment down the road, but I'm not holding my breath. In the meantime this seems more like nose-thumbing at the rule of law than justice. . .

  27. Stan Says:

You must be kidding! Folks in this state won't vote him out of office they will make him a state hero! I was born here and this state is starting to stink, too many transplants from other, forward thinking states. But hey, this is where folks were cheering when that "liberal yankee" Kennedy was shot. God help us all, if Lyndon Johnson were alive today he would be villified.

We have more weapons of mass destruction in Texas than the entire middle east! I hear the folks in Amirillo have nukes to, had 'em since the sixties. Place called Pantex, I guess thats okay... I hope justice is not DeLayed.

  28. L. KERN Says:

YOU MEAN THE F-ER CARRIED A GUN!!??!!

  29. Ginger Winchester Says:

Losing your gun permit in Texas - Wow

    Talk about feeling naked!

  30. vs1d12 Says:

Now we all know why delay was such a efficient leader not only would he distroy the opposition or indivual but he might whip out his piece and start banging away---and he might get lucky and hit someone perhaps evan hitting the poor soul he was aiming at.

  31. Stan Says:

I forgot to say earlier the transplants to Texas from more forward thinking states come here because they do not like that forward thinking. Why else do you see po' folk (not poor) with "W" stickers on their cars. I think there is a subtext to why folks support these guys (DeLay & Co) against their own best intrest. Kind of like "I want to be sure somone has the THUMB on you even if its on me too.", that is pathological but I think there is an element of that at work!
