It’s frightening to think that only 63% of the people polled in this survey think he did something illegal or unethical regarding Plame. The guy denied knowing about it 8X!!!
A tiny little detail noted in today’s NY TIMES….
Last week’s court filing has already led the White House to acknowledge, over the weekend, that Mr. Bush ordered the selective disclosure of parts of the intelligence estimate sometime in late June or early July. But administration officials insist that Mr. Bush played a somewhat passive role and did so without selecting Mr. Libby, or anyone else, to tell the story piecemeal to a small number of reporters.
But in one of those odd twists in the unpredictable world of news leaks, neither of the reporters Mr. Libby met, Bob Woodward of The Washington Post or Judith Miller, then of The New York Times, reported a word of it under their own bylines. In fact, other reporters working on the story were talking to senior officials who were warning that the uranium information in the intelligence estimate was dubious at best.
I asked Judge Daddy this weekend how he was feeling about his favorite boy, Georgie, and it seems even he’s coming around. Not so impressed anymore. The Judge has been a tough nut (sometimes literally, sometimes figuratively), but I think we’ve got him on the line. Now, if I could only get him to stop watching Bill O’Reilly…
What I don’t understand is the arrogance of it all. He has admitted to illegal wire-tapping and now he admits to this. It’s in your face “And what are you gonna do about it”. The President of the United States of America acting like this is a disgrace to all that came before him.
It’s frightening to think that only 63% of the people polled in this survey think he did something illegal or unethical regarding Plame. The guy denied knowing about it 8X!!!

Silly JP – lying is only unethical when it is about sex.
The more closely people are following the issue, the more likely they are to say he did something illegal rather than merely unethical.
ergo if we can get people to ‘plug in’ instead of being tranquilized by the white noise of ‘politics as usual,’ we can get the momentum necessary to effect change.
#5
I have looked at or read most of the transcripts where he addresses the issue and it appears that he never actually says *he* did not authorize the leak. It was usually something about his ‘administration’ and getting to the bottom of it (while trying to kill the investigation).
I mention that only because it is very similar to what Clinton did with respect to Monica. Apparently repubs only think you’ve done something wrong if you cheat on your wife, but using classified information for political gain is apparently okay.
If Clinton had done that he wouldn’t have just been impeached…
But…there is a big difference between ‘unethical’ and ‘illegal’ which this story has lumped together. The difference is that lots of people can find something unethical without staying pissed off and discounting all his other proposals/actions.
By the way, his comment on Iran sounds like Iraq. You know, we’ll tell the suckers we are in talks but in reality we decided to bomb them a few months ago.
Yes, and of that 63%, just 21 think it was illegal. That represent the hard left and the radical base they represent.
According to ABC, just 33% favor impeachment, 66% oppose. Please push this hateful agenda. We will wrap it around your neck and leave you gasping at the polls….. AGAIN.
It is not frightening that 37% won’t ever realize that Bush is a fvck up.
You guys need to come to grips with the fact that 37% of our population truly believe that Bush is the second coming of Christ. They think he is going to bring about the end times for the Christians and they will all be whisked away to a place where the streets are made of gold and people enter through pearly gates.
Was it Kevin Phillips who said that there are a large number of people that don’t care how Bush spends the national teasury and don’t care about the ecomony “because they are waiting for the second coming”

I can’t wait for the mid-term elections to show the Republicans that their hateful rhetoric can only carry them for a short time.
They rose to power over their hate for Pres. Clinton and his surplus budgets, ushered in more corruption and un-ethical behavior than any other administration in history, and ballooned the deficit and debt to historical breaking levels.
Yeah, it sure looks like the Republican stranglehold on power will soon be a footnote in history.

You’re suffering from hubris. (Look it up, I know it’s one of them thar 50 cent words) No single political party remains in power forever. If you don’t believe me, try looking up the history of the House and Senate. How many times have Dems & Reps changed majority status?
You’re just trying to hold on to your message of hate, and that’s a horse whose legs are falling off.
Don’t worry, we’ll still have the freedom of speech even after the GOP attempts to gut the Constitution. You’ll be able to spout your bile for a long time to some.
Piece together the White House’s own admissions and it doesn’t even paint a pretty picture. They are getting whalloped on this issue, and rightly so. There’s no good way so say “yeah, we did that evil, vengeful thing, but we flexed our power to make it legal before we secretly arranged it.”
Actually I believe the republicans are pandering to the corporations on immagration not the left. All the corporate money means they are owned by corporate interest.
Bush’s approval ratings can’t go much lower. He is already hitting the hard cap. The right wing sites are in a tissy. They mostly post about just how communist/facist/socialist are the liberals? If liberalism has failed, conservatism has failed even bigger.
#30 – you are right on immigration, but wrong on conservatism. It has not failed, some of our messengers have. But compared to the failed messengers of the left, Bush is Tom Brady for chrissake. Democrats are still in shambles and will be for sometime.
#30 – It’s why the Republican party is splintering. They’ve sold out their souls for corporate interests, and those same corporate interests WANT the cheapest labor possible.
Now, throw in the extremist Republicans that want to kill every illegal immigrant in sight.
Now, throw in the moderate Republicans that want to provide a way for illegal immigrants to work to become legal.
Now, watch the Republican party fall apart at the seams.
Dude head over to rightwingnews.com if you want to see shambles. Oh, well. I’m sure that the head-in-the-sand Republicans will continue to tell themselves that their “political whore” of a party is still a “virtuous maiden” worth fighting for at all costs.
I don’t think that history will be as kind to the failed Republican policies as you are, but then again, no partisan is willing to admit they fumbled the ball when they were wide open with no blockers in sight.
“If there’s a leak out of my administration, I want to know who it is,” Bush told reporters at an impromptu news conference during a fund-raising stop in Chicago, Illinois. “If the person has violated law, that person will be taken care of.
“I welcome the investigation. I am absolutely confident the Justice Department will do a good job.
“I want to know the truth,” the president continued. “Leaks of classified information are bad things.”
He added that he did not know of “anybody in my administration who leaked classified information.”
try this method for the troll…let’s see what happens, from last week:

A word to Unemployment Rate – 4.7% regarding the abject hanger and hate you express here:
The Motivational Side of Anger
No one is sure exactly how the motivation generated by anger is produced since the way in which the mind works is still mostly a mystery. However, the four different aspects of the motivation generated by anger can be described as follows.
An increased focus on your needs or wants: As you become angry, the pain and needs of others becomes increasingly unimportant. All that matters is your pain and what you want.
A greater sense of confidence: The angrier you are, the more you believe you can do whatever is necessary to eliminate the perceived threat or to meet your needs.
A sense of righteousness: Anger produces a sense that what you are doing is morally justified.
A reduced awareness of all other emotions: All other emotions are swallowed up in the overwhelming psychological and physical sense of strength generated by anger.
Get some help Unemployment Rate – 4.7%. You need it now, and you’ll be needing it more when the people rise up and finally say no to the criminal Bush and his band of goons (the entire republican party and its supporters).
I am not a football fan. Baseball and Hockey on the other hand I enjoy a great deal. A side note, I do enjoy womens curling, mostly because the girls on the US womens curling team are hot.
On topic, I think your Tom Brady=greatness, Bush=Tom Brady, thus Bush=greatness logic is well lacking any sort of intelligence.
Didn’t the Bush administration CHANGE the formulation for computing unemployment just after taking office? He couldn’t even be held to the same standard as Clinton. If his record was calculated according to the old standard it would be even worse. So your name is a lie – why should we take anything you say at face value, Bush Cultist?
anger is the result of the minds idea of what should be happeing not matching with what is happening in the “outer” world. the only way to change anger is to change what the mind sees and thinks, working with acceptance of the circumstances, the ability to see both sides and the willingness to take control of the mind and be “bigger”. the mind is a wonderful friend, yet a terrible master when left uncontrolled! i think most retardicans here are mostly controlled by their simple minds, nothing more, nothing less, just stunted people, looking for love!
Tom Brady – he must be referring to the ex-mayor of Los Angeles. OK, so now poor cowboys don’t hold your interst, you want big important black men, eh? You are so fickle lil’ one.

Basically, UR-4.7% is in love with Brady. Just check out the pictures of him!

“As for Democrats putting forth plans – censure and impeachment aren’t really what average Americans care about. Comment by Unemployment Rate – 4.7%”
That’s true – they care about the corruption, deaths and economic uncertainty that has resulted from the WORST presidency in american history. And the REAL unemployment rate is 12% in the US by the way. What you cite is the ‘unemployment benefits rate of 4.7%’. That’s only the people who haven’t lost their benefits yet.
Bush has had the second worst recession recovery in american history. He’s hardly a ’success’, and america knows it. It’s why he’s one of the least popular second term presidents in history as well.
But don’t let ‘reality’ cloud your little psychotic moment – especially if the meds are starting to wear off.
Now why would 37% of Christians think Bush is the second coming of Christ? Because of His Lies?
Naw, I think that 37% thinks he’s the Anti-Christ. Look at the Skull and Bones. That Drinking from the Skull is a ‘Pechenga’ Ritual. Uncle Togarma get it? Turko Finn Jews, False Jews, the Edomites, of Gog and Magog of End Times The ones that Killed Christ? The Khazars? The number 322 of the Skull and Bones is a reference to Genesis 3:2-2 where Evil Begins…Come on Christians even you can surely see that Bush, without the Wacko Secret Clubs, is certainly not a ‘good’ person.

Bush’s approval ratings can’t go much lower. He is already hitting the hard cap. The right wing sites are in a tissy. They mostly post about just how communist/facist/socialist are the liberals? If liberalism has failed, conservatism has failed even bigger.
April 11th, 2006 at 1:51 pmI was referring to my previous post big papa -
for those of you who have missed it – this ’splains everything when it comes to trolls

April 11th, 2006 at 1:51 pm#30 – you are right on immigration, but wrong on conservatism. It has not failed, some of our messengers have. But compared to the failed messengers of the left, Bush is Tom Brady for chrissake. Democrats are still in shambles and will be for sometime.
April 11th, 2006 at 1:54 pm#30 – It’s why the Republican party is splintering.
April 11th, 2006 at 1:54 pm#33 – just like Democrats did over the war, the Supreme Court and taxes.
April 11th, 2006 at 1:56 pmDude head over to rightwingnews.com if you want to see shambles. If you haven’t noticed, the democrats, have been creating a focused message, putting forth workable plans, and confronting head on the challenges that face this country. The republicans have been deserting the sinking Bush ship, or lining up for the 2008 election.
Not sure what he Tom Brady reference is supposed to mean? anyone, anyone, Bueller, Bueller.
April 11th, 2006 at 1:57 pmDo you whackos actually think that 1% is a huge victory?
Crazy wingnuts.
April 11th, 2006 at 1:59 pmmadashell – that site is SO FUNNY! I e-mailed it to several friends.
unemployed troll – what!!!! are you STILL here? Jesus kid, you must be a few frys short of a happy meal. Maybe you’ve got a few screws loose.
Me, I think you saw Brokeback Mountain, knew Heath was supposed to be for you in life, and am now taking it out on poor unsuspecting liberals because you can’t deal with the fact that you are secretly gay, but we don’t care. Well, you’re partially right. Heath was for you and WE DON’T CARE…..Seek help lil’ one.
April 11th, 2006 at 2:00 pm#36 – Tom Brady = GREATNESS. Compared to the Democrats, so does Bush. AND Bush has been awful lately so you do the math.
As for Democrats putting forth plans – censure and impeachment aren’t really what average Americans care about.
April 11th, 2006 at 2:00 pm#32 – Pres. Bush is actually closer to Pat Tillman. Shot by his fellow soldiers, and the Army can’t even admit they made a mistake in killing an American.
April 11th, 2006 at 2:01 pmAhhh yes, a right wing nut bag comes to a progressive site and tells one of the progs to STFU.
Ummm, yeah right.
BTW: This dickhead is wwallace.
April 11th, 2006 at 2:02 pmI cordially invite any troll to reconcile this:
“If there’s a leak out of my administration, I want to know who it is,” Bush told reporters at an impromptu news conference during a fund-raising stop in Chicago, Illinois. “If the person has violated law, that person will be taken care of.
“I welcome the investigation. I am absolutely confident the Justice Department will do a good job.
“I want to know the truth,” the president continued. “Leaks of classified information are bad things.”
He added that he did not know of “anybody in my administration who leaked classified information.”

April 11th, 2006 at 2:02 pm#40 – intereting analogy. What does that make John Kerry and Al Gore?
April 11th, 2006 at 2:04 pmYes it is, you need to get out more, retard.
Talk to somebody else besides your stupid troll friends.
April 11th, 2006 at 2:05 pmtry this method for the troll…let’s see what happens, from last week:
g.w.superchrist 13 – “Next time a republican mentions mckinney – just respond with – Yes, Tom Delay is corrupt… or I agree, warrantless domestic wiretapping is against the law… or maybe You are correct, this is the most incompetent administration ever.â€
EXCELLENT IDEA … might i add, or insert, “next time ANY TROLL mentions ANY DIVERSION – respond accordingly…
April 11th, 2006 at 2:05 pmif you don’t mind i may copy/paste that elsewhere and often…thanks!
Comment by katy — April 5, 2006 @ 7:25 pm
Again who the fuck is Tom Brady?
I don’t think he was on the Brady Bunch.
#36 – Tom Brady = GREATNESS. Compared to the Democrats, so does Bush. AND Bush has been awful lately so you do the math.
Does the above sentence make any sense to anyone?
April 11th, 2006 at 2:06 pm#39 – Yeah, the Democrats used to think “censure and impeachment aren’t really what average Americans care about” until 1998.
Pretty soon, the pendulum swings back, and knocks people upside the head pretty hard. I’m sure it won’t damage anything in use in you when it does hit you UR-4.7%
April 11th, 2006 at 2:06 pmSmarter than Bush.
April 11th, 2006 at 2:07 pm#46 – sad. Very sad.
April 11th, 2006 at 2:08 pmI guess this means you don’t know either. you have not posted a link to a bio, given any explanation, or even said anything useful.
April 11th, 2006 at 2:10 pmA word to Unemployment Rate – 4.7% regarding the abject hanger and hate you express here:

Not a single poll lands on the side of Republicans!
This includes Fox News, you know, the news-whores for the Republican party? They report a 14% advantage in the Democrats favor!
April 11th, 2006 at 2:16 pmOkay a quick google search brings up several pages concerning Tom Brady. My question is did you mean this Tom Brady
http://www.technomancer.com/~duncan/
or this Tom Brady.
http://tombradyonline.net/
I am not a football fan. Baseball and Hockey on the other hand I enjoy a great deal. A side note, I do enjoy womens curling, mostly because the girls on the US womens curling team are hot.
On topic, I think your Tom Brady=greatness, Bush=Tom Brady, thus Bush=greatness logic is well lacking any sort of intelligence.
April 11th, 2006 at 2:16 pmComment by Unemployment Rate – 4.7% — April
Didn’t the Bush administration CHANGE the formulation for computing unemployment just after taking office? He couldn’t even be held to the same standard as Clinton. If his record was calculated according to the old standard it would be even worse. So your name is a lie – why should we take anything you say at face value, Bush Cultist?
April 11th, 2006 at 2:18 pmanger is the result of the minds idea of what should be happeing not matching with what is happening in the “outer” world. the only way to change anger is to change what the mind sees and thinks, working with acceptance of the circumstances, the ability to see both sides and the willingness to take control of the mind and be “bigger”. the mind is a wonderful friend, yet a terrible master when left uncontrolled! i think most retardicans here are mostly controlled by their simple minds, nothing more, nothing less, just stunted people, looking for love!
April 11th, 2006 at 2:18 pm#54 – of course you think that.
There is an upside to anger, I suppose.
April 11th, 2006 at 2:20 pmTom Brady – he must be referring to the ex-mayor of Los Angeles. OK, so now poor cowboys don’t hold your interst, you want big important black men, eh? You are so fickle lil’ one.
PS – he’s dead, don’t get your hopes up.
Who else can we wikipedia?
PPS – I can’t help it, sometimes the trolls are so lil and brain dead, I have to play with them.
April 11th, 2006 at 2:21 pm#23 “Considering that admission has been made that the president did something wrong.”
I may have missed this but what wrong was admitted and by whom? If you’re talking about Bush stating that he “declassified” some documents, He definately was not saying it was wrong to do so.
April 11th, 2006 at 2:21 pm#46 – Tom Brady, QB for the New England Pats.
http://www.absolutebrady.com/
Basically, UR-4.7% is in love with Brady. Just check out the pictures of him!
Comparing Pres. Bush to Tom Brady is like comparing the Republican party to ethical standards. It confuses the Republicans, and insults the ethical standards.
April 11th, 2006 at 2:23 pmThanks DS I did a google search myself. I am not a football fan as I noted in a previous post.
April 11th, 2006 at 2:25 pmWorst. President. Ever.
April 11th, 2006 at 2:43 pmTerrible judgement.
Awful communication skills.
Police state vision for America and the world.
Compromised integrity.. no…. uncertain level of honesty… no… LIAR… yup.
Ran our government into debt for generations while making his rich friends into absurdly rich friends.
Why would the numbers be so bad for such a great guy?
Hey, maybe he’s not such a great guy after all? Maybe he’s the worst thing that ever happened to our country. Maybe this is a very very bad man. Maybe this is the
Worst. President. Ever.
#61 – Neither am I. Everyone I knew in the Army was, so I picked up a little there. When I lived in Connecticut, my partner worked for the NFL, and I learned more than I ever wanted to learn.
Oh well. Usless bits of information are sometimes good to have! :-)
April 11th, 2006 at 2:48 pm“As for Democrats putting forth plans – censure and impeachment aren’t really what average Americans care about.
April 11th, 2006 at 3:09 pmNow why would 37% of Christians think Bush is the second coming of Christ?

Michael Scanlon: How to “bring out the wackos”
April 11th, 2006 at 3:39 pmHere’s something that should at least temporarily replace “poor, uneducated, and easy to command” as the most outrageous characterization of conservative Christians.
——
So Scanlon and Delay, Mr “Morals” Christian is a LIAR, If Scanlon and Delay think Christians are Wackos who need to be lied to, then they are not Christian are they?
So then all these people that are Hard Core Pro-Bush are either Dupes or Cohorts?..Hmm I’ll wager that about 75% of them are Dupes. The Other Pro-Bush Folks are Just Nefarious Lying Self Serving Bastards Called Neo-Cons. And that Of Course is the Wolfowitz, Feith, and Perle, Kristol, Buckley, Robertson, Falwell and all the other Cheerleaders of this ‘Neo-Religion’
Very ‘Karaite’ Indeed.
That of course Helps explain the Faux War on Christmas eh?

April 11th, 2006 at 4:07 pmYes the illegal immigrant issue is a perfect way for the Republican party to go haywire. They want the cheap labor, but don’t want to view the people who perform the cheap labor as human beings. They hate illegal immigrants when the illegals aren’t working for them. Perfect way to really bring the hypocracy to the surface.

April 11th, 2006 at 4:28 pmThe American people elected this guy, sort of, two times. Six years down the road some of them may be waking up to the fact the he is simply a low life piece of shit scumbag lying ass dog. We were told that our greatist threat was a rogue nation. How about a rogue superpower? I repeat, this is a real dumb country that is getting just what it deserves. It’s too bad the rest of the world, which did not vote for this lunatic, has to suffer as well.
