Pentagon snooping more extensive than previously reported.

A Pentagon review, led by intel chief Stephen Cambone, has found that the Defense Department’s classified terrorism database improperly included data on U.S. peace activists roughly 260 times. That’s up from the 186 times that they previously reported to the Senate Judiciary Committee.

When was the last time some of you were at a protest? The last one I was at in Madison WI- I had my picture taken no less than three times by really “creepy” people-giving me a very creepy feeling. Psy ops? Or do you think I may have made it into a database somewhere?

I’m shocked and appalled, and hurt, and shocked…
Ya know; someone should call to have this president censured.

  10. Joe Bua says:

And if that’s how much Cambone is admitting to, it’s probaby a whole lot more.

So much for all that “I don’t mind, I have nothing to hide” malarky.

  13. Abby says:

It’s a stupid way to fight a war-on-terror. Spying on everybody results in more information than you can process, information processors get overworked and careless and become exactly like Bush and Condi reading the August PDB. You read it but the mind does not process it.

The eavesdropping works best only when you are trying to spy on you political opponents and that is all it is probably used for.

Why are you CONs so paranoid of liberals? Spying on quakers and peace activists? You freaks have no shame, and you’re too stupid to THINK. That leaves you with fear, paranoia and SPYING as the only miserables thing you freaks have? Get some meds.

Do you know what Cointelpro was? OF COURSE you are in a database, along with photos and video. You’re JOHN HANCOCK’D right next to me, brother/sister.

Not psy-ops, though. That’s something different. You’re on a dissidents list, but regrettably their coup FAILED in 2002, so they are just salting away info for the NEXT run at our Constitution.

DON’T BE AFRAID, BE ANGRY, and demand your rights. We WILL have justice for the crimes the Bushoviks have committed.

    Oh, and Lovable? Eat me.

    Party of freedom haters
    Party of chimp-faced halfwits
    Party of torture
    Party of child-rapers
Party of desperation that is digging itself such a deep hole that all we’ll have left to do on election day is to shove the dirt on top of them and walk away

Ton Delay and Duke Cunningham are just the begining, more to come as Tom Rools on other repugs just like his repug lackeys rolled on him, and the Dukester rolled on others……

  27. The Muse says:

By the way, in the unlikely chance that anyone from the GOP congress reads this site, submitting false testimony is considered contempt of congress. Not that would matter to them, they have bigger concerns, such as finding a hotshot criminal lawyer.

And jumping into the McKinney v. Cop fiasco. To which, I offer a bit o satire:

McKinney Trial Moved to The Hague

EWM- (April 5, 2006) Succumbing to the reality that the U.S. legal system is not up to the task of handling the “trial of the century,” officials announced today that the cop-beating trial of Rep. Cynthia McKinney will be reclassified as a war crime and moved to The Hague.

McKinney is accused of striking a Capitol Hill police officer who accosted her for bypassing a security checkpoint in the Longworth House Office Building. McKinney, a black woman, says it was a case of “racial profiling.” The burley cop, who was not injured, says his “feelings were hurt.” A tourist who witnessed the incident says, “Christ on a cross, can these morons just get over it?”…

  28. Preznit Pinhead says:

See, I told you that these republicans like smaller, less intrusive government.

And just remember, having a blow job or striking a cop who grabs you are both much worse that starting illegal wars that kill hundreds of thousands and plunge the country into trillion dollar deficits.

  29. Mark says:

More extensive than they admitted? Hmm, who wold have figured?

  30. konopelli says:

I’m guessing this’d STILL be just the bloody tip of the knife…

    just sayin’

  31. Styve says:

Does anyone have a list of anti-war and other progressive organizations that Bush’s NSA illegal wiretapping has been tracking?

Why is there no Congressional effort to put a complete stop to this bullshit?! That’s a rhetorical question, but one that deserves serious consideration…

    Styve

  32. lib4 says:

    Shocked….just shocked
When will this shit end…..I am over these corrupt, lying, incompetent fools…..

  33. progressive and proud says:

#32 Worry not, it will be over soon. I am in TN and we are OVER this regime. For the first time since Bill Clinton blazed a path of hopefulness here in the South, people are leaning dem. It is an awesome sight and I am so happy about it.

It all started, down here, with the video diagnosis and the thought of government on their deathbed with them making decisions that they cannot.

You screwed up there, neoliberals, that was the beginning of the end for you in TN. Bring out the fat lady and the dance music because that tactic let everyone know that repubs are NOT FOR SMALL GOVERNMENT. Bunch of liars and everyone here has ripped off that stupid W and replaced it with an M.

  34. Paul in LA says:

Yeah, Lovely, but what part of your babble is the part where you EAT ME.

“I am in TN and we are OVER this regime.”

That’s good, but too bad YOUR VOTING SYSTEM still LOVES GW.
