“U.S. Ambassador Zalmay Khalilzad warned in an interview broadcast Friday that
Iraq faces the possibility of sectarian civil war if efforts to build a national unity government do not succeed. He said such a conflict could affect the entire Middle East,” the AP reports.
The ”bad guys”are really going to accept your puppet unity gov’t,that can’t even leave the Green zone that’s protected by occupiers.
April 8th, 2006 at 10:47 amI thik i’ll get my facts on civil war from Fox News hosts rather than US Ambassadors thankyou very much!
April 8th, 2006 at 11:06 amYou mean there is going to be even more war?
Shocking! I’m in awe.
Must mean that there will be even more money spent, more taxslaves burdened even more.
Who can we thank for all of this?
April 8th, 2006 at 11:16 ambush/cheney PR efforts through the corporate press and military, internet and who knows where else will not alter reality. Prez bush can and probably will give five speeches a week and the reality of the “war,” economy, health care, buget problems, immigration and just about everything else he touches will not improve. Prez bush continually shows his lack of skill, understanding and ability to lead America in a manner that is helpful to ALL Americans, not just the very wealthy. His failure as a person and a leader is shown daily in the failure of congress to resolve issues and move toward a better country of everyone. Let Americans learn from our failure to understand that leaders need to have a proven history of leadership and not just an “Ah sucks” approach to life.
April 8th, 2006 at 11:21 am“BRING IT ON”
April 8th, 2006 at 11:24 am#4 S.Bob:”quotes”probably should be around word ”reality”.
April 8th, 2006 at 11:32 amExcellent work USA. Lets just kill the brown people, the muslims…
The brain dead will continue to belive Jesus is going to give them democracy and that will be enough.
April 8th, 2006 at 11:33 amAhhh… I see freedom is on the march in the Mideast. What was it Condi said about “thousands of strategic errors”? I see at least one.
April 8th, 2006 at 11:38 am” Widespread” Civil War is that like a little bit pregnant?
April 8th, 2006 at 12:07 pmAnd this is from ABC on line today:
April 8th, 2006 at 12:21 pmA senior official in the Iraqi government has for the first time said Iraq is in a state of civil war.
The deputy interior minister, Hussein Ali Kamal, was speaking a day after suicide bombers killed at least 70 people at a Shiite mosque in Baghdad.
Knowing we are in the hands of the most incapable, most politically motivated, most dishonest group of so-called “leaders” in the White House makes this news ever so more distressing and frightening.
If Bush&Co go off half-cocked again, what will the people do? I fear that they will scream and shout their objections, but it will be after the fact. When the initial hysteria settles down they will rationalize that Bush must remain in the White House because we can’t add to the turmoil with new leaders in a time of crisis.
They must be stopped now, but who will do it?
Attention all:
Applications are now being accepted for the position of US Ambassador to Iraq. Qualifications for consideration for this position must include:
An ability to ignore reality, no matter what is happening on the ground.
A willingness to swindle the Iraqi people while enriching foriegn interests, particularly those tied to creating a “Democratic” Iraq.
An unwillingness to travel within Iraq and a lack of knowledge on current and pre 1968 conditions in Iraq.
Support of Republican causes is helpful.

April 8th, 2006 at 12:23 pmMission accomplished did he proclaim,
April 8th, 2006 at 12:30 pmA superpower lived up to its name.
The right wing’s still backing,
This man that’s so lacking.
The carnage, oh what a shame.
Hell, the civil war is already in progress…

78 people slaughterd while worshiping. Imagine the same thing happening during Sunday Mass in St Patricks Cathedral (NYC)
April 8th, 2006 at 1:41 pmIf Seymour Hersh is correct about BushCo’s plan to nuke Iran, I don’t think we need to sweat the details of a “widespread civil war.” Civil war will pretty much dissipate as mushroom clouds gather.
April 8th, 2006 at 1:51 pmKhalilzad is a master of the obvious. It’s already a civil war, he just isn’t getting out of the Green Zone to see it.
