In case you’re unsure

where to bring your 5-year-old daughter if she develops a malignant brain tumor, talk to Rep. Curt Weldon (R-PA). He has strong opinions on the matter.

I couldn’t believe that. How is this playing out with the public in the area?

The Admiral’s statement, though, should have emphasized the quality of care more than it did. (the last section)

  3. Wayne says:

Weldon is the lowest POS pond scum for this attack.
I went through my mom’s cancer treatments, their failure, then her long painfull fight with death afterwards.
If it had been my daughter he had been talking about, I would have busted his jawbone.

The Republicans only know things that personally hit them. I don’t know who said it, it was a while ago, but out of frustration someone said Republicans need to all get cancer, for then they could show empathy. I don’t mean disrespect, but Senator Spector sured changed his tune about stem cell research, at least for a while, when he was diagnosed. I think it goes along with their own self-centerness.

‘”I don’t understand how poor people think,” and had described himself as a “white Republican guy who doesn’t get it, but I’d like to.” What’s annoying about Bush is when this obtuseness, the blinkeredness of his life, weighs so heavily on others, as it has increasingly as he has acquired more power.’ – Bush

The Bush twins seemed to be left alone, certainly a lot more than Chelsea. Man, Rush Limbaugh was a degenerate when it came to her.

I which more people would get strong (We all were just waiting for Joh Kerry and he just took and stood there. One of the biggest disappointments.), and say we aren’t going to take this nasty BS any more. Draw the line, let them now the rules.

  5. Wisco says:

Weldon seems pretty desperate. I know it’s a tight race right now, maybe he’s seen some polling that knocked him back a bit.

Regardless, it was a pretty SFB’d move on his part.

I’m surprised he didn’t say take him to church and try some faith-based healing.

  11. Jenny Ho says:

I just can’t stand it when those blazing liberals launch false weak scandalus threats on Bush & other republicans if you ask me Democrats want to control all of us each & everyuone of us they wanna decide everything for everyone & they love to capitialize on the weak dumb foolish ones and try & twist their minds into believing their evil propaganda

  12. Cyra Brown says:

I don’t care how much Mr. Weldon wants to win his race. There is NO EXCUSE for his behavior. His opponent was doing nothing more than everything he could to save his (adorable) daughters’ life. I know which man I would choose to support, if I lived in their state. Mr. Weldon showed his true face, and DAMN, it is an UGLY one.

#11- Get some help. You need it.

  13. freeme says:

    jenny-ho,
was it not republicans who passed an anti-abortion bill in SD? Wanna talk about control, look to the Republican party, faith-based initiatives have taken on a whole new meaning during this administration, there’s some more control. Run along now and don’t forget to wave your flag high and proud so all the neighbors can see.

  15. Ron says:

I had a relative who had a malignant glioma.

A dis-interested third party has no business involving himself with the process of treatment of the an extremely ill individual.

Mr. Weldon would get a bust in the chops from me.

The word ‘dumbass’ is the word of the day today.

    My 2 cents:

Jenny Ho – get lost. Another troll to ad to our growing list. Let’s not give the asshole the time and threadjacking they desire.

ReichtWingMoralValues…I’ve seent hat list before. It’s really good. But some advice: Create a diary, DKos will let you do it there, & link to it when you want to post that one. It’s kinda long…. But VERY WELL DONE!

On thread – What are K Weldon’s poll #’s right now? They guy must be desparate to use that kind of swiftboating this early in the campaign.

What is it with the good people from Pennsylvania anyhow? I know several & they are very cool. Apparently there are bunches of twits there too. Alas, there are too many twits everywhere. Thank God for California!

  17. Zookeeper says:

Holy. Shit. Weldon is truly the face of desperation. The Admiral handled him well, I think.

Oh yeah, Jenny Ho — Go f*ck yourself.

  18. Zookeeper says:

#14 – Bob Packwood: I lived in Oregon when this was going on. He was basically a clueless idiot with a truly unfortunate name.

Jim West: (It is West, not Wesr) Mayor of Spokane, arrogant and unrepentant. The people of Spokane forced him out recently.

Helen Chenoweth: A bitch of the highest order. I knew her husband Nick Chenoweth, difficult man, but you always knew where you stood with him. Told me once, while I was standing with a woman we both knew to be rabidly pro-life, that children should be drowned at birth. I almost died laughing, and decided I definitely liked him then. Died a long, horrible death of metastasized prostate cancer.

  19. Marty Didier says:

This is actually an interesting situation which many of you may not know why.

I’ve mentioned in many posts that I was in a crime family for more than 26 years who joined Organized Crime, only this wasn’t any ordinary crime system. They called it “The World’s Largest Organized Crime System” and for good reason.

I’m personally unaware of Curt Weldon’s intentions from his comment, but I can assure you that there is a major “super scary” problem within Healthcare, also involving Hospitals, that have direct links to corruption issues and a whole lot more. I can talk endlessly about this, but for now, I’ll recommend that those who are wise, may want to withhold comment. Certainly and I’ll agree that Weldon’s comments are very strange and out of character. But believe me, if his comments have hidden value for what I think they have, you’ll have a lot more to talk about for a very long time.
