Andrew Card pushed out?

“Card did not want to go. But he ‘heard the tom-toms,’ according to someone who knows him well, and told Bush it was in the best interests of the team for him to leave,” Time magazine reports.

neo-cons….they love to eat their own. Cannibals they are.

  2. krazny says:

If Bush really wanted to look like he was cleaning up his administration, he would fire Rove. Keeping him on is the Albatross around the neck, not Card.

  3. Pete Bogs says:

it’s notable he did NOT use the “spend more time with family” excuse… he really didn’t give a reason at all… which means this may be right…

  4. Reality says:

Whenever someone quits on the administration, it sends a powerful message to the terrorists that the White House is in disarray.

  5. Clif says:

#2 Bbbbbut for Bush that wouyld mean a full lobotomy

  6. Zookeeper says:

#5 – You mean the first one didn’t take?

  7. Clif says:

#6 KKKarl didn’t tell him about the first one. It was right after running for congress in west Texas as a “smart” yale graduate. (He got his ass handed to him by a Texan Good ole boy)

  8. Cyra Brown says:

I,m sure they gave Andy a choice: You can quit, or you can go with Dick on his next hunting trip. It’s up to you. Tough call.

  9. Paul in Mexico says:

Wait a minute, just a minute here. This was all Roves doing in the first place.

Rove is in charge of the White House and the country and you all have to realize that.

The White House “Dissarray” is Self Induced thru Self Serving Means. Sure they Will Blame the Media, the Terrorists, the people, the “Liberals”, the Blacks, the Islamics, the World ANYONE BUT THEMSELVES.

    WTFU.

  14. Aluminum Derby says:

Card was dealt a bad hand.

Looks like the Whitehouse is left with just jokers and queens.

    AD

  15. QUALAR says:

Card is leaving because he formed the White House Iraq Group (WHIG) which conspired to out Plame. Rove is trying to save his butt by steering Fitz to e-mails which clearly demonstrates Card’s leadership. Card saves both Bush and Cheney since they can claim overzealousness on his part. Rove will still be indicted for obstruction of justice and perjury.

  16. Hardy Haberman says:

Card is leaving to avoid going down with the ship. He knows the Bush crime family is doomed.

  17. GURU says:

Card was probably one of the better ones of this crooked administration.

    The Plame agonistes…

Scooter Libby’s defense team issues a few choice subpoenas……
